Bubba Thomas was suffering from serious writers block. Not only was his choice of a pen name bad but his lack of creativity and the ability to come up with catchy clever titles were all a setup for a destructive path in his new found profession. This whole writing experience was all new to Bubba and didn’t realize how much his readers would pick his work apart from grammatical errors to lack of creativity and also compare his writings to that of a kindergartner. Bubba was in for a big surprise that just wanting to become a famous author isn’t enough. Bubba started off by sending his poorly written stories to big publishers that was a dead end road because when he called these companies they flat out told him over the phone they don’t take unsolicited material. Then after a few days of disappointment he decided to search the internet and find a way that he could get his work out there into the reader’s hands. Bubba hit the jackpot. A big smile came across his face self-publishing and he immediately signed up and uploaded his first story then sat back and waited for the money to start pouring in but there was dead silence and no sales or even a curiosity for his work.

Bubba decided to rent a cabin in the woods thinking this would activate his creative writing juices and a best-selling author would be born, but that would prove to be another dead end in his quest to become a best-selling author until a voice that came out of nowhere told him his dreams of being a best-selling author were about to come true. Bubba looked around the cabin to see where the voice was coming from but there was no one in the cabin with him. Bubba just thought trying so hard to write a killer novel and just coming up with a bunch of unstructured sentences and not getting as much as an hours sleep. His mind was playing tricks on him so he put down his ink pen and decided he needed a break and would go to the local bar in town and get a drink and start fresh the next morning.

Bubba didn’t have a whole lot of money because he spent most of it on his brainstorm idea of renting a cabin in the woods and writing a novel. When Bubba arrived at the bar and reached in his coat pocket for some money he only had enough to buy a few shots of whiskey and head back to the cabin to take a fresh stab at his novel. A tall blonde woman sitting directly across from him at the bar came over and sat right next to him and started a conversation that would change Bubbas life forever. The blonde woman invited Bubba over to her place for a romantic evening but Bubba was more interested in getting back to his cabin and start writing that he suggested they go to his cabin instead and he could feed her a bunch of crap about him becoming a best-selling author when he knew darn well he wasn’t one. The two left the bar and drove back to his cabin.

Bubba was excited to be taking this beautiful blonde back to his cabin and score big but the only score from one to ten he would be getting when the two laid together would be zero because this beauty was about to find out that he was impotent and couldn’t perform if his life depended on it. As the two were getting what should have been hot and heavy turned cold in a matter of seconds she pushed Bubba off of her beautiful soft body and begin to call him names and said she was out of here. Then all of a sudden the ghostly voice was back and told Bubba to kill her and his dream of writing a best-seller would become a reality. Bubba took the ghostly voice suggestion and began choking her until her last gasp of breath. The voice told Bubba to go to the desk and take the special fountain pen off the desk and stab her in the neck right in her jugular vein and place the inkwell so it could be filled up with her blood and go back to the desk and start writing and in an hour a best-selling author will be born. Bubba again followed the voices instructions and right as the fountain pen touched the paper words started flowing on the paper like a fast train nonstop until the novel was finished. Bubba was totally blown away and knew it was a masterpiece. The voice told him to take it to a big publisher and a deal will be struck and the money and fame will start flowing in. Bubba thanked the voice and headed straight to the publishers the next morning.

Bubba took his manuscript to bed with him and read aloud to the dead woman in his bed and thanked her for sacrificing her life so he could become the famous author he so desperately longed for. Bubba felt like he was on top of the world but now he was a murderer and he thought all he had to do is write one novel and be set for life but his dream would turn into a nightmare because just like any best-selling author one best-seller is not enough and Bubba would be back at it again and would eventually go on to write ten more best-selling novels until it all came to an end abruptly and pulled a revolver out of the drawer of his desk and point it at his head and pull the trigger. What caused his death was the ten women he had killed to become a best-selling author came back from the dead and surrounded his desk and took his fountain pen out of his hand and stabbed him in the neck and wrote on a blank piece of paper in Bubba’s blood in capital letters “The End!”

Bubba was supposed to be at a horror convention to be the guest speaker and sign autographs but was a no show so the police were called to check on him at his cabin and when they arrived all they found was a gruesome discovery. Right when the police opened the front door of the cabin the stench was so bad they about fainted. Most murderer’s bury or dump their bodies on the side of the road or in the woods, but Bubba just left the ten dead bodies either on his bed or sitting at his kitchen table for company. The police were baffled at the discovery because this best-selling author was so famous and there was no reason to believe he could harm anyone but he did.

Bubba would end up being labeled the first serial killer to be an author and his manuscripts he kept in his desk drawer were sent to the lab for DNA testing which matched the blood of every victim he had killed but they would never be able to question the real person or thing that drove Bubba to kill all these innocent victims so the case became an unsolved mystery and sent to be filed away with other cold cases in this town.
