I believe in the writer in you. You are the next author who will publish a bestseller. You have the idea that will make all writers think “why didn’t I think of that?” or “that was one awesome idea of a book!”. Publishers will request you to give them the exclusive rights to publish your books. Maybe there will be a film adaptation. Then money will flow in from everywhere that you will finally say “I am a successful writer and a fulfilled author”. Where is your first book now? In failing to start writing a book, there is a stimulus that prevents you to start to write or to continue writing. That stimulus is already in your head. It is there --- in the deep corner of your brain swimming with all the ideas and concepts you have for your book. What it does is to create an emotional reaction if the stimulus is triggered. In this book, common frustrations of “authors-to-be” is discussed and practical ways to address them. Distractions? Roadblocks? Distractions and roadblocks can either be a short-term halt to your writing process, or a long hiatus that disables you to write anything at all. Some are external factors, but most of them are internal to the author. Sometimes there are changes in the personal circumstances of the author that requires reassessment of the subsequent condition and aligning it to the author’s plan in the future Knowing the different distractions and roadblocks gives the author the advantage of heading towards the book writing battle in full gear.
