HAZELNUTS OF INSANITY
2016 AUGUST – SEPT POSTS
From the THREE SIMPLE QUESTIONS BLOG
By Jean W. Yeager
These essays or “slices” about runs the gamut of life during this time – from politics through the Autumnal Equinox. The only thing not here are the Dahlias and my granddaughter Pele and listening/singing Raffi for 3 days in a closed car (talk about insanity!).
I am the tide of your life. I am the powerful physical and metaphysical force by which you are carried. I am the tide of your life. I am the powerful physical and metaphysical force by which you are carried.
The Armor of Power is what Power Loves. They wear their virtues on the outside. In their hearts is the Love for their God. But, in the center of the house of Power, a Lover sat captive in a small room, waiting to be released. This Lover has been released by Death. She will become the Armor Of Love.
You, I, are Alice. And, you, I, meaning we, need to go to the White Queen’s Tea Party! “We are covering the Town Hall Tea Party for the 99%er News Network, “ignore the fact that I, as a Queen, am now certainly a 1%er. I wasn’t born a 1%er like King Donald or King Jeb. I, too, was a commoner until I married King Bill.” She smiled and reached for a piece of toast.
We’re within a day or two of the Autumnal Equinox (September 21) which starts the “trough” as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) calls it. Our bodies respond to reduced levels of light by reducing our immune systems’ performance – we can get sick.
From the Autumnal Equinox to the Winter Solstice we go through bright, inner times of meaning and celebration: All Hallow Eve / All Souls day, then Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Eid ul-Adha and then Christmas before turning back to the Light.
One of my favorite moves which has now gone down into family legend has been the move from Pennsylvania to Michigan, or as we call it, “The Fichus Move.” Pardon me while I take a narrative side-road to explain the technical term “tight” for you lay-people, but I assure you it’s integral for your understanding of the Fichus Move story.
CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE: The presenter asked us to share: did we know anyone who took their own life? What were our thoughts about our own death? CONTEMPLATING EULOGIES -
When someone dies, we may be asked to say a “few words.” The “few words” of a genuine eulogy are elastic. They stretch between us the living and the dead. Perhaps it is the magical power of words which live between the living and the dead, a spiritual power.
If you light a fire, who chops the wood. If you are picking a guitar, who becomes the music. Your character, your soul, wishes to feed you the sacred food, the inspiration, and contradictions about who you are. Are you able to eat grief?
Aged Love seems to love what was once there, or beholds what was once there in what is now here.

These essays or “slices” of life run the gamut of life during this time in 2016 – from politics through the Autumnal Equinox. The only thing NOT here are the Dahlias which published their own blog post (I did use the Calla Lilies on the cover) and my granddaughter Pele and listening/singing Raffi for 3 days in a closed car (talk about insanity!). There is contemplation of suicide by a group of old folk, The White Queen (Hillary), The Armor of Love and Power, and, of course Hazelnuts. And of course, the answer to the question, "who chops the wood when you swing the ax?"
