Get Rid of your Kidney Cysts at Home

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Kidney cysts are when pouches of fluid form on the surface of the kidneys. These can also happen inside the kidney. When the cysts become large, they may manifest symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, fever, or an ache in your side or back. The cysts may exist for a long time unnoticed until some of these pain or fever symptoms appear. To directly treat the cyst will require a visit to the doctor. However, at home, you can do a number of things to improve your situation.

Wholesome Hydration

Drinking sufficient water can be helpful. There are many benefits to drinking water and helping with kidney cysts is one of them. Water will allow your kidneys to perform their job correctly. It is recommended that you drink four liters of water per day. This amount of water will lead to about 1.5 liters of urine which can flush toxins out of the body. If you make some of your water intake juice, consider drinking cranberry juice. It has been shown to help with a wide variety of kidney and urinary issues.

Fruits and Vegetables Provide Fiber

Many nutritionists and doctors recommend diets rich in fresh and vegetables. These foods have a good fiber content and supply needed vitamin and minerals. Experts recommend about four to five cups of fruits and vegetables. Note that juice does not count towards your quota because it lacks fiber. Also, leafy vegetables, such as lettuce, count half as much towards your five cup quota.

Monitor Protein Consumption

Maintain a healthy balance of protein in your daily diet. Too much protein causes your kidneys to do extra work and two little leads to malnutrition. Include about one to one and a half cups of protein in your diet.  Make it lean protein to avoid excessive fats.

Herbal Tea can Assist

Herbal teas can help. They are good for your overall body. Especially consider teas such as chamomile, parsley, or marshmallow tea. Sip them throughout the day for an equivalent of two cups total.

Abandon Smoking

Smoking, fumes from household chemicals and cleaners, overuse of medicines create extra toxins in the body. This means extra work for your kidneys. Taxing the kidneys means stress on that organ and the cysts will increase in size. For better health, avoid these elements which make matters worse.

Light Exercise Boosts Immune Power

Avoid exercises which bend, stretch, or stress the kidney area. Light exercise such as brisk walking for 20 to 30 minutes several times a week can be helpful. The exercise boosts your health and immune system. So, your body is better able to reduce the cysts through its natural processes.

Flaxseed Oil Helps Fix

Flaxseed oil in combination with an increased diet of fruits and vegetables has had good results. Take some flaxseed oil daily. Be sure to have about nine portions of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables daily in your diet.

Vitamin E Can Lead to Improvement

Consider adding a supplement of Vitamin E to your daily regimen. Another good idea is a selenium supplement. [*Follow these daily and be sure to adjust your diet to have a wide variety of fruits and vegetables of at least five cups a day. *] Watch the amount of protein in your diet and stick to low-fat protein sources.

Some Ideas from TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has some good advice about dealing with kidney cysts. It advises supplements of dandelion root, milk thistle, or corn silk. Consider adding these to your plans. Follow recommended dosage instructions carefully for each item.

Solving Swelling from Dialysis at Home

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

If you have chronic kidney disease, you might find that your body retains fluids. This fluid retention can be especially noticeable when it occurs in your legs and arms. Medically, this swelling is called edema. This swelling can be unpleasant, and some find it painful. There are some options to improve things at home.

Subscribe to Low Salt

Avoid foods that add extra salt to your diet. Highly processed foods, such as junk foods and fast foods, are sources of high salt and should be steered clear of. Although they aren’t fast foods, convenience foods such as canned soups or frozen dinners are also high in salt. Certainly, avoid adding salt to your food in the form of table salt or also soy sauce. Be careful with sauces and condiments in general for hidden salt.

Put the Kibosh on Potassium

Watch the amount of high potassium foods in your diet. Foods to be avoided are bananas, oranges, potatoes, spinach, and tomatoes. Replace these with low potassium choices such as apples, carrots, cabbage, grapes, green beans, or blueberries. Be watchful of condiments that are salt substitutes as they often have extra potassium.

Choose Low Protein

Go easy on your kidneys by choosing low protein foods. Avoid foods such as lean meats, eggs, milk, cheese, and beans. Choose more low protein sources such as vegetables, bread and grains, and fruits. Low protein choices create less work and less stress on your kidneys.

Be Wary about Water

The more fluids you intake, the more fluids that are available cause swelling. Be mindful of the amount of water you drink. Realize that water comes from many sources such as fruits, soups, and even ice cream. All these fluid sources can lead to changes in the fluid balance in your body.

Movement Moves Water

Movements and stretching can help redistribute the excess fluids. However, avoid the strenuous use of swollen limbs until swelling has gone down. Using the muscles can pump fluids back from your extremities so that the fluids can be removed from your body.

Elevating Isn’t Just for Elevators

Several times a day, extend the swollen limbs to an elevation above the level of your heart. Hold this position for a few minutes and repeat several times daily. Anytime you are laying down; you can implement elevation to help. Every little bit helps. Consider using pillows strategically while you sleep to keep body areas elevated while sleeping.

Massage is Another Great Option

Firm but not painful massage can assist with excess fluids. Stroke the affected limb with firm pressure. Stroke in the direction of your heart as you are pushing fluid toward the heart. For added benefit, an ice pack can help. Be sure to wrap the ice pack in a cloth. Don’t apply ice directly to the skin. Apply the ice pack for up to 15 minutes.

Protect Your Skin

Use a moisturizer and keep skin protected. Feet should always have a covering because swelling usually starts there. Moist skin is less likely to crack under the strain of edema. With moist skin, patients can avoid scrapes and infections better.

Take a Good Rest

When swelling starts you should consider resting for a few days. You do not need to stay in bed, but avoid excessive use of that area of the body. A good night’s sleep will help your body return to its normal condition. Adults should get about seven or eight hours of sleep per night.

Taking Care of Plaque and Tartar at Home

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

It starts as plaque- sticky, paste-like film on teeth. If it is not removed, within two days the plaque will harden into tartar. Plaque and tartar can cause inflammation of the gums, bad breath, and lead to cavities in the teeth. However, with regular dental visits (twice per year) and consistent care at home, these problems will stay away.

Regular Brushing is the Initial Step

Brushing should be done twice a day minimum. Ideally, try to brush after each meal or snack. Always use a soft-bristled toothbrush and smaller head.  Replace the toothbrush every three months. Brush for two minutes. Use the small brush head to reach all the spots in the mouth such as back teeth, behind teeth, and inside the tooth line. Hold the brush at a forty-five-degree angle to allow the bristles to clean the gap between teeth and gums. Consider finishing your brushing routine by brushing the top surface of your tongue as well as the roof of your mouth. Be careful about the pressure you apply so that the bristles stay in good shape.

Floss for Flawlessness

Use floss once a day. A thicker, wider floss may be best such as a “dentotape.” It may be best do your flossing before bedtime. Contrary to popular belief, it is not critical to do flossing and brushing in a particular order. The important thing is to do both. Flossing is sometimes seen as an optional “nice to have” item. However, flossing is essential. Flossing loosens food particles between teeth and the act of flossing stimulates the gums promoting health.

Mouth Rinse for Complete Care

Brushing and flossing are essential. For added benefit, consider a mouth rinse or mouthwash. The best ones available are those that have both chlorhexidine and fluoride, such as Curasept ADS 205. Avoid mouthwashes that have alcohol or with a pH that is too acidic. Overtime, these will do more harm than good. Rinse your mouth once daily with your high quality mouthwash.

Choose a High Quality Toothpaste

When you brush, use a high quality toothpaste. Only brush with a toothpaste that contains fluoride. A small amount of paste is all that is needed; about the size of a pea. Brush thoroughly. Toothpastes with triclosan can help keep tartar from forming.

Watch Your Diet

Plaque thrives on sugary or starchy foods. Avoid these kinds of foods, especially as between meal snacks. If you need a snack, consider plain yogurt, fruit, cheese, or raw vegetables.  Some foods, like celery, help your saliva counteract plaque-causing conditions.

Stop Using Tobacco

Several studies have shown that tobacco users tend to have more plaque and tartar build up. To steer clear of problems, cut out tobacco use. This will also help you keep your breath fresher too.

Make Your DIY Dental Paste

It is not for every day, but this paste can be used a few times a week to supplement your regular toothpaste.  Just mix two tablespoons of baking soda with enough hydrogen peroxide to make a thick paste. Very gently massage the gum line and around the gums, and then brush your teeth. It is important to use a toothbrush with very soft bristles. Leave the paste in place for one minute. Then finish with a warm salt water rinse. Be sure to rinse off all traces of the paste.

White Vinegar for a Healthy Mouth

Make a mouth rinse with white vinegar. Mix two teaspoons of white vinegar with one teaspoon of salt in a glass of one-half cup of water. Rinse and swish this around your mouth twice a day. This should be used several times a week to help re-mineralize the teeth to strengthen them.

An Apple after Meals

Wait one half hour after eating, then eat a raw apple. The chewing action plus increased saliva will help cleanse your mouth of leftover food stuffs. It will chase away acids from the meal too. The apple will help both teeth and gums.

Home Treatment for Proteinuria and Chronic Kidney Failure

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Proteinuria means abnormally high levels of protein being excreted in your urine. This can happen naturally from time to time, so it is best to have several tests performed over time to see if the high protein readings are consistently elevated or not. Proteinuria is a symptom of a larger issue with your kidneys rather than a problem in itself. However, there is some work we can do at home to improve the overall situation.

Proper Protein

Make sure you have the correct amount of protein in your diet.  The average person needs 0.8 grams of protein for each kilogram of body weight. If you are eating in excess of that, then you are causing work for your kidneys to manage the extra amount. Make sure too the protein that you get is from lean, low-fat sources.

Cut Down on Salt

Reduce your salt intake. Do not add salt to food. Limit your consumption of high salt foods such as canned soup, dressings and sauces, cured meats, and highly processed foods. Extra salt causes extra work for the kidney which can aggravate the situation.

Watch Potassium and Phosphorus

Like salt, these two items put stress on your kidneys. Dark leafy greens, potatoes, beans, and bananas are all high in potassium. Seeds, nuts, and cheese are high phosphorus items. Limit these items in your diet. In addition, be careful about salt substitutes as these items may have high levels of potassium and phosphorus in exchange for salt.

Stop Smoking

Smoking has several ill effects on the lungs. However, smoking also leads to atherosclerosis. This condition increases blood pressure and reduces blood flow to the kidneys. To improve your health, give up smoking and other tobacco products. No only will your lungs and heart thank you, but your kidney will be healthier too.

Get Some Exercise

Exercise will help you maintain the proper weight and lower blood pressure. Even light exercise such as brisk walking for thirty minutes several times a week will have an impact.  Consider walking with a friend in a park to make it more enjoyable. Other options include using the stairs up or down for part of the way to your destination.

Maintain a Proper Weight

Excess pounds on your body frame carry a number of health risks. Look carefully at reducing your weight gradually. Make changes to your diet to reduce the number of calories. Increase the amount of physical activity you do. Look at other eating options such as fruits and vegetables. Make sure you are getting about nine servings of fruit and vegetables daily.

Limit Alcohol and Increase Hydration

Drink alcohol in moderation, if at all.  No more than one to two drinks per day. Excess alcohol makes your kidneys work harder and overall creates more health problems for the body. Consider other options such as juices, teas, or pure water. Cranberry juice has been noted as being especially good. Adults should have about two liters of water per day. Being dehydrated is bad for your kidneys.

Eat More Apples

Apples are known for their cleansing and detoxifying properties. Have an apple a day to help your kidneys. If you have some raw apple after a meal, it can help with digestion and cleaning of your teeth too. Be sure to eat raw, fresh apples instead of applesauce.

Watch Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure

Monitor both blood sugar, especially if you are diabetic, and blood pressure. When these are at elevated levels, kidney damage can result.  High blood pressure is one of the most frequent causes of kidney damage. A normal blood pressure level is about 120 / 80.

Lyme Disease Home Remedies

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Lyme disease is caused by four main strands of bacteria. These are transported by ticks. You are more likely to get Lyme Disease if you spend time in areas with heavy underbrush, tall grass, or are heavily wooded. Symptoms can include rashes and flu-like symptoms. The rashes often appear on the skin around where a tick has been removed. There are some home remedies that can help.

Prevention is the First Step

Ticks cannot fly or jump, so the first step is to keep them off of you. If you must pass through heavily wooded or tall grass areas, wear long pants, socks, and long sleeve shirts. When you get home, shower to remove any ticks in your hair and also to get a good look at your skin and body for any ticks. Put your clothes through the clothes dryer so the heat kills any ticks prior to putting those clothes back on.

Use a Tick Repellent

Tick repellents come in a variety of styles. Cover exposed skin with one containing lemon oil or eucalyptus. If children are with you, apply the repellent for them but avoid their hands, so they do not get it in their mouths.

Flaxseed Oil

High in Omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed oil provides an immune system booster. Take up to six tablespoons daily to support your immune system. Choose high-quality flaxseed oil and organic flaxseed oil, if you can find it.

Aloe Vera Removes Toxins

Aloe vera juice is a great way to spurn toxins from your body. Drink aloe vera juice twice a day until healed. Pure aloe vera gel can be applied to the skin for areas where a tick has been removed.

Garlic for Health

Garlic is renowned for its healing properties. Have two to three cloves daily. The cloves can be chopped into small pieces and eaten with a glass of water. This might lead to slight stomach discomfort if your stomach had been empty. Another option is to spread the crushed garlic on some toast.

Extract of Olive Leaf

This extract is a great disease fighter for a broad spectrum of conditions. Take several tablespoons of infusion of olive leaf extract daily until cured.

Echinacea

Long known to Native American healers and then European settlers, Echinacea has myriad uses. It is also effective against Lyme Disease. This herb can be taken in capsules but also in a tea. Have some several times daily to improve your health.

Oil of Oregano

Oil of Oregano is found to be effective. Take up to ten drops daily and mix with several drops of grapefruit seed extract for extra efficacy.

Astragalus

This herb has a number of side effects and risks. However, it has long been used to fight Lyme Disease in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its use is highly recommended for Lyme Disease. However this should be done with expert advice from a reputable TCM practitioner.

Black Walnut Hulls and Cloves

Both of these are known for their antiparasitic properties. You should take up to 500 mg of black walnut hulls with a half-teaspoon of cloves daily for fourteen days.

Cumanda

This herb from the Amazon basin is effective against Lyme Disease. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps with pain. Consider adding some cumanda to your daily regimen.

Home Care for Swollen Legs and Kidney Disease

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Leg swelling comes from the excess fluid build up. This fluid build up could originate with several causes, and one of those is kidney disease or kidney failure. For kidney failure, also called renal failure, there are some home remedies to improve the situation.

Lower your Potassium

To assist your kidneys with removing waste and toxins, eat low potassium foods. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as apples, cabbages, grapes, strawberries, and green beans are excellent choices. Include some in each meal.

Reduce Sodium

Switch to low-salt foods. Avoid canned, frozen, and highly processed foods. They have high sodium content. At home, do not add salt to food in cooking or at the table. Less salt means less waste for your kidney to balance and eliminate. It will also affect your blood pressure.

Limit Phosphorous

Avoid high phosphorous content foods such as milk, cheese, dried beans, nuts and peanut butter. It is not possible to avoid all of these, so just be aware of how much phosphorous you have in your diet.

Lower Your Weight

Follow a moderate diet with some light exercise to have gradual weight loss. Losing weight will go a long way to reducing strain on your kidney but also reducing excess fluid. Not only will your kidney work easier, but your whole body will be more healthy. Be sure not to do a fad diet or a crash diet. These express-train diets can have side effects which may be important when you are carefully watching your food choices.

Keep Your Feet Elevated

Whenever you are lying down, you should use pillows, or a rolled up blanket to elevate your feet. This is especially important when you are lying down for an extended time such as while sleeping. Consider other extended times you are sedentary such as when reading a book or watching television. At those times, look for ways to keep your feet elevated.

Walking for Fluid

Include daily walking of ten minutes every two waking hours. In addition, plan to do some brisk walking for thirty minutes three times a week. The exercise will pump fluid out of your legs. A problem of walking will help you lose weight and improve overall health. Another excellent idea is to do some yoga. Stay active and the water will pump out.

Ankle Pumps Will Help

This is the exercise where you point your toes down and then point them up flexing your ankles. Do this exercise five times and each time do three sets of thirty repetitions. This exercise can easily be done while you are at home, watching TV, or at the office. Combine this with some walking to get a faster benefit. Be aware of tight-fitting clothes at the thigh or tight-fitting socks. These can trap fluids in the legs.

Water Exercise

Take to the pool and do water-based aerobics for a low-impact exercise. Another option is simply to walk in the water.  Schedule this for three times a week and each session a solid thirty minutes. You will find the pool will support your weight, so this exercise is a good starter exercise if you are unsure about more rigorous exercises.

Overall Diet Improvements

Look to improving your overall diet. Switch to lean protein sources. Make sure you are not eating excess protein. Avoid high fat items. Eating more fresh vegetables and fruits will help too. Be sure to drink at least ten cups of water per day. Your liquids can include green tea or herbal tea for some additional benefit to you.

Kidney Failure and Dialysis Home Remedies

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

One of the most essential organs in your body is your kidneys. You have two of them, and they work your whole life to filter out toxins. They also play a role in blood pressure by maintaining the balance of water and salt. When you have severe kidney problems or kidney failure, then dialysis is needed to perform the toxin filtering. Here are some home remedies that can help.

Low Salt Diet

Reduce salt in your diet. Do not add salt to food either in cooking or at the table. Extra salt will increase the stress on your kidneys as they have to do more work to maintain a proper salt balance. In addition, watch for high salt foods. For example, canned soups, frozen dinners, and highly processed foods will have high salt, or sodium, in them.

Dandelion

Consider adding dandelion regularly to your plans. Dandelion has diuretic properties. So, it will help remove excess fluid which can build up in your arms and legs. Dandelion has long been recommended in Traditional Chinese Medicine for kidney problems.

Parsley Juice

Parsley is renowned as a way to freshen the breath. But it is also a good cleanser for the body. It is rich in important vitamins such as vitamin A, B, and C. Just chop up some parsley and pour boiling water over them. Let the mixture steep until it is cool enough to drink. Strain out the parsley and drink it. Alternatively, you can boil the chopped parsley in the pot.

Cranberry Juice

Cranberry juice is highly recommended for kidney issues. Drink 2-3 glasses of cranberry juice per day. Watch carefully for how much salt and sugar have been added to the juice. Also, it is important not to drink too much cranberry juice. Several glasses a day is enough.

Herbal Teas

Herbal teas can bring a world of good to you. Stick with green teas, dandelion tea, marshmallow tea, or blueberry tea. These teas are known in Chinese Medicine for their good benefits for kidneys. Have two cups per day.

Low Potassium

Low sodium is recommended, but also low potassium. Avoid foods that are high in potassium such as bananas, nuts, potatoes, spinach, and oranges. Be aware that salt substitutes often contain high amounts of potassium.

Make the Switch to Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil has many beneficial properties. In your cooking and at your table, change to using extra virgin olive oil for all your oil needs. Olive oil is considered healthy oil that promotes health.

Lower Protein

Having too much protein causes extra strain on your kidneys. Get the right amount of protein in your diet. Cut down if you are consuming in excess. Make sure your protein sources are low fat and low sodium. Avoid processed meats.

Water

It is one of the most important things for your life. Your body is made up of over 70% of it. It is water. Avoid dehydration by having plenty of water. Water helps flush out toxins by supporting excretion (urine production). Having plenty of water helps with blood pressure and overall health. Adults should have at least two liters of pure water daily.

Get Some Exercise

Light exercise will strengthen the body and help improve immunity. Consider brisk walking for 20-30 minutes three times a week. Another option is yoga or tai chi. Be sure to get instruction in doing the poses and form correctly for maximum benefit.

Cucumbers can be a Home Remedy for Kidney Failure

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Kidney failure, which is also called renal failure, is the medical condition where the kidneys no longer can sufficiently filter waste and toxins from the blood. Kidneys play an important role in removing waste and also regulate salt and water levels in the body. These levels, in turn, affect blood pressure. Home remedies that involve cucumbers may help.

Cucumbers in your Diet Help

One of the important things regarding kidney problems is to limit the amount of salt. Excess salt must be removed by the kidneys. Avoid highly processed foods such as canned foods and highly processed foods. Replace these foods with healthy, fresh alternatives. One of these is cucumber. Choose fresh, organic cucumber from the market.  Cucumbers can be made into a zesty salad. In a blender, finely chop one cup of mint leaves with two tablespoons of lemon juice and three tablespoons of olive oil. In a serving bowl, combine two pounds of cooled, cooked shrimp with the zest of one lemon and the mint mixture. Toss and serve.

Hydrated for Health

Adults need about two liters of water per day. Hydration is important because water is needed to maintain proper blood pressure. Water also is used to eliminate wastes from the body.  A recipe involving cucumbers is the following: finely chop one cucumber, one lemon, and a quarter-cup each of fresh basil and fresh mint. Place in a serving pitcher and add ten cups of water. Stir. Then refrigerate overnight before serving.

Cucumber Soups

Cucumber can be made into a gazpacho-style soup. Remove the seeds and puree two cucumbers and combine with other healthy ingredients such as two tablespoons fresh dill, one-quarter cup mint, and two tablespoons of lemon juice. Then add one-third cup finely chopped sweet onion and one scallion. Mix with a two-thirds cup of water, one-half cup half and half cream, and one-third cup sour cream. Chill and serve.

Cucumber as a Sandwich Spread

A tasty sandwich spread from cucumbers can be a treat. Just combine two tablespoons of cream cheese with one tablespoon of plain yogurt. Mix in a quarter teaspoon of dry Italian salad dressing mix and a pinch of dried dill weed. Chill for at least one hour. Peel and slice half a cucumber. Toast four slices of bread.  Spread the mixture on the toast. Then place slices of cucumber on top. Serve.

Cucumber Mojito for Celebrations

This mocktail will be the talk of the party. First, make mint syrup by simmering one-third cup each of water and raw sugar.  Remove from heat and add one-half cup of mint leaves. Let it steep for ten minutes; then strain and cool. Next, braise and mix four mint leaves, half a lime cut into wedges, and four slices of peeled cucumber. Add one ounce of the mint syrup and one-half cup of ice. Add four ounces of apple juice or pink grapefruit juice. Top up with dry cucumber soda. Club soda can be substituted for cucumber soda. Serve.

Use a Juicer for Ease

Want to get more cucumber into your diet? Try using a juicer and this great recipe. In the juicer, combine twelve centimeters of watermelon, two tablespoons of raspberry, six strawberries, one carrot, half a cucumber, and one-half cup or parsley. Stir and serve. This mixture can keep for up to twenty-four hours. Be sure to eat low-potassium foods the rest of the day as this recipe contains high potassium foods.

Get Some Exercise -- With Cucumber

Some mild exercise like walking is important. Three times a week, take a thirty-minute walk. You should keep up a good, brisk pace. Take some cucumber water with you for hydration. To make cucumber water, just take one organic cucumber. Slice it. Combine into two quarts of water. Optionally add some braised mint leaves to taste and some lime or lemon juice also to taste. Chill overnight. As you walk, stay quenched with your cucumber water. Bring a friend to talk with too.

Lose Weight with Cucumbers

You should take some of the load off your kidneys by reducing weight. Weight loss should happen gradually. One way to do this is to use cucumbers. Get a spiral cutter to cut an organic cucumber into interesting shapes. Use the spiral-cut cucumber as an uncooked substitute for noodles in your favorite pasta dishes. This will cut calories dramatically and reduce fat.

Cucumbers Baked

It is not all salads and smoothies. Cucumbers can be baked too. Prepare cucumbers by peeling, seeding, and steeping in some white vinegar overnight. These can be baked into recipes such as mock lasagna. Cucumbers are versatile.

Read more Home Remedies articles: http://j.mp/29NuH7V

Black fungus is also known as the Wood Ear mushroom. It has many positive properties which make it a prime candidate for helping with kidney diseases. Problems with the kidney can range from kidney stones to regulation of salt and blood pressure. Here are some of the uses for black fungus.

Rich in Iron

Anemia is the condition where the blood does not have enough iron. Black fungus is rich in iron, so it is perfect to help with problems of low iron in the blood. One method of preparation is to make an omelet. Prepare the black fungus by soaking for 30 minutes in cold water, then trim off stems and clean. Tear it into small pieces. Use two beaten eggs, a whole carrot, one green onion, and pepper to taste. Chop the vegetables into small pieces and cook with the fungus over high heat for about one minute. Then reduce the heat and stir in the eggs. When cooked, serve.

Lowers Blood Pressure

Just soak the fungus for two hours in cool water. Clean it and cut into small pieces. In a slow cooker, put up to one gallon of water. Add three slices of ginger, ten red dates, and twenty wolfberries. Boil overnight. The reduced liquid can be drunk daily preferably in the morning on an empty stomach. Use it for up to two weeks and avoid fried and oily foods. Eat extra fruit and vegetables during treatment.

Black Fungus Soup Helps Kidneys

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, black fungus is good for tonifying the kidneys. It also helps remove toxins from the body. One way to do this is by eating healthy black fungus soup. The soup is made from black fungus, ginger, turmeric, and black beans. When you seek out a recipe, be mindful of salt. This healthy soup will be perfect on cool or cold days too.

Rich in Calcium

Black fungus is rich in calcium. It will help strengthen bones. A good way to prepare it is with garlic. Try this recipe. Soak the black fungus for thirty minutes in cool water. Clean and cut off the stems. Blanch for three minutes. Remove and drain. In a mixing bowl, combine the fungus with chopped red chili, garlic, and yellow chili. Optionally toss in some sesame seeds.  Garnish with coriander leaves and a splash of white vinegar to taste. Serve and eat.

The Right Amount of Protein

Black fungus can be part of your plans to get the right amount of protein. Soak and prepare the black fungus. Slice lean beef into very thin slices. Lightly dust the beef with flour. Chop up one green onion and some ginger. Stir fry the beef. When it is cooked, remove and set it aside. Add some pepper to the oil in the stir fry pan. Stir in the ginger, green onion, and fungus. As you stir fry, add some sweet, white cooking wine and some low-sodium soy sauce. Toss with the beef and serve.

Three Healthy Things to Combine with Black Fungus

Garlic and ginger are known for their medicinal properties. Celery is especially good for cleansing and compliments the positive qualities of the fungus. Soak and clean some black fungus. Grate some ginger and garlic to taste. Chop two stalks of celery. Stir fry all the ingredients. Stir in a splash of Chinese cooking wine and some low-sodium soy sauce. Dissolve one teaspoon cornstarch in a quarter cup of warm water. Add the cornstarch water to the stir fry and quickly mix in. Serve hot and eat.

Weight Loss and Black Fungus

It is important to watch your weight when you have kidney problems. Daily exercise of brisk walking for twenty or thirty minutes will reap many health benefits including lowering your weight. Your weight loss plans can be enhanced with low-fat foods. Consider stir frying some black fungus with Chinese cabbage, a carrot, and a green onion. Toss with low-sodium soy sauce and some cornstarch water when you are ready to serve.

Plenty of Water

One important thing with kidney diseases is to drink plenty of water. The body needs water to flush out toxins and to maintain proper blood pressure. One way to get enough liquid is to add Black Fungus Tea to your daily plans. Prepare the Black Fungus Tea and have it twice a day. One of the times should be in the morning on an empty stomach.

Diabetes and Black Fungus

One of the risk factors for kidney disease is diabetes. High blood sugar levels exacerbate problems with the kidney. Consider eating a low-sugar, low-fat salad made from black fungus. Soak, trim, and clean the black fungus. Chop up two cloves of garlic, some coriander, and one green onion. In a pan, heat one-half teaspoon brown sugar, low-sodium soy sauce, and one tablespoon of rice vinegar until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped vegetables. In a serving bowl, pour the mixture over the black fungus and serve.
