General Preface

The reader should take time to understand and meditate the Quranic Ayaat, and if possible, my advice is to get the copy of Quran in any preferable language of your choice and learn. If you find anything not clear it doesn’t mean that Quran is wrong but it’s because our knowledge is not enough to understand the book and we need the teacher and from my opinion the best teacher is The book “Quran” itself (As an Ayat on the same subject from one chapter may be clarified by another Ayat from another chapter) and Hadiths or Traditions of Prophet Muhammed (which gives more light on the understanding of Quran) from volumes by Sahih Muslim and Sahih Al-Bukhariy known as Sahihayn (Sahih means genuine or authentic or sound and in Arabic Sahihayn means double authentic referring to the volumes written by these two scholars, the authentic volumes of Al-bukhariy and Muslim) and all these are now available online which requires only internet and search engine such as Google. If you find any error in this small eBook then it’s from me and not Quran and I ask forgiveness from the creator. We should also remember that human beings are not exempted from errors and this is one of the human weaknesses as only the creator “Allah” is perfect.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Master of the Day of Judgment.

It is you we worship, and upon you we call for help.

Guide us to the straight path.

The path of those you have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger,

Nor of those who are misguided

My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]

And ease for me my task

And untie the knot from my tongue

That they may understand my speech.

Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so].

O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern

For anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.

I ask my Lord Allah to accept my prayers to Prophet Muhammad.

I also ask him to assist me to accomplish this small humble task.

As always we are required to start all our activities with a prayer praising Allah;

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Ayat Number 82 Chapter An-Nisa (The Women)

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.

French Translation

Ne méditent-ils donc pas sur le Coran? S’il provenait d’un autre qu’Allah, ils y trouveraient certes maintes contradictions!

Ayat Number 53 Chapter Fussilat (Explained in Detail)

We will show them our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness

French Translation

Nous leur montrerons Nos signes dans l’univers et en eux-mêmes, jusqu’à ce qu’il leur devienne évident que c’est cela (le Coran), la Vérité. Ne suffit-il pas que ton Seigneur soit témoin de toute-chose?

This e Book introduces Islamic and Modern Scientists Predictions on The Future of The World. Solutions and Islamic Viewpoint on Signs on End of Times (Hour)

I am indebted to blessed researchers whom I have learned and collected the results of their work and I thought it better to preserve them in my present e Book in order to benefit the present and future generations.

The reader is welcome to send me any comments at smash words or word press blog.

I have used throughout this booklet the name of God as Allah (As Allah has no gender or number as you can do with the word God), the word Ayat instead of (Plural Ayaat) as Ayat (means signs) has deeper meaning than the word verse.

I have also used the initials PBUH (peace be upon him) after the title “prophet” or name “Mohamed” or both “Prophet Mohammed” as requested all of us to do whenever one of these are / is mentioned.

Scientists Predictions

All good things must come to an end and, sooner or later, so must humanity’s stint on Earth.

Scientists predicted a massive asteroid would slam into Earth some time last week obliterating us all.

But there are so many other ways in which the human race could be wiped out any day now.

From catastrophic climate change to black holes and robot wars, here are 10 apocalyptic visions that could end the world as we know it.

Global warming

If the ice in Earth’s polar caps melts it will cause the oceans to rise as much as 300 feet, which would be catastrophic to human civilization.

More than 75 per cent of the world’s population lives below this altitude, including London and most other major cities.

Meanwhile, with water evaporating faster, trapping in more heat and driving temperatures still higher, experts warn that Earth could end up like Venus, where the high on a typical day is 900 degrees Fahrenheit.

A hotter planet could also unleash the spread of infectious diseases, the acids of the oceans, and an increase in droughts and famines, as well as floods and land erosion.

A global temperature rise of just six per cent will be enough to wipe out just about every life form on the planet. Scientists at the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) recently gave a five per cent chance that the Earth’s temperature will exceed 6.4 per cent by 2100.

Gamma ray burst

Gamma-ray bursts are flashes of gamma-ray light, probably caused by the merging of two collapsed stars, and are the most powerful explosions of energy in the universe-as much as ten quadrillion times as energetic as the sun.

So far, the bursts-which are detected from earth about once a day – have happened in distant galaxies millions of light-years away. If such an event were to happen closer to home, the intense flash of gamma rays illuminating the earth for ten seconds would cook the atmosphere and destroy the ozone layer, causing a massive extinction event.

Astronomers point out double stars are almost completely undetectable and we would have no advance warning until the moment it hits us.

Throughout history many deadly pathogens have emerged which have wreaked havoc on the human race.

The Black Plague killed one in every four Europeans in the 14th century, while in just two years from 1918 Spanish flu took at least 50 million lives.

Recent possible pandemics, including SARS bird flu, and MERS, a corona-virus which originated in Saudi Arabia, have eventually died down, but experts say it is only a matter of time before one goes global.

If nature wasn’t enough to worry about, scientists have been accused of engineering mutant versions of diseases which, if they escaped from the lab, could threaten the future of humanity.

Last year, after researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison created a life-threatening virus that closely resembled the 1918 Spanish flu, many disease experts were appalled.

Simon Wain-Hobson, a virologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, said: “It’s madness, folly. If society, the intelligent layperson, understood what was going on, they would say, ‘What the F are you doing?’”.

Robot ascension

The Terminator may be science fiction, but robotic killing machines capable of thinking and acting on their own are not far from becoming a reality.

The United Nations recently called for a ban on killer robots-presumably because experts feared that several countries were developing them.

Inventor Elon Musk, co-founder of Paypal, said last year that artificial intelligence might be the “greatest existential threat” that humans face.

And Stephen Hawking recently said: “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.”

Black hole

Our galaxy is full of black holes, formed when giant stars collapse in on themselves, and whose gravity is so strong they swallow everything, even the light that may betray their presence.

In July this year scientists from Durham University discovered five previously unidentified “supermassive” black holes, billions of times the size of our sun, increasing fears one could come closer to earth than previously anticipated.

George Lansbury, from the university’s Centre for Extragalactic Astronomy, said: “Although we have only detected five, when we extrapolate across the whole universe then the predicted numbers are huge.”

Such a black hole wouldn’t need to actually swallow us up. One passing nearby could eject Earth from the solar system and send us hurtling into deep space.

Global war

Many scientists are still worried about the classic end-of-the-world threat: global nuclear war.

There are massive stockpiles of nuclear weapons around the globe which could trigger a catastrophe if they fell into the wrong hands.

Currently, nine countries are known to have nuclear capabilities, including Russia, Pakistan and North Korea, which between them possess around 16,300 nuclear weapons.

In 2008, the Physics Today journal concluded that the detonation of 100 nuclear bombs-a fraction of the number out there-would bring about a “nuclear winter” causing temperatures to drop to the lowest in 1,000 years, and “likely eliminate the majority of the human population.”

Biological weapons are perhaps an even greater threat to our existence, as they are easier to develop. If anthrax, for example, were released into the air it could cause fatalities in 90 per cent of the population exposed to it.

Magnetic reversal

Every few hundred thousand years the planet’s magnetic field dwindles to almost nothing, then over a century gradually reappears with the north and south poles flipped.

We know that there have been about 170 magnetic pole reversals during the last 100 million years, and the last major reversal was 781,000 years ago-meaning that the next one is well overdue.

New research published last year from the European Space Agency (ESA) shows that the Earth’s magnetic field is weakening 10 times faster than we previously thought, and that it might flip within the next 100 years.

Why might such an event threaten our survival? The magnetic field deflects particle storms and cosmic rays from the sun, as well as even more energetic particles from deep space.

Scientist claims that without this magnetic protection, these particles would strike Earth’s atmosphere, eroding the ozone layer with a number of disastrous consequences to life as we know it.

Super volcano

Volcanoes have form when it comes to making entire species extinct. The Perm o-Triassic Extinction – the biggest extinction event of all time, when 95 per cent of all Earth’s species were wiped out 252 million years ago – coincided with the largest known volcano eruption in Earth history, in today’s Siberia.

Many believe the next Earth-changing eruption is long overdue, and point to the super volcano in American’s Yellowstone National Park as the most likely to destroy us.

The Yellowstone volcano erupts with a near-clockwork cycle of every 600,000 years-and that last eruption was more than 640,000 years ago. Scientists have discovered that the ground in Yellowstone is 74cm higher than it was in 1923, indicating a massive swelling underneath the park.

Experts predict that when it blows its top again the consequences for the world will be catastrophic. Within minutes of the explosion tens of thousands would be dead and the long-term effects would be even more devastating. The sun would be blocked by ash, temperatures would plummet by 21 degrees, rain would turn to acid, and most if not all of the world’s humans would be wiped out.

Alien invasion

There is every chance that, somewhere in billions of galaxies, intelligent beings much more superior to ourselves do exist. So if aliens did finally arrive at planet Earth in large numbers, what can we most likely expect?

Stephen Hawking, who this year helped launch a major new effort to search for alien life in the cosmos, thinks it more likely that such creatures would come to Earth in search of resources and bent on our destruction. He said: “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans.”

Other cosmologists go further, supposing that extraterrestrial invaders might plunder a vital natural resource, such as the water from our oceans, bring with them pests with a taste for human flesh or upset our planet or solar system causing Earth’s destruction.

Asteroid impact

An asteroid big enough to wipe out civilization on Earth, experts agree, would need to be at least a mile across-and that kind of impact only happens once every million years or less.

It is believed the dinosaurs were wiped out by a six-mile-wide asteroid which slammed into Earth 66 million years ago.

In a paper by Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute, researchers explained the greatest danger will be “clouds of dust projected into the upper atmosphere” creating an ‘impact winter’, affecting climate, and food supplies, and create political instability.

And Bruce Willis can’t come to the rescue either – physicists claim it would be impossible to nuke an Earth-destroying-sized asteroid hurtling towards us. From

“The end of the world has been put back by at least 50 years by a team of British scientists.A doom-laden US study in 1972 predicted that the earth would run out of food and resources, becoming uninhabitable by around 2050.Now scientists at Anglia Ruskin University’s Global Sustainability Institute have claimed we have a little more grace – until the end of this century, or the year 2100

To come to their conclusion, the team updated the 1970s computer model used to predict how finite the Earth’s resources are.

The researchers four decades ago failed to take into account a number of factors that mean we are safe for a few years yet.

They include the industrial sector creating less pollution and using less energy than expected based on trends in the 1970s. Industry is also doing more to clean up pollution than the earlier forecasts assumed.

They did not foresee a huge rise in the service sector and telecommunications – making the world’s economy more productive.

And innovations in agriculture have allowed more food to be grown on the world’s land.

Aled Jones, co-author of the study in journal Sustainability, said: ‘They made a good attempt in the 1970s but it might have been too pessimistic.

The limit is pushed back to the second half of this century.’

He added: ‘Many questions remain on exactly when planetary limits will be reached and what the consequences will be.

‘When you run the newly-calibrated World3 model forward in time, society still collapses this century based on reasonable guesses of these limits, although there is of course great uncertainty around exactly what these limits are.

‘Growth cannot continue indefinitely if it is based on material consumption, and not grounded in our understanding that the planet has limited land availability and resources.

‘Society has started to address some of the problems outlined in 1972, but we need to learn lessons from what we have already achieved and focus our efforts on avoiding these limits”

A brief Biography on Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is the former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge and author of A brief History of time which was an international bestseller. Now the Dennis Stanton Avery and Sally Tsui Wong-Avery Director of Research at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and Founder of the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at Cambridge, his other books for the general reader include A Brief History of Time, the essay collection Black Holes and Baby Universe and The Universe in a Nutshell.

In 1963, Hawking contracted motor neurone disease and was given two years to live. Yet he went on to Cambridge to become a brilliant researcher and Professorial Fellow at Gonville and Caius College. From 1979 to 2009 he held the post of Lucasian Professor at Cambridge, the chair held by Isaac Newton in 1663. Professor Hawking has over a dozen honorary degrees and was awarded the CBE in 1982. He is a fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of Science. Stephen Hawking is regarded as one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists since Einstein.

For the first time, Stephen Hawking turns his gaze inward for a revealing look at his own life and intellectual evolution.

My Brief History recounts Stephen Hawking’s improbable journey, from his post-war London boyhood to his years of international acclaim and celebrity. Illustrated with rarely seen photographs, this concise, witty and candid account introduces readers to the inquisitive schoolboy whose classmates nicknamed him ‘Einstein’; the jokester who once placed a bet with a colleague over the existence of a black hole; and the young husband and father striving to gain a foothold in the world of academia.

Writing with humility and humor, Hawking opens up about the challenges that confronted him following his diagnosis of ALS aged twenty-one. Tracing his development as a thinker, he explains how the prospect of an early death urged him onward through numerous intellectual breakthroughs, and talks about the genesis of his masterpiece A Brief History of Time – one of the iconic books of the twentieth century.

Scientists Solutions

Physicist Stephen Hawking has warned humanity that we probably only have about 1,000 years left on Earth, and the only thing that could save us from certain extinction is setting up colonies elsewhere in the Solar System.

“[W]e must … continue to go into space for the future of humanity,” Hawking said in a lecture at the University of Cambridge “I don’t think we will survive another 1,000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet.”

The fate of humanity appears to have been weighing heavily on Hawking of late – he’s also cautioned that artificial intelligence (AI) will be “either the best, or the worst, thing ever to happen to humanity”.

Given that humans are prone to making the same mistakes over and over again – even though we’re obsessed with our own history and should know better – Hawking suspects that “powerful autonomous weapons” could have serious consequences for humanity.

As Heather Saul from The Independent reports, Hawking has estimated that self-sustaining human colonies on Mars are not going to be a viable option for another 100 years or so, which means we need to be “very careful” in the coming decades.

Without even taking into account the potentially devastating effects of climate change, global pandemics brought on by antibiotic resistance, and nuclear capabilities of warring nations, we could soon be sparring with the kinds of enemies we’re not even close to knowing how to deal with.

Late last year, Hawking added his name to a coalition of more than 20,000 researchers and experts, including Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, and Noam Chomsky, calling for a ban on anyone developing autonomous weapons that can fire on targets without human intervention.

As the founders of OpenAI, Musk’s new research initiative dedicated to the ethics of artificial intelligence, said last year, our robots are perfectly submissive now, but what happens when we remove one too many restrictions?

What happens when you make them so perfect, they’re just like humans, but better, just like we’ve always wanted?

“AI systems today have impressive but narrow capabilities,” the founders said.

“It seems that we’ll keep whittling away at their constraints, and in the extreme case they will reach human performance on virtually every intellectual task. It’s hard to fathom how much human-level AI could benefit society, and it’s equally hard to imagine how much it could damage society if built or used incorrectly.”

And that’s not even the half of it.

Imagine we’re dealing with unruly robots that are so much smarter and so much stronger than us, and suddenly, we get the announcement – aliens have picked up on the signals we’ve been blasting out into the Universe and made contract.

Great news, right? Well, think about it for a minute. In the coming decades, Earth and humanity isn’t going to look so crash-hot.

We’ll be struggling to mitigate the effects of climate change, which means we’ll be running out of land to grow crops, our coasts will be disappearing, and anything edible in the sea is probably being cooked by the rapidly rising temperatures.

If the aliens are aggressive, they’ll see a weakened enemy with a habitable planet that’s ripe for the taking. And even if they’re non-aggressive, we humans certainly are, so we’ll probably try to get a share of what they’ve got, and oops: alien wars.

As Hawking says in his new online film, Stephen Hawking’s Favourite Places, “I am more convinced than ever that we are not alone,” but if the aliens are finding us, “they will be vastly more powerful and may not see us as any more valuable than we see bacteria”.

Clearly, we need a back-up plan, which is why Hawking’s 1,000-year deadline to destruction comes with a caveat – we might be able to survive our mistakes if we have somewhere else in the Solar System to jettison ourselves to.

That all might sound pretty dire, but Hawking says we still have a whole lot to feel optimistic about, describing 2016 as a “glorious time to be alive and doing research into theoretical physics”.

While John Oliver might disagree that there’s anything good about 2016 at all, Hawking says we need to “Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet.”

“Try to make sense of what you see, wonder about what makes the Universe exist. Be curious,” he told students at the Cambridge lecture. “However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.”

Stephen Hawking has a simple message for humanity: Haul your butt to Mars (and beyond). In a speech delivered this week at the Oxford Union, the legendary scientist says humanity can only survive another thousand years or so on Earth thanks to growing threats that include climate change, nuclear war, and artificial intelligence, CNN reports.

“I think the human race has no future if it doesn’t go to space,” the Daily Express quotes Hawking as saying. According to the Christian Science Monitor, Hawking says it’s a “near certainty” that disaster will strike the human race within a thousand years if it stays on Earth, which he calls “fragile.” There are some challenges on Earth, such as the depletion of its natural resources, humanity won’t be able to overcome, he argues. Fortunately, the rate of space exploration is speeding up again, with private companies like Boeing and SpaceX picking up the slack from NASA and other government agencies. NASA is continuing its search for “goldilocks” planets, and Elon Musk recently outlined his plan for colonizing Mars. Hawking himself sounded optimistic, the Independent reports. “Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet,” he said Monday

Islamic signs before the Hour

Allah Says in the glorious Quran:

Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does any one know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: Nor does any one know in what land he is to die. Verily with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).(Quran Chapter 31:34)

Five things Only Allah Knows

Allah alone knows when the End of times and Day of Judgment

Allah alone knows and decides the exact formation of clouds in some areas and not others and weather conditions (ie. no one can predict)

Only Allah knows what is the nature of what’s in the womb of a mother such as all the future psychological, physiological, etc of the creature.

No soul knows what you will earn tomorrow

No soul knows in what land it will die

Traditions (Hadiths) of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) from Volumes of Sahih AlBukhariy on the End of Times or Hour.

Book: The afflictions and the end of the world

Narrated Abdullah: Allah’s Apostle said to us, “You will see after me, selfishness (on the part of other people) and other matters that you will disapprove of.” They asked, “What do you order us to do, O Allah’s Apostle? (under such circumstances)?” He said, “Pay their rights to them (to the rulers) and ask your right from Allah.”

Narrated Usaid bin Hudair: A man came to the Prophet and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! You appointed such-and-such person and you did not appoint me?” The Prophet said, “After me you will see rulers not giving you your right (but you should give them their right) and be patient till you meet me.”

Narrated Usama bin Zaid: Once the Prophet stood over one of the high buildings of Medina and then said (to the people), “Do you see what I see?” They said, “No.” He said, “I see afflictions falling among your houses as rain drops fall.”

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people) afflictions will appear and there will be much ‘Al-Harj.” They said, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is “Al-Harj?” He said, “Killing! Killing!”

Narrated ‘Abdullah and Abu Musa: The Prophet said, “Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which Religious ignorance will spread, knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing.”

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, “Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing.”

Narrated ‘Abdullah: The Prophet said, “Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be the days of Al-Harj, and the religious knowledge will be taken away (vanish i.e. by the death of Religious scholars) and general ignorance will spread.” Abu Musa said, “Al-Harj, in the Ethiopian language, means killing,” Ibn Mas’ud added: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying; (It will be) from among the most wicked people who will be living at the time when the Hour will be established.”

Narrated Az-Zubair bin ‘Adi: We went to Anas bin Malik and complained about the wrong we were suffering at the hand of Al-Hajjaj. Anas bin Malik said, “Be patient till you meet your Lord, for no time will come upon you but the time following it will be worse than it. I heard that from the Prophet.”

Narrated Abu Bakra: Allah’s Apostle addressed the people saying, “Don’t you know what is the day today?” They replied, “Allah and His Apostle know better.” We thought that he might give that day another name. The Prophet said, “Isn’t it the day of An-Nahr?” We replied, “Yes. O Allah’s Apostle.” He then said, “What town is this? Isn’t it the forbidden (Sacred) Town (Mecca)?” We replied, “Yes, O Allah’s Apostle.” He then said, “Your blood, your properties, your honors and your skins (i.e., bodies) are as sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours in this town of yours. (Listen) Haven’t I conveyed Allah’s message to you?” We replied, “Yes” He said, “O Allah! Be witness (for it). So it is incumbent upon those who are present to convey it (this message of mine) to those who are absent because the informed one might comprehend what I have said better than the present audience who will convey it to him.)” The narrator added: In fact, it was like that. The Prophet added, “Beware! Do not renegade as disbelievers after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another.”

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet said, “Beware! Do not renegade as (disbelievers) after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another.”

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “There will be afflictions (in the near future) during which a sitting person will be better than a standing one, and the standing one will be better than the walking one, and the walking one will be better than the running one, and whoever will expose himself to these afflictions, they will destroy him. So whoever can find a place of protection or refuge from them, should take shelter in it.”

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri: Allah’s Apostle said, “There will come a time when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take to the tops of mountains and the places of rainfall so as to flee with his religion from the afflictions.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established (1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine, (2) till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's Apostle, (3) till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars) (4) earthquakes will increase in number (5) time will pass quickly, (6) afflictions will appear, (7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase, (8) till wealth will be in abundance ---- so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it, (9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings, (10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place (11) and till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.' (6.158) And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it."

Narrated Zainab bint Jahsh: That one day Allah’s Apostle entered upon her in a state of fear and said, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah! Woe to the Arabs from the Great evil that has approached (them). Today a hole has been opened in the dam of Gog and Magog like this.” The Prophet made a circle with his index finger and thumb. Zainab bint Jahsh added: I said, “O Alllah’s Apostle! Shall we be destroyed though there will be righteous people among us?” The Prophet said, “Yes, if the (number) of evil (persons) increased.”

From afore-mentioned Quran and Hadiths “Traditions of Prophet Mohammed

we will analyze the Islamic Eschatology or End of Times in detail:

When a ship is sinking and you cannot prevent it from sinking, you have to get off that ship, and urge others as well to do so. The ship of the world is now sinking! The evidence is all around us as plainly visible as daylight! But those who are blind cannot see that the ship is sinking. The blind then lead the blind until all are lost and will be drowned like the people of Noah (peace be upon him).

Prophet Muhammad prophesied many more signs of the Last Day. Most of these are known as the ‘minor’ signs. Let us describe some of them (randomly selected) before we turn to the ten ‘major’ signs in which we venture to include the major underwater Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami that occurred on 2004.

Minor Signs
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) prophesied of the Last Age that:

“People would follow a way of life other than mine, and give guidance other than mine”…“I fear for my people only the leaders who lead men astray”…“Before the Last Hour there will be great liars, so beware of them”…“When the most wicked member of a tribe becomes its ruler, and the most worthless member of a community becomes its leader, and a man is respected through fear of the evil he may do, and leadership is given to people who are unworthy of it, expect the Last Hour”. All of these warnings have already been dramatically and ominously fulfilled. This sign of the Last Day has come to pass, yet there are so many who do not, or cannot see, and they blindly rush as dumb cattle to endorse or to follow leaders for personal gain, or fear, or due to sheer ignorance; “Women would arrange their hair to look like the hump of a camel”, and this sign has already occurred, we see it everyday;

Homosexuality (and lesbianism) would become commonplace.
Children born outside of marriage would become commonplace, in fact marriage itself now seems destined to become obsolete;
Fornication and adultery would become commonplace, that, also, appears to have already been fulfilled in a modern world in which virginity and marital fidelity are becoming old-fashioned;
Disproportion in balance of men and women to such an extent that “one man would have to maintain (not marry) many women.
Universal consumption of alcoholic beverages. the unborn baby drinks when his mother drinks and suffers unimaginably for such.

“Religious knowledge would disappear”

“Time would move swiftly—a year passing like a month—a month like a week—a week like a day” etc., and already the perception of swiftly moving time is a universal experience;

Such prevalence of random killing, murder and violence that “a killer would not know why he is killing and the one who is killed would not know why he is being killed”, and “every age is followed by one which would be worse”—already around the world senseless random killing has arrived and is constantly escalating;

“Nothing would remain of Islam but the name, and nothing would remain of the Qur’an but the traces (of its writing) (i.e., the Qur’an would not be studied, no one would follow its guidance, it would be recited mechanically etc.);

Universal consumption of Riba (i.e, money lent on interest, and transactions which ‘rip off’ people through deception in business, etc.) will prevail.

“Naked barefooted shepherds would vie with one another in the construction of high-rise buildings”. This is already being fulfilled when wealth is wasted in grandiose and expensive public relations construction projects commissioned by people who hanker for visible symbols of status in a modern world which recognizes the rich as a ‘somebody’ and the poor as a ‘nobody’ (see story of the rich man and the poor man in Surah al-Kahf of the Qur’an).

Major Signs

Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour (the Day of Judgement) will not come till the remembrance of “Allah, Allah”, is not uttered in this world. (Muslim)

Hadrat Hudhayfa bin Asid al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden (one day) while we were busy in a discussion. He asked: What are you discussing about? They (the Companions) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon, he said: It will not come until you see ten signs beforehand and (in this connection) he mentioned the Smoke (ad-Dukhan); the Beast; Dajjal (Anti-Christ); the rising of the sun from the west; the descent of Nabi ‘Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary, peace be upon them); (the appearance of) Ya’juj and Ma’juj (God and Magog); and land-slides in three places, one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arabian Peninsula; at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen and would drive people to their place of assembly. (Muslim)

Here are some of the major Signs of the Last Day as prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him):

The coming of Dajjal — The false Messiah or Anti-Christ,
The coming Gog and Magog,
The beast of the earth or land,
The sun would rise from the west,
Three sinking of the earth
one in the east
One in the west
and One in Arabia,
A fire would come out of Yemen and would drive people to their place of assembly (for judgement),
The son of Mary would descend.

And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.(Quran 43:61)

Gog and Magog

And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return (Quran 21:95)

Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend (Quran 21:96)
Only Allah knows who are Gog and Magog.

But Stephen Hawking on his latest speech he mentioned on Creatures from other planets may attach our blue planet. I ask the reader to contemplate this prediction. Perhaps it’s a hint on Gog and Magog and End of Times but again no one knows the Date of the hour except Allah alone. We should not worry as only Allah knows but we should prepare ourselves by turning ourselves to the source; Our creator “Allah” and follow the Quran.

Dukhan (Smoke)
This appears to be totality of environmental pollution (not just smog and haze) that is already wreaking havoc on the earth itself and is bringing about global warming with the consequent impact of earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding etc. The modern industrial economy appears to be the greatest culprit of

Environmental pollution in the world today. Does the “smoke” refers to Carbon Dioxide? I leave this to the reader to contemplate. Only Allah knows the best Answer but we just try and Guess.

Dabbatul Ardh (The beast of the land or earth)
Does The “Beasts” refers to some of the Leaders of the world (Kings and Presidents) such as Hitler etc. dinosaurs or future beasts who will come? Only Allah Knows.

The sun would rise from the west
The order of nature would be reversed. Allah says in His Glorious book Quran:

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, “Be,” and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.(Quran 6:73)

Nothing is impossible if Allah wants to change his creation as he is capable of doing it.

Three Sinking of The Earth
We are concerned with three major ‘sinkings of the earth’ that would occur at a specific moment in history,

The Earthquake in The East
Perhaps its the recent massive earthquake and resultant Tsunami in South East Asia which has claimed many more than 100,000 lives, is the earthquake of the East mentioned by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) in the ten major Signs of the Last Day.

The prophecy of the blessed Prophet is that the earth sinks down or caves in. A ‘Tsunami’ is defined as a sea wave of local or distant origin that results from large-scale seafloor displacements associated with large earthquakes, major submarine slides, or exploding volcanic islands. When this recent displacement of the earth occurred under the sea, and consequently resulted in the massive Tsunami. The magnitude of the event, i.e., the severity of the earthquake (9 on the Richter scale) and, more importantly, the massive damage already done and still unfolding, makes it absolutely unique for mankind today. Allah knows best for this interpretation if its correct. The location of the event it occurred in that East which is clearly east of Madinah. This momentous Sign in the East that occurred at the end of December 2004 appears, therefore, to be a sign to mankind warning that dangerous change in the world will soon take place.

It appears to be the first of the three major earthquakes, or ‘sinkings of the earth’, as prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him), which would herald the return of the true Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah Most High. If we are correct, and Allah Knows best, then the world has to await only two more such major events.

The Second Earthquake in The West
When a second massive earthquake (with a sinking down, caving in, or displacement of the earth) eventually occurs in the west, after the recent one in the east, that would further confirm the analysis presented in this essay. All that would then remain to occur for Jesus to descend from the clouds would be the third earthquake in Arabia

The Third Earthquaqe in Arabia
Narrated Aisha: Allah’s Apostle said, “An army would invade the Ka’aba and when the invaders reach Al-Baida’, all the ground would sink and swallow the whole army.” I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! How would they sink into the ground while amongst them would be their markets (the people who worked in business and not invaders) and the people not belonging to them?” The Prophet replied, “All of those people would sink but they would be resurrected and judged according to their intentions.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

It is quite clear from the above prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) that the third earthquake would take place at the time of the advent of Imam al-Mahdi.

The Return of The True Messiah, Jesus, The Son of Mary
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) has spoken extensively and in minute details about the event of the return of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him).

Islamic solutions

The relationship between human beings and the earth is increasingly complicated and urgent. Every day there are stories about pollution, global warming and animal species facing extinction. Religion is responding with views on the environment and our responsibility for it. Although human beings are seen as the most intelligent life form on earth, they are responsible for almost all the damage done to the planet.

The Qur’an says that Allah (God) is the Creator of the world. Human beings are on the world as trustees or ‘vicegerents’. They are given responsibility to look after the world. The Earth is green and beautiful, and Allah has appointed you his stewards over it. The whole earth has been created a place of worship, pure and clean. Whoever plants a tree and diligently looks after it until it matures and bears fruit is rewarded. If we plant a tree or sows a field and humans and beasts and birds eat from it, we are rewarded for this deed.

Wars and Air Bombings are responsible of destroying the nature.

Allah says;

So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah’s handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.(Quran 30;30)

Humans have to look after the earth because it is all Allah’s creation and it is part of a human’s duty to Allah:

And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought (Quran 13:3)

And within the land are neighboring plots and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water; but We make some of them exceed others in [quality of] fruit. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason.(Quran 13:4)

People are responsible for the world which Allah created and they have to make their own decisions about how to do this.

Allah created this beautiful world not at random. Mountains, Trees, Rivers, Oceans, etc all hace specific functions.

In 1986, HRH Prince Philip, then President of the WWF International invited five leaders of five of the major religions of the world-Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism-to meet to discuss how their faiths could help save the natural world.

The meeting took place in Assisi in Italy, because it was the birth place of St Francis, the Catholic saint of ecology. From this meeting arose key statements by the five faiths outlining their own distinctive traditions and approach to the care for nature.

In the Assisi Declarations on Nature the Muslim statement was:

The central concept of Islam is Tawhid or the Unity of God. Allah is Unity; and His Unity is also reflected in the unity of mankind, and the unity of man and nature. His trustees are responsible for maintaining the unity of His creation, the integrity of the Earth, its flora and fauna, its wildlife and natural environment. Unity cannot be achieved by setting one need against another or letting one end predominate over another; it is maintained by balance and harmony. The Muslims say that Islam is the middle path and we will be answerable for how we have walked this path, how we have maintained balance and harmony in the whole of creation around us.

So unity, trusteeship and accountability are the three central concepts of Islam, are also the pillars of the environmental ethics of Islam. They constitute the basic values taught by the Qur’an. It is these values which led Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, to say: ‘Whoever plants a tree and diligently looks after it until it matures and bears fruit is rewarded.’

For all these reasons Muslims see themselves as having a responsibility towards the world and the environment, all of which are the creations of Allah.

Unlike many other religions, Muslims do not have any specific festivals in which they give thanks for the harvest or the world. Instead they give thanks to Allah regularly for his creation.

In order to separate Islam from other religions, the Islamic year is only 354 days, this means that the months and festivals happen at a different time each year and so there is no particular festival which falls during a period of harvest.

We should always remember the creator whenever we make future plans as Allah says in his glorious book Quran;

And never say of anything, “Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,” (Quran 18:23)

Except [when adding], “If Allah wills.” And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, “Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct.” (Quran 18:24)

We learn from the above Ayat how to use the right Islamic etiquette when determining any future project; We must mention the phrase “Insha’Allah’ (If Allah Wills).

When Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) declared Allah’s Oneness and proclaimed to be the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and revelation of Divine Message. The disbelievers of Makkah sent some men to Jewish rabbis in al-Medina and said: “Ask them (the rabbis) about Muhammad (PBUH), and describe him to them, and tell them what he is saying.

They are the people of the first Book, and they have more knowledge of the Prophets than we do.’ So they set out for Al-Medina, they asked the Jewish rabbis about the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). They described him to them and told them some of his teachings.

The rabbis said: ‘Ask him about three things and if he answers them then he is a Prophet who has been sent (by Allah); if he does not, then he is saying things that are not true, in which case how you will deal with him will be up to you. Ask him about some young men in ancient times, what was their story? For there is a strange and wondrous tale. Ask him about a man who traveled a great deal and reached the east and the west of the earth. What was his story? And ask him about the Ruuh (soul or spirit) what is it?

If he tells you about these things, then he is a Prophet, so follow him, but if he does not tell you, then he is a man who is making things up, so deal with him as you see fit. So, the men came back to Makkah and said: ‘O people! We have come to you with a decisive solution which will put an end to the problem between you and Muhammad (PBUH). The Jewish rabbis told us to ask him about some matters,’ and they told them what they were. Then they came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: ‘O Muhammad (PBUH) tell us,’ and they asked him about the things they had been told to ask.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “I will tell you tomorrow about what you have asked me.” But he (PBUH) did not say, ‘If Allah Wills.’

Allah Messenger (PBUH) never spoke anything except with revelation. So, he waited for the revelation from Allah but fifteen days passed away without any revelation concerning those matter which the disbelievers asked, neither did Jib reel (AS) come to him. The people of Makkah started to doubt him and said: ‘Muhammad (PBUH) promised to tell us the next day and now fifteen days have gone by and he has not told us anything in response to the questions we asked.’

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) felt sad because of the delay in revelation and was grieved by what the people of Makkah were saying about him.

Then Jib reel (AS) came with the revelation of Quran Chapter 18 which contained answers to the questions and also the above mentioned verse explaining the correct etiquette when determining to do something in the future.

Determining to do something in the future should always be attributed to the Will of Allah, Who is the Knower of the Unseen and Who Alone Knows what was and what is yet to happen and what is not to be.

So, if one determines to do something in the future or even takes an oath, he should say, ‘If Allah Wills’ or ‘Insha’Allah.’ If one forgets to say, Insha’Allah then he should say when he remembers it even if it is a year later, as Ibn Abbas (AS) explained.

Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) told us signs before the hour or end if times but

He didn’t didnt have the knowledge of the exact date (as the current scientists predictions giving us the exact date) of the end of this world. No one knows the future except Allah as he says from the above Ayat and also from the previous Hadith of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Always we have to add the phrase “if Allah wishes” whenever we plane to do something in the future.

We have to believe that Prophet Mohammad words on end of times were not his guesswork but from Allah as Allah says in his Glorious book Quran about his

messenger Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)

Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination (Quran 53:3)

It is not but a revelation revealed (Quran 53:4).

Logically we can predict but we should also add “Allah knows best”

And “if Allah wishes” and we should not fix time for future happenings as its completely wrong etiquette. We should never say “the world will end after such and such year” as this is Allah’s field and he knows best why he didn’t reveal to us.

We should go back to the Quran and Hadiths of Prophet Mohammad (BPUH)

and pray to the creator to help us protect our planet.

Before I conclude I would like to mention that Quran is a message from Allah and it never Contain any linguistically or contextually errors, and any errors found in my eBook is from me, myself, and as I am a scholar and researcher I am not exempted from errors.
