Carls Locke was one of the lucky few to land a stable job amidst such turbulent economic times. With the old government and global infrastructure collapsing, Carls was at first in disbelief to the rumors of a place defying all depression. But fate has other things in mind as he happens across an individual offering him and his family a stay at the Paradise Suits inside the Great Mall of Entrepreneurship. He himself is desperate to find hope in light of the stresses of his work. Never had he imagined it would lead him to question his entire grasp upon the reality he once thought real. Man's greatest attraction, an escape from the pains and sufferings of the world, often breeds even darker things as once demons take form and purpose from the farthest shadows of the mind. In a blink of an eye, everything he had once seen, felt, tasted, and heard had changed--and he is thrown into another perspective, wishing so much to live in one reality while forced to endure another. Can he keep his daughter safe from the creatures that haunt them? Can he protect her from the monsters she can and cannot see? Will he have the strength to except death of those even closest to him? Will he have the strength to refute death himself? Carls Locke may not be a man of prophecy, but he is not a tumbleweed to be trifled with. Should he find a hope worth fighting for, he would gladly stand to the death against the hordes of illusionate and Fallen Ones. Trapped in a state where illusions dwell strong enough to transform the flesh, Carls must challenge everything he once knew. Wielding strange gates of magic and tools of myths unknown, he must hold out long enough to gain a better grasp on what happened to the once "grand" mall, what IS happening, and what will--all while trying to keep his daughter safe. God only knows if he has the strength and will to combat the manics and possessioners of the fallen reality.
