[* A Peep into the Poetic Murder- Friend and Not a Friend- Recapping the Good Old Style *]

“There existed a man, who spoke in poetic verses. He witnessed a murder at night, the terrific night, he verses upon the tragic view with intensity of lines, but people don’t take him seriously. For one man understood him, he was a threat, one man tried to protect him, and he was his friend.”

Screenplay: Narration…………………….

There once lived a Man in Scotland called “Poemish Scott” who talked in verses. His playful nature and affinity for poems stole all his time in this engagement. He became a versant in poems, that he talked poems, walked poems and lived poems. Every interaction was loaded by lines with the beauty of poems. He had two friends Vann and Vanne, the twins who lived the house by. His love for poems and his behavior brought him the apt title, “Mr. Poemish”. This story took shape in his life when he was 50 years old, unmarried, and the only litterateur in the Kingdom at that time passage. People looked at him during his interactions and tried to make out what he meant and said. Most people did not have a mindset for literature nor did anybody take pains to understand. Vanne, the neighbor would say, “Keep it simple, Stupid.” And Vann would rephrase it with, “Keep it simple Scott”. The Twins had opposite temperament, while both seemed good in nature.

Mr. Scott lived in a rather old cottage, with a dilapidated roof and water dripping in four corners of the house. Scott was a noble man but his money worth in Scotland at that time was pennies, with no one ready to immerse self in literature. He had a servant called Terry who did the cooking, cleaning and mopping for him.

One Late evening he said to Terry, “Terry come in, get the tongs, pull the splash of water in the bucket, Take care it does not seep out or you will weep out.”

Terry looked at him in confusion. His had learnt one thing on how to handle his master’s orders, was to pick the common words in his verses, and execute the order. He had said, Tongs-water-bucket, the keywords meant he had to heat the water and put it in the bucket using tongs. When people did not understand his poems, they hardly gave themselves a chance to reason out what he said, they did not take him seriously, and that pained Scott. He wanted social interaction with everyone, have fun with everyone, but he was too old to change his habit. So, ultimately, he decided, He had to learn to keep it simple. Then line that struck to him belonged to his friendly neighbors.

It was Midnight, raining heavily. But Scott wanted to talk to them, but too late, then he heard screams of an old man, crying, “Don’t kill me!! Please don’t, I cannot defy the king’s order, and have myself beheaded, and it would be injustice to the kingdom. Another voice boomed, “Then Thou shall die, as it would be injustice to me.” Scott found a man hooded in black cloak, and a shadow of a cringed curled man who was on his knees. Scott hid behind the tree, witnessing the murder night……..

Bedraggled in rain, shaking intensely, he entered his warm cottage. But it was not warm for him anymore, Terry lay asleep near the Chimney fire. He rushed to his room, and shut the door behind him and said, “Alas never heard of a heinous murder as his one, alas the pain of seeing this is more, far more.”

Next day a body was found in the courtyard ten houses away from his. People said may be the Old man was hunted down on a run and killed so brutally. The King’s men recognized him as the foreign minister of the land, and was to sign a special deed with King of the kingdom. The king’s Man asked, “Did any of thee see the murder, or suspicion anybody?” in a raw accent.

Scott Said, “Murder so heinous, death bloodied hell, occurred night…” he stopped, people starred at him. They did not catch him and started laughing. The king’s man said, “Scott, could you translate it in a better way?”

Vann was there, who said, “I will translate, I have dealt with him all 25 years”. He turned to Scott and said, “I will talk to you now, give me a minute.” He said, “Any Kings man can accompany me to my house, where I will translate his proof. Since there is a possibility that if it is in public, the killer would make his escape.”

All of the Kings men agreed, and a young lad in 20s accompanied him, while others were busy at the inspection spot.

Scott went in with Vann and the Kings man. His intense feelings made the proof phrases….

Scott said shivering…

A man in cloak dark leather

With a slashing huge butcher’s knife

Brought towards a king’s courtier
