Dedication

To my grandmother who loved to play solitaire. Miss you.

Introduction

I have been playing solitaire with traditional card decks for many years. Now that I work with tarot decks, I learned how to play several solitaire games with them.

This book explains step-by-step how to play five games using either all 78 cards or just the Minor Arcana. Enjoy!

Table of Contents

[* Game 1- Use Minor Arcana Minus Pages with 7 Columns *]§

Game 2 – Use Only the Minor Arcana with 7 Columns§

Game 3 – Use All 78 Cards with 6 Columns§

Game 4 – Use All 78 Cards with 7 Columns§

Game 5 – Use All 78 Cards with 8 Columns§

Game 1- Using Minor Arcana Without the Pages with 7 Columns §

Figure 1 – Card Legend

Step 1: Take all 78 cards expect for the advertizing cards out of the box.

Step 2: Remove all the Major Arcana and all the Pages

Step 3: Shuffle the cards and then deal out the first 28 cards in 7 columns as shown in Figure 2.

Figure 2 – Deal out the first 7 cards.

Step 4: Continue laying out the cards for the rest of the columns.

Figure 3– Deal out the next 6 cards by placing the first card (face up) on top of the second card. Then deal out the last 5 cards (face down).

Figure 4 – Deal out the next 5 cards by placing the first card (face up) on top of the third card. Then deal out the last 4 cards (face down).

Step 5: Continue dealing the cards until all the columns have cards facing up.

Step 6: Play the game as you would with a regular deck of cards.

~ Go through the pile of cards (three at a time). When you get to the end, flip the pile over (face down) and continue playing.

Step 7: After you play the game and all the Minor Arcana suits are in order (Ace – King), take the Major Arcana that you put aside and put them in order.
