The Bible is composed of 66 books penned by 40+ people over 2,000 years. Since the Bible was penned by these people over several thousands of years, some skeptics cast suspicions that it was not integrated or true. The Bible can be proven, it is integrated and literal and authored by someone outside of our time domain. Every letter and every number was dictated by deliberate design of Elohim (God). A really good introduction is given by Dr. Chuck Missler titled "Chuck Missler End Times Scenario (part 1/6)" at .
The 3rd commandment of YHVH (God) is
Deu 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.[KJV]
I grew up believing that it was about language or cursing using the Lord’s name. Dr. Chuck Missler proposed a different meaning that I now embrace. I believe it means that if you say you are a Christian or believe in YHVH, then you should be a Christian or YHVH’s child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You should not have to tell people that you are a Christian or wear a sign saying you are a Christian. People around you should be able to tell that you are a Christian without you telling them. They should be able to discern that you are a Christian by your fruits and acts and words. If you say you are a Christian because you are a member of a church or attend a Christian service once or twice a year or every week, but if you act like a child of satan the rest of the time, you are taking His name in vain.
To be a Christian should be a challenge. If you are not being persecuted, you are not walking closely with Yeshua (Jesus). We are told YHVH does not give us the Spirit of Fear in 2 Tim 1:7. Yeshua tells us in Luke 21:12, that before the start of the last 7 years, Daniel’s 70th week or as commonly know as the Tribulation, Christians will be persecuted. Do not fear persecution, expect persecution if you are being righteous in YHVH’s eyes.
Many skeptics have argued that specific books do not contain prophecy as they claim the books were written after the events and thus were historical books. Archaeologists have found proof that the books containing prophecies were written hundreds or even thousands of years before the prophecy was fulfilled. Professor Lawrence Mykytiuk confirmed 50 biblical figures in the bible and published in the March/April 2014 Biblical Archaeology Review from Purdue University. What does the Bible say about prophecy? It is the most important gift of Elohim [1 Cor 14:1]. Prophecy in the Bible is more important than witnessing Jesus on earth as it proves the Bible is the Truth. [1 Pe 1:19] Only Elohim can prophecy with preciseness the events that will occur in the future, sometimes thousands of years in the future. Biblical Scholars count over 8,000 prophecies in the Bible. About 70% of them have been fulfilled, precisely.
Prophecies are not to scare you or anyone else. They are to prepare the Believer for events when they occur. The last prophecy fulfilled is the return of Jewish people to the Promised Land [Isaiah 43:5-6 and Zechariah 8:7-8]. There are 2 other prophecies that have been partially fulfilled, Is 17 (Damascus)and Is 19 (Egypt). Some of the most astonishing prophecy fulfillment were the 300+ prophecies that Jesus fulfilled.
The more you study the Bible; you will discover new meanings for various verses through asking wisdom from Elohim (God of Israel). Is prophecy being fulfilled today? Yes it is. While most of the prophecies are related to the middle eastern nations, some prophecy is being fulfilled in America, today. Remember the verse Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. We commonly paraphrase this verse as “History repeats itself”. A Messianic (Jewish person who believes in Jesus /Yeshua) Rabbi Jonathon Cahn wrote a book called the “Harbinger”. He has made a movie that captures the essence of how America is repeating an old Jewish kingdom. It is very good and relates to America’s warning of September 11, 2001 or 9/11. Collapse of AMERICA – September 2015 – Will The Stock Market Crash? Is This Real? WATCH NOW! .
Some of the prophecies being fulfilled today are Gen 3:15, Gen 19, Is 9, Is 17, Is 19, Ez 32, Jer 49, Jer 50, Amos 4:7 and Hosea 4. Luke 21:11 prophecy’s the increase and intensity of earthquakes and pestilences on earth. The Elam prophecy is about to be fulfilled Jer 49:36-39. The prophecies in Psalms 83 and Ez 38-39, current events show how the enemies of Israel are being put in place to fulfill these prophecies.
Augustine discovered “The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed; The Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed”.
Most attacks on the authenticity of the Bible concern prophesy contained in the various books, more than 8,000 prophecies. Daniel, Isaiah, and other books by prophets have been under heavy attack by atheists and agnostics. In 2 Peter, YHVH (Hebrew name for the unpronounceable name of the God of Israel) dictates these words for Peter to write that tells us the prophecy in the Bible is more sure than witnessing YHVH speaking to His son during baptism and Jesus (Yeshua) being resurrected and ascending into heaven. Today we see many magicians performing impossible acts and thus their eyewitness accounts of Jesus being crucified would be diminished. Elohim is saying that foretelling future events (prophecy) that are proven hundreds or thousands of years after the prophecy is made is more important or sure than witnessing the life of Jesus or seeing His crucifixion. No other book has ever had the accuracy of prophecy fulfilled and certainly not the number of predictions.
The King James Version (KJV) does not use the various names of Elohim that were contained in the original Hebrew text. Perhaps the translators thought it would be easier for the average reader of the Bible to use the word “God” instead of all the various titles. I agree with this concept as it does reduce confusion and makes the Bible easier to read. We do not have to refer to a reference to find out what each name means nor if the scripture is talking about Elohim. As I study the Word more, I get a richer meaning by knowing which Elohim’s title is used. The only English version that gives the original Hebrew/Aramaic title in the scriptures is the version named “Halleluyah Scriptures”. This version is only for the dedicated person seeking more from the Word. You can get it at . It does come with a reference book to look up the various names and their meanings.
2Pe 1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from Elohim the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Some prophesy has already been fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies during His life, crucifixion and resurrection. Some of the prophecies were written a thousand + years before His birth. Enoch stated the first prophecy. Some of the prophecies are being fulfilled in our lifetime. Hal Lindsey is a bible scholar of high renown. Dr. Lindsey has researched the prophecies of the Bible and has counted over 70% of all prophecies have occurred. All of the prophecies fulfilled are precisely fulfilled, just like Judas taking 30 pieces of silver to betray his friend and the 30 pieces of silver ends up in the Potter's hand [Zec 11:12-13].
Daniel 9:25 prophecies the exact day that Jesus would come to Jerusalem and be proclaimed King. That day was over 500 years from the date of the prophecy.
Prophecies fulfilled, authenticate the Bible. Peter tells us that prophecy is the more sure way of faith. The Bible is the only book in the world that makes predictions/prophecies hundreds of years in advance and some are thousands of years before the event occurs. The fulfillment of prophecy authenticates the Bible and proves that Elohim is outside of our time dimension.
Some agnostic/atheist scholars have argued about the time certain books of the Bible were written. The most attacked book is the Book of Daniel as it contains very detailed prophesy that has been partially fulfilled. Many of the arguments are dismissed once the Septuagint (LXX) was authenticated as being written in 270 B.C. The Septuagint was commanded to be written by the Greek empire and is well documented. Archaeologists, many were atheists, have authenticated the translation. The Septuagint was a Greek translation of all the Old Testament books written in Hebrew and Aramaic and contained the book of Daniel.
The Muslims call Muhammad “The Prophet”. I have searched the Quran and did not find even one prophecy from Muhammad.
J. Barton Payne in his Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy lists all the prophecies, predictive verses and how many predict different matters. The separate matters is consistent with other subjects in the Bible. There is not a book on baptism. The understanding and practice and meaning of baptism is spread throughout the Bible. In the same manner, there are more than one instance of a prophecy on an important subject. Payne lists 8,362 predictive verses, 1,817 predictions and 737 separate matters.
Elohim knew that people would try to remove verses, as the Gnostics did in Alexander, Egypt, so all major doctrines are spread throughout the Bible. The Gnostics in Alexandra, Egypt were the first to remove verses and insert their own words. Some churches today teach that they have replaced Israel in the Bible. To avoid embarrassing questions, they do not teach the book of Revelation. Revelation is the only book in the Bible that claims a blessing to all that read and understand it.
Others attack the Bible since it contradicts Darwin’s theory of evolution. The Darwinians have never proven the concept of evolution, yet it still is being taught in schools. DNA was discovered and mapped. Thereafter, because of the complexity of DNA, mathematicians and physicists quickly dismissed the Darwin theory of evolution as being impossible to occur as a random occurrence, as Darwin’s theory proposes. Human DNA has over 3 billion possible combinations. The probability of a human DNA strand being formed in a random/Darwin process is 1 × 10650 . To put this probability into non-mathematics terms, it would be like winning every Powerball drawing, each drawing, twice a week, 52 weeks a year, for the next 10,000+ years. Mathematicians and physicists consider any probability this large to be absurd to be done by random chance just as a person winning so many consecutive Powerball lotteries.
Astronomers have many problems to prove their theory of the Big Bang Theory which is simply put “from nothing, a big explosion occurred and created the universe”. Some of the problems are due to time. Time was first being proven by Einstein as being another dimension and was constant in its speed using light as his basis. Now time/light has been shown that it is slowing down. Some of the theories used to determine the distance of stars depended on the speed of light and the shift of certain colors of light versus time. There are many quotes in the Bible as to Elohim stretching the heavens and now astronomers are beginning to believe in the heavens being stretched which would account for the jumps in the shift of the light spectrum rather than a smooth, continuous change.
This change is familiar to us as a Doppler shift in sound. When we are standing still, the sound of a police siren on a car coming towards us changes continuously and as it passes us and goes farther away it smoothly changes again. What astronomers are seeing would be similar to us listening to a siren coming towards us and jumping pitches suddenly, multiple times, as it approaches us. This would be accounted for by the police car moving in excess of the speed of sound for a block, slowing down to normal speed, then moving faster than the speed of sound again for a block, then slowing down repeatedly. The same effect that astronomers are observing could be caused by someone, Elohim, stretching the fabric of the heaven instantaneously, thus jumps in the color spectrum of light.
The scientific established community is fighting these proven theories, because accepting the theory would upset all the established beliefs or axioms. A very similar reaction from the established scientific community occurred when Galileo, in the 17th century, when he published his findings that the earth revolved around the sun which was just the opposite that scientists and the Catholic Church believed. They tried to burn Galileo at the stake for these theories which have been proven.
A quick analogy of Elohim’s view of time is like us watching a long parade from a helicopter and being able to see the beginning and the end at the same time.
Geologists are having similar problems with their theories that date earth formations millions of years. The depth of the silt at the delta of the Mississippi River indicates thousands of years of deposit and not millions of years.
Dinosaur bones have been found in Montana and North Dakota. Bones were found and dissected. Upon dissection, blood and blood vessels were found in the bones which indicate the bones were at most 20,000 years old and probably a lot younger. Archaeologists claim that dinosaurs disappeared 65 million years ago.
The Grand Canyon formation is another problem. The geological column used to date layers of earth has never been observed in nature. In fact, layers have been observed in nature out of the order predicted. The Grand Canyon is an example. They had a major problem when dinosaur and man footprints were found in the same rock strata. Archeologists and geologists have maintained that the times dinosaurs were on earth and died out were 10s of millions of years before man appeared. These footprints on the same strata of rock create a big problem for them. They have a problem when petrified trees are found extending through several layers of rock that represent 20 to 100 million years of growth if the trees were growing and alive during the formation of the various rock layers.
The chart below shows how the English versions of the Bible were created. The Tyndale Bible was the first English version of the Bible in 1526. The King James Version of the Bible was not created until the printing press was invented and the middle ages were over that suppressed laymen having copies of the Bible.
The acronyms used in the chart are;
LXX = Greek Septuagint, completed in 270 B.C. after the Greeks conquered the world and made everyone speak and write in Greek, the text contains all the Old Testament plus some books that are not included, this was used by the apostles in spreading the word of Elohim after Jesus ascended
MT = Masoretic Text, is a Hebrew text and is currently used in the Jewish faith. There are some 6,000 differences between the older Hebrew texts and the Septuagint, with 1,000+ being significant. The original text is at the Leningrad Library. It was created to differentiate the Jewish Bible from the Christian use of the LXX.
TR = Textus Receptus is the Latin version used to create the German translation for the Luther Bible.
NIV = New International Version uses modern English and is more topical in its translation. This Bible interprets verses as the editors believe. They give only their interpretation and scholars have criticized some of their interpretations.
OL = Old Latin. The Romans were conquers of the world and wanted everyone to speak their language, Latin. As a result, they translated the Greek language Septuagint into Latin about the 3rd century A.D.
Vulgate = The Old Latin version was updated as the Roman language of Latin evolved.
The English version of our Bible’s genealogy is:
The early editions of the English Bible were written knowing if they were caught, they would be burned at the stake. Lay people were not allowed to have a copy of the Bible.
Which version is the best? The one you like to read is the answer and know how it differs from the original text. The differences are not only the translation of words or transliteration of names, some versions omit verses. You should be aware that some versions are not as accurate as others and some leave verses out of the scriptures. The King James Version [KJV] is the most widely read and has been in print over 400 years. It does have a few translation problems, but these few instances are well known and documented. So whatever version you like to read, check some verses and chapters occasionally with the KJV especially if your version does not make sense or feel right to you. Also refer to commentaries of that version. By reading several versions of the same verse, sometimes you will gain a deeper understanding of the verse. Of course the best route to understanding a chapter or verse is to pray for Elohim to give you understanding.
A new version called the International Standard Version or ISV is not in print yet, only digital via an eBook at for download to your electronic reader/tablet/iPad. At e-Sword, you will download the basic information or KJV and then update/increase the versions downloaded by clicking on the Download tab and chose Bibles. The big advantage of eSword is that you can switch between version easily for the same verse. The other feature is that it is downloaded to your reader or laptop, you do not need to have an internet connection to read the e-Sword Bible. If you prefer just an on-line Bible, there are several to choose. I like the Blue Letter Bible the best as it makes it easy to switch to different version and has a vast library of commentaries on each book and chapter of the Bible. You can access it at .
Some of the others like BibleHub.com displays several versions of a verse on the same page. This is the link to it .
You might notice that Elohim was a mathematician as numbers are used to describe certain things.
The number 7 is sometimes related to Elohim but more accurately I believe it is a symbol for completeness. As you read the Bible you will notice that a lot of things appear as 7 or as a multiple of 7. Here are a few words. The chart is organized with the word in the first column, the number of times that word appears in the Old Testament in the 2nd column, the number of times it appears in the New Testament in the 3rd column, the 4th column shows the total of times used and the 5th column shows the multiple of 7. While this does not prove anything, just interesting, it does give me a feeling the Old and New Testament is one book. One way to think of this is if you could remove one page from the Bible and not change anything, which page would you remove? The answer is the page that has the New Testament written on it that separates the Old and New Testament section. Dr Panin, PhD from Harvard, found Christ and dedicated many years of his life to discovering relationships in the Bible. He found many different mathematical relationships based on 7. He found a number of words that appear in the Old Testament and the New Testament that when added together are a multiple of 7. The fancy word for the base of 7 is Heptatic.
We should be familiar with some of the idioms used in the Bible to understand it quicker. One person has many different names in the Old Testament and New Testament. The fallen angel we call Satan or Lucifer.
Satan is titled “the Father of Lies” in Jn 8:44. I find it interesting to compare Satan to Islam’s Allah. In Mat 24:4-5, Jesus warns us twice about being deceived. One of the titles that Allah applies to himself in the Qu’ran is Allah Makr. Allah Makr is translated as “Allah is the Best Deceiver” in Qur’an 3:54, Qur’an 7:99 , Qur’an 8:30, Qur’an 10:21 and Qur’an 13:42. It certainly seems that Allah and Satan are the same entity. http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Allah_the_Best_Deceiver .
Remember that Elohim created Lucifer as the most beautiful angel. During the Dark Ages (476 AD to 1000 AD), Lucifer was given horns, pitchfork and colored red. His appearance was changed to menacing.
Jewish scholars have found codes in the original Hebrew text that prove the authenticity that the Bible was authored outside of our time domain. One scholar found the Jewish name for the first 5 books of the Bible, TORH (English Torah), hidden in the first five books. The first 2 books had TORH spelled correctly and the last 2 had it spelled backwards, in effect pointing to the middle book. This was discovered by a 49 Equidistant Letter Sequence (ELS) of 49, which is Elohim’s perfect number of 7, times 7.
The middle book, Leviticus, had Elohim’s Jewish name YHWH or YHVH (pronounced Yah’-way). YHWH was found with a 7 ELS.
The reason why you see Hebrew text with different letters for the same word is that the letters in some words are inferred by context and some were letters were created many years after the other letter. Many challenges of translating from one language to another. This instance of using a V or a W is an example of a translator’s preference.
The two books on the end are pointing to our Messiah in the center which is the Hebrew unpronounceable name of Elohim – YHWH (I pronounce it as Yah’ – way).
This same type of coding, ELS, is used by our DNA and RNA in constructing proteins in our bodies and in all other life forms that use DNA. It is also error correcting.
If you think this is a simple code as some skeptics dismiss this evidence, try writing an ELS code in a letter that makes sense on the surface but contains a hidden message. This is difficult to do with a computer. Now, write 4 more letters with the same hidden message but different surface topics in each letter, similar to the first 5 books of the bible. It has taken over 4,000 years to discover this code. These messages infer supernatural intelligence.
This is similar to written languages around the world. Those languages East of Israel write “right to left” and those West of Israel write “left to right”. The languages point to Israel as these books point to Jesus.
A similar code appears between Gen 1:29 and Gen 2:9. Trees are first mentioned in Gen 1:29 and the next time in Gen 2:9. Searching the verses between these two mentions of trees, you can find the names of all 26 different species of trees Elohim created. These names are found in the Bible in plain text.
You can explore this subject more with this YouTube video with world famous Bible scholar Dr. Chuck Missler of Koinonia House (http://khouse.org/). The link is “ “ or search for Bible Codes in YouTube.
The Bible Codes prove that the Bible is written for many levels of understanding and is authentic. The codes prove the Bible is authored by a Supernatural Intelligence. Bible Codes are sometimes used incorrectly to do “fortune telling”. Many things can be used for good or evil.
You should prove to yourself how difficult it is to write a simple Bible Code using ELS. Chose a word. Then chose an ELS like 2 or 7 (Elohim’s favorite number). If you choose 2 and your word is Jesus (5 letters), then write 10 (2 × 5) underscores. On the 2nd underscore write a J, skip an underscore and write E and continue until you have _ J _ E _ S _ U _ S. Now fill in the 5 blank spots with letters to make a proper word that is acceptable in a game like Scrabble. If that is challenging, try changing the ELS and word. You will get the idea soon that this is not a simple task. Then look at the above table of trees that have different ELSs and overlap. Then read the plain text of the Bible. How much intelligence do you have to have to write all the names of the trees in code between the first two mentions of trees and have the plain text make sense? I think the answer is “Supernatural” intelligence. Now write that in Hebrew as the Bible Codes only apply to the original text. The original text was written without spaces between words and no punctuation. The reader would have to parse the words, sentences, paragraphs and chapters.
Some people have claimed that if you use a large volume text, like War and Peace, you will find hidden names and meanings. They do find hidden names but those names are not relevant to the book. Any name they do find is not relevant to the book or relevant to the text.
An old joke, a scientist claims that he can do anything that Elohim can do. When Elohim says, “All right, you go ahead and make a man,” the scientist responds, “Okay! I will!” The scientist starts to reach down to grab a handful of earth, but Elohim stops him. “Nuh-uh,” Elohim says. “Go get your own dirt.”
The Old Testament is comprised of 39 books. They were originally written in Hebrew and Aramaic. They contain over 8,000 prophecies. They have over 300 prophecies concerning Jesus Christ in His first coming. Jesus fulfilled all of the prophecies pertaining to Him, even the prophecy, made hundreds of years before Christ’s birth, that a friend would be paid exactly 30 pieces of silver to betray Him. The first 5 books are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy and they were written by Moses. These books are also known to Jewish people as the Torah or TORH (Hebrew language infers vowels like the “a”). The book of Genesis covers a historical time period from our creation in Genesis 1 and continues 2,500 years. Then the book Exodus begins. I will include timeline graphs to show the historical events unfold in chronological order. After Jesus was resurrected, He walked with 2 disciples and explained where He was found in each book of the Old Testament.
As you read the Bible you will notice that there are normally 4 events that precede YHVH’s judgment. The events are 1) Shedding of innocent blood, including abortions, 2) people turning to idolatry,[Lev 18:24] 3) people becoming immoral or judges allowing perverse sexual deviations,[Jer 23:10] and 4) breaking of His covenants [Is 24:5-6].
YHVH’s judgment is an often repeated pattern in the Bible. The first phase is the installation of a wicked King. If the people do not repent, the second phase is the revealing of the wickedness or evil or dark secrets of the land. The third phase is captivity. Pastor Paul Begley had a word from the Lord that revealed this pattern. Current events reveal that Obama is the wicked King of America. We are now in the second phase of dark secrets being revealed like the selling of aborted fetal parts by Planned Parenthood. We are praying that the nation repents and is not forced into captivity.
The name Joshua is another form of the name Jesus. In many ways, Joshua foreshadows the future when Jesus is on the earth. It may also be a foreshadowing of the book of Revelation. The Jubilee Year does not start until Joshua conquers the land. A Jubilee year is the year following 7 sabbatical weeks (7 × 7 years or 49 years). The issues of a Jubilee year is that all debts are forgiven, all land returned to the original owner and all slaves go free.
The name Joshua in Hebrew is Yeshua. The Hebrew name Yehoshua is the name of Jesus.
Elohim spoke to Joshua after Moses’ death. He told Joshua that no man would be able to stand before him. Elohim instructed Joshua to kill all the people and sometimes animals of a specific city. These people and sometimes animals were contaminated with non-human DNA. The Greek and Egyptian deities were sometimes half human and half animals. I grew up believing that these tales were myths but now I believe that these creatures really existed as satan manipulated their DNA. Today we are able to create animals with human organs. One of the more famous examples is a mouse with a human ear.
Joshua called the officers of his people to him to make plans for the conquering of the Promised Land. Joshua sent 2 spies ahead to the city of Jericho. The spies went to Jericho and found a harlot, prostitute, named Rahab. She hid the spies overnight and they promised to protect her when the army came back to seize the town. They told her to tie a scarlet cord in her window. She should bring all of her relatives to her house and keep them there until they came back. Rahab is in direct lineage to David and Jesus Christ. The spies would be unharmed when they returned to Joshua with their report.
Interesting that she instructed them to hide in the mountains for 3 days, just like Jesus was buried for 3 days before resurrection.
Joshua had the officers prepare to cross the Jordan River during harvest time which is when the Jordan floods and overflows its banks. Joshua told his men to follow the priests carrying the ark into the river. When the priest’s sandals were in the water, the river parted. The priests remained there until the entire nation, several million people, had passed across the dry riverbed. Joshua had an officer of each tribe pick up a stone from the river bed and bring them to the spot the priests had stood with the ark to part the Jordan waters. The twelve stones representing the 12 tribes were piled up and remain there today. A memorial house was built later on the Israel side and called the House of Passage. One more time the bible is very exact on the location where they crossed the Jordan. This should make you curious and remember this crossing place. Many years later Jesus was baptized at this same place in the Jordan by John the Baptist. How could Moses, who died thousands of years before the birth of Jesus, know the importance of this spot? Only Elohim, being outside of our time would be able to do so and directed Moses to this place.
All the children born in the wilderness had not been circumcised. Elohim told Joshua to circumcise all the men and children born in the wilderness at Gibeath-haaraloth in Israel. The manna stopped coming and the people ate the fruit of the land once they crossed the Jordan and were in Israel.
Joshua advanced to Jericho and was met by a Man with a drawn sword. Joshua asked Him who He was and He responded with I am the Prince of the Lord’s Host. Since Joshua was in the presence of Jesus, he removed his sandals and worshipped Him. We know the Man was not an angel, as angels do not allow themselves be worshipped. Whenever it is Elohim or Jesus, the person is on Holy ground and they remove their shoes or sandals.
There are several places in the Bible where an angel appears. The men removed their sandals and bowed to the angel. The angel quickly tells them to put their sandals back on and stand up as they are not to be worshipped.
Joshua brought his army to the city of Jericho. Jericho was prepared for a siege and no one entered or left. The battle plan Joshua told his army, priests bearing the ark and 7 priests with shofars (ram horns that sound like trumpets) that they were to march around the city walls once each day for 6 days in silence, perhaps similar to the silence in Revelation before a seal was opened. Joshua was breaking Levitical law, from the book of Leviticus, by involving the priests in the battle. The seventh day, they were to march around the city walls blowing the shofars. When the army heard a long blast of the shofars, they were to shout. The city walls fell down when the army shouted. All the inhabitants and animals of Jericho were killed except for Rahab and her family.
The reason why all humans and animals were killed was because of the Nephilim contamination of the animals and the people’s DNA. The contamination occurred because Satan was trying to prevent Jesus from being born as The Messiah and could not be born from a woman with modified DNA. This battle over human DNA started in Genesis 3:15 as Elohim declared a war between He and satan.
All the spoils of bronze, iron, gold and silver were melted down and put into the Lord’s treasury.
Saving Rahab was important as Jesus was a direct descendant of Rahab.
A problem occurred when one man of the army did not destroy some items as directed but took some of the things. Elohim was furious. Joshua sent a small army to conquer the city of Ai. The Hebrews were routed. Joshua prayed to Elohim and Elohim told him one of his army took some items. Joshua found the man, the men stoned him, his family and gathered all that he possessed. Then they burned them. Elohim was satisfied with their repentance and obedience. This was their only loss in a 7 year campaign to secure their land.
Joshua then gathered his army and marched against the city of Ai again. This time they had complete success. Again all the inhabitants were killed but their animals were taken as spoil. The army took all their valuables for themselves.
An interesting battle occurred at Beth-Horon. The remaining kings formed a confederation with the King of Jerusalem to defeat Joshua. Elohim intervened and destroyed their armies with meteorites, fire from the sky. Elohim will use meteors/asteroids later in the bible during the end times. Joshua now had the advantage but needed more daylight to complete the annihilation of their armies. Joshua prayed to Elohim to extend the day so he could complete the task Elohim gave him. Elohim kept the sun shining through the next day and Joshua killed all the opposing armies.
Many scientists have dismissed this as a fairy tale. Yet many ancient societies recorded this day in their annuals, thousands of miles away, as the longest day. Many recorded the day as their longest night.
A theory is that another planet eclipsed the sun. He calls the planet 7X or by others Nibiru. Gil uses 7X as the planet is 7 times the size of earth. The name of the video is “Plant 7X Theory (Coming March 26, 2016) Gil Broussard” . Broussard has had his calculations verified by at least 12 other renowned mathematicians, including one from NASA. Broussard is a Christian and his theory explains several other strange celestial events recorded in the Bible.
I like this theory as it explains the change in calendars in 701 BC although Broussard’s theory might be expanded to include this event not recorded in the Bible. A theory about Mars orbiting near Earth at the time and having a near miss with the earth could explain this event scientifically. Source is “Recent Organization of the Solar System” by Donald W. Patten and Samuel R. Windsor [+ http://www.creationism.org/patten/PattenRecOrgSolSys/PattenRootssCh00aTitle.html+].
Another interesting fact is that Jonathon Swift wrote Gulliver’s Travels in the early 1700’s that describe the 2 moons of Mars and their relative sizes and that one moon rotates backwards. It was not until 1877 that Asaph Hall with his new telescope was able to see Mar’s moons. So how did such an accurate legend occur for J. Swift to write his novel? This could only happen if the orbits of Mars and the Earth were different thousands of years ago and Mars had close approaches to the earth. Other civilizations deified Mars as the Elohim of war. Why?
Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) wrote Gulliver’s Travels in 1726. It was a trilogy and one book is named “Voyage to Laputa”. In the book, Swift details the size, revolutions and orbits of the 2 moons of Mars. The moons of Mars cannot be seen from Earth without a telescope. The moons are very low reflectivity, meaning they are very difficult to see-even with a telescope. The question is how did Swift know their size, rotation and orbits, 151 years before they were discovered by an astronomer at the US Naval Observatory using a just developed new telescope?
Was it a guess? Start calculating the probabilities of Swift guessing all the characteristics he detailed in his book. The rotation of moons are normally in the same direction.
You need to understand some physics to understand what the following chart depicts. We all understand gravity is the force that keeps our feet on Earth. Gravity is caused by the earth spinning, like the force that keeps water in a pail if we swing it over our heads or amusement rides that spin and keeps us pinned to our seat. We know Earth creates gravity and our moon rotates around the Earth and kept in place by gravity. The planets in our solar system rotate around the sun and kept in place by our sun’s gravity force. Mars spins and has gravity as it circles the sun. A theory is centuries ago, Mars had a different orbit and came close to Earth at times. The theory explains why someone on Earth was able to see Mars’ moons without a telescope and determine their approximate sizes and direction of their rotation. On one close pass to Earth, the interaction of the Earth’s gravity, Mars’ gravity and our sun caused Mars orbit to change and Earth’s orbit to change to what the orbits of Mars and Earth is today. The result shows up in our calendars. All the civilizations on Earth changed from 360 days per year in 701 B.C. to our current calendar year of 365 1/4 days or some other way to account for annual change. No one has discovered any ancient documents explaining why all the calendars changed the number of days in a year at the same time.
We do know that ancient civilizations worshipped Mars. Most of the legends associate Mars with war or other violence. Why? One theory that explains several things is that the Earth and/or Mars had different orbits than they do now. The orbits of Mars and the Earth are theorized to have almost intersected every 108 years. With Mars being that close, observers on Earth could have seen Mars’ two moons, their size and rotation. We know our moon controls the waves and tidal action in our oceans and seas because of its gravity pull. Our moon is 1/2 the size of Mars. So whenever a close encounter with Mars would occur, the tides on earth would change and the height of the waves would increase. We could expect greater earthquake activity. Everyone on Earth would notice and see Mars close encounter with Earth. Perhaps meteorite storms would accompany the close encounter.
Mars would reflect the Sun’s light and become a 2nd sun to us. This would explain the longest day recorded in Joshua 10:13. The close encounter would also account for the stones cast down from heaven in Jos 10:11. The day of the battle was October 25, 1404 B.C. Notice the year was 1404 B.C. or 703 years before all calendars were changed in 701 B.C.
A verse in Is 13 tells of Elohim moving the Earth out of its place in the end times.
Isa 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place,
The following chart depicts calculated orbits of Mars and the Earth before 701 B.C. Our sun is the orange ball in the center of Earth’s orbit.
The other kingdoms in Israel, the Promised Land, were dealt with in like manner. Some scholars believe that some Nephilim fled Israel during Joshua wars with the kingdoms. There is some evidence that at this period of time, strange people appeared in various regions of the world.
Elongated skulls were another common trait and skulls around the world, including the Egyptians, have been recovered with elongated skulls. L.A. Marzulli has documented these findings on a series of DVDs called the Watchers. He is currently working on his 9th in the series. The first few can be found on YouTube .
How does Darwin explain the evolution of ancient men with a height of 20 or 30 or 40 feet or taller and now declining to an average of 5’10”. The Smithsonian Institute, in Washington DC, was forced by the US Supreme Court to release documents, photos and admitted in court that they destroyed thousands of giant skeletons over the years. [+ http://thegoodlylawfulsociety.org/smithsonian-hidden-evidence-ancient-giants-earth/+]
Amo 2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. [KJV]
The temple in Jerusalem that Solomon built used Lebanese cedars. The Lebanese cedars on the slopes of Mount Makmel that tower over the Kadisha Valley, where the Cedars of Elohim are found at an altitude of more than 2,000 metres (6,600 ft). Four trees have reached a height of 35 metres (115 ft). and their trunks are 12–14 metres (39–46 ft) around. Today, their height is 82 feet.
Perhaps the verse in Numbers has more meaning with the prior descriptions of cedars and compared to the Nephilim.
Num 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. [KJV]
If a grasshopper is 3” high and the spies 5’ tall or the men were 20 times taller than the grasshoppers. The giants described in the same ratio would be 100’ tall. This height would certainly compare to the height of cedars. It would also explain how Goliath was able to fight with the weight of his body armor being several hundred pounds.
There are 35 of Tribes of Giants mentioned in the Bible or the Nephilim:
Joshua did all that Elohim commanded. Although some of the Anakim Nephilim remained outside of Israel in Gaza, Gath and Ashdod, they would be dealt with later, one in particular by David.
The American Indians custom of raising their hand and spreading their fingers so they could be counted is attributed to a common trait of the Nephilim having 6 fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. The Indians wanted to know if the stranger was a Nephilim. The largest human skeleton ever found was a man 36 feet tall. Some skeleton remains in the USA confirm the presence of 8-17 foot plus heights plus the additional digits.
Some scholars see a parallel between Joshua and Revelation and the end times. Joshua conducted a 7 year campaign and the tribulation lasts 7 years. Joshua fought against 10 nations of which 4 confederated making 7 which is the same as the beast. Joshua sent 2 spies into Jericho and 2 witnesses are sent to earth from heaven in Revelation. Joshua had 7 trumpet blows at Jericho and there are 7 trumpet events in Revelation. The enemies are eventually defeated by hailstones and fire (meteors or fireballs) from heaven, signs in the heavens.
If we compare the books of Joshua and Revelation we find some similarities.
The enemies of Joshua and Elohim became confederated under a single leader. Joshua had to contend with Adoni-Zedek or Lord of Righteousness in Jerusalem. Elohim contends with Satan.
Both enemies were defeated with hailstones and fire from Heaven. Signs or signals from Elohim were in the Sun, Moon and Heavens.
Kings hide in caves and wish that the rocks would fall on them. In Revelation, men wish to die but cannot.
These chapters describe the land each of the 12 Hebrew tribes were awarded by Moses. Each of the tribes then awarded tribal members plots of land.
During the discussions with Moses before they entered the Promised Land, some fathers did not have sons. The law was that the father would pass on his land to his sons. If he did not have a son, no provision was made. A father had only two daughters. The daughters of Zelophehad appealed to Moses to ask Elohim for a special law which he granted [Num 27:1-11]. If a father had only daughters he could pass his land to the daughters. If the daughters married, the father of the daughter could chose to adopt the the groom as his son and the son-in-law would take his bride’s family name. Thus the father’s family name would be carried forward as the custom was for the bride to accept the family name of the groom. This new law or provision would be instrumental in the future to establish Jesus lineage to King David. The law applied to Mary, mother of Jesus. Joseph was adopted by Mary’s father which circumvented the curse on his biological family line while maintaining his blood line from King David. Mary had her bloodline from King David fulfilling prophecy.
The daughters of Zelophehad married after crossing into the Promised Land and Moses had died. They petitioned Joshua [Jos 17:3-6] to allow their father to adopt their husbands as sons and therefore leave an inheritance to them and his daughters [Ezra 2:61, Neh 7:63, Num 32:41, 1 Chr 2:21-23, 1 Chr 2:34-35].
The book of Joshua is compared to the book of Ephesians to differentiate Elohim’s vision between His people and nation of Israel and the Church. This comparison also causes those that think the church has replaced Israel in Elohim’s promises some difficulties in their rationale.
Both Joshua and Ephesians opened by a Divinely Appointed Leader. Each was given Grace and received by faith. Both had Divine relationships and had warfare and conflicts.
Joshua represents Israel and the Ephesians the Church. Both had to enter their kingdoms and take possession. Joshua had an Earthly inheritance while the Ephesians had a Heavenly inheritance. Joshua was given Israel through a covenant Elohim made with Abraham while the Ephesians were given the Church from Christ.
Joshua died at the age of 110 years old and was buried near the remains of Joseph. Joseph’s bones were carried out of Egypt to be buried in Israel.
The book starts off with success. The Israelites continue the reclaiming of the land that Joshua started to reclaim before he died. Judah fights and claims the land of Canaan. They defeated 70 kings. This book reminds me of the USA. We started very good and then in the last 50 years we have declined rapidly in loving Elohim and following His commandments. Abortions kill about 800,000 humans per year . Now we have US Supreme Court judges that made a law of the land that legalizes same sex marriage. Just the same as the judges of Sodom and Gomorrah legalized same sex marriages before Elohim destroyed the cities.
They were unable to defeat some inhabitants in a valley because they had chariots made of iron [Judg 1:19]. What were these devices? Advanced technology from Nephilim – Tanks – UFO? Why only in this valley? I have a lot of questions and no answers in this book, only a short reference. Chariots were made of wood and were drawn by 2 to 4 horses. A chariot made of iron would have weighed at least 12 times as much as a wooden chariot. Therefore I would estimate 24 to 48 horses to draw an iron chariot, if horses were used. I cannot dismiss the idea that this was an advanced technology device that the fallen angels and Satan crafted. No other historical records of chariots mention iron chariots being used or manufactured. What would be the advantage of an iron chariot that was horse drawn? These crafts could have been used to disperse the Nephilim all over the earth as they were kicked out of Canaan.
So we know the fallen angels had advanced technology. Enoch and Elijah was raptured in a UFO or flying chariot. Elohim appeared in a fiery chariot. Elisha had Elohim opened his servant’s eyes to see Elohim’s army in chariots surrounding the city in 2 Kgs 6:17. Today we call them UFOs. I call them Extra Dimensional piloted by Nephilim. Nephilim do not have the Hyper Dimensionality (more than 4 dimensions) as angels. Nephilim need technology to go into different dimensions. Fallen angels are Hyper Dimensional and would not need craft to transport from one place to another. Just like Jesus appearing in the Upper Room, angels are Hyper Dimensional and can suddenly appear anyplace. Some of the UFOs have appeared and disappeared suddenly like a hyper dimensional craft could do.
Other examples of advanced technology are ancient civilization sites that the people disappeared. The stones were cut several thousands of years ago. The common technology of that time was copper. Copper chisels would not cut the hard stone. Some of the stones weigh millions of pounds, largest estimated at 1,600 metric tons or 3.3 million pounds. The world today does not have equipment to lift that weight of stone today, forget about moving that amount of weight in one stone. The most logical explanation is an anti-gravity device.
Then the Israelis began to make mistakes and not follow the commands of Elohim. The people did not slay all the captives, they were made slaves or married them. Worse, they did not destroy all of the altars and graven images to their false gods. Elohim sent an angel to rebuke them. The Israelites began worshipping a false god, Baal and other false gods. Their characteristics were they were unwilling to help others, lived among idols, surrounding nations exploited their weakness and degenerate way of life. Intermarriage caused more problems.
The Jewish people had a pattern in their lives. The Jewish people would sin, then suffer, then repent and then Elohim would restore them to a good life. These patterns repeated 6 times in Judges.
The judges that the people had did not serve them well. Their judges condoned homosexual behavior and same sex marriages. As the years passed, the Jewish people continued to fall away from Elohim. Elohim is patient and merciful. He continued to try to get His people to love Him.
One thing that is noticeable in the Bible is the use of 7 or multiples of 7. The Jewish people are known for looking at patterns. While the 490 year pattern does not readily become apparent until a scholar starts to examine the periods of time and subtracting the years that do not fit or what I would call a waste or the marking of time. The first example below shows Ismael with 15 years being subtracted. The reason is that Elohim told Abram and Sari to have a child at an advanced age. Abram had the faith but Sari did not and substituted her handmaiden to produce Ismael.
This was not Elohim’s command and Elohim waited 14 years to talk with Abram and Sari again, renaming Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah which gave their names more power with Elohim’s breath (..ah’ )inserted into their names. Abraham is a name meaning father of a multitude. Then they had Isaac, which means more power. So, 15 years is subtracted from the time frame.
You notice that the last name on the list of deliverers is Sampson. Sampson grew up loving Elohim and he did many great things. He made a big mistake in marrying Delilah. Sampson turned away from Elohim and lost his great strength. Sampson was tortured and mis-treated after he lost his strength. Sampson repented and asked Elohim for his strength back to do one more deed for Elohim, to destroy the house with 3,000 of Elohim’s enemies. Elohim granted him his prayer as he had repented.
This book is used in some college classes because of the composition. It is considered the ultimate love story. The book is small in number of words yet powerful in the thoughts contained. Some consider it as The Ultimate Love Story and is studied at some colleges. It is a significant book as it describes the role of a Kinsman-Redeemer which Christ uses His position of our Kinsman-Redeemer to open the scroll with 7 seals in Rev 5.
I am including the outline of this book as it organizes the thoughts being conveyed to make it easier to understand when you read the book.
The judges ruled Israel poorly. The judges were corrupt and inept. As a result, harvests were poor and famine was in the land of Israel. Naomi and her husband Elimeclech with their sons left Bethlehem in Israel and traveled south, across the Jordan River to Moab which today is part of the country of Jordan. Naomi’s husband and her two sons died in Moab. Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem with her 2 daughter-in-laws. Naomi tried to dissuade them from journeying with her to Israel. One was dissuaded and one, Ruth, decided to go with her. They settled near one of Naomi’s husband’s relative, Boaz, who was wealthy and owned land.
The customs of Israel stated that the harvest or reaping of a field could be done only once. Whatever grain was left in the field after reaping once was left for the poor, widowed and aged people to glean or collect/harvest. So Ruth went to Boaz’s field to glean. She worked hard and long every day. Boaz noticed her gleaning one day and inquired about her and learned that she was Ruth’s daughter-in-law and how well she was taking care of Ruth and what she sacrificed to leave her land and come to Israel. Boaz liked her and instructed his reapers to leave extra grain in the field for her to glean.
When the harvest was done, the grain was taken to a high windy place to separate the meat of the grain from the husks, a threshing floor. After preparing the grain by breaking the husks, the grain was thrown into the air to separate the meat from the husks. The owner of the grain would sleep on the threshing floor that night and take his grain home the next day. Naomi instructed Ruth to go to the threshing floor and sleep at the feet of Boaz. Boaz woke during the night and discovered Ruth at his feet. Boaz knew why she was there when she asked him to spread his skirt over her. The idiom “spreading his skirt over her” meant that she was asking him to marry her. He gave her a sign to take back to Naomi that he would redeem her, 6 measures of barley. Boaz redeems them by negotiating with the closest kinsman to Naomi and sealed the deal by the closest kinsman giving his sandal to Boaz. By redeeming Ruth, Boaz agrees to redeem her (Naomi’s) property and take Ruth as his bride.
Boaz was 7th generation from Pharez or Perez (names are transliterated or spelled in English as they sound, so you may find different English spellings of the same name). Perez was an illegitimate child. According to Mosaic law, no one in his future genealogy can enter a temple until the 10th generation. King David was the 10th generation from Perez. Boaz had to marry Ruth and have children that would eventually give birth to David.
This book has many levels of meaning and is worth a lot of study. It also gives you insight as to the meaning of Revelation 5. Jesus has to be a kinsman to redeem mankind during the end times related in the book of Revelation. The book of Ruth explains how the process works. The book of Ruth is always read at the Feast of Pentecost (Shavout).
The first translation of the Hebrew scrolls of the original Bible or the Jewish Tenauch or our Old Testament was by 70 scholars and translated the Tenauch into Greek. Their work was completed in 270 B.C. and their work was called the Septuagint or abbreviated as LXX which means 70. There are a few things that are different in the Old Testament (OT) versus the Tenauch. There are 14 fewer books in the OT versus the Septuagint. Christ’s disciples used the Septuagint as their Bible as they spread Christ’s message. There was not a book called 1 Samuel or 2 Samuel. They were called the 1st and 2nd Kingdoms books. First and second Kings were called the 3rd and 4th Kingdoms books. The Latin version of the Bible, Vulgate, came later and shorten the books name of Kingdoms to Kings.
The LXX referred to in the above chart is the Septuagint. Alexander the Great conquered the world and Greece rule continued for several centuries as described in the book of Daniel. The Old Testament portion of the Bible was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic to Greek. The translation was done by 70 scholars and Septuagint in Greek means 70. This work was completed in 270 B. C. All citizens of the world were required to use Greek. All the books of our Old Testament are included in the Septuagint plus some other books that are not in the Old Testament. Hebrew and Aramaic are very dynamic languages with a word meaning several different things depending on the context of the sentence. Greek is a very precise language. When the Romans conquered the world after the Greeks, their language was Latin. The Old Testament plus a few other books are in the Latin translation called the Vulgate.
Samuel was born to Hannah as her first son after years of being barren. Samuel was considered a gift of Elohim to Hannah and thus Hannah gave Samuel to the High Priest Eli to raise as a priest. As a boy, Samuel was sleeping and heard a voice saying Samuel. Samuel ran to Eli. Eli woke up when Samuel came in and said he did not call Samuel. This occurred twice more that night and on the third time, Eli told Samuel that it was the voice of Elohim he was hearing call his name and he should listen to the voice of Elohim. When Samuel hears his voice again, Samuel should say “Speak Lord, your servant is listening”. Samuel went back to sleep and heard Elohim calling his name again and answered Elohim as Eli suggested. Elohim told Samuel that because of Eli’s works, Elohim told him that Eli and his 2 sons would die soon.
The Philistines battled against Israel. Israel had sinned against Elohim and Elohim told the Israelis that He would not protect them. Israel was lost many men in the first day in battle and the Israelis brought the Ark to the battle the next day since it had always helped them in battle. Since Elohim was not with them, Israel lost the battle and the Ark. The Philistines took the Ark and placed it in one of their cities, Ashdod. They placed the Ark next to one of their idol gods that they worshiped, Dagon. The next morning they found the Dagon idol had fallen on its face during the night. They raised Dagon and put him firmly in the ground. The next morning Dagon had fallen again plus his head was cut off and his hands were cut off. Then the people of Ashdod were overrun with mice and then the people got tumors or boils on their bodies.
They sent the Ark back to Israel in a cart without a driver and with a guilt offering of gold. Some of the Israelites decided to open and look into the Ark. This was a forbidden act by Elohim and Elohim killed the 70 men who had looked into the Ark. The people brought the Ark to Samuel who put it into the tabernacle where it remained for about 100 years.
As Samuel was getting old, he appointed his sons as judges to take over for him. They were corrupt. The people complained to Samuel and asked Samuel to appoint a king. Samuel asked for Elohim’s guidance. Elohim told Samuel since they were rejecting Elohim as their King, then He would give them a cruel king. Samuel told the people and they still wanted a king.
Saul was seeking guidance from a prophet to find some donkeys who had strayed and was directed to Samuel. Elohim told Samuel that Saul was to be King of Israel. Elohim gave Saul the gift of prophecy and the people accepted him as their king. Saul was crowned King of Israel at Gilgal. King Saul won many battles for the Israelites.
King Saul made a mistake when he asked Samuel for advice, Samuel gave him advice after consulting Elohim. King Saul became impatient and decided to do what Samuel was to do and King Saul was forbidden to do. Samuel arrived and told King Saul he made a big mistake. King Saul won the battle but the people started to turn against him as their King. Elohim commanded King Saul to do several other things. Each time King Saul did them his own way and not the way Elohim had commanded. King Saul rebelled against Elohim by practicing witchcraft, pagan idolatry worship and did not repent. Samuel told him that the Lord had withdrew his hand from him and he would be replaced.
Samuel found and then anointed David to be the next King. Saul did not know David was to replace him and hired David as his armor bearer and to play a lyre, which is a small harp.
King Saul was battling the Philistines. Each day a Nephilim named Goliath challenged the Israelis that if any man could kill him, all Philistines would be servants to the Israelis and if Goliath killed the Israeli, the Israelis would be servants to the Philistines. Goliath was a giant. His height was 10 feet to 13 feet, depending on how a cubit is defined. The weight of armor he carried is more precise. The bronze helmet on his head and the coat of mail weighed 156 lbs. He also had additional heavy bronze shin armor on his legs. He carried a spear and a javelin to throw at enemies. The shaft of the spear is described as big as a weaver's beam, very large piece of wood maybe weighing a hundred pounds. The head of the spear weighed 19 lbs. How strong would a person have to be to wear 250 + pounds of armor and throw a 100+ pound spear and walk miles to the battle ground and run after the enemy? Goliath did this for 40 days. The Jewish scholars know Elohim uses patterns. Think of where else in the Bible a time frame of 40 is used; Isaac, Noah, Moses in the wilderness, Ark, Joshua, Judges, David and Solomon rule over Israel, Elijah, Jonah, Jesus being tempted by Satan,.+...
King Saul heard that David wondered why the army of the Living Elohim did not conquer Goliath and called David to him. Saul questioned David and David told him that he had protected his flock by killing lions and bears. David said he did not fear Goliath and could kill him with Elohim’s protection. Saul gave David armor and a sword but David refused saying he did not need them, they hindered his movements and as a teen, too small to bear the weight of the armor. David left for the battle and stopped at a brook and picked up 5 stones. One stone was for Goliath and the other 4 were for Goliath’s 4 brothers.
David approached Goliath and Goliath mocked him. David said he was coming in the name of the Lord, the Elohim of Israel. David told Goliath that he would kill him and behead him in the name of the Lord. David used his slingshot to kill Goliath and used Goliath’s sword to behead him. The army of the Philistines fled in fear. The Israelites pursued them and killed them.
Saul’s son Jonathon became David’s best friend and when David returned to Jerusalem with Goliath’s head, Jonathon gave David his own royal robe to wear. David buried Goliath’s head on a hilltop that became known as the hill of skulls or Mt Golgotha or Calvary where Jesus was crucified. King Saul became jealous of David when the people rejoiced David more than they did King Saul. Saul made David a commander in his army and had him fight the Philistines hoping the Philistines would kill David. Saul came up with another plan to kill David and told him he could marry his daughter if he slew 100 Philistines since David had no dowry for his daughter. David slew 200 Philistines. Saul gave his youngest daughter, Michal, to David to marry and Saul became more afraid of David as he saw David had Elohim’s favor. Saul tried to kill David, but Michal helped David escape.
David evaded Saul pursuit for a long time. One night, Saul was sleeping in a cave and Elohim told David where he was. David slipped in and cut off the skirt/hem (symbol of Saul’s authority) of Saul’s robe while Saul slept. David’s men wanted to kill Saul and his band while they slept but David would not allow them to do it. The next day, Saul was riding away and David stopped him to declare, with the cut off skirt in his hand, he meant no harm to Saul. Saul cried and declared a covenant not to kill David if David would promise that Saul’s descendants would retain their inheritance. David promised Saul and Saul knew then that David would be the next King of Israel.
Saul did not keep his promise and pursued David again. Again David slipped into Saul’s camp and took his wineskin and spear from Saul’s side. The next morning David shouted out to Saul that he had taken his spear and wine but did not kill him. David asked why is Saul pursuing him? Saul said he had sinned and invited David to come back to the palace with him. David gave him his spear back and refused to go with Saul to his palace. David then left Israel and fought against Israel’s enemies who were Nephilim to avoid Saul. David would not kill or cause Saul to be killed as Elohim had chosen Saul to be king although Saul had sinned against Elohim and was on the way out.
Saul continued to battle the Philistines and had problems. Saul sank to witchcraft. He found the Witch of Endor who lost control of the séance when the spirit of Samuel appeared and told Saul that because he had sinned against Elohim, Saul and his sons would be killed tomorrow by the Philistines and the Philistines would take over Israel.
Some Christian groups have written plays about the Witch of Endor and perform it on Halloween to give the children an alternate view of the normal demons and devils of the modern Halloween. If you are interested in seeing the scripts, please write and I will send them to you.
David was told of King Saul’s death at a battle with the Philistines and Saul’s 3 sons, including Jonathan. Saul killed himself with his own sword by falling on it. David and his men mourned the death of Saul and Jonathan.
The death of Saul and his sons were written in a book not included in our Old Testament (cannonized) but was in the LXX, the book of Jashar. The LXX was the Bible the disciples of Jesus used and handed out in their ministries. David became King of Judah for 7 years. One of Saul’s sons, Ish-bosheth, was made King of Israel. King David and King Ish-bosheth continued to battle over the years until Ish-bosheth was killed. Then all the tribes of Israel came to David and asked him to be their King as they remembered his good deeds from years earlier. King David began his 40 year reign of Israel and Judah. As David asked for Elohim’s direction to battle the Philistines, David continued his successes over the Philistines.
King David had the Ark of the Lord brought to him in Bethlehem or sometimes called the City of David. Elohim had given Moses specific instructions as to who could touch or carry His Ark. One touched it that was not allowed and immediately died.
The main points of David’s reign are 1) Divine confirmation of throne in Israel, 2) Perpetuity of David’s dynasty, 3) Davidic covenant with Elohim is Unconditional, 4) Jesus is the son of David and Abraham [Mat 1:1] and 5) Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David [Rev 5:5].
King David slew all the tribes that Elohim told him to kill. These tribes had Nephilim contamination and all had to be killed to thwart Satan’s plan to contaminate the seed of man so the messiah could not be born. The other tribes and kingdoms were warring to gain territory and Daniel ended up conquering them and ruling over their land. King David’s army was battling with the Ammonites, far away from Jerusalem. David, from a high balcony in his palace, saw Bathsheba taking a bath in her house and called her to his palace. David and Bathsheba slept together and she became pregnant. David had her husband, Uriah a commander in his army, called to him. David had him assigned to the fiercest fighting and he died. After her period of mourning, Bathsheba married King David and bore a son. David had done evil according to the Lord. The Lord sent a messenger named Nathan to tell David he had sinned. Because David had Uriah slain, the sword would never leave David’s family. Bathsheba’s son became ill and died. Later, Bathsheba would have another son named Solomon.
In 2 Sam 12:10 …The sword shall never depart from thy House…”. David lost moral authority with David’s son, Amnon, raping his daughter Tamar, then another son, Absalom, killing Amnon. Absalom lost a rebellion against his father David with bad counseling from Ahithophel. Then Adonijah seized the kingship from Solomon.
David’s son Amnon was in love with his half-sister Tamar. He devised a scheme to get her into his bedroom and raped her. Another son of David, Absalom, had his brother Amnon killed because he had raped his sister. Absalom then reportedly killed all the other sons of David, but his other sons fled with Absalom fearing their lives for killing Amnon. King David really liked Absalom and allowed Absalom to return to Jerusalem. In time, Absalom’s pride overwhelmed Absalom. As King David accepted Absalom back into the family, Absalom became crafty and devious and envious of King David. Absalom obtained a chariot and 50 slaves to run in front of his chariot to announce his coming like a King. Absalom found ways to usurp King David’s power and eventually forced David into exile. Absalom pursued King David and his army to slay them. Instead, Absalom and his army were slaughtered. King David returned to Jerusalem. David never visited his concubines again.
King David had a turning away from Elohim when he committed adultery and then murder of her husband. He then married other women while being married which was against the law [Deu 17:17]. David did repent [Ps 51] and was sincere. He was a man after Elohim’s heart [1 Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22].
King David still fought the giants or Nephilim of the Philistines. In 2 Samuel 21:20, one type of Nephilim is described having 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot. The army of King David continued to defeat them. David defeated all his enemies to the North, East, South and West.
He was a good administrator/King as he was fair in his judgment and justice to all his people. He did organize the priests into 24 courses which will be the 24 elders in Revelation 4.
David organizes the Priesthood into 24 groups. Each group rotated priest duties weekly. On Elohim’s appointment days or Feast days, all priests participated. In the book of Revelation, 24 priests are there. The book does not explain where they came from or who they represent. One theory is that they are an evolution of these 24 Priesthoods courses.
Elohim instructed David to buy the land for His temple but he could not build a temple, only an altar. The land is the threshing floor which is a high place where grain can be crushed and thrown into the air to separate the meat of the grain from the husk. Even though David could not build the temple himself, he amassed many of the materials necessary to build the temple.
David was not allowed to build Elohim’s temple because of the sins he had committed; adultery and murder. David did repent and was considered a righteous man in Elohim’s eye.
King David was old and frail. King David declared Solomon, 15 years old, to be the next King after him. After 40 years of being King, David died or slept with his fathers and was buried in the City of David which is Bethlehem, where Jesus would be born centuries later. David had expanded the boundaries of Israel, almost to the boundaries of the Promised Land from Elohim.
The dominion of David and Solomon was the region West of the Euphrates River from Tiphsah to Gaza.
The Judges and Kings of Israel were requested by the Jewish people. Elohim wanted to be their King but they wanted a person on Earth. Many of the Judges and Kings started good but all were men and had foibles. Some turned out to be very cruel.
When David became King, he loved Elohim and was Elohim’s beloved. He did commit some sins that prevented Elohim from allowing him to build Elohim’s house which is called a Temple. Elohim told David that his son Solomon would be able to build Elohim’s house. David did acquire a lot of the materials that Solomon would use to build the Temple.
King Solomon spoke with Elohim in the tabernacle. The tabernacle was a mobile House of the Lord that Elohim had instructed Moses to make in the wilderness. Elohim asked what Solomon would like from him. Solomon told Elohim he wanted wisdom, a discerning mind, an understanding mind and a hearing heart. Solomon asked to be a better King. Elohim was pleased that he asked for things to help his people and not selfish things. Elohim granted his wish and also gave him things Solomon had not asked to receive, wealth and honor.
King Solomon was soon confronted with 2 women. Both had just birthed a child. One child died during the first night and the other woman claimed the live child was hers. Solomon said he would cut the child in half and give each woman half the child. One woman said she would take half and the other woman said no, let the child live and give the child to the other woman. Solomon decided the woman who was ready to give up the child was the real mother and gave the child to her.
Solomon became King when he was 15. Adjonijah, his brother, attempted to preempt Solomon but was prevented by another brother Nathan. King David on his deathbed instructed Solomon to exact overdue punishments to Joab and Shimei.
The Temple Solomon built contained a fine grain wood from Lebanon and not the common coarser grained wood locally available. There were 183,000 men building the Temple.
Solomon originated 3,000 proverbs and 1,005 songs.
David had a great friend Hiram, the King of Tyre, in Lebanon. Hiram sent a letter to Solomon when he heard Solomon was building a temple to the Lord and offered all the wood to build the temple. He also offered stone for Solomon to quarry. One of the foundation stones is 39 feet long and is still in place today. The flatness of the stone rivals the stones of the Great Pyramids. There is some conjecture that the stone is under the Dome of the Rock while others point to scripture saying nothing shall be built on the site until the new temple is constructed.
Elohim had very detailed instructions on the architecture of the temple and courtyard. The temple floor was overlaid in gold. It took Solomon 7 years to build the temple.
The main differences between the mobile tabernacle that Moses built and the temple are the pillars in the front, the porch and the storage area for the priests. The diagram shows the layout and the biblical names on the left side of the drawing. The names on the right are spiritual relevance to each part. The naming of parts of the temple as our body reflects Elohim’s message that we are the temple of the Lord.
The temple is very symbolic of man. The High Priest could only enter the Holy of Holies once per year and only after much preparation, very similar to us in achieving a spiritual union with Elohim. The priests would enter the Holy Place daily. Their duties were: 1) to refill the oil lamps and adjust them so they all pointed to the center lamp which is symbolic of Jesus and our heart; 2) replace the bread as we must eat every day and 3) an altar to pray. The porch is symbolic of our willpower. We know the right things to do. The question is whether we will. The 27 foot tall pillars are topped with pomegranates which represent our spirit. The basin of water called the Molten Sea represents the Word of Elohim and is referred to again in Revelation 4:6 and 15:2. Worshipers are to cleanse themselves in the Word before doing anything else after entering. The outer walls are symbolic of our body or skin.
An interesting feature is the wooden rooms around the outside of the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place. Since priest could store anything they wish in their room, I believe they are symbolic of our sub-conscious. Some priests stored forbidden idols. We store thoughts and acts in our minds that we wish to hide and perhaps not remember and did not repent and ask for forgiveness. We all need to sweep out the old garbage from time to time. Sometimes I have to sweep my mind several times before I am finally rid of the thoughts, totally repentant. It only takes one time for Elohim to forgive us.
Note the names of the pillars. Boaz is from the book of Ruth.
While I believe the original text of the Bible is perfect or inerrant, sometimes translators are not perfect. Skeptical mathematicians point to the apparent error in the bible of the dimensions of the laver of the Molten Sea. Archimedes, 250 B.C., is generally given credit for discovering Pi (π) or the ratio between the circumference of a circle (distance around the perimeter) and the diameter. Mathematicians point out the apparent error of dimensions given in the KJV. Elohim is correct, the translators erred.
The Molten Sea is a laver that the people coming to worship or to offer a sacrifice would wash to cleanse themselves of sin. This is symbolic of the word of Elohim that we bathe our soul to cleanse it of sin. In the book of Revelation, the sea that the elders cast their crowns into is the word of Elohim. Jesus is the word.
We examine the English translation by reviewing the original text, in this case Hebrew. We find that the translators erred. In the Hebrew text called the Tenauch, if a scribe making a copy of the text thinks the text he is copying from is wrong, he makes a notation of the original and writes what he thinks it should be. The following chart corrects the text and now the dimensions are consistent with our geometric understanding or mathematically correct. The symbol (pronounced “pie”) is a common mathematical symbol equal to 22/7 or 3.1416.
All things in the Bible are mathematical correct. Remember Nachmonides, also known as Rabbi Moses ben Naḥman Girondi, discovered in Genesis that there are 10 dimensions in our universe in 1120 A.D and particle physicists confirmed his discovery in 1965 A.D. Other scholars with the aid of computers have discovered even more hidden things in the Bible like Genesis 1:1 is the formula for Pi . Pi is a mathematical constant used in many geometry calculations and has an approximate value of 3.1416 or 22/7.
The Queen of Sheba was impressed by what she had heard about Solomon and traveled to meet him. More impressed than ever, she gave him many gifts of gold and precious stones. She left and continued to send Solomon great wealth each year.
Solomon had 700 wives and princesses and 300 concubines. Some of them were foreigners from the lands Elohim specifically told Israelis not to mingle. Elohim was angry that Solomon did evil in His eyes. As Solomon grew old, he turned to idol worship and built idols for his wives. Solomon reigned for 40 years, the same as his father.
An interesting note is that Solomon paid himself 666 shekels per year. The only other time the number 666 is used is in Revelation describing the Mark of the Beast.
Solomon wrote 3,000 proverbs, 1,005 songs and natural history writings. He wrote the Song of Solomon and the underlying mystical suggestions contained in the book.
In 1 Kings 11:11, Elohim tells Solomon that his kingdom will be split into two parts, the Northern and Southern Kingdoms.
Solomon’s failures were breaking the laws concerning kings in Deu 17:16-17. The law states that the king should not multiply his wealth, horses or wives. While Solomon did all these things, perhaps the worst were his 1,000 wives. He set up idols at the behest of his foreign wives. Whenever Solomon is mentioned after his death was not in a positive vein.
Solomon, son of David, passed his reign to his son Rehoboam. He quickly became unpopular because he increased taxation. Another son of David, Jeroboam, moved to Ephraim to build his kingdom in the North. The Northern Kingdom was called Israel and the Southern Kingdom was called Judah.
King Jeroboam accepted bad advice and increased the taxation of his people. He continued his father’s worship to various idols; Chemosh, Baal-Peor, Moab, Moloch and Astoreth. His kingdom was beset by continuous rebellion.
King Rehoboam’s mistakes were similar to his brother. He increased taxes to be excessive. His kingdom was also continuously in rebellion.
The Northern Kingdom suffered from Kings that increasingly became worse than the last king and continually fought with Judah. The kingdom was eventually conquered by the Assyrians.
Meanwhile the Southern Kingdom, Israel, did not fare much better and lost all of the wealth Solomon had accumulated to another son of Solomon, Shishak, who was the King of Egypt.
A later king of Israel was Ahab, who ruled for 22 years. Ahab built more temples to Baal and other false gods which really angered Elohim, more anger than all the kings before him.[1 kgs 16:33] Then Ahab married Princess Jezebel, daughter of the King of Sidon of Lebanon. The walled City of Jericho was built. Elohim knew it was Jezebel that motivated Ahab to provoke Him. [1 Kgs 21:25]
Elijah was a prophet of the Lord. He called for a drought because of the slaying of Elohim’s prophets and idol worship of King Ahab and Jezebel. After several years of drought, Elijah sought King Ahab. He told Ahab to bring 450 Baal prophets and 400 prophets of the Elohimdess Asherah to Mount Carmel.
At Mount Carmel, Elijah made a challenge to the 450 Baal prophets and 400 priests of the Grove. The Grove is a pagan temple constructed on the highest point. The idols represent phallic symbols. The Jews never built their churches on the highest point.
Elijah challenged the 450 prophets and 400 priests to show whether their god(s) were real or Elohim was real. The prophets killed and dressed a bull. They both placed placed their bulls on wood they had collected. Elijah had the Baal prophets call on their Elohim to make fire in their wood. All 450 prophets and 400 priests tried for hours to get their Elohim to make a fire. Elijah mocked them and said they should try crying louder so their Elohim would hear them. They tried all day with no effect. As the evening approached, Elijah repaired the old altar that had been made to offer sacrifices to Elohim and that Jezebel had destroyed. Elijah used 12 stones, one for tribe of Israel. He put the wood and bull on the altar. He had the people pour jars of water on the wood and bull. He had them pour water on the wood 3 times plus he had a trench filled with water around the altar. Elijah then prayed to the Lord to show these people He was their Elohim and all powerful. The fire came and consumed the bull, the wood, the stones and all the water in the trench. Elijah had all the false prophets killed.
Elijah started and then ended the 3 1/2 year (Jesus was dead for 3 /12 days) drought by having his servant run to the top of Mount Carmel 7 times. The 7th time (another 7) the servant returned he reported a small cloud was rising over the sea. He told Ahab to go home quickly because it was going to rain and it did ending the drought. The 2 witnesses in Revelation have the same power for the same length of time, 3 1/2 years, and thus most believe that Elijah is one of the 2 witnesses.
Ahab wanted to buy a vineyard next to his palace but the owner, Naboth, refused to sell. Queen Jezebel decided to have the man killed by false claims against him. Naboth was stoned to death. They killed all of his kin so no one of his family was left to inherit the land. Jezebel took the vineyard on Naboth’s death to give to her husband, King Ahab. This story foretells the Spanish Inquisition that will occur centuries later.
Elohim told Elijah in 1 Kg 21:21-24 that all of King Ahab’s family would die and not inherit the Kingdom “…will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall” meaning all males. Elohim decreed that Jezebel would be eaten by dogs in the same spot as Naboth was stoned. Elijah told Ahab of this prophecy and Ahab repented. Jezebel did not repent and Jezebel was killed in 2 Kg 9:30-37 by dogs on the same spot Naboth was stoned. Only her skull, feet and palms were left to bury.
Jezebel pursued Elijah. Elijah was afraid of being persecuted by Jezebel and fled. Elohim provided for Elijah while he was in hiding.
He called fire from heaven to light the altar fire and so many people believe Elijah will be one of the 2 witnesses that come to earth during the Tribulation in Revelation or Daniel’s 70th week. Throughout the ages, Jewish people reserve a chair for Elijah during their Passover feast.
The NT speaks of him more times than any other OT prophet. He appears twice in the NT. In Mat 17, he appears at the transfiguration with Moses and Jesus. Many scholars believe he appears again in Rev 11 as one of the two witnesses. He performed 8 major miracles. He suspended the rain for 3 1/2 years in 1 Kgs 17. He confronted 450 false prophets and 400 idol priests on Mt Carmel in 1 Kgs 18. Elijah was transcended to heaven on a fiery chariot.
The outline of 2 Kings is in the following image provided by Chuck Missler’s course “Learn the Bible in 24 Hours”.
The Kingdoms of the North (Israel) and South (Judah) continued to decline. The North was conquered and absorbed first. The Assyrians took over their land.
The Northern Kingdom was Israel and the Southern Kingdom was named Judah. The Northern Kingdom had 19 kings over 250 years. They ended up in Assyrian Captivity. The Assyrians always split up their captives and absorbed them into their culture and their captives lost their original cultures. All marriages were with Assyrians.
The Southern Kingdom was Judah and lasted over 100 years longer than the Northern Kingdom. The kingdom was overcome by the Babylon General Nebuchadnezzar. While conducting the siege of Jerusalem, Nebuchadnezzar’s father died and Nebuchadnezzar became the Babylon King. The Jewish people were in captivity in Babylon for 70 years.
The King of Samaria, Ahaziah, was given a prophecy from Elijah that he would die on his bed. He was on his bed as he was sick. The king sent a commander and 50 men to seize Elijah and bring Elijah to the King. Elijah was found and Elijah killed all the men by bringing fire down from heaven. Another 50 were sent and Elijah killed all of these men the same way. A third group of 50 with a commander came and the commander pleaded with Elijah not to kill him and his 50 men. An angel spoke to Elijah and said to go with him and meet the king. Elijah did and the King died in his bed.
In Revelation, 2 witnesses are sent to earth with the ability to bring down fire from the heavens. There were only two men that demonstrated that power, Elijah and Moses. Since Elijah brought fire down to light the altar and now twice to kill the soldiers, many believe that the 2 witnesses are Elijah and Moses. Also the drought that Elijah caused lasted 3 1/2 years, the same as the first half of the 70th week (a week of years or 7 years) of Daniel’s prophecy. The first half of this 7 year period the witnesses are on earth and then translated in 3 1/2 years after being killed and their bodies lying on the streets for 3 1/2 days. This is the start of the Great Tribulation which lasts for 3 1/2 years (the last half of Daniel’s 70th week) and ends with the return of Jesus to the earth to reign for 1,000 years. The start of the Great Tribulation begins with the anti-christ (pseudo christ) declaring himself Elohim over all Elohims which includes Allah in the temple of the Lord in the Holy of Holies.
Many Christians debate if there is a rapture, they believe the Bible is all allegorical and not literal. They also believe that we are living in the 1,000 year millennium of Jesus' reign. Those who believe the Bible is literal, because over 70% of the prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled precisely with 30% of the prophecies yet to be fulfilled. Those that believe the Bible is literal or mostly literal believe a rapture occurs. Some believe the rapture occurs pre-tribulation, some mid-tribulation or a few post-tribulation. Many limit YHVH to only one rapture, disregarding prior raptures. The Bible clearly states that Enoch was raptured in Genesis 5:22 and again in Hebrews 11:5. Elijah was raptured by the Lord on the banks of the Jordan River near Jericho in 2 Kings 2:11. Satan and Michael fought over Moses' bones in Jude 1:9. Why? YHVH needed Moses's bones to raptured him from the dead. Moses appeared with Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration to talk with Jesus.[Mat 17:3]
Before being raptured, his servant Elisha asked for a double portion of the spirit on Elijah. Elohim granted him the double anointment. Then Elohim took Elijah to heaven in a chariot of fire in a whirlwind. Many scholars believe that Elijah will be one of the two witnesses mentioned in the book of Revelation. Elijah brought down fire from the heavens and caused a drought for 3 1/2 years which is the length of time the witnesses are on earth before the son of perdition kills them. The Jewish people always set a place for Elijah at the Passover dinner every year.
Elisha performed his first miracle by purifying the waters used by the people of Jericho. Then his second miracle was multiplying the oil for a widow of a prophet to sell to pay her debts and have enough to live. This miracle is a precursor to Jesus multiplying the bread and fish. He continued to perform miracles in Elohim’s name.
Elijah was the 2nd person raptured, the first being Enoch.
2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
The 2 verses, 2 Kings 2:23-24, perplexed me for a while. The verses relate that Elisha was walking to Beth-El, 42 children began mocking him. Elisha cursed them in Elohim’s name and 2 bears came out of the woods and killed the 42 children. I thought this to be strange for Elohim to grant a request to kill some children for only mocking a person, even though he was a prophet that just received a double blessing from Elohim. Also, these 2 verses are tucked in between 2 miracles. I believe now that this is a prophecy. Elisha represents Israel. Elohim puts a specific number in the Bible for a purpose.
Remember Pro 25:2 It is the glory of Elohim to conceal something, but the glory of kings to ask about it.
The 42 children represent 42 months, which is 3 1/2 years that represents the first half of the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy. The Hebrew script shows these bears to be she (female) bears. She-bears are very protective of their young, in this case Jewish people. The bears represent the two witnesses who are protecting Israel, the Jewish people, during the first half of Daniel’s 70th week which some people refer to as the “tribulation”. Jesus refers to the last half of Daniel’s 70th week as the “Great Tribulation”. These verses now make sense to me as the 2 witnesses are protecting the Jewish people during the first half of the 7 years of Daniel’s 70th week. The nations against Israel are not successful in physically hurting Israel; they only speak foul words or mock Israel.
Elisha counseled the King of Israel in his battles against the King of Syria. The King of Syria laid many ambushes for the King of Israel, but all failed. The King of Syria knew he had a spy in his command. One of his servants told the king that it was Elisha the prophet who was warning the king of Israel. The king of Syria sent his army to surround the city that Elisha was in at night and bring Elisha back to him.
2Ki 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
Elisha’s servant arose early the next day and saw the king’s army surrounding them. He woke Elisha in fear and asked what they should do. Elisha told his servant not to fear as His army was greater than the Syrians. Elisha asked Elohim to open his servant’s eyes to see Elohim’s army of angels surrounding the Syrian army. Elohim opened his eyes and the servant lost his fear. Then Elisha asked Elohim to blind the Syrian army, which He did. Elisha led the Syrians into the midst of the Israeli army and then had Elohim open their eyes. The Syrians surrendered and left, never to battle against the Israelis again.
Famine does strange things to people. This verse discusses buying an animal head, which contains the least amount of meat, for an amount that would have bought the entire animal or 2 animals. The 2nd item has multiple meanings. Eating birds dung is not very appealing. The underlining thought is the dove represents the Holy Spirit and has left the area.
2Ki 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass’s head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.
Another heart wrenching event in famine is cannibalism. Even worse, it is the woman’s child.
2Ki 6:29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
Since the USA has legalized abortion more than 57 million babies have been killed and their bodies sold to companies that put parts of the babies into many food s that we eat.
The 10 generations of Northern kings that followed continued from bad to worse. One of the kings, Joash, was only 7 years old when he was made king. They continued to worship idols until conquered by the Assyrians when Hoshea was King.
The Southern Kingdom did much better and survived 115 years longer than the Northern Kingdom. The Southern Kingdom had 8 more kings after the fall of the Northern Kingdom. Ahaz, a king of Judah, desecrated the temple Solomon built for the Lord by removing parts of it. King Hezekiah even stripped off the gold of the temple to pay the King of Assyria. Hezekiah did have some good qualities and the Lord was with him for several years.
Elohim told Hezekiah that He was saving Jerusalem because of His promise to David. Elohim sent an angel one night into the Assyrian army conducting war against Jerusalem and slew 185,000 soldiers that night [2Ki 19:35].
The remainder awoke in the morning and King Sennacherib fled with his army to Nineveh. The city of Nineveh turned to idols. Later Jonah would be instructed by Elohim to go there and ask them to repent. Jonah resisted Elohim’s command and ended up being swallowed by a whale before arriving in Nineveh.
Isaiah was the prophet for King Hezekiah. Hezekiah did listen to Isaiah and sometimes followed Elohim’s commands coming from Isaiah. Hezekiah became very sick and called for Isaiah. Isaiah told him he would die soon. Hezekiah repented and prayed to the Lord for more time on earth. Elohim granted him 15 more years of life. Hezekiah demanded a sign from Elohim. He requested Elohim to turn back the time 10 steps of the sundial, about 10 hours. Elohim did so. Hezekiah lived the 15 years worshipping Elohim. Isaiah prophesied that Babylon would take all of Hezekiah’s kingdom wealth to Babylon.
His son Manasseh became king for 55 years. He turned from Elohim and began sinning against Elohim. He sacrificed his son to a pagan idol named Molech. He committed a terrible sin of abomination by making and placing an idol of the Elohimdess Asherah in the temple David and Solomon built for our Elohim. He died and his son took over as king, but did not turn to Elohim. He died and his son became King Josiah. Josiah turned to Elohim and repaired Elohim’s temple. He killed all the false priests and destroyed their idols and altars where they had burned alive sons and daughters being sacrificed to Molech. King Josiah died in the valley of Megiddo, slain by the Pharaoh Necho of Egypt in battle. The valley of Megiddo was a valley where many great battles were fought. The last battle in the valley is in Revelation and the battle is called Armageddon.
His son took over as King Jehoiakim and did evil things. General Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon conquered Egypt and then Jerusalem, the Southern Kingdom, and made Jehoiakim his servant. He rebelled and died and his son took over as King. He rebelled and Nebuchadnezzar, now King of Babylon, was tired of the rebellions and took all the wealth of Jerusalem and burned the city. Almost all of the inhabitants were either killed or taken as slaves to Babylon. Daniel was one of the slaves taken to Babylon. Part of the wealth was the gold and silver goblets, trays and other items in the temple of the Lord built by Solomon. This ended the kings of Israel.
The epitaph of time of Judges and Kings is that most people who suddenly became a ruler, even though they knew Elohim had chosen them to rule, became full of self-pride and self-righteousness. After they became a ruler, Elohim was not needed and they failed miserably. Those that ruled and had a good heart and really loved Elohim, became prosperous and the people prospered too. The good kings and judges sometimes fell and repented and Elohim forgave. Elohim does use enemies of His people to do a correction, a cleansing and to bring them back to Him. This period of time continues to show the Jewish people loved and trusted Elohim and then turned away from Elohim and then returned to Elohim in a continuous cycle.
The genealogy from Adam to Noah to David and Solomon to Zedekiah was important to establish the bloodline of Jesus and all the 12 tribes so the descendants will know which tribe they belong to which is important in the end times when 12,000 from each tribe is Elohim’s elect during the Tribulation.
The death of Saul and David’s rise to be king and deeds during his reign are detailed. The term Issachar is defined as men who gained understanding of the times in relation to Elohim’s word. Certain biblical scholars today use that term to describe themselves versus other scholars that might be more interested in prophecy or other topics.
Elohim tells David that David will not build a temple for Elohim because he had been a man of war and shed blood. One of David’s sons will build His temple. Even though David was not allowed to build the temple, David acquired the land and much of the material that would be used to build the temple.
David listened to Satan one time and sinned in Elohim’s eye. Elohim corrected David by sending a disease upon David’s people. David was then instructed to buy the land for His temple and build an altar. David was instructed to buy a threshing floor for the temple and it was owned by Ornan. He offered to give the land to David but David insisted on paying for the land. David would not take the land or burnt offerings for free that he was giving the Lord.
David brought the tabernacle of the Lord that Moses made to the threshing floor and built an altar to Elohim. The altar was used to burn the animal sacrifices people offered to Elohim in compensation for their sins. All sacrifices were to be unblemished, just like Jesus was unblemished before His crucifixion.
The Levite tribe was the tribe of priests and had no region assigned to them but just an allotment within each tribe’s land. They were the only ones allowed to touch or carry the Ark of the Lord. David organizes the priests into 24 groups. They rotated priestly duties each week. On Elohim’s appointed days (called feasts or seasons), all of the priests performed their duties. This is the only time 24 is in the bible until we get to the book of Revelation and find 24 elders at the throne of Elohim.
Elohim did promise that David and his descendants would be King of Israel forever. Jesus was a descendant of David. David announced that Elohim had chosen Solomon to be the next King. David announced that he had provided for Solomon all the gold, silver, bronze, wood, iron, precious and semi-precious stones for building Elohim’s temple.
Solomon was made king and Israel prospered. David died at age 71.
We are to be like the Issachars. They understood the scriptures and how they apply to the current times.
1Ch 12:32 The tribe of Issachar supplied 200 leaders, along with all of their relatives under their command. They kept up-to-date in their understanding of the times and knew what Israel should do. [ISV]
This book could have a subtitle “ The Temple vs The Throne”. The outline of the book is:
Solomon’s 40 year reign in chapters 1 – 9. These chapters describe Solomon’s exhibiting the character of a king. He then built the Temple and had some very glorious years. Solomon’s decline is recorded in chapters 10-36. These chapters include the division of his kingdom and the 20 kings that ruled Judah and the finality of the Jews being conquered and taken as slaves to Babylon.
Solomon began his reign by offering Elohim 1,000 burnt offerings at Elohim’s altar before His tabernacle. Solomon asked for Elohim’s guidance. Elohim appeared to Solomon that night and asked Solomon what He should give him. Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge to rule and judge properly over Elohim’s people. Elohim was impressed that Solomon did not ask for personal wealth, glory, honor, death to his foes or long life. Elohim told him his wish was granted and Elohim was adding riches, possessions, honor and glory that no king before or after him would have as his equal.
Solomon began building Elohim’s temple on Mount Moriah. Today, this place is called the Temple Mount where the Muslims have built two temples. One is called the Dome of the Rock where Mohammad was said to ascend to heaven. The temple was finished according to Elohim’s specifications. King Solomon had a great celebration for the dedication of Elohim’s House. Solomon made burnt offerings to the Lord on the new altar and Elohim sent fire to consume the offerings and filled the Temple with His presence. While His presence was there, no one was able to enter the temple.
Elohim spoke to Solomon and told him that He would remain there forever unless his people turned away from Him. If they did, Elohim would cast the people of Israel out of His house and out of the land. Solomon reigned for 40 years before slept with his fathers (died). His son Rehoboam became King.
The temple remained until 70 A.D. when the Romans burned the city and inadvertently burned the temple with all the gold and silver on the floor and walls and various items. The gold and silver melted and ran into the cracks of the stones. The Romans removed all the stones to recover all the gold and silver.
Rehoboam listened to the Lord at first and then turned away from the Lord. Thereafter, a series of kings turned to the Lord and then away from the Lord. Some of the kings gave as bribes the silver and gold items from the temple to other kings. One king burned incense to an idol in Elohim’s House and immediately had leprosy.
King Jehoiakim was conquered by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar took the treasury of Jerusalem and many people of Jerusalem as servants, including Daniel. Babylon would have a large Jewish population for centuries thereafter.
The book ends years later with the capture of Babylon by the King of Persia, Cyrus. When Cyrus comes into Babylon as the conqueror, Daniel meets him and reads a letter from Isaiah 44 and 45 to Cyrus written centuries before. It says Cyrus will rebuild Jerusalem and Cyrus gives the orders to rebuild Jerusalem.
This book is in chronological order.
Notice the names in blue are prophets that Elohim has sent to advise the king. The names of the books of the Bible are in white at the bottom.
Ezra is thought to be the author of 1st and 2nd Chronicles along with Ezra and Nehemiah. Ezra was credited with establishing the “canon” books of the Bible. Out of the million Jews in captivity in Babylon, only 49,697 men accepted Cyrus’s 1st offer to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple in 536 B.C. Ezra returned to Jerusalem from Babylon 80 years later in 456 B.C. with 2,000 men plus families.
Jeremiah prophesied that Israelis would be taken captive for 70 years. Daniel realized that the 70 years was drawing near and began praying for the fulfillment of the prophecy. The prophecy was fulfilled in Daniel 5 when King Cyrus conquered Babylon without a battle on October 12, 539 B.C. Babylon was well defended with natural defenses and had a large moat surrounding the city that was fed by the river Euphrates. Cyrus came up with a plan to partially divert Euphrates that would drop the water in the moat to 2 feet. The people of Babylon did not notice the low water level nor the army that was marching across the moat. This event is very similar to Sardis, the church in Revelation. They thought they were safe and did not guard the cliffs that invaders/conquers used to gain access. Babylon was taken without “firing” the proverbial shot.
Isa 44:27 who says to the watery deep, ‘Be dry;-I will dry up your rivers’,
Daniel read this letter, prophecy from Isaiah, to Cyrus on entering the city of Babylon. Isaiah wrote this over 150 years ago. After the Babylonians surrendered, Daniel read to King Cyrus the prophecy from Isaiah 44 which was a letter addressed to Cyrus. Isaiah prophesied that Cyrus would release the Jews and help them rebuild their temple in Jerusalem. Cyrus was impressed and had all the gold and silver implements from the temple that were in Babylon given to the Jews to take back to Jerusalem. These items included the items desecrated by King Belshazzar of Babylon in the party he was giving to his staff the night Babylon was conquered. All these items were given to the rightful heir of King David, Zerubbabel.
Daniel had many titles with King of Babylon including Chief of the Magi. The Magi, from Babylon, would bring gifts to baby Jesus in Bethlehem 500 years later. Daniel had told them the signs to look for and follow when and where Jesus would be born and what gifts to take to him.
Isa 44:28 who says about Cyrus, He’s my shepherd, and he’ll carry out everything that I please: He’ll say of Jerusalem, Let it be rebuilt,” and of my Temple, “Let its foundations be laid again.
A cylinder was found and authenticated as coming from King Cyrus. It is in the British Museum in London.
Cyrus made a large offering to each of the Jews returning to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple and their houses. He gave them $22 million of gold and $32 million of silver plus mules and camels. He also gave them 100 priests’ robes. Cyrus’s decree did not fulfill or start Daniel’s 70 week prophecy as Cyrus did not order the walls and streets rebuilt.
The 50,000 male Jews plus families made the journey to Jerusalem and built the foundation for the Lord’s temple in 2 years. There were over 1 million males captured in Jerusalem, but only a small fraction of them returned. Elohim’s prophet Daniel and King Cyrus has died which allowed the political fighting to stop the building. Political problems forced them to stop building the temple for several years, until the 2nd year of Darius’s reign, King of Persia. It took the Jews 4 more years to complete the building of Elohim’s house. From the start of their journey from Babylon to Jerusalem to the completed temple was 23 years.
Ezra is decreed High Priest of Jerusalem in Babylon and traveled to Jerusalem to take his post along with 2,000 other male Jews plus their families that were living in Babylon and wanted to return to Jerusalem. On arrival, Ezra discovered many of Elohim’s laws were not being followed and he immediately corrected their worship and abeyance to Elohim’s laws.
Elohim had commanded His people to work and harvest the land for 6 years and let the land rest on the seventh. This period of 7 years is called a Shemitah in Hebrew or sometimes in prophecy a week, meaning a week of years. His people had not allowed the land to rest every shemitah so Elohim had the Babylonians take them captive for 70 years which would make up for the shemitahs they had not observed. The land rested for 70 years to fulfill the Shemitahs the Jews had not observed.
The book of Ezra started with the decree of Cyrus to return the Jews to Jerusalem, release all Jews from captivity and rebuild the temple with funding and give each that returned to Jerusalem a large sum of money. There are 3 decrees to rebuild Jerusalem prior to the Decree from Artaxerxes Longimus which do not include all the specifications Daniel prophesied to begin the 70 weeks. King Cyrus made the first decree and it was to rebuild just the temple.
The high priests did not acknowledge the birth of Christ and thus were astonished when their legal powers were taken away before the Messiah returned as written in the Talmud.
His book ends just before the Decree of Artaxerxes Longimus to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls and streets which Daniel’s 70 weeks (490 years) prophecy specifies that is the beginning of the 70 weeks [Dan 9:25]. The first 69 weeks ended with Jesus riding into Jerusalem and being proclaimed king, exactly 483 years later on the exact day of the prophecy. In the book of Daniel, I will show the exact calculations. Several times before this date, people would try to pronounce Jesus king but He would always state it was not yet time.
The last week (7 years) have not started but many believe we are in the last hour before it starts. During the book of Ezra, Haggai was the prophet and we will discuss his book later. The books in the Bible are not always in chronological order. The book of Nehemiah starts with Artaxerxes Longimus decree and Elohim’s prophet is Zechariah. The book of Zechariah will be discussed later. The book of Ester is chronologically in between Ezra and Nehemiah, yet it appears after Nehemiah.
Nehemiah starts in Babylon with Nehemiah asking King Artaxerxes Longimanus to travel to Jerusalem to help repair the city from the battles that had been fought and the gates to the city had been burned down and the walls were not intact to repel invaders. The king and queen decreed for him to go and gave him gifts of money and material to take with him to rebuild the gates, walls and streets. This is the decree that starts Daniel’s 70 week prophecy.
On arrival, Nehemiah organizes the work to repair the walls, streets and rebuild the gates. He works with Ezra, the High Priest to accomplish these goals. As Governor, Nehemiah enforces Elohim’s law and has Ezra write a covenant for all the people to sign agreeing to abide by Elohim’s law and recognizing that Elohim had driven them from their land because of their sinful nature and turning from Elohim and not repenting. The people signed the covenant.
An interesting point made was that non-Jewish people were coming into Jerusalem on the Sabbath to sell various items. Jews were forbidden to buy anything on the Sabbath. This was an event that Jesus found in the temple when He went there to worship. Jesus threw out all the vendors from the temple.
As discussed earlier, the book of Esther takes place in between Ezra and Nehemiah yet is after them in the Bible. I think that is because of the logical sequence of events that occur in the prior 2 books and makes the story of Israel as a nation, easier to follow.
The book of Esther is really a terrific drama of a person struggling within herself to find Elohim.
The book begins with King Xerxes having a grand party for all of his governors, chief officers of his armies, nobles, princes and courtiers. His kingdom was vast, stretching from India to Ethiopia in Africa. The location is named as Shushan, the capital of the Persian Empire. The name is interesting as we cannot all agree where it was located. Being the capital of such a vast empire, it should be easy to pinpoint its location, but it is a mystery. Many scholars debate the location. Perhaps it is Babylon and the name encoded comes out as Shushan. We know a similar situation with a similar name in Jeremiah 25:26 of Sheshach that was decoded in the ancient cryptology coding system of Atbash to actually mean Babel. Perhaps Shushan is coded also and perhaps means Babylon?? We know Jeremiah encoded Babel because he feared for Daniel's life since he knew Daniel was a slave/servant/student in Babylon at the time Jeremiah wrote his book. Using the Atbash coding system, the Hebrew alphabet is folded in half and so the first letter of the alphabet is written as the last, like replacing an "a" with a "z" in our alphabet. The city of Shushan is only mentioned 2 other places in the Bible, very unusual for a capital city.
The big story was King Xerxes wanted to show off his wife’s beauty to all at the party and Queen Vashti refused. He divorced her because of her refusal. Perhaps the request to his wife stipulated her dress or lack thereof to cause her to refuse his command. This event leads to Esther coming to the palace.
His staff began to search the kingdom for the most beautiful virgins to be the next queen. In the city a Jewish person lived in secret as a Jew. His name was Mordecai from the tribe of Benjamin who was the son of a captive taken from Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar. When Esther’s parents died, Mordecai’s brother, he raised Esther. She was a beautiful girl and was chosen to by Xerxes staff as a potential bride. She passed the first round of qualifications and was moved to the king’s palace to be pampered and made ready to be presented to the king. Her Uncle Mordecai cautioned her not to reveal she was Jewish and she agreed. For the next 12 months she prepared herself to meet the king. When the king saw her, he instantly fell in love and married her and Esther became the next queen.
Mordecai overheard a plot to kill the king. He told Esther and she told the king who quashed the plot. Mordecai was not rewarded for his alertness to report the plot at this time. His reward would come later.
The king promoted Haman to the second in command. He abused his power and sought all to bow down to him. Mordecai did not and Haman learned he was a Jew. Haman schemed and came up with a plan to turn the king against all Jewish people. The king commanded that all of his provinces kill all the Jews and take all their possessions. This was a precursor to the Spanish Inquisition.
Mordecai talked with Esther and made her aware of the king’s decree. Once a king made a decree, the decree could not be revoked. After fasting for 3 days she decided to approach the king, unbidden. If the king did not approve of her unbidden approach, she would be killed. So it she made a very difficult decision to approach the king at his throne.
We might find ourselves in the same situation in the future. Christians in Syria were lined up and given the option to renounce Christ and convert to Islam or be beheaded. One by one they refused and were beheaded. What would you do if you were the last in line and had seen all your friends beheaded for refusing to renounce Christ?
Esther prepares the feast and the king and Haman are well satisfied. Haman leaves feeling very important as only the king and he were at the feast prepared by Esther. So Haman plots Mordecai’s death.
The king orders the history of his kingship to be read to him as he can not sleep. He realizes that Mordecai has never been rewarded for his revealing of the lot to kill the king. He asks Haman the next morning in vague terms how the king should reward a loyal servant. Haman thinking it is he, tells the king he should be rewarded with much splendor and ritual. The king agrees and tells Haman it is Mordecai that is to be rewarded. Haman had ordered a gallows or crucifixion for Mordecai the night before. Now Haman is angry.
Esther tells her husband, the king, that she is a Jew and because of the king’s decree, she and her people will be killed. The king is angry at Haman and leaves the room to walk in the garden to think. Haman realizes the king is very angry at him and begs Queen Esther for mercy. He is on the sofa with Esther when the king returns to the room and thinks Haman is trying to seduce his wife. He immediately orders Haman hanged on the gallows that Haman had constructed for Mordecai. (The word used suggests it may mean crucifixion.) The king then orders all of Haman’s relatives killed. The king cannot retract a decree once it is issued. So the king writes another decree authorizing all Jews to fight back against the prior decree, effectively nullifying the previous decree.
Most of the names in the Bible are transliterated which means that the word we see in English is an approximation of the pronunciation of the Hebrew name. This leads to different scholars using different English names for the same person or city.
The other problem is that we lose the meaning of the name. Names of children were given by the meaning of the name that means something to the parents. If we look at the meaning of the sons of Haman, we can infer that Haman did not think his sons would achieve greatness.
The chart following lists the names of the 10 sons of Haman. The meaning of their names is horrible. The 2nd column is the Hebrew translation and the 3rd column is the meaning of the name.
The unpronounceable name of Elohim is YHVH or YHWH. Hebrew translation of the name allows either a V or a W. The Bible codes are interesting in authenticating this book. Jewish scholars pay reverence to YHVH’s written name by writing it YH_H or G_d.
Esther 1:20 Elohim uses the first letter of each word and He wrote it backwards because he was turning back the wisdom of man.
Esther 5:4 Elohim again uses the first letter of each word and wrote forward (Elohim was ruling and causing Esther to act).
Esther 5:13 and Esther 7:7 both used the last letter of each word (Elohim was turning back Haman’s counsel – so it was spelled backwards and Elohim was ruling and bring about the end He had determined – so it was spelled forwards).
Remember the Bible codes are useful to authenticate the message. They should not be used to predict the future as Elohim specifically forbids divination. We are to understand the future prophecies but not predict the day and hour that they will occur. The Bible codes being shown in Esther are interesting and have several of Elohim’s names hidden in the codes. The final Acrostic is in Esther 7:5 and spells “I AM”. Just to give you an idea how hard it is to write this type of code, create a word or short sentence. Then, use a ELS of 7 and write in the letters of your word or sentence. Then, fill in the blanks with letters that form words and a plausible sentence or in cryptology the result is called plain text. That is a challenge. Then, make it more challenging by insisting the plain text relates to your code word or sentence. At this point you will have a better feel for how intelligent Elohim is in creating these codes in the Bible.
The ELS’s can be found in Esther 1:3 (spells the name Messiah, interval of 8), Esther 4:7 (spells the name of Jesus, interval of 8) and Esther 4:2 (spells the name The Almighty, interval at 7).
Sometimes we can find some unusual things in the Bible codes. An old saying in the computer industry is that if you torture data long enough, it will yield whatever you want. The following is an example of why we should not use the Bible codes to attempt to predict the future as you read the following. I have a difficult time thinking Elohim would have encoded this discovered phrase, although He might have placed this code with purpose. After all, the statement does ring true.
I believe that “Without Him we can’t and Without us, He won’t.
The book of Esther is read each year by Jews on the feast of Purim.
Chuck Missler titled "Chuck Missler End Times Scenario (part 1/6)" . The 3rd commandment of YHVH (God) is Deu 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.[KJV] I grew up believing that it was about language or cursing using the Lord's name. Dr. Chuck Missler proposed a different meaning that I now embrace. I believe it means that if you say you are a Christian or believe in YHVH, then you should be a Christian or YHVH's child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This book is not to replace reading the bible. I will give references for you to gain more knowledge and proof of the validity of the Bible. I believe the original words written in the Bible are inerrant. I believe by having an idea of what chapter is going to say, you will be able to easily understand what you are reading in the bible. There are several broad descriptions of the Bible. Augustine discovered that the Old Testament contains the New Testament concealed, while the New Testament contains the Old Testament revealed. The Old Testament is the story of a nation. The New Testament is the story of a man. The Bible is unique in that it contains 8,362 predictive verses with 1,817 predictions concerning 737 separate matters. Our Messiah, Jesus, fulfilled over 300 predictions. Prophecies are important in proving the authenticity of the Bible along with the Bible's integrated design, which is proven mathematically, microcode and macrocodes.
