And Lucifer didst yield his soul unto the Leviathan to be consumed, and Lucifer became Satan evermore. Satan and his Malakhim didst retreat unto the Earth, cursed forever as Watchers of and not partakers of the glory bestowed upon man…

And it came to pass that these Watchers began to tempt man insomuch that man might also yield up their souls as fodder for the Leviathan; but when the sons of men had increased, in those days there were born unto them fair and beautiful daughters…

And the Watchers mourned much for the loss of their wives, and didst curse God for their sorrows; for their wives begat Nephilim, a race of large giants. But behold, God was wroth that these Watchers had corrupted the daughters of Eve…

Amongst the second generation of man were the brothers Cain and Abel. When God rejected Cain’s burnt offering, Cain became very wroth and succumbed to the temptations of the Devil, even Satan, and shed the innocent blood of his brother Abel…

And Cain was cast out from the presence of God, and was cursed to dwell in the barren land of Nod, to the south of Eden. And Satan didst appear unto Cain and his followers, and put it into their hearts to form secret oaths and covenants…

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth. Righteous generations flowed from the loins of Seth, and the people didst establish a great Kingdom to the north after the manner of his name…

And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare a son; and Cain didst teach his posterity to loathe and despise the people of Seth. And after this manner didst the generations of men begin to populate the earth…

And the Nephilim didst stir up a great many contentions insomuch that they were continually at war with the armies of men. And God fortified the armies of men, that their boundaries didst remain intact…

And all the land of earth didst consist of one large mass. The greater kingdom of Seth ruled the north, whilst the lesser kingdom of Cain ruled the south. And it came to pass that the posterity of the kingdom of Seth became a slothful and wicked generation…

Amongst the seventh generation of Seth was born unto the earth Enoch, who didst become a mighty Prophet. The Leviathan became very desirous to consume the soul of this man Enoch, for his divinity hadst become manifest…

Enoch and his followers were despised and cast out of the kingdom of Seth. But yet Enoch wast influential insomuch that he established the great city Atlantis in the East where he didst gain many intelligent and inventive followers…

So great was the faith of Enoch that God didst speak unto him in visions and dreams whilst their enemies came to battle against them; God didst instruct him in the manner of technology that he didst learn how to warp dimensions…

And it came to pass that Enoch didst instruct his people in the building of a great machine beneath the city; insomuch that he didst also cause his people to erect great obelisks in the lands about…

And God spoke unto Enoch, saying: the Watchers who have left the High Heaven, and have corrupted themselves with women, shall not have place on Earth, neither peace, nor forgiveness of sin, and will not find joy in their posterity…

These Watchers shall witness the slaughter of their beloved ones; and over the destruction of their sons, the Nephilim, they will lament and petition forever. But they will have neither mercy nor peace…

The height of these Nephilim were three thousand cubits, and they didst devour all the toil of men until men were unable to sustain them. And the giants turned against man, and there was much blood shed amongst the inhabitants of Earth…

Yea, the armies of Seth and Cain didst combine forces to slaughter the Nephilim, for the Earth cried out against the lawless ones. And from that time forth there were continual wars and bloodshed…

And lo, God had protected the people of Enoch from the Nephilim; Verily, the Kingdoms of Seth and Cain had become wroth of the great blessings of protection that God hath bestowed upon the glorious City of Atlantis…

And the time didst come when God spoke unto Enoch and commanded him to activate the great machine; and Enoch didst gather his people together whilst a great battle waged against them in the surrounding lands…

And Enoch obeyed the command of the Lord, and didst activate the great machine. The followers of Enoch and their lands about were taken up into the bosom of the Lord in a glorious pillar of light…

And the depths of the sea didst swell from the bottomless pit. Verily, thunderous waves didst crash upon the land insomuch that they didst drown both of the wicked armies and the last of the Nephilim…

And the many waters of the deep didst recede back into the bottomless pit. Verily, many rumors among those whom had survived didst sweep the land: Zion hath fled! The Great City of Atlantis hath sunk!

The fear of the Lord was upon both the surviving Kingdoms of Seth and of Cain, so great was the glory of the Lord, which was upon his people. But the Lord came and dwelt with his people in the distant world Zion…

And the Lord blessed the land of Enoch, and they were blessed upon the mountains, and upon the high places, and did flourish. And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind…

And the Watchers mourned the loss of their children, for God didst say unto them: I shall destroy the sons of the Watchers from amongst men. Yea, they shall destroy themselves in battle; for they will not have length of days…

And God said unto the Malakhim: Bind the Watchers by their hands and feet, and throw them into the darkness. Yea, split open the desert, which is in Dudael, and throw them into the depths of the Earth…

And throw the Watchers on jagged and sharp stones, and cover them with darkness. And let them stay there forever. And cover their faces so that they may not see the light. And so that, on the Great Day of Judgment, they may be hurled into the fire…

Preach ye unto the righteous that they may escape the wrath of God. For verily, the whole earth shall be destroyed. A deluge shall come upon all the earth; and all that is in it shall be destroyed by way of a great flood…

And God said: Restore the Earth which the Nephilim have ruined. And announce the restoration of the Earth. For I shall restore the Earth so that not all the sons of men shall be destroyed…

And it came to pass that I, Methuselah, the son of Enoch, returned to Earth, that the covenants of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made with my father Enoch; that the prophet Noah should be of the fruit of his loins…

For God didst endow the ancient powers of the Malakhim unto man to create certain Seraphim, who wouldst protect the inhabitants of the Earth from suffering destruction by means of the Leviathan…

Methuselah 13:2

And God instructed these Seraphim to manifest the ancient powers of the Malakhim to protect both the Earth and Zion. Verily, to instruct the people to follow in the straight and narrow paths of righteousness…

Methuselah 13:3

And God gave unto these Seraphim a charge to continually seek the pathways of light. But woe be unto the inhabitants of the Earth should a Seraph be led away by the darkness of the Leviathan…

And God didst abide with his Malakhim for a time, and then He departed hence. The Malakhim in heaven know not where He doth dwell, but that He shall return on the Great Day of Judgment…

These fifty verses contain the backstory behind the award-wining first installment of The SciFan™ Series. The World of Zion is a distant planet that has been plagued by the destructive will of a creature called the Leviathan for centuries. He has fed off of the souls of men, and his fodder has become scarce. He now turns to Earth with an insatiable hunger. Only a woman from Earth who discovers a divine inner power can challenge Earth's Apocalyptic Fate.
