Dear Reader,

Any job well done with a true heart is worthy of praise. I hope that the following verses, collected over a lifetime of labor, will help you to find joy in your daily tasks and comfort during times of adversity. When I’ve been weary, Scripture has given me strength. When I’ve felt discouraged, the Lord’s word has raised me up. When I’ve wondered whether or not my efforts are recognized, the Bible assures me that indeed they are, in this world and the next. For all that has been given to me by the work of my hands I am thankful beyond measure, and as an act of gratitude any profits made by this little book will be donated to people in need.

A Job Well Done

There is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work. Ecclesiastes 3:22

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. Proverbs 22:29

Whatever you do, work heartily. Colossians 3:23

The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars. Isaiah 9:10
