Chapter 1

Preface

I have set the Lord continually before me; for He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken”

- Psalms 16:8

In what ways can we honor a perfect God? How do we honor a Savior who miraculously wiped all the guilt and death of Sin from the face of the Earth for all time? At times, I struggle to see how we as individuals can matter in any way to our Heavenly Father. How insignificant and ignorant we are! But such thoughts themselves are performed in ignorance, for in every way, every place, and every time, God reminds us that we are in fact the opposite of insignificant, we are His everything!

Prose

Send a Revival Lord!

Start it in me…

Psalms 1

These Truths we seek…

I find mine at God’s feet

They’re lovers’ whispers

His lips to mine ears

When I’m on the Mountain

Or sunk to my knees.

And I pray, these intimacies

Will also speak to thee

Psalms 2

Listen!

Not only to the sounds that surround you

The complaints and murmurs of stale breath

But to the Life that sings from Everything

The tongue is void

But Moments speak truth

Only God speaks truths language

Apologies to most, He speaks only with His Heart

What a silent world

For those who would call David a fool

Those who wear earplugs named Sin

And call them their Jewels

Psalms 3

We live with rolled eyes

But you’re blind in the whites

The sleeper has awakened

In the blessed journey of Rights

One Person is worth it all

So goes the lesson from the Greatest Fall

An allegory for the love above our own

God, see me through

‘Till you take me Home

Psalms 4

Quiet in the Dark

He holds me in His arms

He whispers to me secret promises

More tender than that first Love

Like lover’s promises meant to make you stay

To steal just a minute

From that separation Day

h4={color:#000;}.

Psalms 5

I’ve never seen the hand of the wall

Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin, that call

I’ve never been the golden head

With Iron and Clay between my toes

I’ve never woke with praise

and grass crowning my lips

Never looked to God in the sky

as my claws clench the Earth

An animal cry sliding from my throat

My mysteries come in more subtle ways

Another who speaks His name like His lover

Their pupils dilate as God trickles from their lips

A lesson learned from every chapter of the Word

As the voices of others carry His Glory into the sky

Psalms 6

There they are…shattered

The one who is supposed to be your soul mate

But my soul will never know the embrace of theirs

My heart will always be like a malnourished child

Weak and a sad resemblance of what it should be

But in our weakness, the soul is emboldened

Like that child my heart

Will be fuller of lofty hopes

And my sustenance will come from God alone.

Though our fate lay in a ditch

Like a corpse with a twisted smile

I will praise Him

God knows my heart

He knows it suffers

Without the promise of their salvation

And so I will wait patiently in you, my King of Kings

My Heavenly Soul Mate

Psalms 7

This cycle repeats endlessly

Like the hands on a clock

Always starting back at one

My cycle of sin is ruthless

Just when I think I will touch God

I become that frustrated hand on the clock

Starting my journey over again

I fall from twelve to one

But praise God, there is reason for joy!

Even in our failures

For “a person who is forgiven little,

Shows only little Love.”

And praise God! I’ve been forgiven much!

Haikus

Why dare let Him down

He looks you in the eyes, boy

Just like Israel

I’m the King of Lust

Pray let me be like David

God has not given up

The devil’s tricky

His approach always changes

He smiles from your screen

I come to you Lord

Every day I seek You

It’s just not enough

My mind always doubts

But as I lift my hands high

My heart feels your love

Beauty floods my mind

God uses it, His playground

What a lucky child

Caught in his presence

I swear this room sings His name

I can’t help but join

Always I come close

Satan tries desperately

I prove him the fool

Turn the evil plans

Of my enemies against

Them. Do as you swore

I give Him my home

My first night here, not alone

He lay next to me

I visit each room

I implore God to fill it

Ha, whoooa! Can rooms burst?!

I am so nervous

My life finally begun

He makes it easy

Throughout the whole world

We’ll never see each other

But we know His love

The missionaries

Who bring forth His great Kingdom

Shield and Sword in hand

Cold freezes your heart

When THE Sheppard forsakes you

It’s just a nightmare

What if God left you?

There is vomit in my mouth

I can’t stand the thought

River Constantine

The way God’s love flourishes

A fertile valley

How to bring Him glory

Without receiving myself

The thoughts Christ’s love brings

I want it for Him

If glory falls on me also

Should I fear the act?
