This short story follows a man that returns to end his life at the home where he grew up. He arrives at his old home and finds it has been overtaken by nature, and worn by time. He is unhappy with his life and blames it shortcomings on the rest of his late family, especially his brother. As he paces through the rooms of the old house, he remembers the worst of his family, and taints the memories with his own bitterness. As he wanders through the old home, he comes across objects that don't reconcile with what he remembers.
