The United States currently a social divide between Democrats and Republicans, justice is blind but. . . Lately it is one-sided as well there are many examples to this just think for a minute you can probably come up with at least a couple off the top of your head without thinking too hard.

L B Jubil Chapter 1 Tick. . .Talk. . .Tick

Stephen Richards a veteran of the Vietnam War having worked for the United States post office for fifteen years his semi retired now he one of the many entered during 9/11 as he was delivering mail in the area at the time of the catastrophe, he receiving multiple fractures and contusions that left him laid up for nearly a year recovering from his injuries and was pensioned off with a disability from the United States post office.

Using many of his skills acquired while enlisted in the United States air force while serving in Vietnam Stephen is self-employed a contractor working on aircraft, the skills learned in the Air Force during his five-year stint serve him well now, fifty-six years old married with two kids they now have a passel of grandchildren he and his wife of twenty years primarily live a fairly simple life except for the occasions in which it is necessary for him to service an aircraft.

Certified by the FAA the federal aviation administration Stephen is among those who have been certified as aircraft mechanics with the skills on the knowledge to perform repairs and maintenance, driving a fairly new pickup possessing over a thousand dollars worth of tools the plastic magnetic sign adhered to the doors of his pickup depict, “Richards aircraft maintenance,” licensed and certified as both repair and maintenance contractor approved by the FAA.

His son Joseph though a college graduate with a degree in rural sociology is working only part-time as a cook, prior to the bill known as Obama care, he had been employed full-time and was earning a decent wage for a small company that either laid off or put their longer-term employees on part-time to avoid compliance with the mandated specifications in the bill Obama care.

His daughter Ellie, is married with two children though her husband is employed as a tow truck driver he is basically an independent contractor the working for his employer he is paid strictly on a commission basis, the tow truck company he works for is to have a good reputation and gave their employees good benefits but since the onslaught of Obama care, it is a thing of the past.

To make ends meet when her husband is home she is working at a dry cleaners where she is paid twenty cents for each shirt she presses, like her husband she is considered an independent contractor and is responsible for paying her own taxes and providing her own medical care this too is just another example of the devastating effects of the bill known as Obama care on the working class public of those living and working in the United States of America.

James Erickson is a police officer and has been on the force for twelve years with two promotions and several citations he is now at the rank of Sergeant, working for the Chicago Police Department despite the fact that he is a man of color with groups like Black lives matter, it has become difficult for him to do his job and is in fear of retaliation from his own Police Department officials each day as he puts on his uniform and goes to work.

Garrick Jones has now joined the ranks of the unemployed and homeless after the company he worked for, for twelve years closed their factory and left the United States, its corporate offices now in Taiwan where the labor he used to perform is now performed by their citizens for far less than the factory had paid him and those employees now have little or no benefits.

Ken Lasher works for the highway department, as an employee he has been with the department for twelve years and over the past twelve years he has seen the quality of their work decline year after year because of federal budget cuts of funds allocated to the highway department, as a result many projects are farmed out to the lowest bidder and many highways are in disrepair and in need of service of federal funds having been cut make a lot of these necessary repairs all but impossible to achieve as funding to make these necessary repairs such as potholes simply are not there any longer.

The federal established minimum wage being at seven twenty-five an hour making it difficult for people who are underemployed or undereducated to make a decent living wage, raising the minimum wage however would only result in increasing the cost of everything gas, food, luxury items, appliances, automobiles and so much more and it is this reason that the administration and previous administrations have kept the federal minimum wage at the same pay rate for years.

People elected by the citizens of their state to be Congressman have big ideas and great plans to serve the citizens of their state, but once in office they find out very soon that they will run up against political roadblocks making their efforts all but futile as the administration wants to keep the status quo desiring not to allow changes to be made that would disrupt it.

What you have just read are just a few of the examples of what is wrong with America today, as you continue reading you will read a fictional depiction of what may transpire in the future should America continue on its current path.

L B Jubil Chapter 2 Tick. . .Talk. . .Tick

Tabatha Warren and her husband Richard are in their late sixties drawing Social Security and on Medicare, they each having worked since they were teenagers, married now thirty years they are a happy couple home owners with many concerns about the economy and the turmoil within the government has these problems could affect Social Security benefits as well as Medicare.

It is not uncommon to hear things about throwing grandma over the cliff a phrase that is overused by the Democrats, the newly elected president is unpopular with both the Democratic Party and many Republicans the election coming at a time of turmoil was so many problems including immigration.

Somehow it seems with all the campaign promises when a senator gets elected there is a lot of talk very little action as the clock continues ticking, was so many concerns it baffles the mind with all the any problems facing our world today and so little being done about any of them.

Tabatha and her husband Richard having joined payroll savings plans early on in life have a little money put away, but the problem is that the value of the dollar has shrunk to such a level that the dollar will hardly by the candy bar that could have been purchased for a nickel thirty years ago.

With Isis there is an ongoing war against this terrorist organization, now there is a threat of a nuclear Holocaust originating from North Korea, and now at the lowest level since the Cold War Russia has added tensions to the already tense environment in which we live in good old USA.

Our highways and bridges and roads have crumpling infrastructure potholes and many other problems that there never seems to be enough money allocated to make repairs upon, as a couple married thirty years Tabatha and Richard receiving just over seven hundred dollars a month Social Security benefits each Richard receiving five hundred dollars a month from his retirement from the factory where he had worked twenty-two years until a year ago. . . The factory closing its doors in leaving the United States, reopening in Mexico where it pays lower wages and no benefits.

The fictional couple in this story ended up losing their home through repossession, the monthly mortgage payments having got far too expensive to afford on their fixed income, unable to qualify for federal assistance under various programs they are now living in a travel trailer.

Always so much talking when you turn on the news all these public officials are going to do these great things to make things better for everyone, all this talk is the clock keeps ticking away and very little of anything getting done about it with the problem seemingly escalating daily.

There is an internal crisis going on people supposedly radicalized doing things against the United States in the name of Isis, radicalized individuals and groups set out to do descriptive things throughout the United States and our allies as well every day stories can be heard about death and destruction and there is seemingly no easy solution to resolve the issue.

Their children and grandchildren are suffering due to the economy and employers dodging the healthcare act put into place by the Obama administration, thousands of employers in the United States only working their employees thirty hours or less during a week to avoid having to provide health care coverage under the existing law.

The elected president having made campaign promises to change and repeal this healthcare act having little or no progress in doing so because of lack of Democratic support and conflicts within its own Republican Party, meanwhile the people are suffering tick talk tick.

During this current administration seems no easy resolution as so many people are fighting against the current elected president and many of his followers are dwindling because he is unable to keep his campaign promises due to the opposition he faces on every front, we are a world in decline and without change soon America could self implode.

All these issues are things people should ponder about, contact your local state representative your Congressman tell them your feelings about these issues and get them to stop talking and do something positive about resolving them because the clock is ticking and thus far everyone is just talking. Tick, talk tick.

Having read this I am sure you formed your own opinion, but the issues brought up in this brief little story are real, quite real and the clock is ticking and things definitely need to be done about them situation is getting to the point where we can no longer ignore these issues.

If you agree, contact your local state representative by phone, by letter or by email, these issues will not go away by themselves, the clock is ticking and thus far there is only talking going on.

It is your choice, is our country were saving? If so let us all get behind our president and do what we can to try to make things better not just for yourself but for everyone!
