For those who keep on going – eventually they get to see an incredible joy in memory of moments happily sketching new reality.
A Quick Sketch Fetch (A Poetry Stretch)
A Quick Stretch Memory
A quick flight energy
simply now to see
All that’s new to me
A quick moment to despair
‘What will I ‘er put there’
A quick time just to see
the rudimentary,
an elementary force
to sketch without source
of reason and then
stretch to a brand new
season
Time to learn anew
all the things that can come through
Release the critic in you
‘Adieu, adieu, adieu’
(that’s probably enough of you…
you weren’t helping much, were you?)
That regimented pew
of disdain accrue
only when you’re too
ordered to let go,
but it’s time to show
you are now in open flow
A quick stretch
A final fetch
of pure sunshine
when the world is mine,
I openly incline
to full-on harvest time
to reap so many thoughts
and have juggled all the thwarts
of imagination – welcome
to a soul creation
an open force and
live sensation
just to push on through
by sketching live
is what I do
and in a single sitting,
oh how hard you’re pitting
to give it one good go
and push once more to open
flow
delicacy, a winged play of ecstasy
when the sun captures me
open to reality that can hum
anew with a simple sketch I do
so play your colours true,
release the inner artist in you
and play your colours bold
go beyond what you were told
and play your colours bright
all now to new sense alight
and in a flight of fantasy
a simple sketch I see
means to so much to me
and all the other stuff
hardly means so much
a simple touch on paper
a simple hold of hand
and you start to sketch
what your heart command:
a simple sense of going
a simple sense of flowing
in a moment true
that’s now alive in you
and when you start accrue
the odd sketch or two
you’ll simply start to laugh
at the delightful things you craft
so just give it a go
the artist always show
what leads to greater flow
and helps you then to know
a grander, greater show
(than all those “I told you so”)

Inner critic
now just pit it hard
release into a shard
life’s final card
a joyful little bard.
When the cat sat on the mat - it never thought of that - it just took a look - the simple message that it took (just to get unstuck): 'just give it all a go - if you want to experience flow' - what else is there to know: just one-two-three, now show what it's like to be: back in open flow, enjoying the moment as it show better ways to.
