THE 80/20 RULE

“What will happen if I don’t follow my diet sincerely?” This is one of the most prominent questions which come in our mind. Now look you may alter or switch to non-paleo foods for some time. It has to be in ration 80/20. It means you will get benefits of Paleo Diet if you end up following your diet 80% of the time. You will achieve maximum benefit. You can go back to your old lifestyle 20% of the time. Even I end up eating non paleo foods but up to a limit. You can enjoy life but keep in mind that the ratio remains intact.

THE CHANGE; THE TRANSITION

Just follow these 3 steps and it will be fine

1. CHANGE This is where you strike out the preservatives laden junk found in stores for the best available grocery store options. Instead of buying pepsi, for example, you’ll now be buying coconut or badam milk. Instead of eating KFCs chicken, you’ll now be buying fruits. You get the idea. The main focus of this stage is to remove unnecessary substances from your body which includes refines sugar, preservatives etc. You will move to stage 2 only when this stage is completed.

2. KICK OUT In this step we dig a bit further. We kick out all the dairy stuff, grains etc from our diet plan.

3. RECOVER YOUR TASTE BUDS The final step is to go beyond the strictest definition of Paleo and start introducing nutritional foods into your diet like apples and organ meats. Again, the book has several awesome recipes to make this transition possible easily.

BREAKFAST RECEIPES

TASTY HOME MADE GRANOLA

Ingredients

1. 2 or 1cups almond flour

2. 2^1/2^ tsp cinnamon

3. 3 tsp vanilla extract

4. 1 or ½ cup walnuts

5. 2/3 cup coconut oil

6. ½ cup coconut flakes

7. 1/2 cup hemp hearts

8. Sea salt

9. 3 tsp nutmeg

10. 5 servings

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Mic all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix them well. Remember to heat coconut oil before adding it. Apply the mixture on a flat layer of baking sheet. Remember baking sheet should be greased.

3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until mixture is toasted perfectly. Mix every 8 minutes or so to ensure that it gets baked evenly.

4. Remove from oven and allow it to cool before serving, Move it into a plastic container for eating later on.

Awesome Breakfast Burrito

Ingredients

1. 4 to 5 eggs, whites and yolks separated properly

2. 1 to 2 tomatoes, finely chopped

3. 1/2 cup cooked meat (try sliced steak, ground beef, or shredded chicken)

4. 1/2 onion, finely chopped

5. 1 red pepper, cut into strips

6. hot sauce or salsa on the side

7. 1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro

8. 1/2 cup canned diced green chiles

9. 1 avocado, cut into wedges or small chunks

Instructions

1. Whisk the egg whites properly

2. Take a 10 to 15 inch skillet which is properly oiled. Allow it to warm. Pour half of the egg whites in the pan. Move the mixture around sp it spreads evenly. After 20 to 30 seconds cover the pan and allow it to cook for 60 to 70 seconds. Use a spatula (I recommend a rubber one) and slide the egg white onto a plate.

3. Do this whole procedure again for the remaining egg whites

4. Use the same pan again, sauté onions with the oil mentioned above for 60 seconds then add red pepper, tomato, meat & cilantro. Pour everything in the pan and mix well.

5. Add avocado at the end, and then put half of filling onto each egg white. Roll the egg whites up into so called burritos and serve with sauces like salsa or hot sauce.

6. Enjoy the delicious recipe.

Paleo Apricot Power Bars

INGREDIENTS

1. Cup dried apricots

2. 1/2 teaspoon celtic sea salt

3. 2 to 3 eggs

4. 2 tablespoon vanilla extract

5. 3/4 cup chocolate chips

6. Cups pecans

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix apricots and pecans in a food processor. Mix until you get a coarse gravel texture.

2. Add all vanilla, eggs and salt properly in the mixture and churn.

3. Remove mixture from food processor and decorate it with chocolate chips.

4. Place the mixture in a baking dish which is properly greased.

5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 345°

6. Allow it to cool and then serve,

Awesome Chestnut Flour Crepes

Ingredients

1. 2 to 2 cups chestnut flour (200g)

2. 1 cup water

3. 1 egg

4. 2 tablespoon pasture-raised butter or coconut oil, plus more for pan

5. 1 to 1cup milk. You may also use coconut milk.

Instructions

1. Pour water, egg and milk in a blender.

2. Add approximately 200 to 210 grams of chestnut flour into the blender.

3. Make a depression in chestnut flour and add butter or oil. Butter should be melted. That goes without saying.

4. Churn the mixture for a few more seconds.

5. Heat a properly oiled skillet over high heat.

6. Pour ¼ to 1/3 cup batter into pan and move the batter around the bottom of the skillet. Allow it to cook until the underside is golden.

7. Enjoy!!

Paleo Flourless pumpkin Pancake

Ingredients

1. 2 eggs

2. Coconut oil

3. Maple Syrup

4. 1/2 cup pumpkin puree. I prefer homemade

5. 1 tsp. cinnamon

6. Honey

7. Butter

8. Fruit Butter

Instructions

1. Warm a cast iron pan at a medium heat.

2. Mix together the cinnamon, eggs and pumpkin puree

3. Add two tablespoon of coconut oil to the medium hot pan and mix to cover the bottom of the pan properly.

4. 2 tablespoon of batter per pancake.

5. You must cook until the whole thing gives a golden look.

6. Flip it. It may be brown on the other side. It will make about 6-8 pancakes.

7. Enjoy!!

PALEO BLUEBERRY MUFFIN RECIPE

Ingredients

1. 1 Tablespoon vanilla

2. 2 eggs

3. 3 to 4 Tablespoons cinnamon

4. 1/2 or 1 teaspoon baking soda

5. 2 1/2 to 3 cups almond flour

6. 1 to 1 cup fresh blueberries

7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

8. 1/4 cup maple syrup

9. 1/4 cup coconut oil

10. 2 Tablespoon coconut flour

11. 1/4 cup coconut milk

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 345 degree. Line a 12 count muffin tin and greased properly with coconut oil..

2. In a bowl mix coconut flour, baking soda, salt and almond flour. Mix thoroughly.

3. Add coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, eggs and coconut oil. Mix them thoroughly.

4. Add cinnamon and add blueberries too.

5. Divide them proportionately into muffin tin. Sprinkle additional cinnamon from top.

6. Bake for 20-27 minutes.

7. Allow Blueberry Muffins to cool. Enjoy!!

Paleo Banana Mocha Shake

Ingredients

1. Frozen banana. They should be sliced

2. 2 tablespoon coconut butter

3. 1/2 to 3/4 cup ice cubes

4. 2 tablespoon honey

5. A pinch of Vanilla Extract

6. 1/2 to 3/4 cup coffee

7. 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

8. 2 tablespoon honey

Instructions

1. Pour all the ingredients into a blender. Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth texture.

2. 1 Serving

3. Enjoy

Creamy Paleo Maple-Nut Porridge w/ Banana

Ingredients

1. 3 teaspoons maple syrup. I prefer real one.

2. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

3. 2 tablespoons coconut butter

4. 1 small ripe banana

5. 1 teaspoon sea salt

6. ½ or 1 small cup soaked pecans.

7. ¾ to 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

1. Add all the ingredients into a blender. Mix thoroughly until you get thin mixture

2. Pour the mixture obtained in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat. Do this until you get a creamy and thick mixture.

3. Serve. Servings for two

Paleo Cassava With Bacon Hash

Ingredients

1. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2. 1 medium or large cassava root; It can be manioc or yuca

3. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt

4. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon rubbed sage

5. 4 to 5 strips of nitrate bacon which is properly diced

6. 2 small onion which are properly chopped..

Instructions

1. Peel the cassava with a peeler (which is obvious) and chop it into small 1cm pieces.

2. Place the chopped cassava into a pan filled with cold water. Allow it to cook. Strain and set it aside.

3. Cook the chopped bacon till the bacon gets fine and crispy. Move the bacon out of pan.

4. Cook chopped onions in the bacon fat till onion gets soft. It will happen in 4 to 5 minutes.

5. Add the half cooked cassava, 1/3 teaspoon rubbed sage, 3/4 tablespoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a cooking pan.

6. Allow it to cook. Sauté it. Cook it until you get a brown look outside. This will happen in approximately 8 to 12 minutes.

7. Remove from Heat and Enjoy!!

PALEO SMOKED SALMON SCRAMBLED EGGS

INGREDIENTS

1. Black pepper. I prefer ground one

2. 4 to 5 chives, minced

3. 4 to 6 eggs

4. 1 avocado

5. Lard

6. Bacon grease

7. 3 Tablespoon water

8. 5 Oz Smoked Salmon finely chopped

9. 4 tsp coconut oil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat the skillet over medium or high heat. You must add coconut oil to it when it gets warm.

2. Crack the eggs in a bowl. You must then add water to it. Scramble it up then.

3. Add the eggs to the skillet. Make sure skillet is hot. Add smoked salmon and continuously stir along. You must cook till the eggs become fluffy and soft.

4. Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle black pepper, avocado and chives.

5. Servings for two.

6. Enjoy!!

PALEO EGGS WITH AVOCADO AND SALSA!! SIMPLY AWESOME

INGREDIENTS

1. 5 eggs

2. 5 Tablespoon salsa

3. 3/4 avocado properly sliced

4. 3/4 sliced almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat the skillet over medium or high heat.

2. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add them to the skillet.

3. Cook for 60 seconds. And then lower down the flame. Heat the whole thing for 3 to 5 minutes more.

4. Add almonds, Salsa & avocado

5. 2 servings

PALEO BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

INSTRUCTIONS

1. 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

2. 2 to 3 cups frozen berries

3. 1 to 1 cup almond milk

4. 1-2 eggs

INGREDIENTS

1. Fill a blender or processor with the frozen berries and add hot water to it quickly. This is done to break them up.

2. Add eggs, coconut(shredded) and almond milk

3. Blend it continuously until you get a smooth texture.

4. Servings for 2

PALEO LUNCH RECIPES

Sweet Potato with Chicken

Ingredients

1. 3 tablespoon coconut oil

2. 1 to 2 onion

3. Diced or Chopped 2 to 3 cups chicken breast

4. 1 Cup thyme leaves

5. Shredded 2 to 2 cups sweet potato puree

6. 2 teaspoon cumin (ground)

7. Juice of 1 to 2 lemon

8. Salt and Black pepper

9. Diced or chopped 5 red peppers

Instructions

1. Add oil in pan. Allow it to get warm. Then add onions to it. Sauté properly till the onions give golden look.

2. Add pepper to the onions at low or medium heat. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes.

3. Add chicken to the pan. Add all the remaining ingredients and allow it to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Serve the dish. Add sweet potato to it.

Paleo Calamari Salad

Ingredients

1. 220g trimmed or chopped. The calamari rings must be uncooked

2. 1 teaspoon kosher salt

3. 1/2 cup chopped cilantro leaves

4. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper(Fresh)

5. 1 to 2 teaspoon chili juice of 2 small lemon

6. 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves

7. 2 to 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. It is good

8. ½ to 3/4 cup finely chopped parsley leaves

9. 4 medium or large garlic cloves

Instructions

1. Calamari must not be frozen. It is important.

2. Add olive oil in a saucepan and add calamari rings in the pan.

3. Allow it to cook. Stir properly. You must do this until no water remains in them.

4. There must be no water left and the look of it should be slightly golden.

5. Turn them regularly and fry them properly. They must look even on both sides.

6. Add pepper, minced garlic, lemon juice and salt

7. I repeat, the calamari must be properly cooled now.

8. While the calamari is cooling chop mint, parsley and cilantro

9. Add fresh herbs to the cooked calamari and mix them thoroughly.

10. Serve & Enjoy!!

Beef with Tomatoes and Wine…

Ingredients

1. 100ml red wine

2. 4 tablespoons tomato paste

3. 1 teaspoon cumin powder

4. Salt

5. 500g beef which is properly Cut into cubes

6. 6 tablespoons coconut oil

7. 2 to 3 onions, chopped

8. 5 to 6 garlic cloves properly chopped

9. 4 to 5 tomatoes cut in half 4 properly

Instructions

1. Add oil to a pan. Then add meat to it.

2. You must cook the meat until it gets light brown.

3. Cook at low or medium heat for about 8 to 12 minutes.

4. You must stir continuously. Then lower down the heat and add garlic cloves and onions to it.

5. Cook for another 100 to 120 seconds. You must be ready. As soon as the onion gets soft add cumin powder, tomatoes & salt.

6. Cook for another 100 to 120 seconds

7. Then you must add tomato paste and stir again.
