In the first story, "No Ma'am Here." Jackie is a newly discharged veteran searching to find herself, when she runs into John. After one look at Jackie, John immediately wants to know more about this woman. However, Jackie has no time or room for a male on this self-discovery journey. The next title within the book is, "The Battle at Home." Jacob is in the military and has been deployed overseas for an extended period of time. His wife Karen can no longer take the distance. Depression is crippling her and slowly destroying the world around her. Conflicts arise, divorce is the only option she can see, her kids are screaming with no console and Karen has met the final straw. Anxiety has turned into a numbing depression, no longer able to feel she sends her goodbyes to her husband. The third title in the book is, "Together We Rise." Jane Smith has just been medically evacuated from Afghanistan. Upon arriving at the hospital, she is all too familiar with being the minority in a world for men. All of them suffering from their own invisible wound. Jane must learn to overcome her pride and the female stigma within the military community in order to begin the healing process. "The Box" is the last title in the book. A box mysteriously appears on Dinah's crappy apartment stoop. Upon being transported through the box away from the hell which she currently resides. The new world is perfect, and everything she dreamed life could be. However, her lack of self-value has her debating her worth
