I see the pain, the fear, the hurting,

The fear of getting hurt again;

I see the hope, the trust, a skittish mare,

a quiet word, touch soothes the trembling,

Joyous comfort, peace – the fullness of eternity before us…

You are burning through my mind,

a fevered madness consuming my sanity,

igniting passion that sears my soul

retorted thundering pain of loneliness

the devastation of loving alone

dragonscream of searing pain exploding from within

whiplashed explosion of love thundering: I need you now!

whimpered subsidence into the deadening ache of passion denied,

the lonely barren solitary darkness

The roaring tiger thunders from my chest,

maddened by the bands of conventionality

White-hot anger rage at torment of creativity shackled

Screaming hatred bursting forth

I will no longer be denied!

I strike you down!

Hatred seething boiling ‘rupts

shackles break, bars ashatterin’

Caged animal transformed hunter be

Blazing eyes pierce, fear and doubt screaming flee

Too late! too late! They’ll not reach the snowline of my doubt…

Yellowed eyes closing blazing doom

A thunderclap of destruction swoops low and fells by mighty blow

Panting calm of deeds now done and demons slain tonight

The cold alone, still, brooding, bleeding but alive – where are you love?

I turn alone, empty ache inside, where are you now?

Why so alone, I need you here!

Silence mocks

Fatigued muscles strain moving mountains, moving still for the beast is loose

Won’t be constrained,

Will find you love, will find you still,

Wherever your face may be

Then strains the mortal coil, bursts forth thundrous bellow

anger hate, too late – the coil not be denied – not tonight

pulled backward – cage the beast, deny its right

but eyes blazing roar defies,

I’ll break again another night…
