“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” Marcus Tullius Cicero, 58 B.C. Speech in the Roman Senate
Could April, 2019 be that time indicated in the Bible as the time that begins the Tribulation period? And, if so; what does the word tribulation mean? Will we on earth have notice when this tribulation begins; if as the Bible prophesies, it will begin? The Bible very clearly answers many of these End Times questions. These answers may be extrapolated mainly from three parts of the Bible. They are The Olivet Prophesy, the Book of Daniel, and the Book of Revelation.
Only a few know of the Olivet Discourse. It’s from a discussion between Jesus, Matthew, Mark and Luke while they waited on the Mount of Olives; hence the word Olivet. This is a description from Wikipedia:
“The Olivet Discourse or Olivet prophecy is a biblical passage found in the Synoptic Gospels in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. It is also known as the Little Apocalypse because it includes the use of apocalyptic language, and it includes Jesus’ warning to his followers that they will suffer tribulation and persecution before the ultimate triumph of the Kingdom of God. The Olivet discourse is the last of the Five Discourses of Matthew and occurs just before the narrative of Jesus’ passion beginning with the Anointing of Jesus. In the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, Jesus spoke this discourse to his disciples privately on the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple. In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus taught over a period of time in the Temple and stayed at night on the Mount of Olives.
The discourse is widely believed by scholars to contain material delivered on a variety of occasions.”
The Siege and Destruction of Jerusalem, by David Roberts (1850).
“Some believe the passage largely refers to the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and the events leading up to it, although there are also references to events following this. This is one reason why scholars date the Gospel of Mark to the period just before, or just after, the events of the year 70.
It is unclear whether the tribulation Jesus describes is a past, present or future event. In each of the three gospel accounts, the sermon contains a number of statements which at first glance seem predictive of future events. However, modern Christian interpretation diverges as to the meaning of the additional topics in the discourse. Many evangelical Christian interpreters say the passages refer to the Second Coming of Jesus. They disagree whether Jesus describes the signs that accompany his return.
The setting on the Mount of Olives is also thought by some scholars to have been not incidental, but a quite deliberate echo of a passage in the Book of Zechariah which refers to the location as the place where a final battle would occur between the Jewish Messiah and his opponents.”
The Book of Daniel was written five hundred years before this discourse occurred on the Mount of Olives. Although Chapter 9 is very cryptic from Daniel’s vision given and explained by the angel Gabriel. Ironically, and perhaps through blatant deception, this is the same angel Muhammad claimed visited him while he was contemplating in his cave. In Daniel’s vision he was given information about the abomination of desolation and certain cryptic times of events sequences; the most important being a covenant ‘confirmed by many.’ These events and times will be discussed later in this book.
The third source of information about the tribulation and the abomination of desolation is the Book of Revelation. This source clearly describes and defines the source of that tribulation, the rise of the ‘beast,’ the time of his arrival, and how he will cause the period of tribulation.
First, let’s discuss the Olivet Discourse. That will be in the first chapter.
The Olivet Discourse
The Olivet Discourse begins in Matthew, Chapter 24, when Jesus had the discussion with his disciples on the Mount of Olives. But, setting the stage for this conversation began in Chapter 23. This describes an event in the temple where Jesus chastises those leaders in the temple. Verses 27-28 deliver the most scathing words:
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye are like unto white sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead man’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”
Now, since we are in a time where the Bible is read less in our society, and is often ridiculed and scorned by many; and many refuse to own or read a Bible, the full discourse by Matthew will be included next. And, for those who own and appreciate the Words, this entry will be included for a smoother and more integrated flow. It begins in Chapter 24:
“And, Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2) And Jesus said unto them, ‘See you not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.’
3) And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4) And Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Take heed that no man deceive you. 5) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6) And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8) All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9) Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: 17) Let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19) And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20) But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
23) Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Now, let’s pause a moment and relate this last verse with a corresponding verse in Revelation, Chapter 13. The description of a false prophet, also known as the second beast, begins in verse 11:
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast (the antichrist that will later be identified as Muhammad) before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.” This is the description of the false prophet that will show ‘great signs and wonders.’ Now let’s return to Matthew, Chapter 24. We restart with verse 25:
“Behold, I have told you before. 26) Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27) For as the lightning commeth out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28) For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33) So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35)Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36) But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37) But as the days of No’e were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that No’e entered into the ark. 39) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40) Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41) Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42) Watch therefore for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43) But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47) Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49) And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50) The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51) And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
The verses above are the entirety of Chapter 24. The admonition in this chapter is to be ready for Christ’s return; for no man knows the day or the hour. For salvation; one must understand, be prepared and make the best and highest use of his or her blessings in His Name. Chapter 25, the next chapter, gives parables to demonstrate the use of these blessings from God. These three parables will be summarized:
First was the parable of the ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom to arrive. Five had oil for their lamps to meet him when he arrived; they didn’t know when. The other five had no oil for their lamps; they were waiting. When he suddenly arrived, all were sleeping. When awoken, the five having oil for their lamps went out to meet him. The other five asked for some of their oil, in which they responded that they should go get their own oil. When those five returned this is what happened as given in verses 11-13:
“Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
The second parable was of the talents most have heard of. It begins in verse 14:
“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15) And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.”
When he returned, the first two servants reported they had doubled their talents by using them wisely. The man, their lord, praised them with these words:
“Well done, good and faithful servants; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
The third servant receiving one talent buried it safely for his lord’s return. When he returned this was their conversation, beginning with verse 24:
“Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou has not strawed; 25) And I was afraid and went and hid thy talent in the earth; lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26) His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27) Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.”
This parable concludes in verses 28-30: “Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29) For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30) And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
The remainder of Chapter 25 explains that day of judgement, depending upon how people treated other people – in the support of strangers. For example, verse 38 reads, “When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in or naked, and clothed thee.”
Verses 31-34 give the parable of judgement in the form of sheep and goats, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
In summary, this discussion on the Mount of Olives served three main purposes. First, to warn that horrible things would happen in the future; and those events would begin with an abomination placed in Jerusalem. That object would be called the ‘Abomination of Desolation’ because it would make it desolate. Second, to be prepared because that event would happen at an unknown time; and it would happen so suddenly that one would not have time to repent for a heavenly salvation. Be ready! Third, was to use those talents, blessings, to enrich oneself in God’s light.
God gives those blessings to everyone who lives in the Spirit. If one uses those blessings, those talents, to multiply God’s glory then that person is even more blessed. If one buries those blessings, then he or she received the judgement determined. Those blessings will be discussed next. They are identified within the Seven Spirits of God.
For those unaware, the Bible’s book of Revelation was written by the apostle John who was exiled on the Island of Patmos, which is just off the western side of Turkey. When John wrote Revelation, that area was considered Asia. John wrote seven letters to what was at that time the seven churches in Asia Minor. John’s words to the seven churches, and the writings that followed, were given to him by Jesus in a vision. John’s writing says the words were written as they were given to him.
Revelation begins by John expressing how his writing began; with a great voice behind him. After a brief introduction, John was instructed to write certain words to each of the seven churches. Those seven churches were: Sardis, Laodicea, Smyrna, Pergamos, Philadelphia, Thyatira, and Ephesus.
Many things are deeply coded in this writing, requiring the reader to consider the hidden meaning of every word. For example, the word ‘stars’ is used throughout Revelation. Jesus gave John one of these codes by explaining two important clues before he began to write. In reading the remainder of Revelation one might think stars falling from Heaven might mean actual bright and glowing stars. That’s not the case. Jesus explained that code in the first chapter, verse 20: “The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”
In other places those angels could be interpreted as ‘people’ or believers. Some are not necessarily believers in Christ. ‘Stars’ written in this book are not necessarily the ‘bright stars’ we see in the nighttime sky.
Ephesus was the church on the sea coast nearest to John’s location on Patmos. It was considered the ‘most beautiful city’ and the church where John last taught before his exile. He brought Mary to Ephesus after the crucifixion. A site high on a hill above Ephesus is identified as the place of her last home. A foundation was unearthed there, and the home was rebuilt. You can see a photo of that house, and learn many other interesting things about ‘Ephesus’ on an internet search. I visited the site in 1973, while in the military, assigned to Turkey. I eventually visited the sites of all seven of those ancient churches.
The towns all have different names now, or are only ruins near a city by another name. For example, Pergamos is now identified as Bergama. Smyrna is now known as Izmir. Ephesus is near Seljuk. Sardis is near Salihli. The ruins of Philadelphia are only a few old arched stone structures locked behind two large gates in the town of Alasehir. The ruins of Laodicea rests in a plain below an old Roman resort named Pamukale, in the hills above near Hierapolis. Thyatira exists of a few stone ruins in the city of Akhisar. John begins his letters to the seven churches in the first chapter, Verse 4:
“John to the seven churches which are in Asia; Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne.” This is the first introduction of the ‘Seven Spirits.’ There is no suggestion or indication what they are or what they might be. Jesus is the one John references as ‘which is, and was, and which is to come,’ referring to his birth, death, and his return as the Messiah in the future. Those seven Spirits are also coded, and I will reveal them as soon as I can put some of the other pieces together where they might have more understanding and meaning.
The Seven Spirits of God; what are they? After they are introduced in the reference above, their mention continues throughout Revelation:
“3:1, And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou has a name, that thou livist, and art dead.
3:6, 3:13, 3:22: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
4:2, And immediately I was in the Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
4:5, And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
5:6, And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
5:12, Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessings.”
Some important information is scattered and coded in Revelation, and when placed in a certain order seems to give a clearer message, although still not perfectly clear as would be stated in current language. In this case, it seems the seven Spirits are very important in God’s realm. They are mentioned several times in key positions, and all those positions seem interrelated.
Reference 5:12 says the Lamb, Jesus, was slain to receive those seven things. The earlier reference 5:6 says the Lamb had those seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the world. Into “all the world” must mean the world of believers. If God and Jesus already had those things just for themselves why would they send them into all the world if not for other people, believers, to be influenced by them or use them as blessings? Simply, they would serve no other purpose except to be acknowledged and or used. The questions: do we acknowledge those seven Spirits given to us, and how are we prepared to use them?
Perhaps John’s written statement in 4:2 gives a condition that must exist before one can receive the seven Spirits. “And immediately I was in the Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” What is the clue to receiving those seven spirits? John’s statement that he was in the Spirit would suggest that to receive something from God, one must be in the spirit of God. Perhaps this implies, or strongly purports, that one must be a believer to allow a channel to receive those gifts, including the gifts of the seven Spirits with all their blessings. Perhaps they must be explored separately and individually? Power is the first spirit acknowledged in reference 5:12, so let’s consider how power could be one of the spirits given to us, and what it might suggest.
There are many viewpoints from which to consider the word power. The first that ordinarily comes to mind is physical might or force; having the power to overcome some physical force or obstacle. But, a physical power initiated against another person or another religion or thought would be totally contrary to God’s teaching. In Godliness, we should never initiate physical force, or power, against another. So what could be the meaning of this power expressed in John’s writings? Could it be the power of words, actions and deeds? Could it be something possessed individually, or in a group? Could the answer be – both? And, could there be an important exception?
Clearly there’s an intrinsic power in the mere acceptance of the Christian idea. The words of God, the sacrifice of Jesus, and the Spirit that binds true Christians together form that power. Others, the non-believers and others, who attack the Spirit of that power, are fearful of the belief in that Spirit. For those, the Spirit that binds Christians together is a force of power they don’t understand; and since they don’t understand it or refuse to accept it, it’s a force that must be destroyed. It’s a power that binds humanity; a power that prevents anarchy and destruction of human benevolence.
It’s the power that represents the significance of humans in the realm of God and his creation. That universal power of the ‘church’ is necessary to maintain its existence. Those refusing to acknowledge the Spirit are guided and influenced by worldliness and physical things they can only see and touch; and perhaps with a touch of recognition of their fellow man; within limitations. There is no common relationship that binds them to the existence of life other than what they see and feel. They refuse to let the Spirit enter into their beings so they may feel part of the greater creation. Although not clearly or totally connected, two other verses in Revelation are references that might explain this power concept even further. They are Chapter 2, Verse 26, and Chapter 20, Verse 4:
Chapter 2, Verse 26: “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations;” The next verses explain further, but are certainly more cryptic.
Chapter 20, Verse 4: “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
The reference in Chapter 2 directly points to the use of power. The reference in Chapter 20 suggests the final use of that power. Of course, many verses in Revelation refer to other conditions or situations that occur before or after the referenced verse, as do these two references.
The first reference, Chapter 2, has a clearer meaning and more understanding after reading two later verses in Chapter 22. Verse 2 refers to the healing of the nations; those nations mentioned in the first reference. The comment, “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end…” have more clarity after reading verse 7 in Chapter 22; “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”
The verse in Chapter 20 referring to “the souls of them that were beheaded” refers back to Chapter 13. This chapter gives specific information about the beast (the antichrist) and the second beast (the false prophet.) In this reference, the second beast causes mankind to worship an image of the antichrist and to have a mark upon themselves to buy and sell; known as the ‘mark of the beast.’ According to the reference, those who refuse to worship the beast or accept the mark will be killed – beheaded.
There is some confusion in this phrasing and in another reference that addresses the thousand years, often called the ‘Millennium,’ when those raised up will rule with God in Heaven. Some interpret this as the time of ‘Rapture’ when the last believers on earth will be swept away and disappear into Heaven – avoiding the time of great perdition. This is the basis of the ‘Left Behind’ series of articles. The idea that people will suddenly disappear from earth ‘leaving others behind’ is totally fallacious according to scripture. The word or the concept of the rapture does not exist in the Bible. This misinterpretation is from the concept of the first resurrection and the second resurrection.
The first resurrection will be for the souls of those killed and beheaded for refusing to worship the image of the beast or to accept his mark. Only these souls will be carried away – resurrected – at this time. Their bodies will not be included in something called the ‘rapture’ by those who don’t understand the full meaning of the first resurrection and the second resurrection. The second resurrection will be for all others, before and after, the thousand years Satan is locked away, below, in the pits of fire.
Does that Spirit, Power, really exist? Can believers who have been blessed with it actually feel it within themselves? How is it manifested otherwise?
Christians who have accepted the Word of God know this power; they understand it and they feel it. It’s something that glows within their character as others see them and watch them. Although others might claim they are foolish and uninformed in their belief, nevertheless they watch and listen in awe as a real Christian walks in God’s light. It’s an unseen and unspoken power, a blessing that expresses God’s glory. This power shines so brightly that it must be destroyed by others who follow the persuasions of a ‘strange’ god. Who is this strange god, and where did he come from? This ‘strange’ god was identified in Daniel, Chapter 11, verses 38 and 39. In these verses, Daniel is speaking of the Beast, also known in other parts of the Bible as the Antichrist.
Verse 38: “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.”
Verse 39: “Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.” This strange god will be discussed in more detail in a later chapter. For now, let’s consider another Spirit of God. That’s the blessing of Strength.
This quote from Chapter 17 suggests why Strength is necessary for Christians and Jews to ‘hold fast’ to the true Word. There are other references in Revelation that indicate many Jewish people will accept Christ in their Jewish belief. Specifically, 144,000 will be converted, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes.
Certainly, Jewish people who worship God, and refuse to accept Jesus as the Messiah will also be given the Strength to persevere through these difficult times. Everyone who worships God will be challenged in those final days of prophesy. According to John’s writing, that strange god and his religion will be very appealing. The religion, itself, is described as a woman; one of the two religions cryptically referenced in Revelation. Chapter 17 begins with an angel describing that woman:
“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgement of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters;”
Verse 4 continues: “…a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:”
Verse 5 adds, “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Verse 6 is clear and indisputable. It describes exactly who the second woman (religion) is – the one that will wage war against Christians and Jews in that Great War. “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”
The angel was puzzled by John’s reaction and acceptance of the woman with ‘great admiration.’ In the next verse, the angel asked: “And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thy marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.”
Verse 8 adds: “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and into perdition;…” Verse 11 repeats this identification:
“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”
In summary, the appeal to accept this woman, this religion of the strange god, is very strong. She comes with many great promises and gifts. One must be strong enough; one must have that Spirit blessing of strength to resist the temptation to resist her great calling to join her. That woman is the beast described in Revelation. That woman is the religion Islam, led and guided by that strange god Satan.
But, to have effective power and strength one must have wisdom to understand their use. That Spirit of Wisdom will be discussed next.
Wisdom is another Spirit from God offered to the world, especially the world of believers; those who trust and worship Him and his offer of salvation and eternal life. Perhaps the Spirit of Wisdom is not only a gift but also a responsibility to use that gift. Perhaps God, in his great wisdom, knows that humans are fundamentally weak – in the light of all things – and must be granted wisdom to understand things that affect each individual as well as all humanity. We must have wisdom to see; and to avoid traps and persuasions.
The call to understand (to have wisdom) begins in the first chapter of Revelation. Verse 3 states, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein; for the time is at hand.” Does this warning not say in simple terms, “Pay attention to those things happening around you – for they will affect your life?”
In beginning the letters to the seven churches in Chapter 2, Verse 7, John writes from the Words, “He that hath and ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” This warning of ‘let him hear what the Spirit saith’ is repeated several more times in his letters to the churches.
Then, in Chapter 2, Verses 20-22, he writes something that seems very coded until it’s associated with another reference in Chapter 17. Verses 20-22 begins, “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21, “And I gave her space to repent of her fornications; and she repented not. 22, Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.”
Although these references are presented early in Revelation in John’s letters to the seven churches, that’s not necessarily the only target of his writings. The woman identified above is the same woman (religion) identified in Chapter 17, which clearly refers to a later time; a time after the seven plagues of the Apocalypse.
Chapter 17 begins, “…Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgments of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters; 2, With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. Verse 5 continues: “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Verse 6, “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus”
Chapter 2, Verse 20 includes the comment, “…and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” Below are two comments that describe an Islamic practice regarding their Halal food:
“Here at Halal Choices we are concerned with the halal slaughter of animals such as beef, lamb and poultry. To be halal certified the animal must be facing Mecca, have its throat cut while still alive and then ritually sacrificed by a Muslim who recites a prayer dedicating the slaughter to Allah. Because the animals must be slaughtered alive, stun guns are often not an option as they can kill an animal before the heart pumps out all the blood.” Notice that the animal must be facing Mecca. Might not Mecca, and the process, be considered an ‘idol?’
And according to Wikipedia: ”Foods that are not halal for Muslims to consume as per various Quranic verses are: Pork, Blood, Intoxicants and alcoholic beverages. Animals killed incorrectly and/or without Allah’s name being pronounced before eating. Animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but “Allah”. All that has been dedicated or offered in sacrifice to an idolatrous altar or saint or a person considered to be “divine.”
Notice the use of the word ‘saint.’ Now, remember the writing from Chapter 17, Verse 6: “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints,…” And, could the mention of ‘a person considered to be “divine” mean none other than God? Could Mecca be the symbol of that idol mentioned in Chapter 2 and Chapter 17?
Furthermore, considering wisdom and the resulting responsibility there from, should we not use that wisdom to observe and interpret events surrounding us that support the purposes of that other woman – that harlot? God has given us that wisdom for that purpose. Should we ignore to use it; or should we consider all those events happening around us; events that seem uneventful and unimportant? Or should we question events that are surely associated with the growth and influence of that other ‘woman?’
How much respect, awe, and support are we giving the Islamic religion today? (Remember John’s words in 17:6, “: And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”) Is that support not growing – rapidly? Are those who consider themselves Christians refusing or ignoring to use the God-given gift of Wisdom to recognize this Islamic beast whose plan is to destroy everything and everyone who is of God? Those in the Spirit will understand that blessing of Wisdom given to us through those Spirits. It’s the wisdom to understand God’s sworn enemy. Satan swore to end God’s time in heaven; Islam is his tool to attempt that evil mission.
Now let’s understand the blessing of Riches. That will be discussed next.
The concept or idea of Riches being one of the seven Spirits of God is introduced and reinforced in John’s letter to the Church at Laodicea. It begins in Chapter 3, Verse 15, “I know they works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.” Verse 16, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.”
Verse 17 introduces the concept of richness: “Because thou sayeth, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” (Laodicea was an economic trade area, where people came to sell and trade their goods. Most were comparatively wealthy based on the wool and textile trade. They were also renowned for preparing and selling special eye salves.)
Verse 18 continues, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve that thou mayest see.”
The writing about neither hot nor cold, white raiment and eye salve have no particular relationship to riches, the riches of the Spirit of the Seven Spirits. They are merely conditions associated with the location and economics of Laodicea at that time. The riches identified in one of the seven spirits are different.
As introduced above, John was writing about riches given by God, not of earthly things. Chapter 2 also exposes the idea of this different kind of riches. Verse 8: “And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last which was dead, and is alive, Verse 9: “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” For the church at Smyrna, the writing concludes: Verse 10, “…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Verse 11 repeats the caution: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Perhaps the clearest meaning of the statement regarding riches is indicated by a verse in Chapter 21. Verse 11 states: “Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” The identification of ‘her light’ is identified in Verse 9 as “…the bride, the Lamb’s wife,” meaning the church – the religion of Christianity.
Although the subject of “Riches” might seem somewhat confusing to those who have not used their ears to ‘let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches,’ those who have listened, with intention, understand and feel those riches. Those riches are not those earned by their hands and worldly efforts – they are the riches of the soul and spirit offered by God. Let’s consider just a few:
Is not free will a blessing? When God put mankind on earth He didn’t program them and their descendants to act, think, feel, and respond robotically or without feelings of everything around them. He gave them the ability and the vision to make personal and individual choices. The first example is the actions of Adam and Eve in the ‘Garden of Eden’ when they defied God’s admonition against eating the forbidden fruit. Convinced by the Serpent, Satan, that eating that fruit was normal, they choose to defy the Word of God, The God who made them. God allowed them to make that choice – just as everyone has the ability and the freedom to make that choice today; to accept His Word or not to accept His Word.
An Interactive Society:
Just imagine what life would be like if our lives were kept internal, and focused only on food, drink, and shelter; without the ability to interact with other humans – and animals. That interaction, from a stoic viewpoint might be unnecessary for basic survival, but it’s certainly necessary to survive as a participant on the earth and in the cosmos. Humans, created by God, must have interaction – one of the great riches granted us to be fully human, and a representation in the Spirit of God. If this were not true – why does man expand space exploration in search of others with whom to interact and to share the Spirit of God? This is a richness, granted to us, that must be explored and expanded. Likely, that search will continue forever and forever. This suggests another richness; curiosity.
Shouldn’t we consider curiosity one of the riches granted by God? Just think how boring life would be if we didn’t have a curious mind that leads us to new and different things – and different knowledge. Would knowledge ever have any meaning unless led and fed by curiosity? It’s like a rope pulling us out of deep water or a deep hole of nothingness. We must be fulfilled; we must find answers to questions and situations to feel more complete and to develop higher regard for ourselves and our fellow humans. Curiosity also leads us to other riches; that of fulfillment.
Fulfillment is the result of accomplishing ‘rightness.’ What would life be if without the opportunity to achieve fulfillment – to accomplish something from one’s determined efforts? This is often identified as ‘accomplishing a goal’ but it’s not exactly the same thing. Accomplishing the goal, if designed for a positive purpose, ordinarily wanes and drifts into the past. It’s a point in time that denotes achievement of something seen, imagined, or that has a definite measuring point. The feeling of fulfillment lasts longer. It becomes part of the spirit that allows one to judge his or her feelings of himself or herself against the self-accepted intentions for one’s purpose of life. Without a purpose, without goals, without fulfillment, life would be for just existing; what would be the purpose for waking up each morning; what would be the purpose of opening one’s eyes to look at the new sunrise to plan activities for fulfillment that day and every day? Is it not a richness to have something to accomplish? Ordinarily, that involves the concept of ‘work.’ The Bible mentions the importance and the responsibility for people to work for their bread.
From the Spirit of God, and through the grace of the Lamb, Jesus, and his sacrifice; Blessings have gone out to all the world to affect and enrich our daily lives. Many of these blessings are acknowledged, almost remotely without deep thought when we ‘say the blessing’ before each meal, or when we say our nightly prayers. The most common are ‘for this food we are about to take’ or ‘thank you for this day that I have lived.’ These are important blessings, but they are by far not the only blessings bestowed upon us. There are many others we take for granted, and consider only a part of our daily lives.
Of course, the first blessing is creation itself. God created the universe for his own pleasure and glory. Within that creation, he made the sun and the moon and all the stars. We look up at the sky; in the darkness we see the blessed moon glow and the billions of stars looking back at us. Can you even imagine what the night sky would be like without that blessed gift? It would be only nothingness before your eyes. I can give an example of that feeling from my childhood.
As a child I lived almost two miles from downtown Union, Mississippi on a dirt road named Gordon Road. The road was named for a man who owned the property my mother bought when I was five years old. It was an unpaved road, part of which went through a swampy area with many overhanging trees. (Now that area has been drained and serves as one of the town’s ball parks. It even has one of the Navy’s old Blue Angel’s exhibition planes displayed there.)
When I got older my younger brother and I often had to walk past that swampy area going to and from town to see a movie, or to attend a normal school event such as a ball game. It was always dark when we walked along the road through the swamp. On those nights when there wasn’t moon glow, and when the clouds or haze obscured the stars, we walked through in pitch black. We progressed largely by memory and the feel of the dirt road, understanding that if we stayed in the deeper ruts we would maintain a straight line. Of course, we made sure we shuffled our steps as loudly as we could so any snakes coiled on the warmer roadway would hear us coming and move into the swamp. I guess it worked because I never felt my feet step on one, and we never got snake bit. However, that wasn’t the strangest part.
The strangest part which I remember well was the total feeling of nothingness – detachment from life; from creation and reality. In almost total pitch darkness nothing exists before your eyes. It’s as if you were walking in the darkness of space where there is not distance of definition of any object. Thinking back in that darkness it’s easy now for me to realize the importance of the moon and the stars. When they are visible, they give definition and distances of things. Things exist and are seen. It’s a blessing to understand that your body, your self-awareness, is positioned in a certain place on this earth; a real blessing.
Even the night time itself is a blessing. Not only does it allow an equalization of temperatures on the face of the earth, it also allows certain other important things to happen. One of the more important things is rest; a time for the body to adjust and repair itself. Again, I digress to my youth for a clear example when I worked in the cotton field.
From age twelve to sixteen I worked in the family field and garden. And, since I was the oldest son, having an invalid step-father, I did most of the heavy farm work; which included plowing behind a mule in the four-acre cotton field. In those days if a family had any acreage it was traditional to raise cotton. This was 1950 -1955. Also, at that time and place the school year was only eight months; from September to April. Seriously, this was to allow school-age children in that area to help the family plant crops in the spring-time. During the three hottest months it was too dangerous to plow farm animals too long in the sun. Many died from heat stroke if they weren’t allowed to rest early evening and at night. That blessing was for the work animals as well as for those using those work animals.
Another blessing unknown at that time was boll weevils. Thanks to the boll weevil many small unprofitable farms stopped that unprofitable and difficult tradition.
Today, as you drive through the state of Mississippi you don’t see the small cotton farms that lined the highways and byways before the 1960s. Yes, nighttime is a blessing.
Although some believe the earth and the sun are merely parts of the ‘big bang’ and evolution, not creation, they were put in their places for a purpose; to be a blessing. The sun is a blessing that allows and creates other blessings. It gives energy for all things on earth – especially for food. Without the sun there would be no food; we would all starve. In our daily prayers we often give thanks for the food we have, but rarely do we ever give thanks for the blessing that allows that food; the sun.
And speaking of the sun, it’s also a blessing that the sun is the perfect distance from the earth to allow what we have, including food. If the sun were any closer we would all burn. The earth would be parched to a crisp. If the sun were farther away, everything on earth, including us, would freeze. We couldn’t live here. Is that not a blessing?
Even the earth, the soil, is a blessing. Without it we would have no place to stand, and a place upon which to build our houses and drive our cars. And along with the earth and soil we have the blessing of discernment. We can move what we want to the soil that allows or supports it, or we can move the soil to another place for a more useful and supportive purpose.
And certainly we can’t forget about water. Without water we could not exist, since our physical bodies are mostly water. Without water, if we existed at all, we would be only a few minerals scattered about the earth; perhaps locked inside a rock, or traveling forever in some continuous wind. Yes, one of God’s Spirits is Blessings. There are Blessing within us and within everything surrounding us. Just being allowed to open our eyes to see those things is, in itself, a blessing.
There are too many to even consider. Perhaps life itself, and its beginning, is the greatest gift – the greatest blessing of all. And considering those things from God we must also consider the Spirits of honor and glory. They will be considered next.
Honor and Glory
If we trust that the Spirits identified above were sent forth into all the world, then we must believe the other two, honor and glory, were sent forth into all the world as well. This is that reference again: Revelation 5:6:
“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.” Reference 5:12 listed those seven Spirits:
“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessings.”
How are we mirrors or reflections of that honor and glory? Perhaps 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 gives a clue: 16, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” 17, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are…” If we are “the temple of God” then perhaps God’s Spirit is within us. If that Spirit is within us, then we possess through him that honor and glory.
If God’s Spirit lives within each of us who accept Him, then each of us might receive honor and glory simply by accomplishing those things to better serve His purpose and His designs. And how do we accomplish that task for ourselves by that commandment? The 1Corinthians references give a definitive clue. We must do something: plant something, build something, make something, accomplish something that will deliver honor and glory to God and that part of ourselves that possesses that honor and glory – in the image of God. Perhaps the short answer is to do something for yourself – in the light of God. Don’t be lazy and dependant on others to take care of you. Plant something; and God will help you water it.
Perhaps that lack of understanding to validate oneself in the eyes of God allows those to become lazy and ignore warning signs all around of those prophesied things to come. That greatest warning, the coming tribulation, will be analyzed next.
The purpose for the Book of Revelation is to reveal; particularly those horrible events that are to happen to those who follow the Words of God and Christ. There are two great messages within those Words. Those messages are: to hold fast to the Word of God and do not despair of the coming tribulation; and to prepare for those horrible times – do not be embarrassed by being caught naked when that time arrives like a thief in the night – unknown. Although we are told no one knows the day or the hour; information is given to plan for an approximate time. The time description comes mainly from the Book of Daniel. Before we go to Daniel, however, let’s first visit the Words to those Seven Churches in Asia to which John wrote those seven letters. Understanding the hidden cautions in those letters will help interpret that information given by Daniel.
In the Book of Revelation, John was instructed to write letters to seven churches in Asia. John was exiled on the island of Patmos which is located just off the coast of what is now Turkey. Those churches were also near the western coast of Turkey, not far from Patmos. Those were the churches at Ephesus, Sardis, Pergamum, Laodicea, Thyatira, Philadelphia, and Smyrna. Since the Book of Revelation is also called the Apocalypse, we should consider the possibility that information and instructions aimed at those seven churches, existing at that time, would also apply to churches, Christians, even today. After all, the purpose for the book of Revelation is to give an overview of the end times. What purpose would the letters serve if not as a warning for something to come?
John’s first letter is to Ephesus. In Chapter 2 he writes, “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” In verse 7 he cautions, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
His next letter is addressed to Smyrna. In this letter John lists some adversities of those citizens, then in Verse 10 writes, “…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Again he adds, in Verse 11, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” The second death can be understood by knowing the description of the first death. The first death includes the souls of those who are killed because they did not accept the ‘mark of the beast’ or worship the image of the beast. This is explained in Chapter 13: verses15-18. The second death includes all others before and after that time. This is also known as the ‘second resurrection’ for those whose names are written in the ‘book of life.’
The letter to Pergamos is similar to the others, but is somewhat different; as are all the letters somewhat different from the others. Verse 12 includes something new, “…These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges.” The sword has been mentioned before as coming from his (Jesus’) mouth. From his mouth is not mentioned here. Verse 13 continues, “I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is; and thou holdest fast my name…”
Pergamos, also called Pergamum by the Greeks, was the home of a famous medical center. It was dedicated to the Greek god of healing, named Asclepius. His symbol was the familiar serpent coiled on a staff that’s still used today to represent medicine. The entrance to the medical center was decorated with a giant frieze of a serpent, which also represents Satan in the Bible. Hence, the ‘seat of Satan.’ Still, today, carved over the doorway are the words, “In the name of the gods, Death may not enter here.”
The letter adds in Verse 17, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written…”
An important part here begins with verse 20, “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman, Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21, And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22, Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.”
There is no specific reference as to the identity of this Jezebel. Gotquestions.org proposed one idea:
“After identifying Himself, Jesus affirms the church’s positive actions: “I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first” (Revelation 2:19). Five qualities are listed: 1) love, 2) faith, 3) service, 4), patient endurance, and 5) greater works.
Next, Jesus notes their sin: “Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols” (Revelation 2:20). Apparently, a false prophetess was leading believers into compromise. The church was engaging in sexual immorality and dabbling in idolatry. It is possible that “Jezebel” was her real name, but it is more likely the name was a metaphorical reference to the Jezebel of the Old Testament—another idolatrous woman who opposed God’s ways. Rather than rebuke this false teacher and send her out of the church, the believers in Thyatira were allowing her to continue her deception.
Jesus pronounces judgment on this “Jezebel” and calls the church of Thyatira to repent of their sin: “I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead” (Revelation 2:22-23).
Then Jesus encourages those who had remained faithful: “Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets (I will not impose any other burden on you): Only hold on to what you have until I come” (Revelation 2:24-25). The faithful believers did not fall into Satan’s trap, and they only needed to remain faithful until Christ’s return.”
Was this an admonition for the members of that specific church to “hold fast” or to members of all churches? Jesus used the identification; “that woman.” Was this to identify another Jezebel – or the same woman identified in Chapter 17 “drunken with the blood of the saints?” Other information connects this possibility. This is from Wikipedia:
“Among the ancient ruins of the city, inscriptions have been found relating to the guild of dyers in the city. Indeed, more guilds are known in Thyatira than any other contemporary city in the Roman province of Asia (inscriptions mention the following: wool-workers, linen-workers, makers of outer garments, dyers, leather-workers, tanners, potters, bakers, slave-dealers, and bronze-smiths).”
This is a description of the ‘woman’ in Chapter 17, Verse 4:
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.”
Perhaps Jesus was not speaking only and directly to that church in Thyatira. Could He also have been cautioning us about that ‘woman’ that threatens our salvation today with ‘her’ religion and that prophesy?
In closing, the letter says, “But that which ye have already, hold fast until I come.” Verse 29 adds again, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” It doesn’t say, “the Seven Churches.”
The letter to Sardis begins with another call to repent. Verse 3 continues, “If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
Verse 5 adds, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” Verse 6 repeats the admonition, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” The white raiment and book of life will be described later in this writing.
After the introduction, Jesus says in Verse 8, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it; for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”
Then he calls out the liars and hypocrites in Verse 9, “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”
Verse 10 gives another strong clue that Jesus is speaking to everyone, in all times, when He says, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Verse 11 repeats other warnings, “Behold, I come quickly; hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
Verse 13, again, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;” not just the seven churches of Revalation.
This is the church that was charged with being ‘neither hot nor cold.’ In the chapter, Jesus continued: verse 19, “As many as I love, I rebuke, and chasten; be zealous therefore, and repent. 20, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and have sup with him, and he with me. 21, To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22, again, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Clearly, these letters to the seven churches were not just for those seven churches. In fact, the question might be asked if those letters were ever delivered to those churches and how were they delivered since followers of Jesus were being persecuted at that time. That’s why John had been exiled to Patmos; and Paul had just been beheaded in Rome. Paul was not crucified because he was the Roman citizen, Saul. Timothy, who was with Paul, was crucified in Rome. There is no record of their final destination; except to be included as a Book of the Bible. So, from careful analysis and comparing those words to the Words in Revelation and the Words of the Olivet Discourse, it’s very clear those letters were addressed to our current time; to you and me. Therefore, let’s consider how we should respond to those admonitions and warnings; and the time. That time warning comes from Daniel.
Daniel’s prophesy was mentioned in the Olivet Discourse; in Matthew, Chapter 24, verse 15. This is that reference:
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17) Let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.”
This warning to be ready is also included in Revelation several times. Chapter 16, verse 15 says: “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”
The warnings are clear for Jews and Christians. 1. A horrible event will occur; and it will be so severe it will be labeled apocalyptic. 2. Be ready because that event could happen at any time.
Although the day and the hour will not be known to anyone before it happens; there are clues to indicate a time approximate. Obviously, those prophesies are presented for that purpose; otherwise what’s the purpose for a prophesy? With that in consideration, let’s try to piece together some time information about that horrible event that’s prophesied to occur. The beginnings of that prophesy and the related time frame start in the Book of Daniel. Corresponding and related time clues are also associated in Revelation. So, let’s begin with Daniel’s words; written 500 years before Revelation.
The explanation of Daniel’s vision begins in Chapter 9, verse 21. It describes the angel Gabriel’s visit to him: “Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” (The oblation is what might be called the Holy Communion.) Verse 22 continues:
“And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.”
The next few verses are very cryptic and provide time sequences of certain events. It’s uncertain if the times described are the earlier destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon in 586 B.C. or that destruction of Jerusalem by Rome in 70 A.D. Since Daniel was serving the kings of Persia, beginning with Nebuchadnezzar who had just destroyed Jerusalem; Daniel’s vision would have been of the destruction by Rome in 70 A.D., or of the destruction prophesied to be later.
At the time of Daniel’s vision about the abomination of desolation, he was serving King Cyrus, who had succeeded the prior king. Cyrus was the father of later to come, King Xerxes; the one who later conquered Sparta in Greece as depicted in the movie; The Spartan 300. The verses that correspond with other parts of the same prophesy begin with verse26 in Chapter 9:
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince (Satan: prince with a lower case p represents Satan. Prince with an upper case P signifies Christ) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.”
Two words in this reference begin to show a time approximate for the beginning of that great battle prophesied; the one we have been expecting as the ‘Battle of Armageddon.’ That first word is ‘covenant.’ The second key word is ‘midst.’ So, let’s begin with the word covenant.
During the first two destructions of Jerusalem, there were no covenants before those vicious attacks. Jerusalem was just viciously overwhelmed. In this new event, the one prophesied still to occur, there is a covenant. The one identified above says ‘with many for one week.’ That one week is generally interpreted by many others as seven years; since it’s not reasonable to imagine a major covenant only for seven days. Is that anything we can currently associate with that covenant ‘by many’ for seven years? Absolutely; it’s that Iranian nuclear deal made with Iran by seven (many) other countries. Although the agreement does not specifically indicate seven years, there are many provisions that could involve seven years; it’s a very time complicated agreement. Let’s consider those terms. This is from Wikipedia:
Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action
“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, known commonly as the Iran deal or Iran nuclear deal, is an international agreement on the nuclear program of Iran reached in Vienna on 14 July 2015 between Iran, the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany), and the European Union.
Formal negotiations toward the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear program began with the adoption of the Joint Plan of Action, an interim agreement signed between Iran and the P5+1 countries in November 2013. For the next twenty months, Iran and the P5+1 countries engaged in negotiations, and in April 2015 agreed on a Iran nuclear deal framework for the final agreement and in July 2015, Iran and the P5+1 agreed on the plan.
Under the agreement, Iran agreed to eliminate its stockpile of medium-enriched uranium, cut its stockpile of low-enriched uranium by 98%, and reduce by about two-thirds the number of its gas centrifuges for 13 years. For the next 15 years, Iran will only enrich uranium up to 3.67%. Iran also agreed not to build any new heavy-water facilities for the same period of time. Uranium-enrichment activities will be limited to a single facility using first-generation centrifuges for 10 years. Other facilities will be converted to avoid proliferation risks. To monitor and verify Iran’s compliance with the agreement, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will have regular access to all Iranian nuclear facilities. The agreement provides that in return for verifiably abiding by its commitments, Iran will receive relief from U.S., European Union, and United Nations Security Council nuclear-related economic sanctions.
Main article: Negotiations leading to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action:
The agreement between the P5+1+EU and Iran on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is the culmination of 20 months of “arduous” negotiations.
The agreement followed the Joint Plan of Action (JPA), an interim agreement between the P5+1 powers and Iran that was agreed to on 24 November 2013 at Geneva. The Geneva agreement was an interim deal, in which Iran agreed to roll back parts of its nuclear program in exchange for relief from some sanctions. This went into effect on 20 January 2014. The parties agreed to extend their talks with a first extension deadline on 24 November 2014 and a second extension deadline set to 1 July 2015.
An Iran nuclear deal framework was reached on 2 April 2015. Under this framework Iran agreed tentatively to accept restrictions on its nuclear program, all of which would last for at least a decade and some longer, and to submit to an increased intensity of international inspections under a framework deal. These details were to be negotiated by the end of June 2015. The negotiations toward a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action were extended several times until the final agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, was finally reached on 14 July 2015. The JCPOA is based on the framework agreement from three months earlier.
Subsequently the negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 continued. In April 2014, a framework deal was reached at Lausanne. Intense marathon negotiations then continued, with the last session in Vienna at the Palais Coburg lasting for seventeen days. At several points, negotiations appeared to be at risk of breaking down, but negotiators managed to come to agreement. As the negotiators neared a deal, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry directly asked Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to confirm that he was “authorized to actually make a deal, not just by the [Iranian] president, but by the supreme leader?” Zarif gave assurances that he was.
Ultimately, on 14 July 2015, all parties agreed to a landmark comprehensive nuclear agreement. At the time of the announcement, shortly before 11:00 GMT, the agreement was released to the public.
The final agreement’s complexity shows the impact of a public letter written by a bipartisan group of 19 U.S. diplomats, experts, and others in June 2015, written when negotiations were still going on. That letter outlined concerns about the several provisions in the then-unfinished agreement and called for a number of improvements to strengthen the prospective agreement and win their support for it. After the final agreement was reached, one of the signatories, Robert J. Einhorn, a former U.S. Department of State official now at the Brookings Institution, said of the agreement: “Analysts will be pleasantly surprised. The more things are agreed to, the less opportunity there is for implementation difficulties later on.”
The final agreement is based upon (and buttresses) “the rules-based nonproliferation regime created by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and including especially the IAEA safeguards system.”
Now, in conclusion, doesn’t this deal make you feel very secure about the intentions of Iran? Certainly they are very peace-loving people and wouldn’t harm a fly on your nose. Whoops! Perhaps they would behead you in an attempt to destroy that fly. And, perhaps their intentions toward Israel and the world are just as honorable. Okay, now let’s put the time lines together to show, as Daniel writes, that the abomination of desolation will occur at the ‘midst’ of this Iranian Agreement (covenant.)
Daniel, Chapter 12 adds more information about the time. Verse 7 begins that time information:
“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, (waters refer to humankind) when he held up his right hand an his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.” (Satan also raised his hand to heaven and swore that God’s time in heaven would be no more. But, in his other hand he held a little book – that Koran, as he spoke. That will be explained later. It’s in Revelation, Chapter 10.)
Verse 11 provides another time link: “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. (That 3 and a half years.) So, how do we know that ‘time, times, and half a time’ is three and a half years? For that answer we go to Revelation, Chapter 12.
Chapter 12 is a story that describes the birth of Jesus, and the beginnings of Christianity; described as a woman. Under persecution immediately; verse 6 explains, “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” That’s when Joseph and Mary took Jesus to Egypt for protection. After that time they returned to Nazareth instead of Bethlehem, to remain partially hidden from Herod’s son who had replaced him as king of Judea. That’s why Jesus was called ‘the Nazarene.’
Within this story in Chapter 12 is the event of Satan being cast out of heaven by Michael and his angels. Verse 12 gives the conclusion of Satan’s expulsion, “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and he that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
The story in Chapter 12 continues. Christianity was persecuted for 350 years until Constantine (‘two wings of a great eagle;’ an eagle being the symbol of Rome) offered Christianity protection for another 350 years (Verse 14 – time, times and half a time.) Adding those times together we move forward to 700 AD. That’s when Islam was formed as a result of Muhammad’s influence. He died in 632 after being poisoned by one of his wives he had captured from a man he had killed in one of his raids on a Christian community. Perhaps a fitting end to the one who was ‘the real’ antichrist. Claiming to replace Jesus is the purest definition of ‘antichrist.’
By associating these revelations of time sequences and time order; clearly a consideration of the numbers: one, two, and a half. In the case of the Iranian covenant; it will be abandoned by Iran in three and a half years after it was accepted. That’s when an abomination will sit in Jerusalem that will cause Jews and Christians to flee. That’s the sign that Israel will soon be attacked. That covenant was never formally signed; but it was initiated and strongly supported by Barack Hussein Obama, who claimed credit for accomplishing that beginning of abomination. Daniel, 12:4 states the covenant will be confirmed. It does not say the covenant will be signed.
But, how does Barack Obama fit into the big picture? That will be explained next from information in Revelation, Chapter 13. But, before we go there, let’s begin the next chapter with Satan’s threat to remove God’s time from heaven.
Beasts and Obama
Revelation, Chapter 12, includes the story of Satan being kicked out of heaven by Michael and his angels. The conclusion was happiness for those in heaven, but woe for those on the earth. To follow up on Satan’s actions when he was removed from heaven, we must turn to Chapter 10. It begins in the first verse from a vision through John:
“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.” In other words, Satan arrived trying to give the impression he was an angel of peace. The story of his arrival continues in the next verses:
“And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth.” The sea represents humanity, and the earth represents grounded in humanity. The story continues:
“And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.” Chapter 13, verse 2 also mentions that association with a lion. Chapter 13 describes the other beasts. But for now, we continue in Chapter 10:
“And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5) And the angel (Satan) which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6) And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.”
The next verses reveal that a voice from heaven told John to go take the little book from the angel’s hand and to, “Take it and eat it up.” Verse 10 gives John’s reaction to eating that little book, “And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey; and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.”
Can this be anything other than Satan’s little book, the Koran? Satan has given Islam this little book to pursue his goal of eliminating God’s time in heaven. Satan still wants to rule there; and Islam is his earthly tool to accomplish his goal. Islam boldly claims to be a ‘religion of peace’ (sweet in the mouth) but its actions are horror, death, and devastation; (bitter in the belly.) John was told not to write these words.
Satan’s three beasts are described throughout Revelation. The general beast, Islam, is exposed in the first verse of Chapter 13:
“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”
Again, the sea represents humanity. The sand of the sea and heads represent the seven continents of humanity. The ten crowns represent the ten formal Islamic kings. Verse 2 adds more description of the beast:
“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Verse 3 then gives a great clue to identify the antichrist, mentioned in Revelation only as the first beast, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”
This entry describes Muhammad. Muhammad was wounded in one of his battles by three arrows to the head, and by rocks that smashed his teeth. He fell as dead and his men left the battlefield. Later, Muhammad rose to his horse and rejoined his men where they had retreated. This event is explained in more detail in many of my recent books. Verse 4 adds even more:
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Then verses 5 and 6 show the great blasphemy, the critical clue that identifies Muhammad as the antichirst:
“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” The mere fact that Muhammad claimed he had a higher position in favor from God than did Christ unquestionably makes him ‘the’ antichrist. Verse 7 also gives a critical clue to this identity. It relates the beast, Islam, to the ‘woman’ Jezebel:
“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” The ties to this major clue are too great to ignore in this identification; therefore, we will return to the identity of the second beast, that False Prophet, after these other connections are made about the general beast, Islam. The reference above states ‘make war with the saints, and to overcome them.’ That reference ties to many other difficult connections. Let’s begin with Chapter 17.
Chapter 17 begins with an angel showing John, ‘the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’ John was then carried away in the spirit where he saw, ‘a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.’ Who is this woman; and what is this red beast? Chapter 2, beginning with verse20, defines the woman. Chapter 6, verse 4 defines the red beast. Let’s begin with Jezebel in Chapter 2.
To the church in Thyatira, John writes the Words, “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21) And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22) Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23) And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”
Three other letters to the churches mention the danger of false apostles, false Jews, and false prophets. In total, these letters are a warning against the false prophesy of Islam, which claims that Muhammad was not only a prophet, but ‘the’ true prophet of God. Therefore, this Jezebel is a reference to the falseness of Islam and Muhammad. Another clear confirmation of this conclusion is the mention of the red beast and Muslims and their children being ‘killed with death.’ For more of that definition, let’s go to the Chapter 6 reference:
This subject covers the breaking of the seven seals. “And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword.” Again, this is defining Muslims killing Muslims. But, how will that happen?
After defining Islam as “Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth” the next verse, 6, defines exactly who Jezebel, Babylon, and Islam are: “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” Can there be any question about these identities? Absolutely not! But, let’s not forget how they will kill one another. That’s also explained in Chapter 17, verses 16-17:
“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”
Clearly; the beast, Jezebel, and Babylon are one and the same. They are the representations of Islam; ‘drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.’ But what about that first beast and that second beast, the False Prophet? We have already defined that first beast as the antichrist, Muhammad. Chapter 13 gives more definition of that False Prophet. Who could he be? Revelation, Chapter 13 provides that answer.
Satan’s next helper is the second beast, also called the False Prophet. Not enough time has passed to positively identify this person, as is the case with Muhammad. In Muhammad’s case we can say ‘these things happened and with this person, therefore this is the conclusion.’ The conclusion has not been reached, to identify it with certainty; therefore we can only make certain assumptions to allow a best consideration to the identity of the false prophet. His introduction begins directly after the death of the first beast is announced in Chapter 13.
Immediately after the description of the death of this first beast, the antichrist, an introduction is given in the very next verse to announce the rise of the second beast, also known as the false prophet:
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” Then the key description of this person is revealed in the next verse, verse12:
“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
Not much is mentioned of this second beast in Revelation, except the few remaining verses in Chapter 13; which incidentally give the information about that ‘666 mark of the beast.’ He is mentioned in two other places regarding his fate after being judged and punished by Christ. These few verses in Chapter 13, however, offer the basis for much interpretation and understanding about events in our current time.
To begin to understand and interpret the identity of this second beast it’s important to consider every single word in those verses that describe his existence. This person is a deceiver of the highest order and pretends to be someone he’s not. He has two horns like a lamb, but he ‘spake as a dragon.’ For his great deceptions, he’s also known as the ‘false prophet,’ a deceiver who promotes the first beast.
It’s also important to recognize that, although he has the same power as the first beast, Muhammad, he doesn’t use that power in the same manner. Muhammad charged directly into the battle and made things happen; and he blatantly claimed to be on a higher order than Jesus. This second beast is not direct; by his actions or inactions he ‘causes’ things to happen. He does not claim to take the place of Jesus; instead, he claims to worship Christ, but in reality he worships the first beast as the true prophet. Verse 12 gives that information:
“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
Again, this verse mentions the identification of the first beast, Muhammad, ‘whose deadly wound was healed.’ It also says this second beast ‘exerciseth’ all the power of the first beast. In another verse it also says ‘not by his own power.’ Would this not suggest this second beast occupies a position of power where he can influence things and actions and ‘cause’ things to happen; not necessarily make things happen by his own activity? He does not use a sword to actually slay people.
Muhammad occupied a high leadership position and caused things to happen; but he also made things happen ‘by his own power.’ Muhammad carried a sword, which was obviously used to kill and behead people. This false prophet will not have the authority of the ‘sword’ but he will in some way control the use of that sword; as in the position of a world leader.
So, what have we learned about this second beast so far? First, that he worships the first beast; that antichrist, Muhammad. Second, he ‘had two horns like a lamb.’ This certainly suggests he will present himself as a man of peace; and he will claim to be a Christian trying to give the impression ‘like a lamb’ that he worships the true God. But by having the same power as the first beast, he is also a blasphemer and a deceiver. He will praise the beast and blaspheme God; while at the same time claiming to worship God as a Christian. A false prophet he is. But, what makes him a prophet; although false?
To answer that question we must first examine his belief system; and his statements and actions about Christ and his views and comments about that first beast and the religion he created; Islam. This is the religion guided by Satan who swore that God’s time in heaven would ‘be no longer.’ (Revelation 10:6) Explaining more is this article by Fred Lucas at Theblaze.com, titled, ‘Muslim Group’s Enthusiastic Invitation to Obama After Christianity Comments’ Feb. 6, 2015. This information is a strong indication that Barack Obama could occupy the position of that false prophet:
“The nation’s largest Muslim group is inviting President Barack Obama to visit an American mosque, enthusiastically embracing the president’s controversial comments at the National Prayer Breakfast this week comparing past Christian misdeeds to the Islamic State.
“We thank President Obama for clearly separating the brutal actions of ISIS from the faith of Islam and for reminding us all that violence and injustice are not parts of any faith,” said Nihad Awad, national executive director of the Council on American Islamic Relations, in a statement Friday. “We invite the president to show public support for American Muslims by making the symbolic but significant gesture of visiting an American mosque in this time of growing Islamophobia.”
At the prayer breakfast in Washington, Obama described the Islamic State as “a brutal, vicious death cult,” but went on to call out past misdeeds done in the name of Christianity.
“Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” Obama said. “In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
Obama met with 15 Muslim leaders at the White House Wednesday, but the White House has not yet released the names, only that they were “American Muslim leaders.”
This is only one example of Obama’s biased views and comments boosting the influence of Islam and denigrating the status of Christians; exactly as described in Revelation, Chapter 13 as the ‘false prophet.’ This is the man with ‘two horns of a Lamb’ pretending to be one of the Lamb (Christ) but speaking as a dragon to represent and promote that force of Satan represented by Islam. Let’s examine more proof that Obama worships that first beast.
This further evidence that Obama pays homage and respect to that false god, Satan, is described next; in his own words. It’s an article by Joshua Riddle at youngcons.com, titled: 40 Mind-blowing Quotes From Barack Obama about Islam and Christianity. This list was presented in my earlier books, but its significance is too important in this topic not to repeat it here. It reinforces the concept to ‘receive him not into your house.’ Speaking these words from his own mouth, Barack Obama has broken this doctrine. Each of these statements is pure blasphemy against Christ, the Son of God:
“#1 “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.”
These next 20 quotes by Barack Obama are about Christianity and the Bible. Notice the more negative, dismissive, and blasphemous tone. It’s the type of blasphemy expected from a false prophet. These are counter to what he would say if his religious belief were really Christianity:
#2 “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
(Author’s note: This admonition is not just from an ‘obscure line in Romans.’ It’s explained in detail in Leviticus. Chapter 18 gives many verses of sexual or sexually-oriented transgressions to avoid, and are considered abominations. Beginning with Verse 22 the admonitions are very specific. “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23) Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.” Verse 24 concludes that any nation that accepts these abominations is also defiled, “Defile not ye yourselves I any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you.” How can Obama claim this information is ‘obscure?’ Also, the comment in Romans is not obscure in itself. Read Romans, Chapter1, Verses 26-27.)
#10 “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”
#13 “Those opposed to abortion cannot simply invoke God’s will–they have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths.”
#16 “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology.”
(applause) — as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer. (Applause.)”
#20 “I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.” (Would a Christian say there are many different ways to get to Heaven? Absolutely not. A Christian knows the only way to get to Heaven is through Christ, the Son of God. To suggest there are other ways, such as through Islam, is blasphemy.)
In this list of twenty other different items, Obama made a statement that included the name, Isra. This is that statement from #19 above:
“All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer.” End of article.
This last statement alone is enough to qualify Barack Hussein Obama as that False Prophet. He equates Islam as one of the three Abrahamic religions. This is a false statement; since Islam’s god is that devil, Satan. Furthermore, the story from Islam is not that the three great religious leaders joined in prayer. The true and written episode is that Muhammad taught Moses and Jesus how to pray. Clearly, this statement expresses Obama’s intent for Muslims, even himself, to place something of abomination at the temple site sometime in the future. That will be the abomination of desolation.
Or has that abomination already been in place for many year in the form of the ‘Dome of the Rock?’ Wikipedia gives this information:
“The sacred rock over which the Dome of the Rock is built was considered holy before the arrival of Islam. Jews believed, and still believe, the rock to be the very place where Abraham prepared to sacrifice Isaac (an event which Muslims place in Mecca). In addition, the Dome of the Rock (or the adjacent Dome of the Chain) is believed by many to stand directly over the site of the Holy of Holies of both Solomon’s Temple and Herod’s Temple.
The Dome of the Rock was built by the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik from 688 to 691 AD. It was not intended to be a mosque, but a shrine for pilgrims. According to tradition, the Dome of the Rock was built to commemorate Muhammad’s ascension into heaven after his night journey to Jerusalem (Qur’an 17). But there seems to have been more to it than this, since the Dome of the Ascension was later built nearby.
Actually, according to the Oxford Archaeological Guide to the Holy Land, “Abd al-Malik’s purpose was more complex and subtle.” He wished to erect a beautiful Muslim building that could compete with the majestic churches of Christendom and would be a symbolic statement to both Jews and Christians of the superiority of the new faith of Islam. “His building spoke to Jews by its location, to Christians by its interior decoration.”
In the Middle Ages, Christians and Muslims both believed the dome to be the biblical Temple of Solomon. The Knights Templar made their headquarters there during the Crusades and later patterned their churches after its design.” End of article.
Two other verses are also important in identifying Obama as that false prophet. First relates to the image to the beast. Second relates to the number of the beast.
Chapter 13, verse14 describes an image to the beast. This is usually interpreted as an image ‘of’ the beast. The meanings are totally different. An image of Muhammad would not be allowed by Muslims. An image to Muhammad would be acceptable. So, let’s analyze that verse:
“And deceiveth them that dwell on earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and did live.” Muhammad suffered a mortal wound; and did live. Verse 15 continues the definition:
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” This refers to the general beast, Islam. In this case and at the present time, that beast is represented by the image; ISIS. Clearly, Obama’s actions and deceptions have allowed and encouraged that image to Muhammad and of Islam to be created.
Verse 16 also mentions a ‘mark of the beast’ in the hand or in the forehead. This simply means one accepts the beast in his or her thoughts; or supports the beast with his or her hands. And there’s a final and clear clue to the identity of that second beast. It begins with verse 17:
“And, that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (666) The instruction is to count; therefore the number of his name is 6+6+6 which equals 18. Consider: BARACKHUSSEINOBAMA. Also consider this instruction has what we today consider a password. The password is that this instruction is given in VERSE 18.
Barack Obama has shown himself as the second beast, that False Prophet. He has blasphemed God with his praise of the antichrist, Muhammad. He has also encouraged and allowed that image to the beast, ISIS, to be created. But, Obama’s actions alone will not create all the horror that’s to come to America and the whole world. Within the Middle East, that horror has already arrived. The radicals, that harlot, is already beheading and persecuting their Muslim brothers and others every day. They are already there. But, how can that horror arrive in our faraway home? Hillary’s input to that process will be discussed next.
Patriotupdate.com has a more current analysis of Hillary Clinton’s political positions. This article by David L. Goetsch, on June 30, 2013, is titled: ‘Who is worse for America: Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton?’
“When Barack Obama squeaked by Hillary Clinton for the presidential nomination back in 2007, some conservatives sighed in relief and said, “Well at least Hillary won’t be president,” or words to that effect. Of course, when they made that kind of comment, they knew plenty about Hillary but relatively little about Obama. I wonder if conservatives would make this kind of comment today. The functional question is this: Who is worse for America, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton? I know what you are thinking. Why not just ask if the reader would rather be run over by a truck or a bus? To paraphrase Hillary Clinton: What does it matter?
The reason I bring up this unwelcome topic is that even with Benghazi on her record and even with her subsequent testimony in which she insulted the grieving families of the Americans who were abandoned and killed in that God-forsaken place, Hillary is still the odds-on favorite to win the Democratic nomination for president. Provided she can stay out of jail over the Benghazi tragedy—and her record of legal slipperiness is well established—the next Republican candidate for the presidency will run against Hillary Clinton. Since this is the case, it behooves all Americans to consider Hillary’s beliefs as demonstrated by her own words.
“We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” These may sound like the words of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, or Mao (or Barack Obama for that matter), but they are the words of Hillary Clinton. She made this socialist statement all the way back in 2004, well before Barack Obama introduced the concept of redistribution of wealth as a normal plank in the Democrat’s political platform. In other words, Hillary was leaning toward socialism even before Barack Obama took up the cause. Don’t forget, before there was Obamacare there was Hillarycare. When it comes to socialized medicine, Obama just finished what Hillary started.
In 2007, Hillary made it clear that her leftwing philosophy had not changed when she said: “We can’t just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people.” By “business as usual” Hillary meant free market economics in which people pursue opportunity, accept personal responsibility, work hard to build a better life, and enjoy individual and economic freedom. What red-blooded leftist would want this type of business as usual to go on? Not Marx, not Lenin, not Stalin, not Mao, and certainly not Hillary. The “something” that Hillary claimed must be taken away from “some people” is not just money in the form of coercive taxes but freedom—the very freedoms guaranteed in our Constitution.
In the same speech in 2007, Hillary also said: “We have to build a political consensus that requires people to give up a little of their own…in order to create this common ground.” Quite a statement. Let’s parse her words and see what Hillary really means. She talks about building a “political consensus” but what she really means is a voting majority. In order to pass coercive tax laws that require “people to give up a little of their own,” Hillary and her comrades on the left will need a dependable voting majority consisting of people who will be on the receiving end when wealth is redistributed. After all, what sane person is going to willingly give up what he has worked hard to earn when the recipient is someone who not only has not worked hard, but does not intend to. In fact, not only do Hillary’s fortunate recipients of other people’s money not intend to work, they don’t even think they should have to. It’s called the entitlement mentality.
Barack Obama ranks right down there among the worst of America’s presidents. He is right in there with James Buchanan, Warren Harding, Millard Fillmore, John Tyler, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, and even Jimmy Carter. But even so, I am afraid Hillary will be even worse, provided of course she can win the presidency. It may be hard to imagine things getting worse than they have been under Barack Obama, but I suspect Hillary could manage. End of article.
Discoverthenetworks.org offered an over-all analysis of Hillary Clinton’s background and history. These are some important points from that analysis:
1. Rodham was deeply influenced by a 1966 article titled "Change or Containment," which appeared in Motive, a magazine for college-age Methodists. Authored by the Marxist/Maoist theoretician Carl Oglesby, who was a leader of the Students for a Democratic Society, this piece defended Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, and Maoist tactics of violence. Its thesis was that "certain cultural settings" (most notably American capitalism) were inherently inequitable and oppressive, and thus caused people to feel "pain and rage" that sometimes erupted into violence -- like that of "the rioters in Watts or Harlem" -- which was "reactive and provoked" rather than aggressive or malicious. Hillary later said that the Motive article had played a key role in her metamorphosis from Goldwater Republican in 1964 to leftist Democrat in 1968. During her years as First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Clinton would tell a Newsweek reporter that she still treasured the Oglesby piece.
2. Following the June 1968 assassination of Democratic presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy, Hillary ended her affiliation with the Wellesley campus Young Republicans and volunteered in New Hampshire to work on the presidential campaign of antiwar candidate Eugene McCarthy. When McCarthy later dropped out of the Democratic primary, Hillary threw her support behind the Party's eventual nominee, Hubert Humphrey. From that point forward, wrote Barbara Olson in her 1999 book Hell to Pay, "Republicans were the enemy and the enemy was allied with evil -- the evils of war, racism, sexism, and poverty."
3. At Yale, Hillary was strongly influenced by the radical theoretician Duncan Kennedy, founder of the academic movement known as critical legal studies, which, drawing on the works of the Frankfurt School, viewed law as a “social construct” that corrupt power structures routinely exploited as an instrument of oppression to protect and promote their own bourgeois values at the expense of the poor and disenfranchised. Advocates of critical legal studies were interested in revolutionary change and the building of a new society founded on Marxist principles.
4. Hillary served as one of nine editors of the Yale Review of Law and Social Action, where she worked collaboratively with Mickey Kantor (who, more than two decades later, would serve as U.S. Trade Representative and U.S. Commerce Secretary under President Bill Clinton) and Robert Reich (who would serve as Bill Clinton’s Labor Secretary from 1993 to 1997). “For too long,” said the Yale Review, “legal issues have been defined and discussed in terms of academic doctrine rather than strategies for social change.” The publication was replete with articles by or about such radicals as William Kunstler, Charles Reich (author of The Greening of America); Jerry Rubin (who wrote a piece exhorting parents to “get high with our seven-year-olds,” and urging students to “kill our parents”); and Charles Garry (the civil rights attorney who defended Black Panther Party members accused of murder). The Fall and Winter 1970 editions of the Yale Review, on which Hillary worked as associate editor, focused heavily on the trials of Black Panthers who had been charged with murder. Numerous cartoons in those issues depicted police officers as hominid pigs.
5. One of Hillary's Yale professors, Thomas Emerson (known as "Tommy the Commie"), introduced her to the aforementioned Charles Garry. Garry helped Hillary get personally involved in the defense of several Black Panthers (including the notorious Bobby Seale) who were then being tried in New Haven, Connecticut for the torture, murder, and mutilation of one of their own members. Though evidence of the defendants' guilt was overwhelming, Hillary -- as part of her coursework for Professor Emerson -- attended the Panther trials and arranged for shifts of fellow students to likewise monitor court proceedings and report on any civil-rights abuses allegedly suffered by the defendants. (Those abuses could then be used, if the Panthers were to lose their case, as grounds for appeal.) Striving to neutralize what she considered the pervasive racism of the American legal system, "Hillary was," as Barbara Olson observed in Hell to Pay, "a budding Leninist."
6. Also in 1972, she went to Berkeley to work as an intern at her hand-picked law firm: Treuhaft, Walker, and Bernstein. Founded by current or former members of the Communist Party USA, this firm had long acted as a legal asset not only for the CPUSA but also for the Black Panthers and other Bay-area radicals. Founding partner Bob Treuhaft, head of the California Communist Party, had been labeled one of the nation’s most “dangerously subversive” lawyers. According to historian Stephen Schwartz, “Treuhaft is a man who dedicated his entire legal career to advancing the agenda of the Soviet Communist Party and the KGB.” Hillary did yeoman’s work while learning at the feet of Treuhaft and his fellow masters. Associates say that Hillary, during her tenure with the firm, helped draftees get themselves declared conscientious objectors so they could avoid serving in Vietnam; they also contend that Hillary served VA interns seeking to avoid taking a loyalty oath to the United States.
7. Edelman went on to help Hillary secure a coveted research position with the Carnegie Council on Children, where the young attorney assisted Yale psychology professor Kenneth Keniston in the production of a report (titled All Our Children) advocating a dramatic expansion of social-welfare entitlements and a national guaranteed income -- all in the name of children's rights. Moreover, the report maintained that the traditional nuclear family was not inherently preferable to any other family structure, and that society had an obligation to honor, encourage, and support alternate arrangements such as single-parent households. What really mattered, said the Council, was the network of professionals -- teachers, pediatricians, social workers, and day-care workers -- who would collectively play the most vital role in raising children properly. In short, the Carnegie Council preached that childrearing was less a parental matter than a societal task to be overseen by "public advocates" -- judges, bureaucrats, social workers and other "experts" in childrearing -- who could intervene between parents and children on the latter's behalf. According to the report, the role of parents should be subordinate to the role of these experts.
8. Viewing America as an authoritarian, patriarchal, male-dominated society that tended to oppress women, children, and minorities, Hillary wrote a November 1973 article for the Harvard Educational Review advocating the liberation of children from “the empire of the father.” She claimed that the traditional nuclear family structure often undermined the best interests of children, who “consequently need social institutions specifically designed to safeguard their position.” “Along with the family,” she elaborated, “past and present examples of such arrangements include marriage, slavery, and the Indian Reservation system.” She added: “Decisions about motherhood and abortion, schooling, cosmetic surgery, treatment of venereal disease, or employment, and others where the decision or lack of one will significantly affect a child’s future should not be made unilaterally by parents.”
9. Decades later, Hillary would take up these themes again in her 1996 book It Takes a Village, which stressed the importance of the larger community of adults -- many of whom are paid caretakers whose labors are funded by American taxpayers -- in childrearing.
10. Bill Clinton served as Governor of Arkansas from 1978 to 1980, and again from 1982 to 1992. Thus Mrs. Clinton spent a total of twelve years as Arkansas’s First Lady. During that time, she continued her legal practice as a partner in the Rose Law Firm. In 1978 she became a board member of the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), and from 1986 to 1992 she served as chair of the CDF Board. From 1982 to 1988 Mrs. Clinton also chaired the New World Foundation (NWF), which had helped to launch CDF in 1973. During her years at NWF’s helm, the Foundation made grants to such organizations as the National Lawyers Guild, the Institute for Policy Studies, the Christic Institute, Grassroots International, the Committees in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (which sought to foment a Communist revolution in Central America), and groups with ties to the most extreme elements of the African National Congress.
11. In the spring of 1993, shortly after her husband took his oath of office, Mrs. Clinton delivered the commencement address at the University of Texas. In her speech, she stated: “We are at a stage in history in which remolding society is one of the great challenges facing all of us in the West.”
12. That same year, Mrs. Clinton latched onto the phrase “the politics of meaning,” an opaque concept coined by Michael Lerner that blended radical politics with New Ageish human potentialism. She invited Lerner to the White House, briefly making him her “guru” until the ridicule which this caused made her retreat from the connection. (In her autobiography, Mrs. Clinton strenuously avoids any mention of Lerner, or of Lerner’s Tikkun magazine.)
13. Also during her early years as First Lady, Mrs. Clinton was put in charge of the 500-member Health Care Task Force which tried, in secret meetings and by stealth, to socialize medical care in the United States, a sector that represented approximately one-seventh of the U.S. economy. This modus operandi was in violation of so-called “sunshine laws,” which forbid such secret meetings from taking place when non-government employees are present. Mrs. Clinton was sued by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons for these violations. The trial judge, U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth, ultimately ruled against her and the Clinton administration. In December 1997 Lamberth issued a 19-page report condemning as “reprehensible” the duplicity exhibited by Mrs. Clinton’s Task Force. “The Executive Branch of the government, working in tandem, was dishonest with this court, and the government must now face the consequences of its misconduct,” said Lamberth. “It is clear,” he added, “that the decisions here were made at the highest levels of government. There were no rogue lawyers here misleading the court.”
The linchpin of Mrs. Clinton’s healthcare plan was a mandate forcing all Americans to purchase insurance, and imposing a penalty on those who failed to comply. In November 2013, MIT professor John Gruber, who was a chief architect of the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), said that Hillary Clinton’s 1990s-era plan was “much more interventionist” than Obamacare, “much to the left of Obamacare,” and “would have more radically changed our healthcare system.”
14. During the 1990s, Mrs. Clinton spent eight years faithfully attending Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., which was then pastored by the Rev. Dr. J. Philip Wogaman. Wogaman had made his political worldview clear in his many writings and sermons over the years. For instance, in 1990, a year after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he wrote that “Christian socialism’s critique of the excesses and brutalities and idolatries of the free market still need to be heard.” On an earlier occasion, he had lauded the “modest but real economic success” of Communist Cuba and China. As long ago as 1967, Wogaman had written: “The USSR is characteristic of the more tolerant Communist arrangements for religion. In Russia there are specific constitutional guarantees of freedom of worship, and some provision has even been made for the upkeep of churches and theological seminaries.”
By no means was Wogaman the only radical cleric to be admired by Mrs. Clinton. In her 2004 memoir, Living History, Mrs. Clinton praised Rev. William Sloane Coffin Jr., who had served as Yale’s chaplain during Hillary’s years at the law school, for his “articulate moral critique of American involvement” in Vietnam. That critique involved his traveling to Hanoi in 1972. Seven years later, he would make a friendly trip to Tehran, capital of the first modern Islamic theocratic state which had just stormed a U.S. embassy and kidnapped dozens of his fellow countrymen.
15. Hillary’s Nasty, Disrespectful Treatment of Secret Service & Military Personnel: In his 2014 book The First Family Detail, bestselling author Ronald Kessler writes that during Mrs. Clinton’s years as First Lady, she was known and despised by Secret Service agents and military personnel for the nasty treatment, explosive temper, and imperious attitude she conveyed toward them. “Agents say being on Hillary Clinton’s detail is the worst duty assignment in the Secret Service,” writes Kessler. “Being assigned to her detail is a form of punishment.” In August 2014, the Daily Mail provided the following details from Kessler’s book:
“We were basically told, the Clintons don’t want to see you, they don’t want to hear you, get out of the way,’ according to a former Secret Service agent.”
“She didn’t like law enforcement officers or the military, former Secret Service agent Lloyd Bulman stated. ‘She was just really rude to almost everybody. She’d act like she didn’t want you around, like you were beneath her.’ She went years without speaking to some agents.”
“In response to a cheerful ‘Good morning, ma’am,’ by a former uniformed officer, Hillary’s response to him was ‘F—k off.’”
“While publicly courting law enforcement organizations, privately she felt disdain. She wanted state troopers and local police to wear suits and drive unmarked cars. No military aides could wear their uniforms in the White House. If agents driving her went over a bump, she’d swear at them.”
“ Glad-handing on the road on her Senatorial campaign, when they arrived at a 4-F Club in the land of dairy cows in upstate New York, she saw cows and people in jeans. That enraged her and she asked a staffer, ‘What the f*** did we come her for? There's no money here.’”
“White House deputy counsel Vince Foster, who committed suicide in June 1993, was on the receiving end of a virulent verbal attack by Hillary. She disagreed with a legal opinion he made and humiliated him in a meeting, stating he would never be more than a hick-town lawyer and wasn’t ready for the big time. ‘The put-down that she gave him in that big meeting just pushed him over the edge’, [former FBI agent Coy] Copeland says. She blamed Foster for all of the Clinton’s problems and stated he had failed the couple….”
16. Analysis of Hillary’s Worldview and Agendas:
“Hillary Clinton’s alliances with organizations like CAP, MMFA, and ACS serve as indicators of her most deeply held political beliefs and objectives. David Horowitz has provided the following incisive analysis of Mrs. Clinton’s broad agendas and the tactics she employs in pursuit of them:
"It is possible to be a socialist, and radical in one's agendas, and yet moderate in the means one regards as practical to achieve them. To change the world, it is first necessary to acquire cultural and political power. And these transitional goals may often be accomplished by indirection and deception even more effectively than by frontal assault. ... New Left progressives [such as] Hillary Clinton ... [share the] intoxicating vision of a social redemption achieved by Them ... For these self-appointed social redeemers, the goal -- 'social justice' -- is not about rectifying particular injustices, which would be practical and modest, and therefore conservative. Their crusade is about rectifying injustice in the very order of things. 'Social Justice' for them is about a world reborn, a world in which prejudice and violence are absent, in which everyone is equal and equally advantaged and without fundamentally conflicting desires. It is a world that could only come into being through a re-structuring of human nature and of society itself. ... In other words, a world in which human consciousness is changed, human relations refashioned, social institutions transformed, and in which 'social justice' prevails. ... In short, the transformation of the world requires the permanent entrenchment of the saints in power. Therefore, everything is justified that serves to achieve the continuance of them. ... The focus of Hillary Clinton's ambition ... is the vision of a world that can only be achieved when the Chosen accumulate enough power to change this one.” End of discoverthenetworks article.
Under our current condition of uncertainty about our future; and the horror that’s taking place in many parts of the world we must make a newer and current assessment of Hillary Clinton’s words, actions and intentions regarding the safety of our future and the future of generations to follow us.
For example, her current views on immigration, open borders and world trade create a Biblical danger beyond belief. She recently proclaimed that immigration for refugees should be increased over 500 percent from the current numbers. In the recent presidential debate she also advocated for free world trade so that citizens of other nations could increase their standards and status. All three positions are not only anti-American they are also anti-Biblical. Her ideas play right into the hand of Satan to create horror in the world.
First one must ask the question; what’s the purpose for world trade and equalization of assets and conditions. That answer is very, very simple. It’s not for equality; it’s so only a very few elites can put themselves into a position of unparalleled personal power. It’s simply a power thing for the very few who think they are smart enough and powerful enough to control the world; in effect to become God. That idea borders on the Abomination that creates desolation. They challenge God’s position to control the world.
And, with more Muslims infiltrating into our great nation; and other once-free nations, Satan’s hand grows stronger and stronger to fulfill his oath to eliminate God’s time in heaven. Spreading his soldiers, Islam, throughout the world (those seven heads) is Satan’s plan to conquer the entire world. And, he gets closer to succeeding with his plan every day. And, if Hillary Clinton has her way to fill our nation with more Muslims, Satan’s goal will grow closer. As a kind and generous nation should we invite more into our nation as refugees?
That answer is clearly given in 2 John: 9-11. Verse 9 states that one who does not believe that Christ is the Son of God does not believe in God. Muslims reject Jesus as the Son of God. They claim that Muhammad is higher than Jesus in God’s realm. This clearly infers that they are those tools of Satan. Then verse 10 adds:
“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.” Verse 11 adds the association with Satan, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
Although we are a kind and generous people, and always have been; we must not invite or allow Satan’s children into our great nation to destroy us, or to challenge God. It is written; and Hillary Clinton wants to challenge it. The result will be a horror that we have never known.
Perhaps anyone planning to, or thinking about supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton for any future political office should consider many things before they make that decision. In making that decision there are three important questions:
1. What is my vision for the future of my country, and my descendants: my children, grandchildren and all who come after?
2. Will Hillary Clinton, or anyone who promotes the socialistic and global philosophies that she does, lead our great nation toward that vision?
3. Will I want future generations to look back on history and ask; “Were those who supported that Socialist-Globalist agenda simply her non-thinking ‘Useful Idiots?’
Those global trade agreements are already in play enough to create horror when Iran begins its attacks. Our economic infrastructure is already scattered throughout the world. Even today very few items, such as automobiles, can be created within a single nation. Parts for the automobile and other common items flow in to America from all over the world; especially shoes and clothing. Even much of our food, today, is imported from other nations. Is this a Biblical situation? Yes; and the Bible explains.
The explanation begins when the third seal was opened, in Revelation. Chapter 6, verses 5-6 reads:
“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6) And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
These seven seals are merely the table of contents for information to follow in Revelation. In this case this third seal with the black horse reveals more information to follow in coming chapters. In this case the expanded information is presented in Chapter 18. The full chapter will not be presented here but only enough to demonstrate the horrible economic consequences of globalization. Let’s begin with verse 2, “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” Babylon is clearly identified in Chapter 17 as ‘that woman Jezebel’ and Islam.
Verse 3 continues, “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 9) And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning. 11) And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.”
The next verses, 12 through 16, give more information about global merchandise; then verse 17 concludes:
“For in one hour so great riches is come to naught. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18) And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!” The last verse in Chapter 18 gives a final thought about Babylon, “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”
Although this economic trade condition refers to ships; what about other modes of merchandising transportation that exist now that did not exist during the time John wrote Revelation? For example, how might this affect the trucking industry on our highways and byways? What about our electrical grid? When that Great War suddenly begins between Islam and religions of God, will the millions of Muslims in our great nation merely stand by and watch it happen? Or, in their support of their Satanly religion, which they are by doctrine compelled to do; would they not attack our economic and support infrastructures? Only a few people could totally halt shipping (by trucks) on our interstate highways. Would that be their first target, according to Chapter 18?
But, Hillary Clinton’s plan for globalization and equalization might never have a chance to occur. The world stage already set by her and Barack Obama by their words and actions will likely culminate first into that attack by Iran in the ‘midst of the covenant.’ That likelihood was greatly increased when Obama delivered almost two billion dollars in cash to Iran; to use for their continuing great atrocities against God’s world. And they continue to do so with greater alarm. They are now even issuing stronger threats against the world; thanks to Obama’s generosity toward them.
Already Iran is challenging and testing our military resolve in the air and on the sea with harassing military tactics. Iran is now trying to determine ‘if he who now letteth will let.’ In other words, does the United States have enough resolve to stop Iran and their millions of brothers from attacking Israel? This is explained in Second Thessalonians beginning with verse 5. This is a reminder from the Olivet Discourse:
“Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” Verse 12 adds a final admonition:
“That they might be damned who believed not the truth, but had the pleasure in unrightousness.” The final comment in each of the letters to the seven churches warns us:
“He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
This warning was not just to those seven churches; it was to everyone who believes. But even with this belief, how should one prepare? Some options will be explained next, in the conclusion.
Two other purposes of Revelation are to assure Christians that God and His forces will win in the end; to hold fast and not get discouraged. In the end, nations will still exist and will be healed by ‘leaves’ from the tree of life. But, during the tribulation period before that ending there will be great times and hardships to endure. These will include death by the sword, starvation, thirst and pestilence. We are warned to ‘prepare’ and not be surprised or embarrassed by our nakedness of not being ready when those tribulations begin. That tribulation period will begin in the midst of that covenant affecting Israel. It’s that covenant promoted by that false prophet, Barack Hussein Obama. It’s the covenant that will be abandoned by Iran ‘in the midst of that covenant,’ and Israel will be savagely attacked.
‘In the midst’ is not a definitive time. If that means ‘in the middle’ then it would begin three and a half years after the covenant was enacted. However, ‘in the midst’ could mean anytime within that seven year period. We must assume, to prepare, it will be at the midpoint. But, we know we must prepare for those four designated threats to our safety and well-being. Other events also occur at that three and a half year time, so this is most likely that time determined. How should that preparation begin?
Protect Yourself – Own A Weapon
The most expedient preparation is to own a defensive weapon. If you don’t own one now, then this should be your first priority. It doesn’t matter if you agree with gun ownership or not – get a weapon, unless you desire to die ‘by the sword’ as indicated above. You must not be naked and without defense; especially if you have a family. If you won’t protect them in times of hardship; who will? If every qualified person in America owns a weapon, and our enemies know it, then we likely would never have to fire those weapons. A hostile enemy will not attack a target they know will kill them. We must let every Islamic terrorist know they will die if they attack us. Even if they have suicide bombers, they will soon run out of volunteers. But, Islamic killers are not the only great danger that might arise.
There’s a serious consideration, however, before you buy that weapon. That is, to make sure you buy ammunition for it at the same time; otherwise you might own a weapon that’s useless. There’s a shortage of some ammunition now, and it’s likely to get worse in the future. It will be easier and simpler for a despotic leader to disarm people by eliminating the availability of ammunition. Millions of weapons have been handed down from generation to generation, and are therefore unaccountable. The government has no tracer information on these weapons. Most likely, any weapon purchased within the past few years is now recorded at the new NSA center in Bluffdale, Utah. Also, be aware that any new ammunition purchases, especially with a credit card or a check, will also be recorded at that site. Don’t be surprised if sometime in the future certain items may be restricted from cash purchasing. Do it now!
Also, there’s another danger that lurks closer to home. It’s described as ‘Wormwood.’ Wormwood is a great star that fell from heaven when the third angel blew the trumpet, announcing horrible things would happen. This was not a star of course, but something that affected citizens of the earth. The word condition might have been used to describe it instead of a star falling. But the word ‘great’ gave the condition great significance. It’s an unusual event included with the other great events in this chapter, including war and natural disasters. (Revelation 8:11)
In effect, this is a description of the great impact of drugs upon our society; so great in fact that it will become a danger during the time of tribulation. The word ‘wormwood’ describes a family of plants that grow in the wild. The plant is mostly a source of absinthe and opiates, but one variety produces a product that’s considered artificial marijuana. In general, however, it describes the increased use of drugs; so much increase that it becomes a serious danger. Even now, we hear on the news of the growing horror of drug addiction in our society. It grows more dangerous every single day.
Just imagine what desperate and extreme measures users might do in their attempts to get more drugs. During this time of tribulation, would they invade your home, kill everyone, then plunder your belongings to trade or sell for more drugs? Perhaps you might consider your disdain of owning a weapon. Perhaps you might no longer believe the arguments of those gun-haters. To comply with their ideas might get you and your family killed. Then it’s too late to consider owning one. Christ cautioned many times in Revelation to be prepared; don’t be caught naked. And, to be prepared means to have food, or a way to grow food.
Prepare Not to Starve
According to Revelation, and mentioned in three places, hunger will be one of the greatest hardships during the tribulation period. Each person or each family must decide how to prepare for this horrible event. One way, and of course the most obvious way, is to prepare to grow your own food during this period. This is a simple answer for farmers who have acreage and are trained in the techniques of farming.
Most farmers with large gardens also know how to can their produce for the more austere times. However, those who have no acreage or space enough to grow a garden must have other alternatives. It’s uncertain if farmers can produce enough to provide for the massive hunger that will occur. Probably not; and shipping and transportation will be greatly reduced if not totally eliminated to move produce long distances. So, other options must be explored before the need arises. You must be prepared.
One option growing in popularity is to accumulate large stocks of those meals with a long life span, some up to twenty or twenty-five years. Presently, there are two major advertisers of these products, but likely there are more. For some, this is not the best option and for two reasons. First is the cost. They are more expensive than comparable meals. Second is that they require water to prepare the meal. ‘Just add water and heat’ the ads say. But what if you don’t have water or heat?
Another reasonable alternative is to buy canned food; and it’s certainly the least expensive for those on a limited budget. One might ask ‘why not stock frozen food?’ The answer is simple; likely there will be little or no electricity during the worst times of the tribulation. Canned food offers another great advantage. All canned foods include water and liquids in the cans. This could be one source of liquid to prevent severe thirst. Hunger and thirst are two of the four horrors described to happen during the tribulation period. But, one might be concerned about the cost, and loss through ‘best by’ dates on the cans.
To counter the cost of canned food one must remember the main objective during the tribulation period is survival. Therefore, quality food and the ‘food you like’ are not that important. The most important thing to consider is cost per unit (ounce) and ‘best by’ dates. For examples: most food stores and supermarkets have rotating special prices on their canned vegetables. Some cans normally priced above a dollar are put on special prices such as half that to draw customers to the store. That’s the time to buy that product in quantity; as many as the store will allow. And, there’s another option that might even be better; the dollar discount store.
Almost all canned food products at the ‘dollar stores’ are priced at a dollar. However, many of those canned items contain more than twice as much as those priced less at regular supermarkets. It’s not unusual to find three times the volume at the same or lower price. In either case the ‘best by’ date must be considered. Since this year is 2016, the beginning stock of food should begin with dates of 2018 and beyond. Some ‘best by’ dates now reach as far as 2021. How much should you buy and preposition? That depends on the size of your family and those you intend to support during those trying times. It also depends on your space availability for storage. Once stored, however, those dates become important. To manage the dates, keep them stocked separately by year.
Rotation is the answer. Once you have the sufficient stock on hand then future purchases become normal purchases for the current time. And for those items nearing the ‘best by’ dates that haven’t been used there’s another good answer. Simply donate them to local ‘food pantries’ and other charities that offer food to the needy. But, don’t consider it a loss; instead consider it another tool of God’s influence upon humans helping humans. And in some cases it might even be the source of a tax deduction.
Two other alternatives regarding a food source might also be considered. First, don’t forget to have a large supply of fish hooks, fishing line, and other auxiliary fishing equipment. Fish and crustaceans are usually available in most bodies of water. Even crayfish exist is small streams. Second, powerful air rifles are now on the market for shooting small game; and some have silencers, which is an advantage if you are trying to remain safely and quietly in the background.
Have a Water Source
According to the words, during tribulation many will die from: the sword, hunger, thirst, and beasts, so one must also plan for a water source. For the many who live near a water source such as rivers, lakes, and natural springs that will not be a great problem; except possibly for the purity of the water. This problem may be countered by using a water purification system (personal ones are available for about twenty dollars; often called a straw) or by boiling the water. There are also other methods of purification including the use of certain tablets. Regarding ‘boiling water’ perhaps this is the best place to discuss fire and heat.
Trees are also mentioned in Chapter 9; which might suggest we not destroy too many of our trees during this time of tribulation; when we are likely to be without sources of fire and heat. Can you imagine how many trees would be destroyed as a source of heat for billions of people on the earth trying to stay warm for three to seven years? Trees once were the major source of heat, but the earth had many less inhabitants. Even so, at that time many of our forests were devastated. But today there’s an alternative – solar cookers and ovens.
There are several types of solar ovens, some simple and some more complex. At the present time they are somewhat expensive; the better ones in the three-hundred dollar range. However, considering their utility during difficult times that extra cost might be well worth the expense, especially if you are not in an area where wood is available; dry wood. Once a tree is cut it has to dry before it can be used for fuel. I know, because in my youth my family and many families used wood for the stove and the fireplace. We didn’t have electricity until I was twelve years old.
Those solar cookers will work when there is even medium sunshine, so using them wouldn’t be hassle free, but it’s certainly a reasonable alternative when the sun is shining. Most, at this time, are not mass produced which means if there’s a sudden demand for them they might not be available. And, there are also optional solar tubes for heating water. These are less expensive and can also be used for cooking like a stove, with the addition of an insert tray. But, what about those times when the sun isn’t adequate to make those solar cookers effective? The other alternative, of course, is firewood; which likely will be the primary source for most survivors. This brings a question of how to start that fire without a match.
A large stock of matches or cigarette lighters or other fuel lighters might be the most obvious answer of how to start a fire. And, there are two alternative ways, just in case matches don’t work and fuel is exhausted.
The first alternative is the camp-style striker method. There are several interpretations of the striker, where a rod is scraped against a starter producing sparks to start a fire tender. There’s another alternative, however, that most people never consider. And, when the sun is shining it’s definitely the most effective – the common magnifying glass. Using the sun, a magnifying glass focused to a fine point on paper or other tender will start a fire.
A very strong magnifying glass is always more effective, but a weaker magnifier will work well during the hottest times of day. The best news about the magnifying glass is that water doesn’t hurt it, and the fuel never runs out. I have four strong ones pre-positioned for emergencies. Once prepared for these three threats, there’s still one to consider. It’s introduced as beasts, which most certainly would mean organisms, diseases, and pestilence.
Prepare for Health Disasters
If this tribulation time is as horrendous as written in the Bible, then many people will die from communicable diseases and maladies that are somewhat controllable today. Today, we have medicines and immunizations to prevent and combat things such as flu and pneumonia. Just imagine what would happen if these protections were not available for five to seven years. In large groups, these horrors would spread like wildfire, and only the healthiest and hardiest would survive, especially if complicated without heat to ease the freezing and wet nights. Without proper medications the only defense would be to wear masks and avoid large groups during these periods of epidemics. But, these maladies are not the only threats to survival.
Two other serious threats will be ticks and mosquitoes. These have been serious problems throughout history. In our modern day, and in our modern societies, repellants ordinarily repel these malicious enemies; but will repellants be available during the tribulation period? Likely not. One possibility is to try to anticipate the beginning time and have as much on hand as possible. If you have too much, your friends and family might need help. And, if you spend any time at all outdoors, especially in warmer times, always check every inch of your skin for ticks. They are very small until they gorge themselves with your blood; then it might be too late. If your home is not perfectly sealed, don’t forget to sleep under netting at night.
Another common problem often arises when in survival mode; especially outdoors. That’s the problem of infection from scratches and other wounds. Briars, thorns, and broken sharp sticks abound everywhere in the outdoors, even in the safety of your enclosed yard. If an infection occurs from one of these pricks, scratches, or cuts there likely will not be medical aid nearby to help you. Of course, the logical answer to defend yourself against these ‘beasts’ is to have an adequate stock of antiseptics and antibiotics on hand to last the duration. These beasts will kill people as surely as guns, hunger, and thirst; and often with long-lasting pain.

Will Clark’s author experiences began by writing inspection and evaluation reports in the U.S. Air Force. He is a retired Air Force officer and a Vietnam veteran, serving in Saigon from 1966 to 1967. His other overseas assignments include Misawa, Japan and Ankara, Turkey; where he visited the ancient sites of the Seven Churches.
In 1995, as a ‘Friends of Education’ study skills project, he authored a book, How to Learn, to encourage students to improve their grades in DeSoto County, Mississippi. Education supporters printed and distributed four thousand copies. The following school year he wrote a weekly education column for a local newspaper, The DeSoto County Tribune. He also taught an adult GED class. His book, How to Learn, has been updated and is now available everywhere.
His next published book was School Bells and Broken Tales, a parody of nursery rhyme characters, also a motivation and education book for children. Other books include Shades of Retribution, a historical novel, and Simply Success, a motivation guide for students and employees.
His action novel, The Atlantis Crystal, is the first of a trilogy based on Atlantis and crystals. The other two books are: She Waits in Atlantis, and Return to Atlantis. This trilogy is based on his travels while assigned to Turkey, site of the ancient city of Troy. His latest political thriller is: America 20XX: The New World Order.
The past five years he has devoted his full time to the study, research, and writing of an analysis of the Book of Revelation and the danger of Satan, that beast that guides Islam.

What is the Tribulation
What horror could the actions and words of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton cause for citizens of the United States and the whole world? Words from Matthew, Chapter 24 give a strong clue of horrible results that might occur from their activities. Those words start in verse 19: “And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” How could this prophesied horror happen in the near future? Barack Obama, as the False Prophet, has paved the way for Iran and other Islamic nations to attack Israel. He has endowed them with time, opportunity, and money to facilitate their horrible scheme. He recently gave Iran almost two billion dollars to fund their ungodly activities. As the False Prophet of Revelation, Chapter 13, he claims to be a Christian but all his actions, deeds, and words support only that beast, Islam. Even the Iran Nuclear Deal is a time prelude to that attack; which will come ‘In the midst of that covenant by many.’ This means that Great attack might begin within three and a half years after that Iran Nuclear Deal was approved. Already Iran is challenging and testing our military resolve in the air and on the sea with harassing military tactics. Iran is now trying to determine ‘if he who now letteth will let.’ In other words, does the United States have enough resolve to stop Iran and their millions of brothers from attacking Israel? Hillary Clinton’s current views on immigration, open borders and world trade create a biblical danger beyond belief. These conditions and many others are explained in this book to reveal the horror that awaits as a result of the actions and inactions of these two people who threaten the very existence of our way of life in America. Read this book to fully understand the horror they have set in motion that could begin as soon as April, 2019. God bless America, and protect Israel.
