About Tosin Adeola

Every one of us will one day stand before God to give account of the choices we made during our life on earth. God will not be responsible for your actions. But He will judge you based on it.

Be not tricked; God is not made sport of: for whatever seed a man puts in, that will he get back as grain. (Galatians 6:7 BBE)

Your choices are seeds and you cannot get away with the results, whether good or bad. The best opportunity God has given you is the power to sow good seeds by making right choices.

God wants you to make right choices, so that you will enjoy the best He has for you. He sent Jesus to open the way that makes right choices possible. All you need to do is decide and embrace God’s way to success in life.

You are not a product of chance, God had a plan and He chose to create you for it. You have been empowered by God to live your life by right choices. You don’t live by chance, but by choice.

Many people find it hard to make right choices; that is the reason for writing this book. I want to help you identify those choices that you must make to enjoy life abundantly. It’s never late for you to get it right; I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened as you go through the pages of this book. It’s time to make right choices. Shalom

Apostle & Teacher

One of the greatest powers God gave man is the power to choose. When God created the first man Adam, He gave him instructions to keep and left him with the power to make his choice. With this power in the hands of Adam, he made a wrong choice by disobeying God’s law and selling out to the devil and since then, the entire human race have been suffering from the consequences of this singular choice.

Every day of our lives presents to us the opportunity to make choices. But often times, we play ignorance to the fact that our choices are roads that we create to our future. You won’t be surprised where you are today by the time you take a stock of your choices in the past. If you are poor today, it’s an indication you have been taking wrong choice as far as your finance is concerned.

[] Right and Wrong Choices

The journey of life has two destinations – success or failure. It is our choices rather than fate that determines what the end of every man’s journey will be. Most people believe that “what will be, will be”, which is not true. The truth is this; what will be, will only be, if the steps that will make it happen are taken by men.

Right decisions or choices lead to success in whatever you are venturing into while wrong choices will lead to failure no matter how viable the idea or venture may be. People don’t end up in heaven or hell by chance; they end up in either place by their choices. Anyone that will end up eternally in heaven with God must choose to forsake sin and accept Jesus and be born again.

Many marriages have ended up in divorce because of wrong choices. Sometimes, separation or divorce may not be a result of wrong choice of spouses but choice of wrong words, actions and behaviour by right people in relationship. Whenever spouses decide to choose wrong words and attitudes at solving their marital differences, they create the road to crisis and separation in their relationships.

As it affects marriage; it also affects career, finances and health. Failure to make right choices when expected will drive anyone to an undesirable future. Reading this book to the end will be one of the best choices of your life as you will be enlightened and empowered to make those right choices that will lead you to your desired future.

[]How Choices are made

There is a road that seems right for a man to travel, but in the end it’s the road to death. (Proverbs 16:25 ISV emphasis mine)

Choices are made by men as it seems right to them. Whatever seems right to you is a function of your level of understanding. This is where maturity plays out. A little child will choose an attractive food over a golden ring. To the child, his level of understanding says, food is better than gold; whereas an adult will choose the gold a million times over the food because he knows the gold can produce multiple servings of such attractive food.

Brothers, stop being childish in your thinking. Be like infants with respect to evil, but think like adults. (1 Corinthians 14:20 ISV)

But solid food is for mature people, whose minds are trained by practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:14 ISV)

It takes a matured mind to make adult decision. A lot of grown-ups are immature in the area of finances. They make childish choices and end up poor at the end of their lives. To make right choices, you must have developed a matured reasoning in every area of your life. How you view issues will affect your choices in life.

I want you to understand that maturity is not a function of age. Maturity is a function of relevant knowledge backed up with adequate understanding. If you are constantly making wrong choices, you need to go for knowledge and understanding to be delivered and set free from it.

In my years of witnessing Christ, one thing I have discovered is that people will come to Jesus when it seems right to them. Many reject the offer of salvation because, it doesn’t seem right to them and they’d rather remain in their sins. That is why methods are important in evangelism. Some methods will never work on certain individuals, but may be suitable for another group. The one who knows the right method is the Holy Spirit and we must rely on Him at all times.

If you are going to constantly make right choices in life, you must change the way you view things. Changing your perspectives is possible through a constant renewal of mind. You can begin to see things God’s way and make God’s kind of choices if you will start meditating on His word.

[]God of Right Choices

God is a God of right choices. If you want to make right choices in life, just follow Him. God always declare things that are right.

I, the LORD, speak truth, declaring what is right. (Isaiah 45:19 ISV)

Because God knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), His words are dependable. He knows what is hidden from the heart and eyes of men and most importantly, He is eternally good and kind.

Right choices are embedded in God’s instructions. God’s instructions do not only guarantee success, it is the only secured way of getting things done.

God’s way is the only sure way to arriving at your expected destination. His thoughts are that of peace and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11). His mercy is everlasting and His favour is an all-encompassing one. He has never led anyone astray before, neither has anyone been disappointed following His ways. God is perfect in all His ways (Deuteronomy 32:4).

This God! His way is perfect! What the LORD declares proves true. He shields everyone who flees for protection to him! (2 Samuel 22:31 ISV)

The word of God is filled with the best choices you can make for your life. God can never lie (Titus 1:2). His words are forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89) and His word is the final authority in every situation. The Bible is not a theological book, but a guide to making the best of choices in life.

“Indeed, if you diligently obey the LORD your God to carry out all his commands that I’m giving you today, then the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:1 ISV)

Guiding your choices by God’s word opens you to a world of no limit. God’s ways as contained in His word, if followed is your guaranteed access to the top. God takes responsibility for promoting you when you follow His ways.

[] Why men make wrong choices

Though God is a God of right choices, He will never force His will on any man. On the other hand, satan is the god of wrong choices and he will do everything to force his will on men if allowed.

Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 ISV)

Wrong choices are made when men stop listening to God and opens door for the deception of the devil. One of the devil’s striking weapons of mass destruction is deception. He goes about in a restless and determined way to lure people into his net.

We are living in days when the devil is deceiving many people to make wrong choices. Secular leaders are choosing corruption over human development. Destruction is on the increase because men chose war over peace. All of these wrong decisions are products of the deception of the devil.

The devil is doing everything possible to deceive men because he wants them to live in constant disobedience to God. Whenever you make a wrong choice, you drift from the purpose of God for your life. One wrong decision by King David instigated by the devil led a whole nation of Israel into punishment from God. “Then Satan attacked Israel by inciting David to enumerate a census of Israel… God considered this behavior to be evil, so he attacked Israel.” (1 Chronicles 21:1,7 ISV)

Satan, the god of this world specializes at inciting men to make wrong choices. “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them”. (2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV). The devil will make a married man choose a night pleasure with a prostitute over peace with his wife. Many wives are deceived by the devil to disobey their husbands.

God has sets of order for every sphere of our lives and following them is the best way to get good results. But the devil will always want us to rule out God’s order and do what we like. God’s order is that a man should marry a woman, but satan in his quest to change it have made men choose marrying their fellow men (homosexuality) as a way of life. The devil is busy inciting men to do wrong things. But the power of God is able to deliver as many that will come to Him for help.

[] How to make right choices

The best thing that can happen to a man is to know how to choose right in every situation. You won’t have to worry about losing money if you know how to choose the right business idea from a wrong one. That is why it’s important we talk about how right choices are made possible.

First, you have to know the God of right choices if you are determined to succeed. At this junction, I like you to know that God does not want you to end as a failure. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to die in your place so that you can have eternal life. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour is the first choice to make right now which will open the door to a deeper relationship with the God of right choices.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14 KJV)

God CAN never make wrong choice and those who are led by His Spirit are immune to wrong choices. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth (John 16:13) and His mission is the revelation of the truth.

If you want to make right choices that guarantee a successful life, you need the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will reveal God’s word to you and also empower you to do it. Even if you were helpless doing what is right, as you allow the Spirit of the Lord to control your life, He will give you grace sufficient to carry out the will of God.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV)

The bible, the written word of God is packed with great instructions for living a successful life. The bible is like a map that guides us to where we ought to be. The psalmist said “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my pathway”. (Psalms 119:105 ISV). The word of God has the capacity to clear any darkness of doubt in our hearts and give us clarity about any issue of life.

The Holy Spirit interprets the word of God and presents it to us in languages we can understand. He also empowers us to carry them out if we rely on Him. The more you submit to the Holy Spirit and God’s word, the more accurate your life will be.

[]Mind your words

Choices are made by what we say! Yet most people find it difficult to believe that their words have effect on them. The bible says “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”. (Matthew 12:37 KJV).

To choose right, you must speak right. You can’t be speaking negative words and expect positive results. If you want healing, you need to start speaking healing words. What you say is a direct reflection of your choice. Before David encountered Goliath, he declared what he expected.

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. (1 Samuel 17:34-37 KJV)

Even though the giant (Goliath) tried to scare him with his words, David’s choice of words showed that he was determined to win.

And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. (1 Samuel 17:43-46 KJV)

You can’t afford to speak careless words anymore. Begin to mind what you say by ensuring they are in line with the word of God and victory will be sure for you.

Before I usher you into the remaining part of this book, let me remind you that God is not responsible for the choices you make. God is only responsible for what He says. If you believe and confess what He says and pattern your life according to it, He will take up the responsibility of bringing it to pass. God respects your choice and will not force His will on you. You can’t blame God for your choices, because the power to choose is in your hands. May God help you to use it well in Jesus name, Amen.

The subsequent pages of this book contain the will of God concerning some specific areas of your life. It has been passionately packaged to deliver you from making wrong choices and fulfilling the purpose of God for your life. Receive these words with an open heart and be willing to do them. I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will release upon you right now the grace to understand and do all that is written herein. Amen.

It’s your time to choose right!

“I call heaven and earth to testify against you today! I’ve set life and death before you today: both blessings and curses. Choose life, that it may be well with you—you and your children. (Deuteronomy 30:19 ISV)

The choice of life over death is not optional. No one in his or her right senses will ever give the choice of death a second thought. Nobody wants to die including the aged; everyone wants to live for as long as possible. But the life and death we are talking about goes beyond this present time, it transcends to eternity.

Laid before every one of us is the choice between life and death (Deut 30:19). But as easy as it would have been for everyone to choose life; some factors have made it difficult. I used to wonder why anyone will reject the offer of salvation until I came across 2 Corinthians 4:4. Though the devil specializes in blinding the eyes of men from seeing the light, Greater is the word of God that gives light and understanding to as many that will humble themselves to receive Him.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not… He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:1-12 KJV)

Jesus said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. (John 14:6 ISV). If you want to have life, you must choose to follow Jesus. Those who reject Jesus cannot experience life. You need the life that is available with Jesus to live a productive life. The life of Jesus infuses into you the ability or capacity to function like God.

When Adam was created and received the life of God, he was able to function like God up till he chose death through disobedience. Adam’s choice did not only affect him and his wife; it affected the entire human race born after him. But thanks to Jesus who is the second Adam and whose right choice has given as many that will receive Him favour with God.

I want you to know that your choice today will not only affect you, but generations after you. Your fore-fathers may not be in heaven, but through you, your children and their descendants should not miss heaven. I urge you to choose life that you and generations after you may live a well and fulfilled life.

Choices are not made by mouth alone; they are made by right words and action. If you want to choose life, you need to start studying and meditating on the word of life. Jesus said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh accomplishes nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and LIFE”. (John 6:63 ISV). To choose life, you must submit yourself to the word of God. The choice of His words over other things is what guarantees life for you.

My son, pay attention to my words, and listen closely to what I say. Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. (Proverbs 4:20-22 ISV)

Carnality leads to death, but spirituality leads to life. According to Romans 8:6 [AMP] “Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

Reasoning or thinking without the Holy Spirit brings death. You are not a child of God because you go to church; you are a child of God because you have the Holy Spirit. You don’t become a son of God by your age in church; you grow up to become a son through recognizing the voice of the Holy Spirit and following Him. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. (Romans 8:14 KJV).

I urge you to choose life and follow its path. Don’t let the devil confuse you to believe “what will be, will be”. Take responsibility and advantage of the power God has given you to make the right choice. Choose life today by a total surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Let the Holy Spirit take you through the word of God. Set your mind on the things of God and you will see the life of God dominating every area of your life.

Living in total health is a choice you have to make if you will be free from sickness. You don’t get healed or live in good health by wishing or being idle; it takes a determination backed by action. Good health will not come to you unless you make the choice and which must be based on the word of God.

Now there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches (alcoves, colonnades, doorways). In these lay a great number of sick folk—some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up)—{waiting for the bubbling up of the water.} {For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.}

There was a certain man there who had suffered with a deep-seated {and} lingering disorder for thirty-eight years. When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?] The invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.

Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk! Instantly the man became well {and} recovered his strength and picked up his bed and walked. But that happened on the Sabbath. (John 5:2-9 [amp])

The question Jesus asked the man in the above passage is that of choice. Despite the fact that Jesus wanted this man to be healed, He won’t do it without his consent. The response of this man “Sir, I have nobody” showed the reason he had being in that position for 38 years. He would have continued in the same problem and eventually die if Jesus did not show up.

Jesus knew the state of mind of this man and gave him another brand new opportunity to choose. Jesus said to him without considering his earlier response, “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk”. This is a command from the Healer and when the sick man acted on it, he got healed immediately.

The word of God is powerful enough to terminate any form of health challenge. Many people are living in sickness because they have chosen the way of men over the ways of God. Total health is a free gift of God available only to those who will receive it.

There are lots of misconceptions about receiving healing and staying in total health. No matter how much you desire good health, it will only come by choosing the right way. God does not want to heal you anyhow; He has a way through which He sends healing to His people.

[] Wrong ways to choose health

If you want to live in total health, there are ways that will never lead you there. They may give you a temporary experience of healing, but you will never enjoy what total health is as long as you depend on them.

Medical intervention is good as far as management of an illness is concerned, but it does not have the integrity to heal. One fact about medicine is that it is accessible to you based on how buoyant you are at affording it. But despite the increasing improvements in health care delivery, it has not stopped the spread of terminal ailments. Many people (both rich and poor) are dying every day from the scourge of sickness.

It will be a deadly error to rely on medical intervention for total health. Doctors can only manage your situation for as long as their “trials and error” can carry them. Until you choose the right way, you will be a regular customer in those medical laboratories.

A woman was there who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years. Although she had spent all she had on doctors, no one could heal her. She came up behind Jesus and touched the tassel of his garment, and her bleeding stopped at once. (Luke 8:43-44 ISV)

You don’t have to be the one making doctors rich.

All forms of human ideas will never give you total health. Whether nutritional recommendations; herbal supplements and drugs from any part of the world. They will only sustain you for a while. That is why you need to know the right way that total healing comes and decide to follow it.

[] Right way to choose health

The right way to choose health is through Jesus Christ. “Jesus told him, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE...” (John 14:6 ISV). Jesus is the Bread of life and He will grant total health to as many that will dare to eat Him.

The power of Jesus is assessable in the word of God. The bible says that “He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called the Word of God. (Revelation 19:13 ISV). And according to Psalms 107:20 KJV, He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

The word of God is the only sure remedy to all forms of sickness, whether curable or incurable. A lot of people make the mistake of just reading the word without taking time to feast on it through meditation and visualization. The bible said in Jeremiah 15:16 KJV, Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

The woman with the issue of blood that we talked about earlier lost all her earnings on doctors and there was no improvement. But there came a time when she heard about Jesus and changed her mind;

Now there was a woman who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years. Although she had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all of her money, she had not been helped at all but rather grew worse. Since she had heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his robe, because she had been saying, “If I can just touch his robe, I will get well.” Her bleeding stopped at once, and she felt in her body that she was healed from her illness. (Mark 5:25-29 ISV)

Sometimes, we think that God needs our help to get us healed and thus we put human effort and ideas first before calling on God. A lot of Christians, when they fall ill will first think about their doctor or the drugs they used the last time they were faced with illness. And after they are satisfied with that, they mutter some few lines of prayer asking God to make the drugs work.

God doesn’t honour such practice because it is not in line with His word. Receiving healing from God is the other way round. God will honour your faith no matter how little when you put Him first before seeking any other means. His word says “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).

One advantage you get by choosing to put God first whenever you are faced with any health challenge is that, He will lead you into where your solution is. His ways are always blessed. God can lead you to use what looks natural and unreasonable to solve your health challenge. Jesus told the blind man to go and wash in the pool of Siloam and when he did, the blind man received his sight (John 9:7).

Though God may use what looks natural to solve health challenge; we must not be carried away by them. Natural means cannot replace His words. We must not rely on handkerchiefs, anointing oils, holy water and other materials for constant release of healing just because God used them in the past. God’s healing power cannot be caged in a method or material.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 KJV)

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Psalms 107:20 KJV)

The word of God is the only way that will never fail when it comes to desiring healing from God. The book of Psalms 138:2 KJV says “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”. Every other ways may fail, but God’s word will never fail.

Before you think of anointing oils, water, handkerchiefs and even drugs, let the word of God be your anchor. Another good news is that, the word of God is a medicine that can be taken in every form of ailment. “My son, pay attention to my words, and listen closely to what I say... For they are life to those who find them, and healing (medicine) to their whole body”. (Proverbs 4:20-22 ISV emphasis mine).

[] How to choose the word as a medicine

Choosing the word of God as your medicine is the best way to live in total health. Below are ways that make this possible.

  1. Get the prescription:

Just like drugs are prescribed, the word of God must be prescribed before it can be effective. The scripture God used to get you out of headache may be different from what He will use when you are faced with ulcer. Doctors prescribe drugs, but when it comes to the word of God, the Holy Spirit is the one that prescribes it.

Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own accord, but will speak whatever he hears and will declare to you the things that are to come. (John 16:13 ISV)

Therefore, the first thing to do when you are faced with health challenge is to settle down with the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to where the word for your condition is. By asking the Holy Spirit to lead you and give you the right word for your healing, He will open your understanding about whatever verse He directs you to and the reality of your healing will be revealed. Even in emergencies, the Holy Spirit will bring scriptures to your mind that you can act on.

When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a centurion came up to him and begged him repeatedly, “Sir, my servant is lying at home paralyzed and in terrible pain.” Jesus told him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion replied, “Sir, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed, because I, too, am a man under authority and I have soldiers under me. I say to one of them ‘Go’ and he goes, to another ‘Come’ and he comes, and to my servant ‘Do this’ and he does it.” (Matthew 8:5-9 ISV)

The captain in the above scripture must have been hearing Jesus’ words, but on this particular situation, he needed the right word that is meant for the situation. God has a word for every sickness and when you spend time discovering it, your healing will be permanent and instant. I have received word prescriptions in different situations by paying attention to the word of God through the Holy Spirit.

  1. Get illuminated:

After you have received the word for your health challenge, the next step is to get illuminated by it. Meditate (think) on the word until it brings illumination. Visualize your situation bowing to the power of the word.

  1. Believe and Keep Confessing it:

The final step after you have been illuminated by the word prescribed is to believe and confess it. Instead of confessing your symptoms, you confess the revealed word of God. It is wrong to be engaging the word of God and confess your symptoms at the same time.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10 KJV)

Just like salvation, healing comes when you confess the word. That is the way to word medication. I see God healing you from all forms of health affliction in Jesus name. It is your time to choose health.

Success and failure are products of choice. Neither failure nor success comes by accident. When it comes to the issue of success or failure, sitting on the fence is not possible. Indecision and procrastination are choices that points to failure in life.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and your poverty will come on you like a bandit and your desperation like an armed man. (Proverbs 6:10-11 ISV)

The will of God for you is success and to enjoy it, you must make it a priority choice. After the death of Moses, God commissioned Joshua to take over the leadership of the Israelites. God gave Joshua the best take-off grant anyone could get. He said; “…*Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you,] _as I said unto Moses. [_*There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Joshua 1:3,5 KJV).

But God did not guarantee the establishment of these great declarations without a responsibility for Joshua. Here is what He said; “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8 KJV).

What God was trying to let Joshua know is that good success, though promised by God (who can never lie) cannot be actualized unless you choose it. And for Joshua to choose good success, he must read and meditate on the law (word) of God day and night; and pay attention to do according to all that is written in it.

I like you to understand that success does not come by mere prayer. If good success is a product of prayer, many Christians would have been successful. But since success is a thing of choice coupled with responsibilities, many Christians are falling short of it.

There are many so called prayerful Christian all over the places who are failing in every area of their lives because they choose not to be responsible. The bible is not just a book of knowledge, but a book of responsibilities for anyone who wants to go higher in life. Keep on being obedient to the word, and not merely being hearers who deceive themselves. (James 1:22 ISV).

Prosperity is a product of obedience to God’s principles controlling it. If you are praying and you are not a giver, wealth will never come to you. So also, your giving will not yield any result if your life is not honouring God. God’s way of prosperity is based on partnership and trust. He blesses you, so that you can be a blessing and you won’t receive His blessing if you are lazy.

[] Marital success is a choice

Blissful and lasting marriage is not a product of accident; it is made possible by making right choices. There is a path that leads to divorce and there is a path that leads to bliss in marriage. According to the infallible instructions of God: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Ephesians 5:22-25 KJV).

A man cannot love his wife like Christ loved the Church until he has made the decision to do it. Loving your wife will hurt your feelings sometimes because love is sacrificial, and sacrifice hurts. The price of love is what a man must pay if he wants a home that will stand the test of time. You can’t pretend to love, it won’t last. Love must originate from a regenerated heart.

So also, a woman cannot build a strong home without the choice to submit. I have come to realize that that most women of today would rather their husbands submit to them than they submitting to their husbands.

This is against the scripture. Men are not commanded to submit to their wives, it is the wife that should submit to her husband in all things. This also will hurt the woman’s feeling. You cannot claim to submit to your husband if it’s not hurting you. But it is the right choices to a blissful home.

[] Career success is a choice

Businesses that thrive have a man at the helm of affairs making right decisions. Most business or career fails largely to wrong choices. This ranges from choice of location, partner, employees and policies. Those who succeed in career and business are those who choose the path of adequate and relevant knowledge, by being open to learning. When you stop learning, you start dying. Success is built on a lifetime pursuit of relevant information as it relates to your purpose and vision.

By wisdom a house is built; it is made secure through understanding. By knowledge its rooms are furnished with all sorts of expensive and beautiful goods. (Proverbs 24:3-4 ISV)

If you want to succeed in your career, you must be up-to-date in relevant information. You must choose to seek knowledge on current happening in your field. If you are called into ministry, you must choose to settle down with the word of God, anointed books and CDs and prayer.

Time is one of the most precious gifts that God gave you. Therefore, for you to succeed, you must choose to invest it wisely. Carefully plan your day to day activities by choosing to do things that move you closer to your desired destination. Choose your friends wisely, wrong friends are time waster. Don’t allow friends to choose you, take the lead by choosing who your friends should be according to the purpose of God for your life.

[] To succeed, you must choose to be focused

As the king was passing by, he cried out to the king and told him, “Your servant went out into the middle of the battle, and a soldier turned aside, brought a prisoner to me, and told me, ‘Guard this man. If he turns up missing for any reason at all, you’ll pay for it with your life or be fined 75 pounds of silver.’ While your servant was busy here and there, the prisoner escaped.” The king told him, “By your actions you’ve earned the proper judgment!” (1 Kings 20:39-40 ISV)

The choice of focus is the key that makes success possible. There is one thing that God has destined you to accomplish in your lifetime. It is your responsibility to discover it and pursue it. You don’t have the time luxury to attempt everything. Those who focus on everything never achieve anything. If you aim everywhere, you will find it difficult to arrive anywhere.

Whatever your purpose is in life deserve to be approached first before other things. Many people spend the best part of their lives pursuing other people’s dream without any attention to their dreams. You can never experience fulfillment outside God’s purpose for your life.

The fear of failure often make lots of people despise their days of little beginning. Every great venture starts small and increase by wise choices. Our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ was given birth to in a manger. The bible says; “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”. (Job 8:7 KJV). But for it to happen, you must make the choice of being focused on your purpose.

Determine to be focused and watch your life experience tremendous success.

Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14 ISV)

Peace is a scarce commodity everywhere because men choose war, arguments and disagreements over peace. We need peace in our lives, our homes, our nation and world at large. But we will not experience peace unless we embrace the peace of Christ.

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give {and} bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] (John 14:27 AMP).

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) and He is the only one who can give the inner peace that guarantee family, community and world peace. There is no amount of summits on peace that will birth peace in any nation.

Everyone needs peace; every family needs peace; and every nation needs peace. Where peace is, there is always progress and all forms of positive developments. Confusion brings stagnation and all forms of disappointment.

You need peace to live a productive life; you need peace to have a successful marriage and your nation needs peace to progress. Open your heart to Jesus today and He will flood you with His peace.

If every family will embrace the prince of peace, divorce and domestic violence will naturally fade out. You will experience a crisis free career or business life if you will allow the Prince of Peace to dominate your life. Today marks a new beginning in your life. Choose to have the Prince of Peace in your life and tell the whole world about Him.

Lord Jesus,

I come to You today, I need your help, I need You in my life. Come into my life and transform me.

Forgive me my sins and wash me with Your precious blood.

I give You my heart, my soul and all that I am. Use me for Your glory and let Your peace that goes far beyond anything that I can imagine, guard my heart and mind in union with You. Amen.
