Preface

As every individual was introduced into this world, so would every individual experience the life thereafter life on the earth. What must I do to have eternal life? Is there really life after death? What happens to those who die? And what is going to happen to me when I die?

These are questions every individual must think about. I believe one of the reasons why the Lord Jesus Christ put it in my heart to write this book is to have the ability to share the revelations, insights and understandings that the Holy Spirit has given me through my quiet times and through the years of learning from my father Bishop Dag Heward- Mills.

I believe that as you carefully consider the wisdom in this book, may the Holy Spirit give you understanding so you will be able to make an informed decision about where you would spend eternity not out of ignorance but out of truths you have discovered out of the Word of God.

It is my wish that you will encounter Jesus Christ personally and find salvation in Christ Jesus if you are not already saved as you read this book. If you are already a believer, that you will gain deeper understanding in your Christian faith, have a solid foundation in this subject and grow in your relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Dedication

I dedicate this book to Rev Felix Kumi Okine and Mrs Rebecca Kumi Okine; my biological parents who brought me up, created a wonderful home for me, allowed me to grow up in church and encouraged me to grow up in the Word of God. Thank you daddy and mummy for the wonderful privilege of growing up in a spiritual home.

Chapter 1

What Is Eternal Life?

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Luke 18:18

Eternal life is real and so is eternal death, heaven is real and so is hell, but what is more real to humanity is the reality of death; because it is with us daily. Life continues after death, and where you will live and spend eternity after your death on earth depends entirely on you, your decisions and the choices you make while you are yet alive on earth.

So choose wisely……

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.

Deuteronomy 30:19

14 Definitions of Eternal Life

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:15

The word “eternal life” is the Greek word “aiōnios zoe” which can be interpreted as;

1. Perpetual life.

2. Continuous life.

3. Life without death.

4. Life forever.

5. Everlasting life.

6. Absolute life.

7. Lasting life.

8. Life existing always.

9. Endless period of life.

10. Infinite life.

11. Life without end.

12. A place given to us by God.

13. The gift of God to us through Jesus Christ.

14. The promise of God to His children.

The scriptures clearly states that there is another life to live after our lives on earth is done. Life is not limited by your existence on earth, there is another world to come; our Lord Jesus Christ describes this reality to his disciples.

And Jesus answered and said, verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Mark 10:29-30

Jesus Christ reveals in this passage of scripture two unique descriptions;

i. The world to come.

ii. Eternal life.

It is also very interesting to note that in the world to come you can have either of two options;

i. Eternal life.

ii. Eternal death.

One thing our Lord Jesus Christ assures us from this scripture is that His disciples are guaranteed “eternal life” in the world to come. Are you a believer? Are you are true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ or not? If you are, then you are assured of receiving “eternal life” after your life on earth is done. Hallelujah! Amen!

If you are not sure whether you are a disciple or not then it’s very possible that you are not. Why do I say so? This is because the disciple is identified by three unique identifiers;

i. His ability to hear the voice of Jesus Christ.

ii. His ability to know and have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

iii. His ability to follow diligently the Lord Jesus Christ.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

John 10:27-28

A true disciple of Jesus Christ will receive eternal life and will never perish. Clearly the Lord Jesus Christ himself puts differences between disciples and non- disciples, between those who serve the Him and those who don’t and just put on a religious façade.

From today, you can also become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and be guaranteed of never perishing and also receiving eternal life. Become a disciple today!

3 Unique Ways Of Becoming A Disciple

1. Develop the ability to hear the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Develop an ability to follow Jesus Christ by doing the works of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 2

21 Reasons Why You Need Eternal Life

1. Because the other alternative is eternal death, eternal condemnation and eternal perishing.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Mark 16:16

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:15

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:18

2. Because there is Judgement on this world and on unbelievers and the only way you can escape the Judgement of God is to accept eternal life through Jesus Christ.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Malachi 4:1

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mathew 24:29-31

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:10

3. In Eternal life you can enter into the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Mathew 25:21

4. In Eternal life you can be made a ruler of many things.

His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Mathew 25:21

5. In Eternal life there is neither crying nor anything to cause you to cry.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

6. In Eternal life there is neither sorrow nor anything to cause sorrow.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Can you believe it? There is no sorrow in heaven. Wow, why then wouldn’t everyone want to be there? I think it’s because many do not believe and many do not know about this great opportunity. If you are reading this book, be a witness; tell others that there is a place of no sorrows.

7. In Eternal life there is neither pain nor anything to cause you pain.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

I believe the obvious question is; “is this really true or you are joking?” If it is true, why wouldn’t everyone want to be in such a place where there is no pain? I am sure many women would be very happy about this news. I say this because many women experience pain of being heart broken, depressed, being forgotten, the pain of being treated differently, pain in child bearing, etc.

8. In eternal life your former experiences are passed away, everything is new.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

What? Are you sure? Are you really telling me that there is a place where all the things I am experiencing now will be non-existent? Tell me you are joking?

This is the expression many will have upon hearing this great news. No matter your earthly status, your wealth, your victories, your troubles, your poverty, your difficulties, your health problems, etc. you will not go through the experiences you went through on earth.

9. In Eternal life there will be no more hunger.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

Revelations 7:16

One of the difficulties in this world is the vast number of people who cannot afford a healthy meal a day. Majority of the world is hungry, especially people in the third world countries. The great news is that there is a place called “eternal life” where there is no mention of hunger. Now go tell them….Go announce this great news.

10. In Eternal life there will be no more thirst.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

Revelations 7:16

What do you use to quench your thirst? Different people use different things to quench their thirst; but commonly, water is used to quench most thirst. There is a place called “eternal life” where you not need to quench your thirst, you wouldn’t even thirst anymore.

11. In Eternal life the Sun shall no more smite you anymore.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun smith on them, nor any heat.

Revelations 7:16

What really does this mean? Does it mean that there wouldn’t be the existence of any Sun? Or we will be shielded for the effects of the Sun but however it applies; the scriptures promise us that in eternal life the Sun will not have any terrible and damaging effects on us. This is definitely a place to be…

12. In Eternal life the heat will not smite you.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun smith on them, nor any heat.

Revelations 7:16

This promise would really be appreciated by people who live in the tropics and in India where the heat is eminent. Those who also live in the hot desert climate of Saharan Africa; the hot semi-arid climate of the Sahel and the tropical climate of Central and Western Africa would also appreciate the blessing of this promise.

The most common effect of heat waves on the horizon is heat exhaustion which is a relatively common reaction to severe heat and can include symptoms such as dizziness, headache, fainting and bleeding of the nose. It is amazing that in eternal life, we will have the best temperature conditions.

13. In Eternal life the Lamb of God Himself will feed you.

Often, I hear people asking “What will we eat in eternal life? Will we even eat over there? What types of foods are there?” I want you to understand that in eternal life, the scriptures indicate that Jesus Christ the Lamb of God Himself will feed us.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelations 7:17

14. In Eternal life you will be under the leadership of Jesus Christ; the Lamb of God Himself.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelations 7:17

In eternal life, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself will be our President, He will be our Leader and we will enjoy His leadership and flourish under His dominion.

15. In Eternal life you will experience fountains of waters that give life.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelations 7:17

For the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Revelations 7:17 ASV

This depicts beautiful scenery in eternal life; there would be “the fountains of living waters”. These are fountains whose waters refresh you.

16. In Eternal life God will wipe away all your tears.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelations 7:17

This is very encouraging, for God Himself will wipe away all your tears in your eyes is a very wonderful and amazing thing. It is an expression of love. Your tears are the expression of your struggles, your pain, your discomfort, your losses, your disappointments, your heartbreaks, your sicknesses, etc.

Life on earth is mostly full of trouble, pain distressing situations but there is a place where all these challenges and difficulties are non-existent and you must make it your aim to have eternal life.

17. In Eternal life you will be arrayed in white robes.

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelations 7:9

What are we going to wear in eternal life? White robes are the types of clothes we will be wearing. I believe white denotes pureness and purity.

18. In Eternal life, it will be like an international gathering of all nations.

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelations 7:9

Eternal life is open and available to everyone throughout the world. Everyone who is registered and whose name is written in the book of Life will be in this international gathering. Don’t be left out?

19. Being in Eternal life means you would have escaped the great tribulation.

……….And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelations 7:14

The scriptures relate that there is going to be great tribulation in these last days. Having access to eternal life means that you have escaped the great tribulation that is on-going and which would go worse. The economic situation is going to go worse and worse, so your ticket to eternal life is your divine escape from such great tribulation.

20. In Eternal life you will have the opportunity to stand before the throne of God.

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelations 7:9

21. In Eternal life, you shall have the opportunity to serve God day and night.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Revelations 7:15

Chapter 3

31 Practical Ways To Receive Eternal Life

1. By believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

2. By being a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ unto the end.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mark 13:13

3. By being a believer who is baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:16

4. By calling on Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:21

5. By believing that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:9-10

6. By being a Christian who obeys the will of God confirmed in the Holy Scriptures.

And he said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mathew 19:17

7. By receiving the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ the Son of God.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mathew 25:46

The Lord Jesus Christ becomes our righteousness once we believe in Him and accept the salvation that is given us through His name.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

1 Corinthians 1:30

8. By giving up everything to follow Jesus Christ.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mark 10:21

9. By becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Who then is a disciple? A disciple is anyone who receives Jesus Christ as his Lord. A disciple is any Christian who takes up “his own cross” which is his personal responsibility of making sure he follows and accomplishes the will of God given through Jesus Christ. A disciple is anyone who has the ability to leave everything behind in order to follow Jesus Christ.

By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to share ill treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; accounting the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he looked unto the recompense of reward.

Hebrews 11:24-26

10. By striving to find and enter into the straight gate by the narrow way in time before the opportunity closes and you are rejected.

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Luke 13:24-28

The scripture compares entering into eternal life with fighting to enter into a straight gate by a narrow way. Why is that so? I believe this is because the gate and the road to eternal life will not be opened forever; there is a time frame for you to make a decision. If your decision is made too late, though you call on the master, you will still not enter and have access to eternal life

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mathew 7:14

11. By loving the Lord Jesus Christ who is God.

And he answering said, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Luke 10:27-28

Love is the greatest gift, the greatest tool and gives us the greatest access to anything. The scriptures describe love as stronger as death. Loving the Lord Jesus Christ qualifies you to eternal life. Apostle Paul describes this in the scripture below;

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

12. By becoming a servant and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

John 12:26

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mathew 19:28

13. By making Jesus Christ and the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ your goal and your priority.

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s; but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Mark 10:29-30

14. By becoming “a sheep” of the good Shepherd the Lord Jesus Christ.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Mathew 25:32-34

15. By being a Christian who does not commit adultery.

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

Mark 10:17, 19

16. By being a Christian who does not commit murder.

17. By being a Christian who does not steal.

18. By being a Christian who does not bear false witness.

19. By becoming a Christian who is not fraudulent.

20. By becoming a Christian who Honours his father and mother.

21. By being a Christian who gives to and takes care of the poor.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mark 10:21

22. By making a conscious decision to follow Jesus Christ regardless of your status.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, one thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mark 10:21

23. By loving the Lord with all your Heart.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And he said unto him, what is written in the law? How readest thou? And he answering said, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Luke 10:25-28

24. By loving the Lord with all your Soul.

The soul is the source of emotions; it is the source of sentiments, feelings, and the source of our character. Therefore, we ought to love the Lord with all our emotions, feelings, and everything that defines us.

25. By loving the Lord with all your Strength.

Youthfulness always defines strength; thus loving the Lord with all your strength is loving the Lord from your youth and during the days of your strength and physical ability. The love and strength of young people is very different and is also expressed differently from the love and strength of older people. Regardless of your age, you are still required to love the Lord with your strength.

26. By loving the Lord with all your Mind.

The mind is the intellectual faculty and the thinking cap of an individual. The mind also harbours all your imaginations, ideas and your thoughts. God expects you to serve him with your intelligence. Don’t think you are too intelligent for God.

27. By Being Christians who express the love of God towards others.

28. By being a Christian who believes in and participates in the Holy Communion.

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:54

29. To know the only true God through Jesus Christ His Son whom He has sent.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

John 17:3

30. By accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5:11

31. By receiving the words of Jesus Christ, you will have eternal life.

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.

John 6:68

Chapter 4

25 Characteristics of The Kingdom of God

Eternal life is lived with God our heavenly Father and with His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Our Lord Jesus Christ described eternal life as a place where he lives; he also described eternal life as his father’s house where he lived.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:1-3

1. The Kingdom of God is a place where rich people can hardly gain entrance into.

And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Mathew 19:24

2. The Kingdom of God is a place where politicians and harlots can gain entrance into when they repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

Jesus saith unto them, verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Mathew 21:31-32

3. The Kingdom of God is a place where you need to show your fruits worthy of the Kingdom before you can gain entrance into.

Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Mathew 21:43

Christians should be aware that one can lose his citizenship because of the lack of fruits worthy of the Kingdom and another can gain entrance by just bearing fruits worthy of the Kingdom. It’s not enough to be a Christian; you must be a fruitful Christian.

4. The Kingdom of God is a place which has a very short time span to access it.

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mark 1:14-15

Make sure you repent and believe in time!

5. The Kingdom of God is a place of mystery.

And he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Mark 4:11

6. The Kingdom of God can be described as a seed sown into the ground; it cannot be seen but soon enough it appears.

And he said, so is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Mark 4:26-29

7. The Kingdom of God is described as a place of residence for many.

And he said, whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: but when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

Mark 4:30-32

8. The Kingdom of God is described as very insignificant to many but it becomes the greatest place in significance.

9. The Kingdom of God is described as a powerful Kingdom that is also revealed with power.

…………till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Mark 9:1

10. The Kingdom of God is described as the best alternative place to Hell fire.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Mark 9:47

11. The Kingdom of God is also a place for children.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:14

I have often heard the question being asked “what happens to children when they die?” “When children die where would they go? Heaven or Hell?” Our Lord Jesus Christ once said that all children who are allowed to come to Him will receive the Kingdom of God. Have you introduced your children to Jesus Christ?

12. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where you need the attitude of a Child to access it.

Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Mark 10:15

13. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where those who trust in riches can hardly gain entrance.

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Mark 10:24

14. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where you can be far from or close to.

And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God….

Mark 12:34

15. The Kingdom of God is also described as a place for poor people.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke 6:20

16. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where you can either be great or small regardless of your status on earth.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mathew 5:19

17. The power of the Kingdom of God is demonstrated on earth by the Healing of the sick.

And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

Luke 9:11

18. The Kingdom of God is described as a place fit for only those who are highly committed to it.

And Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:62

19. The Kingdom of God can have effect on you the same way leaven has significant effect on meals.

And again he said, whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

Luke 13:20-21

Leaven is described as a rising agent such as yeast, baking powder, etc. which causes dough to rise. Leaven transforms and improves significantly any meal though it is applied in small quantities so the entrance of the Kingdom of God would improve the life of any person in a very significant way.

20. The Kingdom of God can be likened unto a man who has prepared a great supper and has sent out invitation to everyone.

And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God. But he said unto him, a certain man made a great supper; and he bade many.

Luke 14:15-16

21. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where everyone can “press in” to gain entrance.

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Luke 16:16

The word “presseth” is the Greek work “biazo” which means;

a. To be forceful

b. To be persist stent

c. To use necessary violence to achieve something

d. To push yourself into something

I am glad to announce this good news; entrance into the Kingdom of God does not depend on your status on earth, your family, your riches, your background, your poverty or how connected you are, etc. You can “biazo” yourself into the kingdom of God.

22. The Kingdom of God can be expressed within an individual.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said; the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Luke 17:20

Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of God can be expressed within a person. When you have truly repented and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour and you are filled with the precious Holy Spirit; you have a blessed assurance within yourself that you have access to eternal life. You can manifest the goodness of the Kingdom of God within you.

23. The Kingdom of God is a place which can only be seen by those who are born again.

Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:3

24. The Kingdom of God is described as a place where ONLY those who are born of water and the Spirit can enter into.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:5

25. The Kingdom of God is described as a place which takes much tribulation to enter.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 14:22

Tribulation is the Greek word “thlipsis” which can be interpreted as;

a. Pressures

b. Afflictions

c. Burden

d. Anguish

e. Persecution

f. Tribulation

g. Troubles

The obvious question then is, “why must it take much affliction to enter into the kingdom of God?” Why must it be so difficult to enter into the Kingdom of God?

7 Reasons Why It Takes Much Difficulty To Enter Into The Kingdom Of God

1. Because the Kingdom of God is not of this world nor is it in this world.

Jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

John 18:36

2. Because the way into the Kingdom of God is a very straight and narrow road and many will not find it.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mathew 7:14

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

The road into the Kingdom of God is unfortunately only ONE WAY, ONE NARRROW PATH AND ONLY THROUGH ONE STRAIGHT GATE; that is through Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.

No other way and no other person can take you into the Kingdom of God but ONLY Jesus Christ and this is the reason why many will not find the way. Others are seeking so many other ways and are lost. This is why we must preach the word, this is why every Christian must tell the world that Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth and the only one with eternal life.

3. Because Jesus Christ said that not all people will believe that He is the only way into the Kingdom of God.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

Mark 16:16

4. Because Men love darkness rather than light.

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

John 3:19

5. It is difficult because the Kingdom of God requires you to produce fruits worthy of it before you can enter therein.

Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Mathew 21:43

Many will be surprised that they will not gain entrance to the Kingdom of God because they don’t have any fruits worthy of the Kingdom. A true Christian is identified by his fruits as our Lord Jesus Christ clearly stated.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mathew 7:20-23

6. Because many people think they are “good enough” in their own eyes and see no need for Salvation.

Not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:5-7

It is difficult to believe that many “good” people will still go to hell. Many who have achieved various “works done in righteousness” whatever those works might be will still not be able to make it into the Kingdom of God.

We are ONLY saved and we will ONLY gain entrance into the Kingdom of God because of the mercy of God shown unto us through the blood of Jesus Christ and renewing of the Holy Spirit NOT by our deeds of righteousness.

7. Because many people cannot believe that Kingdom of God can only gained through the preaching of the Gospel of Salvation.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

1Corinthians 1:21 ASV

Chapter 5

The Different Sections In Eternal life

Where Would You Reside In The Kingdom of God?

Gaining access into eternal life will be a good achievement; if you successfully make it into eternal life after your life on earth is done, it would mean you have escaped the damnation, judgements and destruction of the wicked people in Hell.

The journey doesn’t end when you gain access into eternal life; there are various destinations, various provinces and various regions in the father’s house. Arriving into eternal life is like arriving at any airport; no body lives at the airport, you must travel to a specific address.

Our Lord Jesus Christ shows us a brief window into eternity and the various residences therein.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:1-3

The phrase “many mansions” is the Greek word “polos mon-ay’” which can be literally translated as;

a. Many staying places

b. Many residences

c. Many abiding places

d. Many mansions

e. Many Regions

f. Many Sections

Further on, our Lord Jesus from the scripture above clearly states that one of the many reasons why He had to go back to His father after His resurrection was to “prepare a place” for the inheritors of eternal life.

The word “to prepare” as indicated in the scripture above is the Greek word “hetoimazō” which referrers to;

a. The preparation of a place

b. The construction of a site

c. The making ready of a location

d. The provision of necessary materials

e. The preparation for occupancy

Our Lord Jesus Christ makes it very clear what He was going to prepare; He was going to prepare “a place” for those who are able to make it into His “Father’s house”. The English description of the term “a place” is the Greek word “topos” which literally means;

a. A location

b. An occupancy

c. A home

d. A locality

e. A plain for settlement

Every Christian must therefore understand that gaining access into eternal life is not the end; we must all strive to reside at the best places in the Kingdom of God. Interestingly, our position in eternal life or where we would reside is dependent on our earthly activities aimed at promoting the Kingdom of God.

The 3 Main Provinces In The Kingdom of God

1. The Throne of His Glory Province

This is the region that holds the seat of power in the Kingdom of God in eternal life. It is where the throne of God is and where the throne of the Lamb of God is situated. Not every Christian would be privileged to live in this section in eternal life; some will and some won’t.

Will you qualify to live in this region or you will be in the other regions beyond “the throne of His glory”? What will qualify some and disqualify others?

10 Unique Characteristics Of The Throne Of His Glory Province

i. It is reserved for those Christians who have paid the ultimate price in discipleship; forsaking all to follow Jesus Christ completely. The highest price for the highest glory.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mathew 19:27-28

ii. It is reserved for those Christians who were able to overcome all the obstacles and hindrances preventing the servants of God to love, serve and obey God completely to the end.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Revelations 3:21

iii. This is the province that resides the 24 elders who are part of the seat of governance, power and authority in the Kingdom of God.

And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Revelations 4:4

iv. This is the region that hosts the 7 spirits of God.

And out of the throne proceeded lightning’s and thundering’s and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelations 4:5

v. This section enjoys an all-round security and protection from the 4 beasts with eyes before and behind them.

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelations 4:6-8

vi. This province has one of the nicest sight-seeing’s in eternal life; the pure and crystal clear river who’s water gives life.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Revelations 22:1

vii. This province has a very unique feature; the tree of life which bears 12 different fruits every month.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelations 22:2

viii. This unique tree of life has special leaves which carry a very special healing virtue.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelations 22:2

ix. In eternal life, it is only the servants of God who reside in the “throne of His glory” province will see the face of God and the Lamb of God. Those in the other regions will not be as privileged.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelations 22:3-4

x. In this region in eternal life, the glory of the Lord God Himself will give them light forever and ever.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto me, these sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Revelations 22:5-6

2. The Joy of your Lord’s Province.

His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Mathew 25:21

Firstly, the Joy of your Lord’s province is a particular section in the Kingdom of God where Christians who have demonstrated an undying faithfulness to God during their lifetime on earth will reside. The two main tickets to enter into the Joy of your Lord’s province are;

a. Being a good servant of God

b. Being a faithful servant of God

Secondly, the Joy of your Lord’s province will also be the residence reserved for Christians who have been rewarded with the honour of being “a ruler over many things” in the Kingdom of God by the Lord Jesus Christ. The main requirement to become a resident of this section of the Kingdom of God is;

a. Being faithful servant over few things

Thirdly, the Joy of your Lord’s province will be a “place of true riches” for Christians who have demonstrated faithfulness to God and to the advancement of the Kingdom of God with the money, wealth, affluence and the influence that God gave them during their lifetime on earth.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Luke 16:11-12

3. The Regions of Outer darkness.

His lord answered and said unto him, thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mathew 25:26-30

The region of outer darkness is the province that will reside four categories of Christians who are able to gain entrance into eternal life;

5 Groups of Christians Who Will Be In The Regions Of Outer Darkness

i. Wicked Christians- Christians who do nothing for God after they are saved.

ii. Slothful or lazy Christians- Christians who are too lazy to use their gifts and talents for God.

iii. Christians who have no spiritual fruits- Christians whose spiritual life never yield any fruits for God.

iv. Unprofitable Christians- Christians who waste the gifts, talents and the callings of God over their life.

v. Christians without eternal fruits- Christians whose lives work have no spiritual or eternal benefits. Christians who are earthly minded and only have their investments on earth.

The Joy of your Lord’s province will be a “place of true riches” for Christians who will reside there whiles “the regions of outer darkness” will be a place described as “weeping and gnashing of teeth”. The expression of “weeping and gnashing of teeth” describes;

a. A place where you will live in regret.

b. A place full of remorse.

c. A place of self-blame.

d. A place far from the “place of true riches”.

e. A place of absolute regret.

Having received such a great insight into eternal life and what will happen in the Kingdom of God, every Christian must be wise and work towards achieving the best rewards in eternity. Apostle Paul in his remarks to the Christians in Ephesians advised them to;

a. Awake out of their inactivity.

b. Walk and conduct their lives as wise Christians.

c. Make the best use of the time that God has given them on earth.

d. Understand what the will of the Lord Jesus is for their lives and fulfil it.

Wherefore he saith, awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:14-17

Furthermore, the writer of Hebrews also advises Christians to do four major things so as to obtain the best rewards in eternal life.

a. Lay aside every weight that inhibits us from achieving the best rewards in eternity.

b. Lay aside the sin which will prevent us from making it into eternal life.

c. Run with patience our individual race that is set before us.

d. Set our focus and fix our gaze on unto Jesus Christ so we are not distracted for our heavenly goals.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Romans 2:7-8

15. Those who continue to fight “the good fight of faith” in order to lay hold on eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

1Timothy 6:12

16. Rich people who trust in God through Christ Jesus.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for them-selves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1Timothy 6:17-19

Rich and wealthy Christians are required to do certain specific functions so as to guarantee their place in eternal life.

7 Qualifications Needed For Rich People To Enter Into Eternal Life

i. Rich Christians are to be good people.

ii. Rich Christians are to be actively involved in activities considered as “good works”.

iii. Rich Christians are advised not to be proud or high-minded; looking down on people.

iv. Rich Christians must not put their trust in their wealth for riches are unpredictable but trust in God.

v. Rich Christians must always be ready to give out and be a blessing to others. Not stingy.

vi. Rich Christians must be willing to give; not only ready but must be willing to give.

vii. Rich Christians must be able to lay a good foundation of their spiritual lives.

Mark 10:14

18. Poor people

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke 6:20

19. Politicians and Prostitutes who believe and repent.

Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first.

20. Thieves and murderers who believe and repent.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:39-43

21. Those who ask for forgiveness of sins and are washed with the blood of the Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelations 7:14

I believe this signifies the people who acknowledge their sins before God, ask for the mercy, pleads for forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. Jesus Christ shows us an example;

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luke 18:9-14

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1John 1:7-9

Chapter 8

Why Some Christians Will Be Disqualified or Rejected

A. Because of the Hidden Works of Darkness

This subject must be a very concerning subject to everyone who calls himself a Christian. Why should it be? I believe this is because it would be very regretful for anyone to have served the Lord Jesus Christ whiles on earth only to be rejected or denied access to the Kingdom of God because certain “hidden works of darkness”.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us (Christians) therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Romans 13:12

What is described as “Hidden Works of Darkness?”

Hidden works of darkness is defined as;

1. The unholy things that Christians do privately.

2. The double standard lifestyles of Christians.

3. The unrighteous things Christians do privately different to what they say outwardly.

4. The evil practices of Christians hidden from the view of the public.

5. The Questionable characters of Christians unknown that remains unknown.

6. Unholy desires and lusts for things that replaces God.

It is interesting to note that this topic is one of the very concerning subjects that the Holy Spirit through the early Apostle addresses to Christians in the different churches throughout the New Testament.

15 Warnings Issued Out To Christians Involved In “The Hidden Works of Darkness”

1. Have no fellowship with hidden or unfruitful works of darkness.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

2. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself will expose all hidden works of darkness.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

1Corinthians 4:5

4. Depart and separate yourself from all forms of Sin because the Lord knows those who really belong to Him.

2Timothy 2:19

5. Flee from every hidden works of darkness every “man of God”.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

1Timothy 6:10-11

6. Cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us (Christians) therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Romans 13:12

7. A warning to Christians that Jesus Christ is not the minister of sin so we shouldn’t be.

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ and we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Galatians 2:17

8. There will be no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful judgement will wait such Christians.

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Hebrews 10:26-27

9. Do not be drawn away into error because of various lusts.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren (Christians).

James 1:14-16

10. If you call yourself an apostle but privately you are an evil worker you will be exposed as a liar.

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.

Revelations 2:2

11. A warning to people who say they are Christians or ministers but actually members of the church of Satan.

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelations 2:9

12. Christian women who call themselves “prophetess” but are seducers, fornicators and idol worshippers.

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Revelations 2:20

13. Christians appearing holy in public but privately committing Fornication and Adultery.

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Revelations 2:21-23

Revelations 2:21

15. A warning to Christians who also practice sorcery, ancestral worship, witchcraft, consulting all forms of mediums and familiar spirits will face the judgement of God.

And when Saul (a type of Christian) enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

1Samuel 28:6-7

I have heard lot of people say “Practice what you preach”. This is a very common expression and our Lord Jesus Christ speaks very passionately and strongly about living double standard lifestyle.

Mathew 7:21-23

Every Christian is prone to being involved in “hidden works of darkness” and the Lord Jesus Christ warns us to be very watchful that the light of God we say is in us in not darkness.

Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Luke 11:35

What then is the solution to overcoming hidden works of darkness? And how can a Christian purge himself from these hidden works of darkness?

10 Practical Ways To Overcome The Hidden Works Of Darkness

1. Reprove and always correct yourself.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:11

2. Renounce these hidden works of darkness and repent from such works.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4:2

3. Manifest your life openly by walking in truth in the sight of Men and God.

….. but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4:2

4. Consciously put on the Garments of Light.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Romans 13:12

The few examples of the armour of light as described below;

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Ephesians 6:13-18

5. By consciously disciplining and restraining your flesh and its desires.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Romans 6:13

6. By depending on the power of the Holy Spirit.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Romans 8:13

7. By not fellowshipping with people who walk in unfruitful works of darkness.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:11

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:1

8. By Always examining and check-listing yourself.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates (rejects)?

2Corinthians 13:5

9. By making every effort to depart from all forms of evil.

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

2Corinthians 13:7

10. By making every effort to always be honest to yourself and do those things which are honest.

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil… but that ye should do that which is honest…

2Corinthians 13:7

B. Christians Who Cannot Separate Themselves From Worldly Things Would Be Rejected.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

2Corinthians 6:17

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1John 2:15-17

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica……..

2 Timothy 4:10

C. Some Christians Will Be Disqualified Because They Did Not Do The “Will of God”.

Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.

Mathew 7:21-23

What has God told you to do? Learn to discover God’s purpose for your life and walk in it for that will be your safety.

3 Things That Is Not The Same As Doing The “Will Of God”

1. Doing what you think is right if it’s contrary to the Bible.

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.

Proverbs 16:25

Many have encountered death in their marriages, death in their finances; death in the businesses, death is many decisions taken as they ignored the wisdom of the Word of God. My father in ministry, Bishop Dag Heward- Mills always advises us to confirm our decisions and have a scriptural reference for every decision we take.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:5-7

2. Doing what populace recommends.

King Saul in the Old Testament is a good example of someone who was moved by the recommendations and the pressures of the populace and disobeyed the “will of God”. By succumbing to the pressure of the people he was leading, he disobeyed the Lord and lost his Kingship and his monarchy was given to another. The “will of the people” is NOT the “will of God”.

And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. And Samuel said, what hast thou done? And Saul said, because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

1 Samuel 13:8-14

3. Obeying the wisdom and practices of this world.

This wisdom is not the wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.

James 3:15-16

The wisdom of this world is considered as the wisdom of “the god of this world” who is Satan. The Bible gives us 7 clear outcomes of anyone who is given to the wisdom of this world.

i. The wisdom of this world is only limited to and can only function in this world.

ii. The wisdom of this world is not true wisdom because it passes away with time.

iii. The wisdom of this world only appeals to our human senses and our human feelings.

iv. The wisdom of this world is called devilish wisdom; developed by men who are full of demons.

v. The wisdom of this world only leads to jealousy, separations and factions causing so much chaos in this world.

vi. The wisdom of this world will only lead to confusion and destruction.

vii. The wisdom of this world is the causes and instigates every evil work in this world.

If you are living your life by the practices and wisdom of this world, it could cost you your eternal life so carefully consider the implications indicated above regarding the wisdom of this world.

Chapter 9

What Are The Agencies Of Eternal Life?

A. The Preaching Of The Cross Of Jesus Christ.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

14 Powerful Ways By Which The Cross of Jesus Christ Leads To Eternal Life

The preaching of the cross of Jesus Christ announces the following messages;

1. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ tells us the meaning of what Jesus Christ did for the whole world on the cross of Calvary.

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Ephesians 2:16-19

2. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ tells us how Jesus Christ replaced us who are sinners on the Cross of Calvary.

Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

2Corinthians 5:21

3. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ shows us how Jesus Christ took the place of death for the whole world.

For God appointed us not into wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

1Thessalonians 5:9-10

4. The Cross of Jesus Christ shows us the cost of redemption; the price paid for the sins of this world so that we can have access to eternal life.

Knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers; but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ.

1Peter 1:18-19

5. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ shows us how Christians are redeemed and how our sins have been forgiven.

In whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

Ephesians 1:7

6. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ shows us how Jesus Christ willingly sacrificed Himself for the sins of the whole world on the cross of Calvary.

Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father.

Galatians 1:3-4

7. The preaching of the Cross of Jesus Christ announces the benefits of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:3-5

8. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ is the message of healing through the stripes of Jesus Christ.

Who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were.

1Peter 2:24

9. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ explains how through the death of Jesus Christ those who believe are reconciled to God and are presented as holy, unblameable and unreprovable in the sight of God.

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled .In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.

Colossians 1:21-22

10. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ shows us how Jesus Christ overcame death and has brought light and immortality.

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

2Timothy 1:10

11. The message of the Cross of Jesus Christ informs us of how Jesus Christ destroyed the devil through His death on the cross of Calvary.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.

Hebrews 2:14

12. The message of the cross of Jesus Christ shows us how Jesus Christ blotted out any ordinances of death and accusations against Christians.

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:14-15

13. The message of the cross of Jesus Christ informs us about how Jesus Christ openly defeated the devil and took away any power that Satan had.

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:14-15

14. The message of the cross of Jesus Christ declares Jesus Christ to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection from the dead.

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead

Romans 1:4

B. The Preaching Of The Gospel Of Jesus Christ

The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the announcement of the goodness of God. It is also the wonderful blessings that the Kingdom of God brings into the earthly and eternal lives of men through Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is “the announcement of good news” about the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ went throughout the cities and villages showing and telling them the good things that the Kingdom of God awards its citizens.

The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mathew 11:5

8. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can restore life to the dead and give life to dead situations.

The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mathew 11:5

9. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives faith and hope to the poor.

The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mathew 11:5

10. The Gospel of Jesus Christ announces the mercy of God and the grace of God.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

1Timothy 1:13

11. The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes the power of God available to bring changes.

Isn’t it fantastic? Jesus said all things are possible in the life of a believer. In the kingdom of God “all things are possible” to the person who believes in the power of God.

Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Mark 9:23

12. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring prosperity and positive changes to a believer.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

Having life and having it in abundance are two different things. The gospel brings Eternal life after death and Abundance life on earth.

13. The Gospel of Jesus has the ability to make all things new.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelations 21:5

14. The Gospel of Jesus Christ carries in it all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

All the riches of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ. In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:3

15. The Gospel of Jesus has the power to change the Soul of a person.

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Psalm 103:4

16. The Gospel of Jesus establishes faith in a Christian.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mark 11:23-24

17. The preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can expect earthly and eternal rewards.

18. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can be the source of divine health.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 6:63

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 4:22

19. The Gospel of Jesus has the power to heal broken hearts.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 4:18

20. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is able to free people from all kinds or addictions and bondages.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

Luke 4:18

Chapter 10

What Are The Assurances Of Eternal Life?

Eternal life is a living with the Heavenly Father in eternity. Eternal life is lived in the Kingdom of God. Eternal life is a life in the Heavenly Father’s kingdom. Eternal life is a life in the Kingdom of Heaven. There are certain adjectives which are used to describe where Eternal life is lived.

i. The Kingdom of God

ii. The Kingdom of Heaven

iii. The Heavenly Father’s house

iv. The Heavenly Father’s kingdom

2 Major Assurances of Eternal Life

1. The Words Of Jesus Christ

Our Lord Jesus makes a lot of reference to His Father and about the Kingdom of God. I have heard people say “a man is as good as his words and promises” and I believe this is true. If we believe in salvation, then we must also believe in the words of Jesus Christ.

It is also very clear that if you are very familiar to a particular place or you have lived in a particular location before, you may be the best person to vividly describe such a location.

Countless times our Lord Jesus Christ narrates how the Kingdom of God is by using similitudes and parables regarding eternal life.

4 Powerful References from the Words of Jesus Christ

a. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:1-3

b. Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mathew 7:21

c. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

Mathew 26:29

d. Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 22:28-30

2. The Parables of Jesus Christ

The word “parable” is the Greek word “parabolē” which can be translated as;

1. A similitude (a similar story or similar occurrence).

2. A fictitious narrative (reminiscing natural and similar events).

3. A story narrating real occurrences.

This helps us to understand that all the parables that Jesus Christ spoke about are similitudes describing real life occurrences and real places.

3 Powerful References from the Parables of Jesus Christ

1. Eternal life is described as a place which is similar to God’s barn where He keeps His “wheat harvest” from destruction.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mathew 13:30

2. Eternal life is described as a place that is seen as less significant on earth but provides the greatest refuge for many.

3. Eternal life is described as a place whose existence is hidden in plain view of all.

And again he said, whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Luke 13:20-24

Chapter 11

Operating In Two Worlds

I would like to point out that anyone who is genuinely a born-again Christian has Eternal life in himself now as he is alive on earth.

And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1John 5:11-12

Thus this establishes the fact that Christians are currently living in two worlds;

i. The earthly world which enables Christians to live their earthly lives.

ii. The heavenly world in Jesus Christ which enables Christians to live, function and operate in the spirit world with the power of God through Jesus Christ.

7 Reasons Why Christians Operates in Two Worlds

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2: 4-10

Apostle Paul unfolds this mystery to the Christians in Ephesus. He explains the various reasons why Christians are alive on earth and alive in heaven.

1. God has quickened us together with Christ.

This means that God, our Heavenly Father who because of his great mercy and great love for the world has provided a great opportunity for everyone who believes in his Son Jesus Christ to be made alive together with Jesus Christ in heaven whiles alive on earth.

2. God has raised us up together with Christ.

This means that God has promoted every Christian from functioning only on the earth to also functioning on the same level together with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies. This is one of the reasons why Christians are alive on earth and alive in heaven. Furthermore, our Lord Jesus Christ boldly declares to his disciples that “the works that I do, the same works shall ye do” because Christians have been raised to operate on the same level as He did through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:12

3. God has made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

This means that God because of His great love and His great mercy towards us has given Christians who are alive on earth a place of a position in Jesus Christ in heaven.

4. In the ages to come God might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

This means that God intends to demonstrate proudly in the world to come how much the exceeding riches of His grace has caused Christians living on earth to be fruitful and achieve great things through Christ Jesus.

5. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

This means that any spiritual achievement or any spiritual fruits that any Christian achieves was only possible through the abundant grace and kindness that God demonstrated towards Christians through Jesus Christ.

6. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

This also means that God is able to boast about the achievements of Christians in heaven and on earth because His grace and kindness bestowed on humans was not given in vain.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1Corinthians 15:10

The Apostle Paul boldly declared that his labour in the Lord (his Christian life) has produced “more abundant results” than all the other apostles. Apostle Paul furthermore declares that the grace he received from God was not in vain. Are you wasting the grace God has given you? Can you say like Apostle Paul that your grace has produced any results?

7. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This statement of scripture reveals God’s intention for the people who will receive His grace of salvation through Jesus Christ His son. This passage also shows Christians the clear purpose of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Once you receive this great salvation, the next thing is to fulfil the purpose for which you have been saved; to do the good works God has ordained for you to do.

Again Apostle Paul sets a great example for all believers to follow. In the Acts of the Apostles, he declares that “he was not disobedient to the heavenly vision”.

And I said, who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I WAS NOT DISOBEDIENT UNTO THE HEAVENLY VISION.

Act 26:15-19

Chapter 12

Abundant Life

In this Chapter, I am going to relate the revelations that the Lord has shown unto me regarding Abundant Life on earth. Let’s read what the Lord Jesus said about abundant life.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

From this passage of scripture it is clear that Jesus Christ brought us two types of life;

i. Eternal life

ii. Abundant life

It is clear that one of the benefits of belonging to the Lord Jesus Christ is the access to abundant life here on earth. Through His name Christians can live a victorious and successful life on earth and an awesome life in eternity.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to be victorious in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

2Corinthians 2:14

7 Definitions of Abundant Life

The word “abundance” is the Greek word “perissos” which can be translated as a life that is;

1. Superior in quality

2. Pre-eminence

3. Advantaged

4. Exceedingly fulfilled

5. Beyond measure

6. Highly advantaged

7. Superfluous

10 Ways Every Christian Can Live An Abundant Life

1. By obeying and serving God.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Job 36:11

2. By making the Kingdom of God first in priority.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mathew 6:33

3. By being a diligent Christian.

And beside this, giving all diligence

2Peter 1:5

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Proverbs 22:29

4. By adding excellence to your Christian faith.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (excellence)…

2 Peter 1:5

5. By growing in knowledge.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Peter 1:5

The word “knowledge” is the Greek word “gnōsis” which is akin to scientific knowledge; knowledge acquired by intelligent study and application.

6. By being temperate in all things.

And to knowledge temperance

2Peter 1:6

Temperance is the Greek word “egkrateia” which can be translated as “self-control”; being able to control yourself in everything and your ability to know when to restrain yourself or draw the line.

7. By developing the attribute of patience.

And to knowledge temperance and to temperance patience

2Peter 1:6

8. By being a godly person.

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness

2Peter 1:6

Godliness as used in the scripture is the Greek word “eusebeia” being translated as the practice of holiness and piety.

9. By being an affectionate Christian.

And to godliness brotherly kindness

2Peter 1:7

Brotherly kindness is the fraternal affection we ought to have towards fellow human beings.

10. By being a Christian full of the love.

…and to brotherly kindness charity

2Peter 1:7

Charity as used in this passage of scripture is the Greek word “agape” which is translated as

i. True affection

ii. Benevolence

iii. Being charitable

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.

2Peter 1:8-10

Chapter 13

What Is Eternal Death?

And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

Mathew 25:46

Eternity has two sides is like a coin. There are two options and two possibilities when it comes to eternity.

1. Eternal Life through Jesus Christ

2. Eternal Death through Satan

We have discussed thoroughly what Eternal life is about and how anyone can gain access therein in the earlier chapters. In this chapter, we will delve into Eternal death.

7 Definitions of Eternal Death

1. Eternal damnation.

…but is in danger of eternal damnation.

Mark 3:29

2. Eternal condemnation.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:19

3. To Languish and Perish in eternity.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:15

4. Eternal punishment.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mathew 25:46

5. Eternal torment.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:26-28

6. To be cut off completely from God.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God

Ephesians 4:17-18

7. To be in Hell after death.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes…

Luke 16:22-23

5 Ways to Enter into Eternal Death

1. By rejecting the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

By rejecting the only vaccine which has the ability to immune or cure you from a deadly diseases will only lead to one ultimate conclusion; your death. The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of the Living God is the only “vaccine” through whom the souls of men can gain access to eternal life.

Obviously those who reject salvation through Jesus Christ have rejected the only “vaccine” that is able to be cure mankind from the disease called “eternal death” into “eternal life”.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, THAT LIGHT IS COME INTO THE WORLD, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:18-19

2. By Choosing the Way of Death.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU LIFE AND DEATH, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live:

Deuteronomy 30:19

And unto this people thou shalt say, thus saith the LORD; Behold, I SET BEFORE YOU THE WAY OF LIFE, AND THE WAY OF DEATH.

Jeremiah 21:8

The power of choice is in your decision as a Human soul and God our heavenly father would not deny you of your right to choose. Everyone has every right to choose where to spend eternity after our short life on earth. Whether you choose life or death, Heaven or Hell, eternal life or eternal death, the clock is ticking! We have a limited time on earth to make a choice.

It is an assumption that everyone in his or her right mind would chose eternal life over eternal death but no. Some have chosen eternal death and many will continue to choose a life with Satan rather than an eternity with God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, AND MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:18-19

3. By Choosing the Way of Unbelief.

But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

Through the unbelief of many people in the salvation that is in Jesus Christ the Son of God, many would unfortunately be lured into eternal death.

7 Common Disbeliefs

i. Many do not believe in Heaven and Hell.

ii. Many do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

iii. Many do not believe that Salvation and redemption can only come through Jesus Christ.

iv. Many do not believe that this world would perish one day.

v. Many do not believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to everlasting life they are busy finding other ways to eternal life.

vi. Many do not believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ the whole world could be saved. They ask “how can the sacrifice of one man save the whole world?”

vii. Many do not believe in life after death.

4. Through the Way of Ignorance.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Psalm 82:5

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:14

Others will perish and go to Hell only because they are ignorant of the way of escape that God has made available. Many are likely to perish because “they know not”, neither “do they understand” that there is Salvation for this world through Jesus Christ.

This is why every believer has the opportunity and the responsibility of telling the world about the good news of Salvation.

And he said unto them, GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:15-16

5. Through the Way of Deception.

Deception is the greatest tool which the devil uses to lure millions of souls into Hell.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Mathew 24:4; 11

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 16:18

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelations 12:9

Satan, who is also called the god of this world, has been very successful in deceiving the whole world through many false prophets, false teachers, false religions, false philosophies etc. including using the tool of blindness to deceive the minds of millions of people so they disbelieve the Gospel and Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:4.

Chapter 14

7 Deceptions That Leads To Eternal Death

1. The Deceitfulness of Riches

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, AND THE DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Mathew 13:22

The desire for wealth at any cost and the mind set on gaining riches and affluence has caused millions to be blinded by the god of this world and dragged into Hell. I am not poor, I believe I am wealthy but what I am emphasising on is the desire and the strong edge to be rich at any cost is what destroys many.

I believe in diligence, I believe in hard-work, I believe in finding your gift and making the best out of it but FIRST THINGS FIRST; by seeking the kingdom of God first and all its righteousness, understanding and applying the principles of increase in the word of God would make anybody rich.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1Timothy 6:10

2. The Deceitfulness of Sin

But exhort one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:13

What then is defined as Sin? I believe Sin is anything that doesn’t please God. We have all come short of pleasing God and doing what is right in His sight. The writer of Hebrews in warns the believers of the dangers of being hardened towards God through the deceitfulness of Sin.

How is Sin deceptive? Sin is deceptive because it is Pleasurable. Through the subtlety of the pleasures that Sin presents; many are deceived to grossly engage in Sin not considering the outcome thereof.

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

Hebrews 11:25

3. The Deceitfulness of the Sleight of Men

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by THE SLEIGHT OF MEN, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Ephesians 4:14

The phrase “the sleight of men” is synonymous to the tricks and fraudulent nature of people. Our Lord Jesus Christ clearly stated that many people would come in His name in the last days and with diverse tricks and fraudulent ways and manifestations deceive many and draw crowds unto themselves.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Mathew 24:5

Deceptive tricks and false manifestations of the miracles, signs and wonders would cause many to follow false teachers to Hell.

4. The Deceitfulness In Following Every Wind Of Doctrine.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, AND CARRIED ABOUT WITH EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 4:14

It is very sad to see millions of people being swayed from the true gospel of Salvation and the word of God to the doctrines and teachings of men. Many have left the word of God which is the guide line, the reference point and the correction tool for every believer. Once you veer off and don’t restrict your beliefs to the scripture you will be deceived and lured to Hell.

Many do not take the time to search for the truth in the scriptures regarding “every teaching” perceived to be the word of God. This therefore causes many to be deceived and to walk in error and become captives of men and Satan.

Jesus answered and said unto them, ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Mathew 22:29

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32

5. The Deceitfulness of False Doctrines.

What are False Doctrines? False doctrines are the teachings, instructions and commandments of men contrary to the doctrines of the Word of God.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mathew 15:9

But he answered and said unto them, why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Mathew 15:3

False doctrines can also be defined as the religious practices, traditional practices and cultural practices that are totally against the Word of God.

6. The Deceitfulness of False Teachers.

Who are False Teachers? False teachers are men who distort the doctrines of the Word of God for their own sinful gain. False teachers aim to profit from perpetrating false doctrines through using tools such as “good words” and “fair speeches” to deceive the hearts of simple people away from the truth in the Word of God.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 16:18

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:1

False teachers are people, persons, organisations or institutions among us who;

a. Teach the instructions of men that do not conform to the scriptures as the Word of God.

b. Bring and teach “damnable heresies”.

Heresies are religious beliefs contrary to the Holy Scriptures. Therefore “damnable heresies” are religious beliefs that are contrary to the Holy Scriptures which has one aim; to condemn people.

c. Deny that Lord Jesus Christ has bought everyone who is redeemed.

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:20

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

1 Peter 1:18-19

7. The Deceitfulness of False Prophets.

Who are False Prophets?

Then the LORD said unto me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Jeremiah 14:14

What then does it mean to prophesy?

The word “to prophesy” is the Hebrew word “nâbâ’ ” which is translated as;

a. To speak by inspiration

b. To sing by inspiration

Who Qualifies to Prophesy?

1. The Prophet

One who is inspired by God, one who stands in the office of a prophet and one who stands in the ministry of a prophet.

Again he said unto me, prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, o ye dry bones, hear the word of the lord.

Ezekiel 37:4

I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

Hosea 12:10

2. As many as are led by the Holy Spirit.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters SHALL PROPHESY, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Joel 2:28-29

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:14

10 Ways to Identify False Prophets

Then the Lord said unto me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Jeremiah 14:14

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Mathew 7:15-16

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Chapter 15

Hell – The Place of Eternal Death

Hell is a general term used to describe the underworld; the place of condemned souls in eternity. There are several adjectives used to describe “Hell”. The Hebrew word for Hell is “sheh-ole’” which is translated as;

1. Hades

2. The world of the dead

3. The Pit of death

4. The grave of the death

5. A place of departed souls

6. A world of the condemned

7. A place where the inmates of the death are held

The 5 Regions In the Underworld That Comprises of Hell

According to the scriptures Hell has several compartments. Hell is also described as;

a. The lower parts of the earth.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

Psalm 63:9

b. The place beneath the earth.

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

Isaiah 14:9

The 5 Regions of Hell.

1. PARADEISOS

This is a place also known as “Paradise”. It used to be the place that kept all the “righteous people” who lived and served the Living God until the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

After their death, the souls of all the people of old who served God were kept in “paradise” waiting for the salvation that was to come through resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This place is now empty because our Lord Jesus Christ brought salvation to all those kept in paradise. Paradise is also called “Abrahams bosom” in the gospel of Luke.

4 Proofs that Paradise Was a Temporary Refuge for the Righteous

a. The words of the great prophet Samuel.

Then said the woman, whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, bring me up Samuel. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, why hast thou deceived me? For thou art Saul. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. And he said unto her, what form is he of? And she said, an old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. And Samuel said to Saul, why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

1Samuel 28:11-15

b. The words of King David

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 16:9-11

c. The words of Jesus Christ at his death.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:42-43

d. The parable of Jesus Christ confirming that Paradise is Abraham’s bosom

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would come from thence.

Luke 16:19-26

3 Proofs That Jesus Christ Delivered All The Righteous Kept In Paradise Into Heaven

a. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared.

Mathew 27:50-54

b. Apostle Pauls letter to the Ephesian Church

Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. Now that he ascended, what is it but that he (talking about Jesus Christ) also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

Ephesians 4:8-10

c. Apostle Pauls letter to the Colossian Church

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:14-15

2. HADĒS

The place where the souls of “sinners” are held captive and tormented.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments

Luke 16:22-23

The souls of “sinners” who are still alive on earth but are held captive in hades can be redeemed and translated into the Kingdom of God. Once “sinners” who are still alive accept the salvation that is offered in Jesus Christ they are immediately translated from the power of darkness into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (qualified) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness (hell), and hath translated (transferred, exchanged, removed) us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Colossians 1:12-13

3. TARTAROS̄

The place to incarcerate people in eternal torment. It is the deepest darkness of Hades. Tartaros̄ is the prison in Hell reserved for the fallen angles who sinned and were not faithful to God.

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

2Peter 2:4

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Jude 1:6

4. ABYSS; THE BOTTOMLESS PIT

This is kingdom of great torment in Hell, where Satan; the King of the bottomless pit also called Apollyon releases his host of darkness called “locust”. These “locusts” are given power like the power that scorpions possess and their main aim is to “hurt and torment” only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth (region): and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revelations 9:1-11

5. THE LAKE OF FIRE

This is the place for the second death, in Hebrew it is called “Tophet” and in Greek it is called “Gehenna”. This destination is prepared for 2 groups;

a. Satan, his devils and his angles.

b. Anyone whose name is not found in the “book of life”.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

Mathew 25:41

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelations 20:12-15

7 Things That Will Happen To Souls In Hell

1. Souls in Hell will experience weeping. Mathew 22:13

3. Souls in Hell will be a fire burning with brimstone. Jude1:7, Mark 9:43

4. Souls in Hell will have worms eating them alive and there wouldn’t be an option of death. Mark 9:44

5. Souls who end up in Hell will be exposed to the lake of fire. Rev 20:15

6. Souls in Hell will be greatly tormented. Luke 16:28

7. Souls in Hell will be punished with thirst. Mathew 25:46

Chapter 16

The Roll Call In Hell

Who and Who Will Be In Hell?

1. The Abominable

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

The word abominable is the same word as detestable. Persons who are involved in detestable things that are against the will of God will find themselves being enrolled in Hell.

2. The Fearful

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

The word fearful is the Greek word “deilos” which is translated as “faithless”. Thus those who have no faith in Jesus Christ and faith in the Salvation that comes through the Lord Jesus will have their place in Hell.

3. The Unbelieving

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

Unbelievers are people who do not believe or trust in God and in Jesus Christ His Son.

4. Murderers

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

5. Whoremongers

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

6. Sorcerers

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

7. Idolaters

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

8. All Liars

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelations 21:8

9. Anyone whose name is not written in the book of Life.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelations 20:15

10. The False Prophets.

And the beast was taken, and with him THE FALSE PROPHET that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelations 19:20

Chapter 17

The Records In Heaven

3 Books of Records

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; AND THE BOOKS WERE OPENED: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelations 20:12

Heaven keeps records of everything that happens on earth. There are books which also has the records of Christians and their service to God through Jesus Christ. These books will be opened before the judgement seat of Christ in heaven.

1. The Book of Life

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in THE BOOK OF LIFE.

Philippians 4:3

Many will be suppressed when the Book of Life is opened and their names are not found written in them. Anyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life will be cast down to Hell. Please MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE.

2. The Book of Judgement

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: AND THE DEAD WERE JUDGED out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelations 20:12

The Book of Life can also be called The Book of Judgement. It does not only have the names of those entitled to everlasting life, it also has JUDGEMENTS for the works of everyone who lived on the earth whether great or small.

3. The Book of Remembrance

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, AND A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

How Your Name Can Be Recorded In The Book Of Remembrance

a. Your work for God.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 6:10

b. Your labour of love towards His name.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 6:10

c. Your service towards Christians and the Church.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 6:10

d. How many things you have ministered unto His servants.

The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

2Timothy 1:18

You don’t need to be a priest or be part of the clergy to do something or undertake an initiative for the Lord Jesus Christ and for the House of God. Anyone who fears the name of the Lord can make things happen for the Lord and the House of God.

To remember is to;

1. To recollect

2. To show mercy

3. To rehearse

4. To make mention

5. To be mindful

In 2 Timothy 1:16-18, Apostle Paul makes mention of one family; the house of Onesiphorus and the man Onesiphorus. Why was this man and his family so important to Apostle Paul? And why did Paul ask the Lord to remember Onesiphorus in that day.

5 Things Onesiphorus Did For His Name To Be In The Book of Remembrance

The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: but, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

2 Timothy 1:16-18

1. He often refreshed the servant of God.

2. He was not ashamed of associating with the servant of God in his troubles.

3. He was not ashamed to suffer shame because he was associated with the servant of God in his troubles and difficult time.

4. He went looking for the servant of God diligently to be of any help and assistance to the servant of God.

5. He ministered MANY THINGS out of his own provision to the servant of God in different places.

Because Mr. Onesiphorus and his family refreshed the servant of God, the Apostle Paul not just once but often, the servant of God pronounced 3 blessings on him and his family;

1. The blessing of being remembered by the Lord

2. The blessing of finding mercy from the Lord

3. The blessing of Onesiphorus and his family’s name being written in the book of remembrance.

Please understand that the Lord knows how to take care of his servants and I am not teaching this to say that the servants of God are hungry and are in desperate need of gifts or assistance.

…NOT BECAUSE I DESIRE A GIFT: but I DESIRE FRUIT THAT MAY ABOUND TO YOUR ACCOUNT. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God. BUT MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS.

Philippians 4:17-19

Finally I conclude with this scripture to encourage you to continue your faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Chapter 18

The Only Way Into Eternal Life

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, WHAT SHALL I DO TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE?

Luke 18:18

In this last chapter, we are going to meet the Lord Jesus Christ and how He is related to inheriting eternal life. It is therefore important to understand that eternal life is a place to be inherited and gained access to.

I believe at the gates of eternal life, there is this bold sign “RIGHTS OF ADMISSION RESERVED” which is visible to all who are looking forward to being there. In the same way you would need a valid visa to gain legal entrance into any country in this world, so is there a need for mankind to gain entrance into eternal life.

The question then is “but how can I then gain entrance to eternal life?” What do I need to gain access to eternal life? What is the requirement needed? Who do I need to see to gain entrance into eternal life? I want you to understand that “eternal life” is neither like this world nor in this world where people can bribe their way to enter into certain countries or use false documents to gain entrance or through diplomatic means.

Many people are trying so hard and doing so many things, offering so many sacrifices so that they would enter into eternal life. There are so many theories; so many cults, so many religions, and so many traditions, all with the aim and goal of gaining entrance into eternal life.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

To go to the Heavenly Father who lives in eternal life, you have to go through His Son Jesus Christ. Sorry, there is no other way!

10 Reasons Why Jesus Christ is the Only Way Into Eternal Life

1. Because Jesus Christ is the Son of God and has the only access to the Father at any time.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

2. Because the key to eternal life is your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1John 5:11-12

3. Because God has chosen that the only way to come into eternal life is through His Son Jesus Christ.

And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

1John 5:11

4. Because Jesus Christ is the only one who paid the price for men to be reconciled.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2Corinthians 5:18-19

5. Because Jesus Christ is the only one who paid the price for the redemption of men.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Ephesians 1:7

6. Because Jesus Christ is the only one who defeated Satan and has the keys to Death and Hell. He decides who enters into hell and who doesn’t.

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelations 1:18

7. Because all the power to access Heaven and Hell has been given to Jesus Christ.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Mathew 28:18

8. Because Jesus Christ has been appointed heir of all things and is seated on the right of God.

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Hebrews 1:2-3

9. Because the name of Jesus is powerful in Heaven, on earth and beneath the earth.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

10. Because the God kind of life can only be found in Jesus Christ

In him was life (the God kind of life); and the life was the light of men.

John 1:4

It is time to accept that Jesus Christ is the saviour of this world and acknowledge what Jesus Christ did for the entire human race. Our only duty is to surrender our lives to him who can redeem us from the pit of Hell and take us into eternal life.

Prayer for Salvation

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelations 3:20

Pray the prayer of salvation below in all sincerity and faith;

Heavenly Father, I thank you for my life, I thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die for me on the cross of Calvary. From today, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and I accept salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ your Son. From today, I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and my personal saviour. Thank you Heavenly Father for saving my soul in Jesus name. Amen!
