BLIND MAGIC

Lost in a dream

When you saw me to my door and I went inside

Always a gentleman, even in this brisk weather

You walked away down the street

As I locked my door behind you, I realized you forgot something

I pulled that sweater with the scent of your cologne upon it around me

Oh, I should have reminded you to take it with you

But, you left it here with me

I guess we both were a bit caught up in the moment of this night, huh?

Our first date left us both a little frazzled

Neither of us thought the events of this night would truly dazzle

Yet, as I walked into my bedroom, the smell of your aroma got to me

English Leather?

Paco Rabanne?

Oh, damn, what is that scent that this sweater has on

Ah, yes, it’s Old Spice

Reminds me of that standby gift for Father’s Day in my youth

I pulled back the spread and sat on the edge of the bed

So many nice thoughts of you swirled through my head

Black thigh high boots unzipped and tossed in the corner

I rolled off that blue sweater of yours

Against my bed pillow it lays crumpled

Red silk blouse unbuttoned and flung over wingback chair carelessly

Black bra and panties are all that’s left on me

Out of the corner of my eye, sapphire attracts once again

Your sweater was so warm and comforting when you put it on me

And, it has a glow of calling to me now

My body stretches to retrieve it on my pillow

Scent of you thrills me to no end

For now, it’s my turn to begin

Begin the thoughts of having you here in my bed

With me, I wished you’d kissed me

Yet, all I have to remind me is this sweater

Blue sweater upon my body is warm again

Bra unhooked and finagled off beneath this wool

Soft breasts rub against the looped pattern

Aged fragrance is intoxicating as I smile

Fingers roll panties off and flick of toes lands them onto footstool

Tender points across my body have tingled tonight

I rest against the sheets and feel your arms comforting me

It’s funny that the date neither of us wanted to go on, would bring us together

Yet, magic comes when we least expect it

Planets aligned, as did the windy night

For if not for that breeze, this sweater of yours I would not need

The magic isn’t blind

It’s the magic that only the heart can see

Sweater aroused my soul and lust took hold

When you retrieve this garment of blue,

You can retrieve this heart of mine too

Blind never again to an opportunity at joy

Starting anew, is truly something out of the blue

Magic has found me….
