A Memorial to Her – Mark 14:9

And with Special Thanks to

There is little story in the cover image of this ebook. Long ago before the United States existed, the land where this photo was taken, was an untouched wilderness much like the picture you see. But in the 1960’s when the Interstate highway of Washington state was being built, the area of this photo was excavcated for the gravel that was used to build the highway. After that project was completed this area was planted be become a park. It has since been allowed to grow back into the wilderness area it once was. This is a fitting introduction to the subject of this ebook. The practice of animal sacrifice in biblical times has vanished much like the area of land in the picture turned to gravel. No trace of it today is left in the churchianity of this world, except in the pages of history. But Bible prophecy is clear that what is now history will again be restored as a living practice for the human race. Chapters One and Two will cover some bible prophecy from my ebook “Walking in Eden – A New End Time Scenario” which will lead up to the first restoration of this Altar. Then as prophecy continues this Altar will be destroyed in the time of the Antichrist. But later, when Jesus Christ rules the earth in the time of His millenial rule, this Altar of Sacrifice will be restored.

Chapter One

Days of Perplexity – The Gravel Pit

“Because it is a day of trouble and of treading down, and of perplexity by Adonai YHWH of Hosts in the Valley of Vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains. And Elam [Arab] lifted up the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield. And it will come to pass, that your choicest valleys will be full of chariots, and the horsemen will set themselves in array at the gate.” Isaiah 22:5-7 (UTV)

As I write we are certainly beginning to live within the “day of perplexity” and trouble. The Middle East is exploding with terrorism and people are fleeing from their homelands in fear of their very lives. These times of terrorism have been predicted in the Bible.

“There is Elam [Arab] and all her multitude around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword that are gone down uncircumcised into the lowest parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living. Yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit. They have set her a bed among the slain with all her multitude: her graves are around him. All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, still have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit, he is put among them that are slain. There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are around him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living. And they will not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war. And they have laid their swords under their heads, but their depravities will be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. Yes, you will be broken among the uncircumcised, and will lie with them that are slain with the sword.” Ezekiel 32:24-28 (UTV)

There is a point in time that YHWH Elohim will intervene in world affairs to end the carnage.

“Therefore will the fierce people glorify you, the city of the terror-striking nations will fear you.” Isaiah 25:3 (UTV)

These days of perplexity are also associated with the time the watchmen of prophecy make their entrance. These are very good clues of just where we are at on the prophetic timeline.

“Woe is me! because I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape-gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: I desired the first ripened fruit. The faithful are perished out of the land: and there is none upright among mankind: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt everyone his brother with a net. That they may do bad with both hands earnestly, the ruler asks, and the judge asks for a bribe; and the distinguished, he utters his mischievous desire: so they weave together. The best of them are as a brier: the most upright are sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of your watchmen and your visitation comes; now will be their perplexity.” Micah 7:1-4 (UTV)

The above verses also speak of a time when there is great corruption in the world and we have other verses addressing our current business world we live in and how the poor are treated.

“YHWH will enter into Judgment with the Elders of his people, and the chiefs, because you have ruined the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your homes. What, to you? You bruise my people, and the faces of the poor you grind.” Isaiah 3:14,15 (UTV)

[_ _]

“Come now you wealthy ones, weep and howl at the calamity that will come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is covered with rust and the corrosion of them will be a witness against you, and will eat your flesh as it were fire. You have stored up treasure for the Last Days. Look, the reward of the workmen, of those who in-gathered your fields, that have been fraudulently kept back by you, do cry out, and the exclamations of those who did reap have entered the ears of the LORD of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and have lived a voluptuous life; you have fattened your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and killed the righteous, and he does not resist you. Be patient therefore brethren, unto the coming of the LORD. Behold, the Vine Dresser awaits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and latter rain. Be also patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the LORD approaches.” James 5:1-8 (UTV)

These days of perplexity are a beginning of the End Times period and we should now review the verses pertaining to these times in which we live. These verses are all taken from The Holy Bible – Urim Thummim Version.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice will be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is he that waits, and comes to 1,335 days. I Pet 1:5 Who are guarded by the power of Elohim through Faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the End-Time.

II Pet 3:3 Knowing this first, that there will come in the Last Days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Heb 1:2 has in these Last Days spoken to us by his Son, who HE has appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE fashioned the Ages;

Enoch 27:2,3 …Here shall they be gathered together, and here shall be their place of judgment. In the last days there shall be upon them the spectacle of righteous judgment in the presence of the righteous for the ages: here shall the merciful bless the Lord of Glory, the Aionian King.

Enoch 108:1,2 Another book which Enoch wrote for his son Methuselah and for those who will come after him, and keep the law in the last days. You who have done good shall wait for those days till an end is made of those who work evil; and an end of the might of the transgressors.

The Writing of Truth

It is vital to our understanding of prophecy that we have the correct understanding of “The Writing of Truth” as recorded in Daniel 11:5 to 12:4. Almost all prophetic interpreters regard this as history yet they are dead wrong. The Bible tells us it was written concerning the Last Days.

“Now I am come to make you understand what will befall your people in the Last Days: because yet the vision is for many days.” Daniel 10:14 (UTV)

What must reappear then is Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece, in the generation before the Kingdom of Elohim reigns on earth.

Daniel 11:6 to 11:19 – only one king of the north discussed [prophecy starts with four kings of Persia followed by a mighty king of Greece (fifth king). This one king of the north becomes king number six of this prophecy called “The Writing of Truth”. This sixth king is followed by another (king of the north). He rules a short time Dan. 11:20 (seventh king).]

Daniel 11:21 – Eighth king called the “vile person” still mentioned as a “king of the north” is the one who places the Abomination of Desolation in the Sacred Place of the Jerusalem Temple (Dan. 11:31).

Daniel 11:44 – Proclaims himself as Elohim.

Daniel 11:45 – Establishes his government in Jerusalem.

Daniel 12:01 – Time of great tribulation opposes Michael the archangel.

Daniel 12:02 – Meets his end at the return of Christ and the resurrection of the dead.

To summarize,

Daniel 11:6 to 12:4 – Three kings of the north only (four kings of Persia at start of prophecy and one king of Greece being the fifth king). Then the three kings of the north remaining give us a grand total of eight kings that are over the “north sectors” of the prophecy.

Daniel 11:05 – One king of the south who gives his kingdom over to a young man called “the branch” (Dan. 11:7)

Daniel 11:08 – Reigns more years than king of the north. This branch is the second king of the south and lives past the reign of the next king of the north (Dan. 11:20)

Daniel 11:27 – negotiates with final king of the north (the vile person)

Grand Clue found in Book of Revelation

Chapter seventeen of Revelation shows that “The Writing of Truth” from Daniel 11:2 to 12:4 addresses the End Times. The sixth king of chapter seventeen and the sixth king of “The Writing of Truth” (the one king of the north in Dan. 11:6-19) are the same.

“and there are seven kings, the five did fall, and the one is [sixth], the other [seventh] did not yet come, and when he may come, it requires him to remain a little time; and the beast that was, and is not, he also is eighth, and out of the seven he is, and to destruction he does go away.” Revelation 17:10,11 (UTV)

Both “The Writing of Truth” and Revelation chapter seventeen address the same eight kings.

Note – The End Time starts with the reign of the sixth king. The apostle John in Revelation focuses on this particular king.

Chapter Two

Annihilation Decreed – More Prophecy

The time of the restoration of the Altar of Sacrifice will be during or shortly after this period of End Time prophecy.

“… O progeny of vipers, who has forewarned you to flee from the Anger to come?” Matthew 3:7 (UTV)

John the Baptist wrote the above stated verse and it is very significant that he was the one to write it. This is because he was the son of Zacharius, the last official priest of the course of Abia, mentioned in Luke 1:5. If this is so then why do we find John preaching in the wilderness, rather than being High Priest in the Temple at Jerusalem? He was the rightful heir for the position of High Priest, but now we find others occupying his rightful position of authority. This study will illuminate the fact that from this point on in history the Levitical Priesthood was now occupied by those unauthorized to do so, whether by other Levites wrongfully assuming positions they were not to assume, or by Jews, whose tribe has nothing to do with priesthood (see Heb.7:14). The official family of priests which had comprised the Levitical Priesthood from its beginning, had finally been driven from power and a different priesthood NOW assumed a Jewish character, being controlled by the Sadducees, Scribes and Pharisees that now sat in Moses’ seat. These facts have not been looked at properly, for the changes that took place ended up as the final “gift of the Jews”, which we have inherited from these ancestors today. I must note here before I continue that this study is not a condemnation of Jewish people and many have considered my teachings to be Jewish-Christian in orientation as opposed to the blatant paganism of traditional Christianity. The focal point of distinction is namely this, God denoted the Jews to be entrusted with the oracles of God; they were NOT to be the interpreters of that oracle. The interpretation of the oracles was the sole responsibility of the Levitical priesthood, which in the time of John the Baptist was now under the wing of Jewish control.

“Then of what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? Great in every respect. First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.” Romans 3:1,2 (NAS)

There had been a gradual corrupting of the original priesthood family until its function had completely been replaced and religious power was in Jewish control (tribe of Judah as opposed to the tribe of Levi).

“The Pharisees at an early day secured the popular favor, and thereby acquired considerable political influence. In the time of Christ they were the religious power in Palestine, though the priesthood belonged to the sect of the Sadducees. They took a prominent part in the death of Jesus.” Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary (pp.508)

“Herod filled the ranks of the priesthood with his own creatures, and these naturally joined themselves to the Sadducees. During the Herodian dynasty, they possessed much political power, and much of the internal government of the country was committed to the Sanhedrin, in which they were very strong.” Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary (pp.576)

“When the NT records open, the Pharisees, who have supreme influence among the people, are also strong, though not predominate, in the Sanhedrin. The Herodians and Sadducees, the one by their influence with Roman authorities, and the other by their inherited skill in political intrigue, held the reins of government.” The International Standard Encyclopaedia (vol.IV, pp.2362)

This of course was a complete change from the way the government of Israel had been up until the time of David. Let’s first establish the changes in the definition of the word “Jew” that took place.

“Jew (a man from Judah). This name was properly applied to a member of the kingdom of Judah after the separation of the ten tribes. The term first makes its appearance just before the captivity of the ten tribes (II Kings 16:6). After the return the word received a larger application. Partly from the predominance of the members of the old kingdom of Judah among those who returned to Palestine, partly from the identification of Judah with the religious ideas and hopes of the people, all the members of the new state were called Jews (Judeans), and the name was extended to the remnants of the race scattered throughout the nations.” Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary (pp.316)

Coming back to Romans 3:1 we can now better understand that the people to whom the oracles of God would be entrusted were the remnants of people primarily from the one tribe of Judah. This was the tribe in which the Davidic sceptre was given in Jacob’s last blessing.

“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.” Genesis 49:10 (KJV)

The order of government was that the tribe of Judah would be the Kingly tribe, and the tribe of Levi would be the Priestly tribe.

“And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts…For the priests lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts” Malachi 2:4,7 (KJV)

This proper order was in vogue in the time of King David, the Jews received the proper interpretations of the oracles of God from the priesthood, in which Zadok was High Priest. But later on in history we find the Kingly tribe taking over the duties of the Priestly tribe, something that was never given to them to do. They were entrusted with keeping the oracles of God but they WERE NOT ENTRUSTED WITH INTERPRETING THEM.

“In the scenes of the last tragedy of Jewish history the order passes away without honor. The high priesthood is given to the lowest and vilest of the adherents of the frenzied Zealots. Other priests deserted to the enemy.” Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary (pp.531)

This was the state of affairs in the time of Christ. The Jews had taken over the interpretation of the Torah and writings of God, something that had never been given to them to do. The priesthood now had acquired a predominately Jewish character. It was precisely this change that evoked the greatest of condemnations in the Gospels by Christ Himself. He was ruler over the authorized Levitical priesthood, but His high priest, John the Baptist, was not in his rightful position in the Temple, and the priesthood was now under the illegal control of the Jews. Communication from God to man came FIRST to the Priest (who was the messenger), who then delivered that message to the Jewish King. This order was never to have been changed; the Jews were only given the oracles of God to preserve throughout history, which has been done to this day.

“Divine ‘oracles’ were given by means of the breastplate of the high priest, in connection with the service of the tabernacle and the Sept. uses the assoc. word logeion in Ex.28:15 to describe the breastplate.” Vines Expository Dictionary

Here we see that any “Oral Tradition” would have also resided squarely with the Levites and not the Jews. God never authorized the oral traditions of the Jews; rather Christ himself repeatedly condemned such things.

“Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.” Matthew 23:27,28 (KJV) [read ALL of this chapter]

Everything that is of a Jewish interpretation of the Torah and writings of God that we have today has its origins in the teachings of these original Jewish Pharisees.

“In the Mish we have the evidence to the later labors when the Sanhedrin was removed from Jabneh, ultimately to Tiberias in Galilee. There under the guidance of Jehuda ha-Kadhosh (‘the Holy’) the Mish was reduced to writing. It may be said that Judaism became Pharisaism, and the history of the Jews became that of the Pharisees.” The International Bible Encyclopaedia (pp.2362)

This is why for those of us living today in the end time, God is going to bring about a complete destruction of Jewish teachings starting in Jerusalem, and in Galilee, which had their birthplace with these original Pharisees. That will be the commencement, as Jesus Christ will destroy the illegal and false interpretations of the Torah and their writings that the Jews have given us.

“Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. The Lord will CUT OFF the man that does this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacle of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 2:11,12 (KJV)

In plain language it is the Rabbis and Scholar that teaches and interprets the Torah, in the Jewish fashion, that God is going to KILL. I did not write this, I am only reporting it to anyone who will listen and take seriously this warning! As long as Judaism resides in Jerusalem we ARE NOT to pray for its peace (see Jer.11:14).

“But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.” Luke 7:30 (KJV)

John the Baptist was the legitimate High Priest, and the “counsel of God” was to reside with the Levitical Priesthood.

“And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the HOUSE OF GOD, and asked COUNSEL OF GOD, and said, Which of us shall go up first to battle against the children of Benjamin? And the Lord said, Judah shall go up first.” Judges 20:18 (KJV)

Jesus Christ outlined the violence done to His priesthood and laid all the blame at the door of Jerusalem.

“That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon all the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel, unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar…Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killeth the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” Matthew 23:35,37 (KJV)

The outcome of what Jesus Christ is going to do and the key to understanding this is found in the Valley of Vision and the prophecy of Eliakim. The story begins with a pronouncement of what God will do to Shebna and he represents the Jewish Priesthood of today. I am using the term “Jewish Priesthood” to collectively mean any teaching having its roots in the Pharisees, scribes and Sadducees.

“He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be THE SHAME OF THY LORD’S HOUSE.” Isaiah 22:18 (KJV)

The Jewish Priesthood will come to a bitter and violent end, but note next what God then begins to do.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call MY SERVANT Eliakim son of Hilkiah: And I will cloth him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut and none shall open.” Isaiah 22:20-22 (KJV)

This Eliakim will be none other than Elijah the prophet in the last days. The Jewish Priesthood is destroyed and Jesus Christ then installs a descendant of Zadok to initiate a Renewed Levitical Priesthood, but not under the terms of the Old Covenant but instead operating under the administration of the Melchizedek Priesthood. That priesthood can include anyone of any race, but it can also accommodate the specific Covenant given to the tribe of Levi. The robe and girdle that is given to Eliakim represent the garments of the High Priest and look now what Jeremiah has to say about this.

“Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.” Jeremiah 13:4 (KJV)

We then find in verse seven, God directing Jeremiah to dig up the girdle after many days. This girdle represents the priesthood that has fallen into the Jewish hands of Shebna! Much time and history transpires with this girdle in Jewish control and at the end of days when it is finally dug up it is found to be “good for nothing”.

“Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the PRIDE OF JUDAH and the great PRIDE OF JERUSALEM. This evil people, which REFUSE to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their evil heart, and walk after OTHER GODS, to serve them, and to worship them, SHALL EVEN BE AS THIS GIRDLE, WHICH IS GOOD FOR NOTHING.” Jeremiah 13:9,10 (KJV)

[_ _]

“Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, AND THE PRIESTS, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness. And I will dash them one against the other, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the Lord: I will not pity nor spare, nor have mercy, BUT WILL DESTROY THEM.” Jeremiah 13:13,14 (KJV)

God will violently destroy the “Jewish Priesthood” of today, along with all that cling to it,

“Because though your people Israel are as the sand of the sea, still a remnant of them will return: the annihilation decreed will overflow with righteousness. Because Adonai YHWH of Hosts will ordain an annihilation, even decreed for the center of all the land.” Isaiah 10:22,23 (UTV)

The above verse is much like the one in Joel 2:1-3 where on the one hand destruction is present and on the other Edenic conditions prevail. So it is that Jerusalem will be under judgment but on “the other side of Zion” the protection of the LORDS chosen reside.

“For look, YHWH, YHWH of Hosts, does remove from Jerusalem and from Judah the staff and the support, the whole staff of bread and the whole staff of water, The mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviners and the Elder, the captain of 50 and the honorable man, and the counselor and the skillful technician, and the eloquent orator. And I will give children to be their rulers, and vexation will rule over them. Then the people will be oppressed, everyone by another and everyone by his neighbor: the child will behave himself proudly against the Elder, and the base against the honorable. When one lays hold on his brother, of the house of his dad by the garment saying, come, a ruler you are to us, and these ruins are under your hand. In that day will he adjure saying, I will not be a governor; because in my house is neither food nor clothing so do not make me a ruler of the people. Because Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their practices are against YHWH, to provoke the eyes of his glory.” Isaiah 3:1-8 (UTV)

[_ _]

“And it will come to pass that those that are left in Zion, and they that remain in Jerusalem, will be called Sacred, even everyone that is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. When Adonai will have washed away the excrement from the daughters of Zion, and will have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its center, by the Spirit of Judgment and by the Spirit of Burning.” Isaiah 4:3,4 (UTV)

This then is the annihilation decreed for the center of the land as recorded in Isa. 10:22,23.

Chapter Three

Restoring the Altar of Sacrifice

The Prince of the Covenant

In the book of Daniel we are given insight about the covenant that will exist in the End Time.

“And with the arms of a flood will they be swept away from before him, and will be broken; yes, also the prince of the covenant. And after they join themselves unto him, he will work deceitfully: because he will come up, and will become strong with a small people.” Daniel 11:22,23 (UTV)

[_ _]

We are told that this covenant (that will be in effect during the End Times) is further defined as “a Holy Covenant”. This is none other than the “covernant of life and peace” mentioned in the book of Malachi, which is also the same “covenant of peace” recorded in the book of Numbers.

“Because the ships of Chittim will come against him: therefore he will be grieved and return, and have indignation against the Holy Covenant: so will he do; he will even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the Holy Covenant. And arms will stand on his part, and they will desecrate the Sacred Place of Refuge, and will take away the daily sacrifice, and they will ascribe the abomination that makes desolate. And such as do wickedly against the Covenant will he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their Elohim will be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:30-32 (UTV)

In addition to this “Holy Covenant” we find there is also a “daily sacrifice” existing in these times also.

“Yes, he magnified himself even to the Captain of the Army, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the Established Place of his Sanctuary was cast down. And an army was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it produced and prospered. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said to that certain saint that spoke, how long will be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the Sanctuary and the army to be trampled underfoot?” Daniel 8:11-13 (UTV)

Restoring the Altar of Sacrifice

“For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: [Urim Thummim] Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.” Hosea 3:4,5 (KJV)

Our Holy Bible predicted that through the ages of time after the ancient nation of Israel had been destroyed and its people dispersed, that they would abide many days “without a sacrifice”. This is one historical fact that does not need much verification, as animal sacrifices are a thing of the past. Modern Churchianity has taught us for centuries that these sacrifices have been done away and replaced with the symbolic sacrifice of Christ. These animal sacrifices have been seen by most as a type or foreshadow of the literal sacrifice of Christ that took place at His crucifixion. But now that the crucifixion and resurrection has taken place, the Mosaic system has been superseded with the New Covenant.

“But now has he obtained a more excellent service, by how much also he is the mediator of a better Covenant, which was enacted upon better promises. Because if that first Covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he declares, Behold, the days come says the LORD, when I will make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah:” Hebrews 8:6-8 (UTV)

What has taken place is that many of the features of the Old Covenant system have been replaced with new features, but that many of the features remain the same, because they do not conflict, and are universal aspects of teaching in the plan of God. The use of sacrifices is one of the continuing features to be restored in the latter days after its period of absence. It is also an important point to note that sacrifices were NOT an invention of the Mosaic system, but were something incorporated into the Mosaic system from pre-Mosaic times. In fact, sacrifices were one of the most central teachings of God from the very beginning of time. Notice in the introduction of the original translation in The Book of Enoch by R.H. Charles how sacrifices were a part of life from the earliest times in history.

“Again, whereas the Essenes objected to animal sacrifice, no such objection is taken in either 1 or 2 Enoch. In the former in 89.50 the temple sacrifices are referred to with complete approval in the words ‘and they offered a full table before Him’. In 89.73 the sacrifices are said to be ‘polluted’, but no condemnation of sacrifice in itself is here implied. The writer uses no stronger words than Malachi 1:7, ‘Ye offer polluted bread upon Mine Altar.’ In 2 Enoch 59.2-3 the spiritual value of animal sacrifice is clearly expressed” The Book of Enoch, page civ

Among the other early sacrifices we have that of Abel (Genesis 4:4), Noah (Genesis 8:20), Abraham (Genesis 12:7), Job (Job 1:5), Isaac (Genesis 26:25) and Jacob in Genesis 46:1. So what we have prior to the institution of the Mosaic system is actually a whole history of sacrifice since the inception of human history. It would be absurd to think that just because of its inclusion into the Mosaic system that this central teaching of God is now eliminated. When we read in Hebrews, chapters eight and nine about the nullification of the Old Covenant for the New we later read in Hebrews, chapter ten that the sacrifices carry forth into the New Covenant as a remembrance or memorial of the literal sacrifice of Christ.

“But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.” Hebrew 10:3 (KJV)

The answer to this whole question becomes clear in the very next verse, which tells us that animal sacrifices do not take away sins.

“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” Hebrews 10:4 (KJV)

As we continue to read on from verse four we find the Scriptures making it very clear that Christ fulfilled the foreshadowing that the sacrifices signified, but again we are reminded in verse 32 to remember the former days.

“But call to remembrance the former days, in which after you were illuminated, you endured a great conflict of sufferings;” Hebrews 10:32 (UTV)

This is further explained in the latter days when we are told to “remember the law of Moses with the statues and judgments.

“Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.” Malachi 4:4 (KJV)

[_ _]

We even have the Scriptures telling us in the plainest of language that the New Covenant involves the “blood of sprinkling” and contrasts it to the pre-Mosaic sacrifice of Abel.

“And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrew 12:24 (KJV)

Then in Hebrew 13:10 the statement is made “WE HAVE AN ALTAR” but our altar is unlike the old altar of former times. Our new altar, instead of looking forward to Christ points us back to the time Christ became the sacrifice for the human race. The new sacrifices in the latter days and beyond is a memorial of that great event, and will be taught humanity as a history lesson no one will forget. In the book of Isaiah we find reference to a future time in the Kingdom of God on earth when “flocks shall minister unto thee” on a future altar of God.

“All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.” Isaiah 60:7 (KJV)

These are not imaginary sheep or rams, and neither is this an imaginary altar. The problem with people today is that the Scriptures are not read clearly, and we have many of the features of the New Covenant replaced with the imaginations of man. So instead of remembering the former days, the New Covenant of Churchianity proposes we forget it. In doing so humanity has lost the impact and teaching of the central sacrifice of Jesus Christ. But this is not the case for in the coming Kingdom of God on earth, animal sacrifices will be made under the terms of the New Covenant and will become a real sacrifice of praise for what God has accomplished in his Son Jesus Christ.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, the fruit of the lips confessing his name. But of doing good and communicating of your substance be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Hebrew 13:15,16 (DBY)

This verse shows us that the “sacrifice of praise” is accomplished through real acts (not just symbolical thinking), and it is with “such sacrifices” that God is “well pleased”. This is what the Scriptures themselves tell us rather than the man devised interpretation that the animal sacrifices are done away and replaced with praising. Note that in I Peter 2:5 these are spiritual sacrifices NOT spiritual symbolism. The sacrifices are symbolic but are expressed in real terms.

“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” I Peter 2:5 (KJV)

The mindset generally taught today however is that there is no memorial of the sacrifices, but that they are eliminated and that their expression is only to be “spiritually conceived” now that Christ has accomplished His sacrifice once and for all for mankind. The fact that these animal sacrifices are conducted as a remembrance and memorial is completely ignored. The true teaching of how these new sacrifices under the terms of the New Covenant are accomplished can be illustrated in the pre-Mosaic sacrifice of Abraham concerning his son Isaac. In Genesis 22:9 we find Abraham preparing to offer up his son Isaac, but then in verse twelve he was told not to sacrifice his son, a ram instead was to be offered as sacrifice (verse 13). Many have realized of course that when this was done Isaac had been symbolically sacrificed and he now represented the living Jesus Christ. This of course is also what transpires on earth when Christ reigns. The sacrifices will be made as a memorial with the living Christ abiding on the earth. The teaching points to the death and resurrection of our Savior.

In the Millennial temple of Ezekiel as illustrated in Appendix 88 of E.W Bullinger’s Companion Bible, we find that the Sanctuary’s central feature is the Altar of Sacrifice. In other words it is the very center of attention and takes first priority. By contrast today however amongst most theologians, it takes no priority at all. Historically our Roman form of Churchianity divorces itself from its own Israelite and Jewish past and in doing so creates a New Covenant that God never devised. The Scriptures concerning the elimination of the Mosaic system is then interpreted in a way that does away with the remembrance that is central to the plan of God. This lawless form of theology was never sanctioned by God who informs us that the law is “perfect” for conversion of the soul.

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. [law: or, doctrine] [converting: or, restoring] The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. [true: Heb. truth]” Psalms 19:7-9 (KJV)

And then in a prophecy for the future we are told that people in the latter days will return to the things of the past. These are clearly NEW features of the New Covenant incorporating the history of the past and applying its teaching in the Light of the Gospel of Christ. This true Gospel does not divorce itself from the past, but uses history as a proper vehicle for the teaching of the people in the latter days and beyond.

“When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; [are…: Heb. have found thee] (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, either destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?” Deuteronomy 4:30-33 (KJV)

The fulfillment of the law of Moses (Luke 24:44) does not mean God does not use the things of the past to teach His newly applied laws that will now be written on human hearts. When we compare Psalms 116:17 with 118:27 we find that the sacrifices are real and literal and will cause people to praise and have thanksgiving. People living in a physical world need these real demonstrations to teach them, and also cause them never to forget the past. God tells us to bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. He does not tell us to bind the sacrifice with praise. Praise comes as a result of the sacrifices and the meanings they portray to people.

“I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.” Psalms 116:17 (KJV)

“God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.” Psalms 118:27 (KJV)

In Ezekiel’s millennial sanctuary, the altar is taken care of by the priests and Levites which will have the charge under Christ (not Moses) of the earthly temple, in administering the New Covenant and its terms on the earth.

“And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him. So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar that was before the house.” Ezekiel 40:46,47 (KJV) [see also Eze.42:13]

It also should be noted that it was to be the role of the priests to perform these duties “unto the age”. Our opening verse in Hosea 3:4,5 indicate that the Israelites would go a long time “without a sacrifice” but that this time would end and that the priests would then resume their duties.

[_ “Sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron is separated for his sanctifying the holy of holies, he and his sons -- unto the age, to make perfume before Jehovah, to serve Him, and to bless in His name -- unto the age.” 1 Chronicles 23:13 (YLT) _]

In conclusion, we must note that the doing away of the Mosaic system as taught today is not wrong per se, but is a teaching not telling us the whole Truth. For its system is truly replaced by the New Covenant and that the priesthood with its sacrifices is transferred and the Levitical priesthood is maintained under the priesthood of Mechizedek, of which Christ is the head. The Bible tells us that the former sacrifices were not pleasing to God, but that He is more concerned with the attitude of heart, THEN shall the sacrifices be pleasing unto Him.

“For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. [else…: or, that I should] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.” Psalms 51:16-19 (KJV)

Its also worth noting that in Daniel 12:11 we have indication that the sacrifices which have been absent for centuries are resumed but that they are stopped for a period of time when the Antichrist has his reign. Then we find during the time of the Kingdom of God on earth God’s altar standing again.

“In that day there will be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS TO YHWH; and the pots in YHWH’s Temple will be like the basin before the Altar.” Zechariah 14:20 (UTV)

The Priesthood Covenant of Levi and the Daily Sacrifice will both be in evidence in the End Times as part of the Restoration that the LORD will spearhead prior to His Second Coming. The book of Malachi says that the future Elijah will be pointing people back to the things of the past. We are about to enter a new biblical era before the Apocalypse can occur!

Update Note

“Yes, he magnified himself even to the Captain of the Army, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the Established Place of his Sanctuary was cast down.” Daniel 8:11 (UTV)

This verse shows by carefull reading that this “daily sacrifice” is not located at the Temple in Jerusalem as that Sanctuary is not “cast down”. See my book Walking in Eden – A New END TIME Scenario for an understanding of the “Beulah” principle.
