Find Me At

For the past few days, weeks and years, I have been toying with the idea of publishing a poetry book. I have been doing my research, searching the web, playing with word formats and reading books, but nothing really got done. Nothing was being created, until now.

Not only do I dream of writing a book that is so awesome that it becomes so successful that, I make a million bucks off of it and am propelled into a whole other level of life. I also dream that I write something that can help and inspire others. Inspire them to write poetry themselves, to create a book themselves, or just spark something wonderful enough to create something.

I am not 100% sure just yet so I am doing a test run, and am making free. It’s a sampler book, of what’s to come, what could come, and give a feel for how I format my poetry. After, this book, I plan to price most of my books at one dollar.

So, here it is. My first published poetry book. Enjoy the free book!

h2=. Creating

Creating something

New is fun. Sharing it, is

Scary. Please be kind.

h2=. A Haiku About Haiku

So much can be said

In 17 syllables

And 3 little lines.

h2=. Freeform Haiku

Freeform haiku

17 syllables

any way

you wish.

Pencils and Post-its

h2=. Poetry fills

Fills the void

Craves unstructured sentences,

Pretty words.

h2<>. Free Verse is Freedom

Free verse is

My absolute favorite.

No regards

Sentence structure or length,

Punctuation is at my command

Are eloquently placed in lengthy sentences alongside rarely used melodic adjectives to describe the complex myriadic emotions of life.

Things are short and sweet.

It’s all about my pen

What feels interesting to write in the moment.

h2<>. It’s what I do in the Middle of the Night

When everyone’s asleep

And the sound of the sprinklers goes off

I awake

To the peaceful sounds

Of my loved ones sleeping.

I like to sneak out of bed

Step outside

And stare at the stars.

I try to remember

All the other times

I’ve stared at the stars

And get lost in remembering memories.

It’s what I do in the middle of the night,

The book that inspired the prompts and poems.

7.You Are in The Motel Room

I put miles

Myself and home.

Everything that means something to me

Is in the small bag on the bed.

I sit on the edge of the bed and stare at myself in the large mirror above the table in the taupe color room.

“I truly did it,” she thought as she stared.

“I left, and now I can’t go back.”

Why she did it was becoming fuzzy and selfish, but she shook the oncoming feeling off

And said

“what’s done is done and I can’t go back

Only forward.

8.Write About a Time Someone Said “No.”.

No has been said to those who ask for help

No has been said to those who ask for change to eat

No has been said to those who stand out in the sun all day, holding a sign asking for money.

No has been said to the student who has good grades but not the money for college.

No has been said to the poet who just wants to make an honest buck and take care of her family.

9.Write About a Wand

My pen is my wand

It helps me think

And release stress.

It helps me create

A magick

I want to share

With the world

Or those

Who want to read.

10.A Year After Your Death

Loved ones, will have mourned

Your memory will be nothing

But a memory.

Your absence, will be replaced

Your possessions, will become

Someone else’s

You’ll just be gone

And the world

Will be fine with that.

Concluding Essay

This is it the end of this trail. Yea, I purposely put the end of Route 66 as my last picture. I still need to take a road trip on Route 66, hmm…a possible poetry book idea!

I really hope this turns out to be a successful test run and everyone is intrigued enough to spend just one dollar, one dollar on my next book, and maybe a few more

Thank You Everyone!.

Thank Yous

I want to thank Judy Reeves for creating her wonderful book Writers Book of Days. Most of the poems I wrote in this book were inspired by her book. It’s such a wonderful book. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be a writer.

I want to thank my Sweetie Husband for being by my side and taking me on this crazy journey of life, this wouldn’t be possible without you!

I want to thank my two crazy kids who remind me every day that the power of patience is the most important power to possess.

I want to thank my family for giving me memories to dwell upon and compel me to write.

I want to thank my parents for being pro-life, is they had chosen otherwise then I would definitely not be here today.

1$ Poetry Book: The Test Run Edition

This free poetry is a sample of my poetry, my poetry style, and a peek at the inspiration I use to write my poetry. It is the intention that this book opens the possibility of creating even more books in the future. All poems are created by me, 100%. The pictures are pulled from my Instagram page and no where else. I am the writer, photographer, creator, editor and everything in between. The world needs more original work and well this is to help fuel that limited supply, if not jump-start others and myself to put original work in the world.
