What is Salvation

What is Salvation

Ronald Feasel

My sins weigh upon my heart,

trying to rob me of the joy,

that has been given to me,

from my savior.

I must rest in the grace and mercy,

of the sacrifice and resurrection,

that was done for me and others,

which was accomplished in his sacrifice.

As Paul wrote in Romans 7: 21 to 25,

`So I find this to be a principle: when I want to do what is good, evil is right there with me. For I delight in the Law of God in my inner being, *][*23 but I see in my body a different principle waging war with the Law in my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin that exists in my body. *][*24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is infected by death? *][*25 Thank God through Jesus the Messiah, our Lord, because with my mind I myself can serve the Law of God, even while with my human nature I serve the law of sin.`

Therefore I must rest in the saving grace,

that frees me from condemnation,

and sets my spirit free forever from,

the sin that indwells in me.`

Romans 8: 1-2

[*1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, *]

2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

No Condemnation

No condemnation,

it’s the gospels foundation.

it’s the believers elation,

in our salvation.

Though we are sinners,

we are forever winners.

Our eternity is guaranteed,

and we are forever freed.

This hope springs in our minds,

filling us with hope that binds.

We are now filled with his grace,

in every way and every place.

Our hearts are free from fear,

we know the Lord is near.

This life will pass in time,

to our future which will be sublime.

Hebrews 10:10

10 *][*And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

How are we sanctified or set apart,

by believing in Jesus in our heart.

Then we become children of God,

no longer illegitimate or a fatherless fraud.

Now we have been grafted in,

forgiven our rebellion in sin.

When at death we leave this Earth,

we will be given immortal bodies in a new birth.

We eagerly await this hope,

which enables us to cope.

The passage of time draws us near,

and removes all sadness and fear.

Our youth may be gone,

but it will return and it will spawn,

eternal youth in every eternal dawn.

Accept the gift and receive the grace,

with Salvation you will win the race.

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Peter 1:8-9

Not seen Him

Our eyes have never seen him,

but he was never grim.

He came to save,

not to judge our way.

His miracles were many,

to prove his deity it was uncanny.

Blessed are those that believe,

that have not seen for they, will never grieve,

The word did become flesh,

he came and renewed our hope a fresh.

And with our mind it did mesh.

One day we will see him in is glory,

and it will be the truthful story.

no more will we worry,

our excitement will be in an, uncontrollable flurry.

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.

Thessalonians 5:9-10[*  *]

No Wrath

Not destined for wrath,

but given a forgiven path.

Our future then is secure,

so persevere and endure.

Hold fast to his promise,

don’t be a doubting Thomas.

Keep the truth in earnest,

with the ethic of an educated internist.

If we are asleep,

We live in him to keep.

If we are awake,

his love for us will not shake.

Take this promise to your mind and heart,

then from this you will never part.

His message is very clear,

and the gospel is very austere.

Transcendent (beyond comprehension)

The gospel is transcendent,

beautiful, powerful, very resplendent.

It crosses all boundaries of language,

no culture or language is an obstacle,

the message is clear and logical.

The message gives life and truth,

to the old and to the youth.

Its clear and simple to all,

it will keep you from an eternal fall.

Simply repent and believe,

no longer will you grieve.

The longer you wait,

it might be too late.

Death could come at any second,

Jesus your savior has beckoned.

Real love can be defined,

it starts in the heart and mind.

Humility is the core,

from humbleness love will be more.

Real love seeks not its own,

so the more you humble yourself,

the more you will love other selves.

True Biblical love is this,

the humbler you are the more love you, will give to others,

to your sisters and brothers,

wouldn`t you druther.

Real love doesn`t seek its own,

but desires to give joy and need,

to others, this is the Biblical creed.

Jesus demonstrated this in the last supper,

as he washed the feet of his disciples.

His love for them was revealed,

this love was not concealed.

He created us but yet he humbled himself in love.

so get this love from above.

believe in Jesus and fly like a dove.

If you love others, from heaven you will be blessed,

even to love your enemies is a true test.

He has power over disease,

He has power over nature,

He has power over demons,

and power over death.

This proof was in his earthly walk was proven,

it is amazing and it is moving.

Now we can rest in his power,

in every second and every hour.

Life in him he gave,

in our hearts hope he did engrave.

Now are future is secure,

he has given us the eternal cure.

His power is over all things,

We one day will have the heavenly wings.

Take his power and love,

then join him one day above.

JOHN 14: 27

27 *][*Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

What is real peace,

it is a peace that will never cease.

Jesus will give this to us when we drift,

when believe in him and accept his gift.

Our hearts may be troubled,

confused and muddled.

But you can break this burdensome load,

and enter into a peaceful abode.

Fear may enter you mind,

then trouble with fear becomes combined.

Let Yeshua erase these too,

and give new life and that is true.

His resurrection gave us joy,

and a new promise we can enjoy.

Now we can look to our future,

which gives our hearts and minds a booster.

New life added that comforts with peace,

and gives us joy that can`t cease.

Jesus told his disciples he would die,

He said he would be lifted up (crucifixion) and die,

He said he would arise,

He said he would ascend to the Father,

He said he would send the Holy Spirit,

He said he would give supernatural life.

These things happened as he said,

which gave them confirmation of his deity.

This empowered them and made them bold,

so they would go and the gospel they would unfold.

15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. *]^[*2 *]^[*He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes^[+[*a^+]^]^[* so that it will be even more fruitful. ]^[*3 *]^[*You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. *]^[*4 *]^[*Remain in me, as I also remain in you.No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.]

Who prunes the vine,

God the Father with love so fine.

His son is the true vine,

who came to save all mankind.

The branches must bear fruit,

be pruned and bear more fruit.

The branches must be in the vine,

or they will bear no fruit as it is defined.

Jesus is the vine for the branches,

without the vine the branches lose all their chances.

Remain in the vine and the vine will remain in you,

Then more fruit will you accrue.

John 8:58

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”

Jesus declares who he is,

and says it plainly without any fizz.

He also declares his eternal existence,

revealing his supernatural subsistence.

Truly truly these words confirm his proclamation,

to all in the world and all creation.

In him any can bear fruit,

the disciple his words they did not dispute.

JOHN 15: 4

4 *][*Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Jesus said he is the true vine,

my branches must be attached to me,

and bear fruit then be free.

How do we become these branches to the true vine,

believe in him and then you will with him dine.

Then you will bear fruit,

and share the gospel to boot.

Abide in him,

and you will fill your life to the brim.

He will abide in you,

and fruit to you will accrue.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 *][*But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,^23 *]^[*gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

What are the fruits of the spirit,

we need to grasp it and wear it.

Galatians list the fruit,

take it to your heart and even be astute.

Love is there and it`s a fruit to have,

it`s soothing like a tender blessing never to be halved.

Joy is a wondrous fruit to sense,

it fills you up and is never dense.

Peace can rest your soul,

can lift your spirit and make you whole..

Forbearance can cause you to delay and to wait,

will keep you patient and keep your paths straight.

Kindness will be a trait you need to embellish,

yearn it and in its fruit you will it relish.

Goodness will be your definition,

it is a noble action and mission.

Faithfulness is needed to secure a path,

this will spare you any wrath.

Gentleness will define your disposition,

added to your fruit a worthwhile addition.

Self control is a necessary to add,

strengthen it and you will be glad.

Romans 10:9New International Version (NIV)

9 *][*If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
