Transform Your Life Through Necessity.

Regardless of what you think, there is always something you can do to transform. We all could be the person we want to be. We could all wake up early in the morning and hit the gym everyday. We could choose to have a higher level  of impact on our life and the lives of our friends and family. We could even choose to be happy. We all have this capability.  The problem is our mental conditioning hasn’t made the things we want in life necessary. Sure,  we have tons of things on the to-do list and even more things that we know we could do but they are not necessary. If you truly felt that those changes were necessary then they would have already been made.

I’m sure that most of you can relate to a time when you struggled with some change in your life. Maybe it was managing your weight or growing your business. Or maybe, it was getting up early in the morning and working out everyday. Whatever it was that you were struggling with, you just couldn’t make it work and I know how hard you tried.  Things just wouldn’t fall into line. You just could not summon enough willpower. Then, suddenly, something changed. A dramatic shift occurred. A transformation through necessity. Whatever it was you were trying to change became a necessity. After that,  it was done. The change was made. Willpower was no longer required.

Understanding this concept is the beginning of the most important journey of your life because it will allow you to access the potential that is already inside of you.

I understand that some of you are hoping that I can transform your life just by writing this.   Fortunately, this is NOT true. I am not a guru. I’m a regular guy who is trying to help “YOU” transform “YOUR” life. I’ve done a lot of research and I apply these simple life changing techniques in my own life everyday. I specifically search for, research and use these tools to get results. With this in mind,  I can speak from experience when I tell you that these techniques work and they’re highly effective. I would like to consider myself an expert. A mechanic for your mind.

We all trust different people for different things. We trust a computer technician to keep our computers running and our mechanic to keep our car running. In the same fashion, I hope to be a mechanic for your mind.  Now,  that doesn’t mean that I don’t want you to get a second opinion.  As I stated before, I am not a guru.  Therefore, I won’t  act like my answers are the only answers or that I have an answer for everything. We are all experts at something and I personally believe that I am an expert at helping people get the results they want out of life. Even still, I hope that you get a second opinion about anything you read here (or anywhere) the same way that you would get a second opinion from a doctor, a mechanic or an insurance agent. As with any of these other services, the ultimate outcome of the transformation you are looking for is dependent upon you. Getting your car repaired doesn’t mean you’ll have a nice car. Getting your home repaired doesn’t mean you will have a nice home. Whether you have nice things or not is dependent on whether or not you take care of them and keep up on the maintenance. A professional contractor can’t do anything except give advice about what you should or could do to maintain your home. He has no way to make you clean your dishes or take your shoes off at the door. In the same way, i can give you a tool. I can even help swap parts of your mental programming but that alone does not guarantee a transformation.  

Well, you might ask, “How can I guarantee a transformation?”

The answer is simple.

Turn that goal or transformation into a necessity.

Although it may seem simple, it is 100% true. Once something becomes a necessity, it will get done. You see, there are certain patterns of human psychology and behavior that are universal.  All humans follow similar patterns regardless of where they come from, their race, background or personal beliefs. If you understand these patterns, you can harness their power to guarantee results.

To illustrate this point.  I am sure that many of you have learned something new or read a book where information was revealed that you thought was absolutely important. You thought that it was going to give you a breakthrough in your life. And then, you did nothing. You didn’t apply the new information in your life. We’ve all done it and or almost all of us, we’ve done it more than once.

You might ask yourself, “Why do humans do this?”.

Well, once again, the answer is simple. We didn’t follow through because it wasn’t a necessity..

All of us have been told over and over again that knowledge is power. That information is power. Well, let me tell you from experience, this is not entirely true, and in many ways, you might even call it a lie.

But it is because of this misconception that most people consider the need to obtain new information a necessity. While I would argue that this is true, we haven’t been conditioned to believe that acting on good information is also a necessity. So, once we have obtained the information, our necessity has been met.

Don’t get me wrong, knowledge can lead you down a path to power but it is not power itself. I have had the knowledge to build a website and market it in my brain for years that did not do a thing to give me any power. True power only exists in the flow of decisions and actions. Yes, in many ways knowledge can help inform your actions and decisions but it can never make those actions happen.

I want to make this clear. while I do believe in the power of positive thinking to help change your mind and the perception of your life, I do not believe that positive thinking alone will actually change anything. I do not believe that wishing to be thin alone will help you lose weight. I would agree that wishing or desiring is a critical first step. It may even be something you want to focus on every day during meditation. However, I do not believe that focus and meditation alone will bring results without action.

Action or more specifically, gigantically huge / massive action is what brings results. This kind of action is what brings about true transformation.

The key to taking action and true transformation begins simply with a few steps.

The first step to true transformation is to create a life goals list as part of a  powerful life vision. Without this, transformation probably won’t happen. Your life vision is going to be the foundation on which you base all of your actions everyday. Your vision will be your motivation for your transformation and I will help you build one.

To build your ultimate goals list or a powerful life vision, we must simply write down or imagine all of the things that we want in life. Go wild here, imagine that anything is possible. The next step is to gauge where we are in relation to our goals. To do this, we need to see things for what they really are. Not worse than they are or better than they are. Simply, the way they are. Most of us are going to have trouble with this at first. it’s natural for most people to look at things as being worse than they actually are. Whether we realize it or not, most people look at life through a very pessimistic lens.  This pessimism comes from a place of pure fear. This fear comes from many different places but it is only slightly different for each person. It can be connected to the fear of embarrassment, the fear of failure or even the fear of success but it is all fear none the less.  In order to overcome this fear, we must have courage. This courage doesn’t have to be so great at first. We just need enough of it to let go of the fear so that we can see things the way that they actually are and not worse than they are.

It is very important that you take this step because it will allow your perception of reality to actually be a  little closer to the truth. If you don’t look at things the way they are and instead you are being pessimistic, most of your goals in your life vision will be obsolete. The reason this occurs is because most of us already have many of the things that we wish we had and just don’t  realize it.  Most people wish that they had a better home, better car, better body or better mind. However, for most of us, if we quit being pessimistic, then we would see where we really are and be grateful for the things we already have or the things that we have already accomplished.    

Now that we can see clearly where we are and how we got here, let’s raise our standards.

Yes, some things are out of our control, but if we are looking at our life as it is, we will probably notice that most of the differences between what is and what could be is that we have settled or allowed there to be less than our desires. This is true 99% of the time.  So simply, raise your standards. This creates new necessities.

Step three. Making choices and taking action.

At this point, our courage will naturally have increased because we are less fearful. We see things clearly and realize that we are closer to our goals than we imagined.  This, extra courage combined with our new necessities, allows us to start making big decisions and taking huge action to achieve the goals in our vision. As you make decisions and take action, keep note of what works and what does not. Keep the things that work and discard those that don’t.

If you have done everything right, you will notice that these huge actions no longer take willpower. You just do them, because you have made them a necessity and this can help ensure success.

Now, lets recap. We now have an ultimate goals list and life vision. We have identified where we are in relationship to those goals. We have raised our standards to create new necessities and have begun making big decisions and taking massive action. We have been systematically keeping the actions that work and discarding those that don’t.

Now what?

Consistency.

If you follow the steps above consistently, you will have results. Period.

Take the time every month to add more dreams to your goals list and grow your vision. Keep making it more powerful. Keep taking more action, and consistently make your actions more productive.

That’s it.

That’s the secret.

Don’t wait for life to make your transformation a necessity.

Do it yourself.

Make your ultimate success and your ultimate goals a necessity.

Make your dreams a necessity and you will be transformed!
