Then I sat here in the dark

THE THOUGHT OF ME AND YOU, TOGETHER, AS A COUPLE, IN LOVE

I should stop daydreaming so much,

I’m just going to keep letting myself down

THE FIREPLACE

If I were to hold you here,

and sing you our song,

Will you sing it with me?

THE BOUQUET

I bought you a bouquet,

just so I can tell you I love you and I actually mean it

THE MOVIE WE SAW

Do you remember that movie we saw?

Do you remember my arm around your shoulder?

Do you remember your sweet smiles?

Do you remember my lost eyes?

Lost in yours

Do you remember falling asleep in my car?

Do you remember the bed we shared?

Do you remember warm laughter late into the winter night?

Do you remember when I held your hand?

Do you remember the kiss?

THE QUEEN OF ANDROIDS (MY QUEEN OF EARTH)

I’ve built an army of robots to protect the world,

but it’s truly to protect you,

my Queen of Earth

I’ve damned myself,

and damned this planet,

all for you,

my Queen of Earth

And even if you don’t want it,

they’ll be there for you,

and only for you

They’re here to serve you,

the Queen of Androids

My Queen of Earth

THE SKINNY JEANS

I’m worried that I just want to fuck you

THE WALK

“Where are you going?”
I’m just looking for you

“How did you know where I was?”
I didn’t

I was just going to keep walking,

until I found you

THE SUGAR PLUMP

I want you

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again

I want you,

now more than ever

My sugar plump princess,

I want to give you the world

Just let me into yours

THE SLEEPOVER

I said, “I love you”

She said, “I love you too”

I asked, “Can I hold you?”
She said, “Yes”

THE GIFT OF LOVE

I love you

Does it hurt?

How does it feel?

THE EYES THAT WERE BLACK

But when I looked in her eyes,

I didn’t see what I saw in you

I don’t know

Maybe she just doesn’t have pretty eyes

THE KISS I FORGOT TO GIVE

Hey,

Happy birthday!

Get well soon,

Love you

THE WORD “ADDICT”

My favorite word is “addict”,

cause you’re an addict,

and I’m an addict

And when I say addict,

I mean us

THE THOUSAND SONGS THAT BELONGED TO US

Then I sat here in the dark,

listening to the thousand songs that belonged to us

These are our songs,

no one else’s

They wrote these songs for us

THE LEMONADE STAND

And as you drive by the kid in the lemonade stand,

you think about the sweetness of the lemonade

What you don’t think about is:

that child will be selling lemonade for the rest of his life

THE HOTEL FOR THE HURTING

Now I just want to go home

THE RAIN

I cry more than I should

I don’t know why I cry

They just told me it was okay to do so

THE LOST BOY

I am a lost boy

that means I’m lost

I am a lost boy

that means I’m lost

I am a lost boy

that means I’m lost
