“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” Marcus Tullius Cicero, 58 B.C. Speech in the Roman Senate
Three women are mentioned in the Bible Book of Revelation. The first is introduced in the letter Apostle John wrote to the church at Thyatira while he was exiled on the Island of Patmos. Patmos is just off the Turkish coast, near Ephesus. His words, from Christ, are described in Chapter 2, Verses 20-24. This is the full description of that Jezebel:
“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.” Then in Verse 23, he writes the warning:
“And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one you according to your works.” Verse 24 concludes with encouragement and hope to avoid this terrible danger:
“But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.”
Now, on the surface and without further deep research this sounds like an actual human form woman named Jezebel causing trouble in Thyatira by claiming to be a prophetess. Heretofore, no one has been able to find a definition or description of this woman biblically or historically. If she did exist as an actual woman she left no trace of herself. But, we know someone claiming to be a prophet, and encouraging others to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. Reading only these few verses, one would never be able to interpret who this woman, what this metaphor, means. Since she is not a real ‘woman’ we must search for a common metaphor to determine who Jezebel really is. And, with more research that information is there within the Words of Revelation.
Before we go there, however, let’s first analyze the purpose for those letters to the seven churches, and to whom they were targeted. Some believe they were targeted and addressed only to those cited churches. That’s an erroneous assumption. Those letters were addressed to the churches and to all churches for all time, and to future generations, including our generation; especially our generation. These seven letters also function as a ‘table of contents’ for the remainder of Revelation. They give short comments of what’s to be explained later in Revelation.
So, how can we determine that? It’s written within the words, and some events mentioned could happen only in the future; such as the existence of that woman Jezebel. First, let’s analyze the words at the end of each of those seven letters.
To the church at Ephesus: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Notice this was addressed ‘unto the churches’ not just to that church at Ephesus. And, it didn’t specify just those seven churches. Furthermore, this is focused on a future event, not just on events in Ephesus at that time.
To the church at Smyrna: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” This is similar to the final comment to the church at Ephesus. It’s to the churches, not just to that one church at Smyrna.
To the church at Pergamos: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” Again, this message is addressed to ‘the churches,’ not just that one church.
To the church at Thyatira: This is the letter that introduced that woman Jezebel. Before the last verse, another verse indicated a future time, Verse 26: And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give the power over the nations.” Then in the end he repeats: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
To the church at Sardis: Again, that general inclusion, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
To the church at Philadelphia: In this letter, Chapter 3, Verse 9 presents a scenario that did not and could not exist at the time of that church. That situation has evolved over the centuries and is predicted to take place in the future. That condition is when Satan’s forces are defeated, and those warriors will learn to worship God’s forces: “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Then that same general invitation to all, “He that hath an ear, let him hear whata the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
To the church at Laodicea: Verse 20 offers another invitation to all, not just that church: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Then the last verse is that same inclusive invitation: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Clearly, these seven letters were written by John from visions and Words from Christ to all churches and all people for generations, not just to the seven churches that existed at that time. Most of that information was an introduction to the events and challenges that would happen to us, followers of Christ, even today; especially today with this new great challenge from Islam. This great Islamic threat is revealed in those letters many times. That’s where this first chapter, next, takes us; to explain how and why that woman Jezebel is a representation of Islam; that synagogue of Satan.
Before we can fully explain Jezebel’s role as a prophetess, we must first understand the role of the other two women discussed in Revelation. This Jezebel was mentioned only one time, as Jezebel, in that letter to Thyatira. The second woman who appeared in Revelation was described in Chapter 12. This is her description from that chapter; the first three verses:
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars; And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his head.”
These three short verses begin the story of Revelation and its purpose. These verses set the stage for that battle between good and evil; and Christ and Satan. That first wonder described in the last paragraph was a great wonder. It was the beginning of Christianity; ‘and being with child cried travailing in birth.’ This ‘great’ wonder and all things surrounding it described the birth of Jesus, to begin the creation of Christianity. In effect, that great wonder, that woman, is a metaphor for Christianity.
The remainder of Chapter 12 describes how Christianity was evolved from the birth of Christ, and how Satan became determined to destroy Christ, and Christianity, when Satan was eliminated from heaven by Michael and his angels. Verse 4 explains that Satan waited for the birth of Jesus to destroy him as soon as he was born. This attempt was made through a surrogate, King Herod, who tried to kill Jesus in an act known as the ‘Massacre of the Innocents.’ Of course, as history and the Bible, report; he failed. After this attempt, Verse 6 explains what happened:
“And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” This describes when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Egypt for safety. The next verses explain Satan’s expulsion from heaven and the consequences of that expulsion in verse12:
“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” The next verse identified Satan’s target on earth, “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.” This persecution was in the form of persecution from Rome and other Jews who didn’t accept Christ as the Messiah. That persecution continued over 300 years until a miracle happened. The description of this miracle is the written event in Revelation that provides the key to unlock Revelation’s full story. It’s detailed in Verse 14:
“And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”
This is the only reference in Revelation that gives a time starting point to connect all the other dots together to understand the full story. And, the first key is to understand the meaning of ‘times, and times, and half a time.’ The ‘two wings of a great eagle’ presents that information. The story begins at the Battle of Milvian Bridge with Constantine the ‘Great.’ An eagle with outstretched wings was the symbol of Rome, carried on a tall staff before marching troop formations. This is the description from Wikipedia of that battle and its preparation by Constantine:
“The Battle of the Milvian Bridge took place between the Roman Emperors Constantine I and Maxentius on 28 October 312. It takes its name from the Milvian Bridge, an important route over the Tiber. Constantine won the battle and started on the path that led him to end theTetrarchy and become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. Maxentius drowned in the Tiber during the battle.
According to chroniclers such as Eusebius of Caesarea and Lactantius, the battle marked the beginning of Constantine’s conversion to Christianity. Eusebius of Caesarea recounts that Constantine and his soldiers had a vision sent by the Christian God. This was interpreted as a promise of victory if the sign of the Chi-Rho, the first two letters of Christ’s name in Greek, was painted on the soldier’s shields. The Arch of Constantine, erected in celebration of the victory, certainly attributes Constantine’s success to divine intervention; however, the monument does not display any overtly Christian symbolism.”
Constantine’s conversion to Christianity led to the creation of the Roman Catholic Church. This was approximately 350 AD (Time, and times, and half a time.) Then as Verse 14 states, “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.” This puts the next referenced time at approximately 700 AD. Then, what happened at this time? This was the approximate time of the rise of Islam as a result of Muhammad’s actions. So, let’s continue with the story explained in Chapter 12.
The woman, Christianity, was persecuted by Satan’s surrogates until Constantine the Great formed the Catholic Church approximately 350 years after Jesus was born. According to this chapter, Satan was kicked out of heaven by Michael and his angels at approximately the same time Jesus was born. Satan failed to kill (12:4, ‘to devour her child as soon as it was born) Jesus through Herod’s efforts. Verse 16 explains what happened after Christianity was adopted by Rome: “And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.” Verse 17 explains what happened at that time and since then:
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” In simple terms; Satan continues to war against those of us who are Christians, and his ultimate goal is to destroy God’s realm. And, ‘time, and times, and half a time’ later Satan created a helper in his quest; an earthly helper. He created another earthly helper centuries later. This is all explained in Chapter 13, which begins:
“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”
The word ‘sea’ in this verse has confused interpreters in the past. What the word actually means is from the ‘sea of humanity.’ This reference is used in other places within Revelation which gives more interpretation as to the meaning of the word. In reality, this beast rose from the people of the earth – he was not sent down from heaven. The time sequence and the information in Verse 3 reveal exactly who this beast is. Verse 3, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed; and all the world wondered after the beast.”
Muhammad had a deadly wound that was healed at the Battle of Uhud, in 632 AD. He was thought dead, then he rose to continue the battle at another time. The time frame, date, and the wound clearly reveal this beast as Muhammad; along with his blasphemy against Christ by claiming he was a prophet higher than Christ – displacing Christ; in effect – the antichrist. The antichrist is called the ‘beast’ in Revelation. Centuries after Muhammad died from being poisoned by one of his captured wives, another beast appeared. This is described in Verses 11-12:
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake like a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
This second beast is also known as the ‘False Prophet.’ In my previous book, book 2, I explained with references, how and why this person exists on earth, today. His name is Barack Hussein Obama. Now that we have all the players identified and named, let’s return to those seven letters to determine the identity of that woman, Jezebel.
That Woman Jezebel
To really understand the identity and true name of this Jezebel one must first understand and acknowledge the players surrounding her. This understanding begins in the letters to the seven churches, which I explained earlier is simply an introduction of the contents of Revelation rather than simple letters to seven churches that existed in Asia at that time. The first clue to the first identity begins in the first letter; to Ephesus. The first considers false apostles in Chapter 2, Verse 2:
“I know thy works, and thy labor, and they patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil; and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.”
Now, understanding the information written in the first chapter of this book, it’s now easy to realize that this admonition is written to warn against false prophets and false apostles in the future. At the time this was written, few wanted to be uncovered as an apostle of Jesus, because they might suffer the same result; they knew they would be persecuted, even crucified. Christ gave these words for John to write seven centuries before they were to happen because He knew Satan intended to continue his efforts to destroy Him and his followers. He knew that ‘True Prophet’ that ‘Messenger of Allah’ would rise from the sea centuries later when the time was right.
In the very next letter, the one to Smyrna, he continues that same theme by exposing those who falsely claim to be Jews. Verse 9 adds, “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (that thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” Then in Verse 10, he offers encouragement to hold fast:
“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Two things are very significant in these verses:
First, although Islam rose seven centuries after Christ, the leaders of Islam claim to be descended from Jews; particularly Abraham and Ishmael. They are not. The tribe to which they claim ancestry disappeared from that area centuries before Muhammad was born. The ancestry some claim and follow is one contrived later by one of their devout followers. This can be confirmed online. To support their claim, they do acknowledge that Jesus was in the lineage but his position with God was subordinate to Muhammad’s. Valid research shows that Muhammad adopted his religion, Islam, from the moon god idol in Mecca. Therefore the comment, ‘those who claim to be Jews who are not.’ The blasphemy mentioned in the verse refers to the fact that Christ has been replaced, blasphemed, by Islam. The mention of the tribulation is a little more complex.
Verse 10, above says the tribulation will be ‘ten days.’ This ten days is a mystery since there’s nothing to corroborate that time event that will occur after the ‘abomination of desolation.’ The abomination of desolation described in Daniel, 9:27 identifies the period when Jerusalem will be invaded by the ‘prince,’ someone representing Satan; and the followers of Christ will be removed. This verse also suggests this will happen ‘in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.’ So there’s a conflict between the time forecast for the length of the tribulation period. Is it ten days (years) or is it one week (seven years?) Perhaps there’s one possibility to answer this question.
This event will occur at the midst of a covenant ‘with many for one week.’ This likely is the same covenant, that Iranian nuclear agreement that was recently signed by many (seven.) This agreement (covenant) identifies many different times for different parts of the covenant to apply. One likely is seven years, and others could be ten years or even longer. In either case, the signing of that agreement is an ominous signal that the tribulation period is near; within three to five years. My previous book, ‘Who is the False Prophet Beast?’ suggests Barack Obama is the False Prophet who will instigate and promote this dangerous covenant. This covenant begins the time line for the attack against Israel by Revelations’s beast. And, regarding the beast, let’s get closer to that identification of Jezebel.
This is how Jezebel is introduced in Revelation, Chapter 2, Verses 20-23. It’s in the letter to Thyatira:
“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21) And I gave her space to repent of her fornications; and she repented not. 22) Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23) And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”
The first clue as to the identity of Jezebel comes in Chapter 6, Verse 4, when the Lamb, Christ, opened the second seal, “And there went out another horse that was red; and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword.” So, what does a horse have to do with this identification of this woman? We get closer to that answer in the next reference. That’s in Chapter 17. The words of the woman is this chapter is so similar to those describing Jezebel that it’s obviously the same woman. So, let’s begin:
“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2) With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3) So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness; and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked in gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.” Then Verse 5 begins the real identification of this Jezebel:
“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” The next verse exposes exactly who Jezebel is; that mother of harlots known as Babylon:
“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus; and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”
There is only one woman, religion, drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. That woman is the religion, Islam. And, there is one more major clue that connects Jezebel to Babylon and Islam. It’s the statement, ‘And I will kill her children with death.’ Verses 15-18 give that information and that conclusion:
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16) And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast (ten Muslim nations) these shall hate the whore (Islam’s radicals) and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17) For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. (He fulfills his promise to ‘kill her children with death’ by having mother Islam – Jezebel – kill her children, the Islamic radicals, herself.)
Verse 18 concludes, “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city (Babylon, the Islamic Beast, and Jezebel) which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”
Even with those seven letters to the seven churches in Asia intended to be a table of contents and an introduction to the text of Revelation, it would have been impossible for centuries after they were written to use them as a table of contents. Most of the information in those letters didn’t exist or occur until recently. For example, the important information in those letters pertaining to the beast, Islam, created by Satan. Islam didn’t rise until approximately 700 years after those letters were written.
Can you imagine the frustration of those during the first centuries after Revelation was written trying to interpret ‘false apostles,’ ‘those who claim they are Jews but are not,’ and ‘that prophetess, Jezebel’ before Islam was created by that antichrist, Muhammad? It would have been impossible for them to make any sense of these verses. Now, these meanings are crystal clear; and more of those coded words and expressions become clearer each day.
In summary, Revelation was written to reveal the battle between good and evil; God and Satan. These are represented in Revelation in the form of two women. One woman, Christianity, is described in Chapter 12. This chapter said Christianity was born in pain and as soon as it was born, it was immediately challenged and threatened by Satan. Satan failed in his first attempts to destroy that woman, Christianity, and was wroth with the woman and went to make war with her. Christianity survived, and Satan continues to make war to remove God from heaven. He swore to do it in Chapter 10, Verses 5-6:
“And the angel (Satan) which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted his hand to heaven , And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.”
Islam is based only on a self-proclaimed prophet (prophetess) named Muhammad. By metaphor, in Revelation, the Islamic system is also called: Beast, Jezebel, and Mystery Babylon.” However, while reading and interpreting Revelation the word ‘beast’ must be considered carefully. It doesn’t specifically denote evil. Often it simply references a being or a force. Verses in Chapter 4 offer an example of certain ‘beasts’ supporting the realm of God. It begins with Verse 5:
“And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God. 6) and before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 8) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”
These verses present two specific points ‘crystal clear.’ The first, as suggested above, is that ‘beast’ is a general reference to any being or force in revelation that has no other specific description. It’s a general description of ‘something.’
The second point is that these verses are perhaps the basis of our statement of profound clarity; ‘crystal clear.’ These beasts above could see before and behind in a sea of glass like unto crystal. And they were full of eyes within. Does this not mean they can see everything in the past and in the future ‘crystal clear?’ Revelation gives us a clear look into the past as in the story of Christianity and Islam. Since the purpose of Revelation is to ‘reveal’ shouldn’t that written about the future be just as valid as that written about the past?
God’s last word to the churches, 3:22, makes His warning very clear: “He that hath and ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” We are a church unto God; therefore this warning is to everyone, not just to those seven ancient churches. Jezebel is among us, and she’s just as alive and dangerous as described in Revelation. She is here to support Satan’s goal to remove God from heaven. God’s other warning in those letters to us is to ‘Hold fast, and remain in the Spirit.’
God bless America; and protect Israel.

This is the full description of that Jezebel: “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.†Then in Verse 23, he writes the warning: “And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one you according to your works.†Verse 24 concludes with encouragement and hope to avoid this terrible danger: “But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.†Now, on the surface and without further deep research this sounds like an actual human form woman named Jezebel causing trouble in Thyatira by claiming to be a prophetess. God bless America.
