A most important aspect in the attempt to understand the basis of behavior and decision-making by individuals is to recognize the influences that are possible in the development of and action by individuals before and during their lifetime. For many years, the answers have come in bipolar terms. The focus upon heredity or environment has been in effect for centuries in common terms such as “apples don’t fall far from the tree” or “like father/mother, like son,” or in the later aspects of development in a certain environment of ongoing stages of life.

Most past work by interested academics has focused upon intellectual and academic performance. There has been less along the lines of examining the actual broader basis of influences on the process of decision-making. It becomes clear that the combination of innate qualities and personal experiences results in an ideological basis for decision-making, more so than an analysis of the factual basis for behavior, may be more important in the actual outcomes. In other words, where someone has come from and how he or she has been raised can have a profound impact on their decision-making abilities. More research into the basic aspects of decision-making is required in order to recognize the real basis of the eventual decisions.

Members of Obamaland may or may not recognize the very factual basis for the actions they promote, but the surface expressions of what seems reasonable to others is sufficient for them to be effective in achieving the goals they are supporting. It is those influences that are important to the modern trends in politics, which we will be exploring throughout the course of Obama’s tenure. Those generally viewing or reading can often be convinced by the validity of the information provided without digging more deeply into the real basis of the presented information, and are thus often regarded as fact and easily searchable.

The real outcome of the absence of future determination of behavioral basis may be the acceptance of Ideology rather than the rational basis for effective decisions. The ultimate outcome of which we may not currently be able to determine, but it has certainly resulted in the current proliferation of terrorism based on Sharia Law.

Chapter One

Genesis

August 4, 1961, in the Honolulu capital of the pleasant Hawaiian Islands, was marked by the birth of a new entrant to the world that undoubtedly was not considered important to the US or certainly even to the world in days to come. The parents were a white eighteen year old from Kansas and a black student visiting from Kenya. Ann Dunham and Barack Obama named the boy after the father with a middle name of Hussain. Both were enrolled in the University of Hawaii.

Father Barack Obama Sr. (June 18, 1936 – November 24, 1982) was still married to wife Kefia and had two children when he married Ann Dunham in 1961. Ann subsequently divorced him three years later when she discovered that he was already married. At that point, Obama Sr. went off to Harvard, received an MA in economics and returned to Kenya in 1964. He married Ruth Beatrice Baker and had two children before she divorced him in 1973. In Kenya, he worked for an oil company and the Ministry of Finance, but after a conflict with President Jomo Kenyatta, was fired and had difficulty getting another job. He had three serious auto accidents with the last one fatal in 1982.

Memories of Obama Sr. were recorded long after his death. There was wide agreement that he was a strong Muslim with ideas and activities that would be regarded as radical to the point he was unwelcome in official quarters in Kenya.

Mother Ann Dunham was born Stanley Ann Dunham, on November 29, 1942 (died November 7, 1995), in St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. She was the only child of Stanley and Madelyn Payne Dunham. When her father, Stanley, was in the US Army in World War II, the family moved to California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas before establishing a home in Mercer Island, Washington, a suburb of Seattle. Ann was enrolled in the Mercer Island High School, a “progressive” school with some teachers of leftist orientations who some neighbors called “Marxist”. Ann’s classmates indicated that she was ardent and hard working under her teachers and interacted very little with classmates in social events. Upon graduating from high school in 1960 the young Dunham moved with her family to Honolulu, where she enrolled in the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In college, she began using her middle name, Ann.

In Russian class, Ann met Barack Obama, from Kenya, who was the only black foreign student at the time. She married him on February 2, 1961, as she was three months pregnant. Barack Obama II was born August 4, 1961. At this time, Barack Obama Sr. decided to attend Harvard (September, 1961 – June, 1962). After only one semester at the University of Hawaii, Ann withdrew to take care of young Barack. Father Barack decided to accept a scholarship at Harvard to gain a Ph.D in Economics. He did not return to Hawaii and returned to Kenya to work in various governmental positions with his degree in Economics.

Ann divorced Barack Sr. in 1964 and married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian fellow student and popular fellow in Hawaii as Soetoro joined a western oil company in 1965, but divorced him in 1980. When Barack was ten, Ann sent him to Hawaii to stay with his grandparents. Ann returned to Indonesia to study cultural anthropology of Indonesia.

She finished her doctoral dissertation on peasant blacksmithing. In 1995, Ann complained of severe stomach aches and she was diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer. She passed away on November 7, 1995, in Honolulu, at age 52. Her ashes were cast into the Pacific.

Chapter Two

Development

Barack Obama Senior stayed with wife and son for two years after the boy was born and left for advanced work in Economics at Harvard. Undoubtedly, any interaction provided little deep influence at that young age.

At age six, Barack was taken by his mother to join her new husband Lolo Soetoro in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was enrolled in Santo Fransiskus Asisi, a Roman Catholic grade school, but moved into Besuki, a public school attended by mostly Muslims and home to a mosque, for one of the four years of his education in Jakarta, Indonesia. In school records, he was listed as a Muslim and was noted as the only black-faced child there and in the vicinity.

There is very little reported by mother or son as to any influence of the Jakarta experience, and official US government visits to Indonesia usually involve Besuki. One comment that is on record came as a reminiscence of those early years in an address in Cairo, which was the first such action overseas and somewhat significant as to a Muslim country. As reported by the New York Times on June 4, 2009, it received a wide audience:

I will try to do-to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart. Part of this conviction is rooted in my own experience. I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.

The presentation received criticism from some observers in the US as being an apology for bias against Muslims. It was a nice gesture of empathy and religious tolerance, but hardly a message befitting the leader of a secular democracy and world power.

When Barack was ten, he was sent to live with his grandparents in Hawaii as his mother, Ann, was busy acting in various areas working for Asian companies and gathering data for a doctoral dissertation. The grandparents enrolled their grandson in Punahou School in Honolulu, a private college preparatory school, where it turned out that he mixed well with the other students. He was active in sports and did well in classes.

At Christmas in 1972, Obama Sr. came for a few days to Hawaii but there is little information as to any interaction of value between father and son, who by this time was quite able to make his own decisions. Barack Jr. felt his father left paradise and “nothing my mother or grandparents told me could obviate that single unassailable fact … they couldn’t describe what it might have been like had he stayed.”

Of the many American dwellers in Hawaii, Frank Marshall Davis had the most constant close contact with the Obama family. Davis (31 December, 1905 – 26 July, 1987) was a Communist Party propagandist in Hawaii and Chicago. He had moved to Hawaii in 1940, where he was tracked by the FBI. “Frank” is mentioned throughout Obama’s book, “Dreams from My Father,”[_ _]but all references were eliminated in an audio developed in 2005. Although the extent of “Frank’s” influence on Obama’s ideologies may not be entirely evident, there was enough contact to leave a lasting impact on the young student’s mind.

Barack Obama graduated high school in 1979 with good grades and went to Los Angeles, where he entered Occidental College. While there, he learned of his father’s death in an auto accident. At the end of two years at Occidental, he moved to New York City and enrolled in Columbia University where he earned a BA in Political Science in 1983. In 1985, Barack moved to Chicago where he worked on the South Side as a community organizer for low-income residents. He was accepted to Harvard Law School for entry in 1988, although he wanted to visit Kenya beforehand to find out more about his father and other relatives. An extensive report of the trip to his father’s village of Alego, on the shore of Lake Victoria, is contained in “Dreams from My Father,” published in 1995, and later identified as “helping to unify [his] outward self with [his] inward self in an important way.”

After his first year at Harvard, he was selected as in intern in a leading law firm in Chicago. There he met Michelle Robinson, who had graduated in 1988 from Harvard Law School, and agreed eventually to date Barack, who was doing well in his studies and headed the Harvard Law Review. Graduation in 1991 came with the award of Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude and a return to Chicago in a position of civil rights lawyer at a top law firm. Michelle and Barack married on October 3, 1992, at the Trinity United Church of Christ.

In looking back at the extensive exposure to education and its results, Barack idolizes his mother’s attention and aid in the various elements in the process and identified her as:

The dominant figure in my formative years-the values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the work of politics.

That focus on political thought leads observers to the very significant basis for the decisions and actions that can arise in the following days.

Chapter Three

Politics

The first attempt by Barack Hussein Obama II to be active in community and political efforts was quite limited after Columbia and after entry into Harvard Law School. He was a community organizer for a church led organization, helping south side Chicago residents to cope with employment and housing discrimination. From this base, he expanded to a more significant action by organizing and administering a program that intended to increase action.

An active Barack said that he realized that he needed additional experience and decided he needed a law degree to achieve the aid and skills needed to be effective in the community. Enrollment in the Harvard Law School program was the step to be taken and he was admitted in 1988. As a summer intern in a leading Chicago law firm, he met Michelle Robinson, a Harvard law graduate, who was named his advisor. This began a four year ardent courtship that led to marriage in 1992.

In the 1992 election year, Barack directed the Illinois Project Vote, a drive that aimed to increase black turnout. This led to conviction that becoming a candidate for political office was the way to go. In 1996, a long time state senator in his district, Alice Palmer, decided to run for Congress and Obama decided to replace her. When her campaign faltered, she decided to run for re-election. Obama refused to withdraw and when Obama was able to keep Palmer’s name off the ballot, he won handily serving the 13th district until 2004. In 2000, he ran for the US House of Representatives against long-time incumbent Bobby Rush, a former Black Panther, but was unsuccessful in the Democratic primary. Barack regretted the attempt and called it an ill-considered race.

Undeterred, Obama began a campaign for the US Senate from Illinois in 2003. In the Democratic convention in 2004, he was invited to give the keynote speech.

In the run for Senate, he spoke against Bush’s actions to depose Saddam Hussein in Iraq. His active stance against the war supported by other democrats, notably Kerry, Clinton, and Edwards, put him in a favorable position with many who became tired of war in the Middle East. He then received the help of David Axelrod, a big time political consultant with influence from both white and black constituencies. Obama entered the race for US Senate against the incumbent Republican who eventually dropped out under unpleasant news surrounding his divorce. A black conservative, Alan Keyes, was the replacement, but Obama won the general election with one of the highest vote margins in Illinois elections history and was sworn in as a senator in 2005.

His victory and legislative efforts for the poor, elderly, and labor unions secured him the opportunity to deliver the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic Convention, where he supported John Kerry as the presidential candidate. All this encouraged Obama’s friends and neighbors to believe that their acolyte could really run for higher office under the major theme he addressed as a major civic opinion.

There’s not a liberal America and a Conservative America. There’s not a black America and a white America and a Latin America and an Asian America.

He underlined his speeches with optimism and hope, which he adopted from a phrase “the audacity of hope,” which he borrowed from the sermons of Reverend Jeremiah Wright. The Reverend was a pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ, with a large influential black congregation, where Obama was baptized as a Christian in 1988. He later described the conversion as:

I felt God’s spirit becoming me. I submitted myself to His will and dedicated myself to discovering His truth.

His success in the Senate and the wide appeal of his two books, “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Truth,” caused him to believe, as did his supporters, that he could, indeed, be a viable candidate for president. He sharpened his awareness of foreign relations by committee work and travel abroad. He was listed among the leading liberal members of the Senate much of his tenure.

On February 10, 2007, Obama announced his candidacy for the presidency. He did so from the Old State House in Springfield, Illinois where Abraham Lincoln gave his “House Divided” speech in 1858. From that point on, Obama and his advisors concentrated on amassing a large group of supporters, primarily through a focus on the internet, one approach that up until then was not widely used in campaigns. His rallying cry “CHANGE” received a great deal of attention and undoubtedly served to greater advance his candidacy, particularly among the many who had become tired of being mired in two wars abroad. (There is no specific knowledge that Obama and his advisors knew and adopted an earlier mantra used by Lewis in the Convenient Revolution in the mid 90’s: “All change is progress,” but it was very effective.) Additional support for the mantra came in his stance that stated:

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change we seek.

The use of the plural designation for activity may indicate the attempt to identify a broader aspect of the campaign.

According to the New York Times, another rallying cry that came into wide use was one that arose in a session in Greenwood, South Carolina. In the course of an address by a tired Obama, a little old lady jumped up and yelled “fire up!” and “ready to go!” The crowd joined in and it remained an important part of the subsequent content of the campaign.

While polls had Clinton ahead of all the candidates, the Obama team worked during 2007, amidst a crowded field of candidates, to face front-runner, Hillary Rodham Clinton. On October 21, 2007, Obama announced that Oprah Winfrey would be campaigning for him in the early primary states. The first appearance by Winfrey on December 8th in Iowa drew record crowds. A similar response in New Hampshire and South Carolina contributed to Clinton’s loss of the lead in caucus polls in Iowa. A victory by Obama in the Jewish Caucus plus a set of wins in January, “Super Tuesday” states, and among state and regional contests, it was estimated that Obama would have enough delegates to clinch the nomination. This prediction caused Clinton to withdraw from her campaign on June 7th and endorse Obama’s candidacy. The Democratic Party then nominated Obama as the party candidate on August 27th to run for the presidency.

Election Day, November 4, 2008, Obama got 52.9% of the popular vote to total 69,498,516 and 365 electoral votes (173 for McCain and Palin). The Electoral College met December 15, 2008, in a determination that Barack Hussein Obama was validly elected President of the United States and Joe Biden was elected his Vice President. Certification of the results was made by Congress on January 8, 2009. Obama delivered his victory speech in Grant Park to a crown of 240,000 where he echoed his call for change.

Chapter Four

First Term

20 January, 2009 – First Inauguration

Obama officially began his term as President of the United States at noon. Unfortunately, during the recitation of the oath, Chief Justice Roberts slipped up multiple times. There was some debate in the media as to whether the attempt on the 20th could really be considered valid, but legally speaking he was officially president.

20 September, 2009 – Relations With Russia and Putin

One of the first moves Obama made in foreign affairs was to cancel the construction of anti-missile interceptors scheduled for Poland and the Czech Republic, much to the delight of Russians. US President Obama evidently felt that his fine oratory skills would lull Putin as it had done with the US public. There has been no recognition that Putin views this as weakness and allows him wider action.

Similar reactions have come with the substantial entry of Russian troops (called “volunteers”) along with heavy military equipment into Ukrainian territory. The US aid to Ukrainian forces has consisted of blankets and ready-to-eat meals. Despite wide urges from military observers as well as wide support for efforts comparable to that utilized by the invaders so far (7 September, 2015), there have been no such moves by the White House.

There has been no serious response to the annexation of Crimea or any comment as to military moves by Russian aircraft near US shores and assets.

5 November, 2009 – Fort Hood Massacre

As a group of military and civilians were assembled in a facility to learn of their assignments, the door opened and an army major assigned to the group jumped on a table and yelled “Allahu Akbar,” then started randomly shooting at members of the group. He ended up killing 13 and injuring 30 before a security guard felled him with four shots as he staggered outside and fell. Some of the witnesses identified the shooter as Army Major Nidal Hasan, who had been functioning as a psychiatrist on the base.

Hasan had made it known that he did not want to be sent to the Middle East to fight against Muslims and his position was well known to his superiors. In addition, he had been in continued contact with Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen active in Islamic terrorism until being struck down by a drone.

The US Department of Defense and Israeli enforcement agencies classified the incident as work place violence, although the President and some military officials called this a terrorist attack. The situation was cleared up by the passage of the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, which extended the criteria for award of the Purple Heart medal “if an attack was inspired or motivated by foreign terrorist organizations.”

10 December, 2009 – Nobel Prize For Peace Awarded

President Obama was selected as the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize with mixed reactions from people around the world. The basis of the decision, made by a five person committee consisting of two Norwegian Labor Party officials, one from the left-wing Socialist Left Party, one from the Conservative Party of Norway, and one from the right-wing Progress Party, was "… not given […] for what may happen in the future. We are awarding Obama for what he has done in the past year. And we are hoping this may contribute a little bit for what he is trying to do," as stated by the committee head, Thorbjørn Jagland. Obama accepted the award, stating "Throughout history, the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it’s also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes." At home, 61% of respondents polled by USA Today / Gallup Poll, said that Obama did not deserve to win the prize. He was president for a mere nine months before being announced the unanimous winner of the Prize. Most notably among Obama’s cited accomplishments within that short timeframe were his foreign policy efforts. In fact, the committee was particularly drawn to the President’s Cairo speech about Islam, titled "A New Beginning," in June 2009.

1 May, 2012 – Osama Bin Laden Eliminated

On this evening, the US Navy Seal Team 6 attacked the residence of Bin Laden after an extensive series of preparations. Members of the team were prepared for combat from the large yard to the rooftop of the main building. The Bin Laden residence occupied the third floor requiring the Seals to reach it up a flight of stairs. Gunfire took place between the Seals and Bin Laden defenders including the family of the number 1 extremist. In an evaluation of the struggle, it was determined that the effective shots probably came from US Navy Seals. One drawback came when a helicopter crashed on the outer defense wall of the compound.

24 June, 2012 – Arab Spring and Morsi’s Rise to Power

In 1979, Mohamed Morsi joined the Muslim Brotherhood in Los Angeles, CA. After receiving a doctorate from the University of Southern California in 1982, he then received a position as an Assistant Professor at Cal State Northridge in 1985.

The presidential election subsequent to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak resulted in the election of Mohammed Morsi, the chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party, which was formed by the Muslim Brotherhood. Morsi became the first democratically elected Islamic president of Egypt, but with some uncertainty as to whether he would be able to hold office while the military moved to establish order by controlling efforts to form an Islamic legislature. Tens of thousands of the Brotherhood and their allies gathered in Tahrir Square joined by about 100,000 new arrivals along with fireworks and excitement.

Morsi announced his victory in Islamic terms, but acknowledged the substantial Coptic Christian minority, which was having some concerns about him. In a call to Morsi, President Obama offered congratulations and support:

We believe in the importance of the new Egyptian government upholding universal values, and respecting the rights of all Egyptian citizens, including women and religious minorities such as Coptic Christians.

19 July, 2012 – Hasan and Official Responses

There are reports that the FBI ignored Hasan and his radical statements and actions out of political correctness (CBS News). One official stated:

… the Washington agents thought that interviewing American Muslims who visit extremist websites was a sensitive issue and did not reach out to Hasan’s bosses at the Defense Department …

20 August, 2012 – Obama Red Line on Syria

President Barack Obama said Syria’s should heed US warnings not to use or move chemical or biological weapons and risk crossing a “red line,” which would change the US Administration’s “calculus” in the region. Syria has been in conflict since protests inspired by the “Arab Spring” began in March 2011 with the number of casualties increasing significantly daily. (CNN.com)

11-12 September, 2012 – Attack in Benghazi

An attack on the US consulate in Benghazi began at approximately 9PM with extensive fire power and entry by attackers on the grounds of the facility, designated as a Temporary Military Facility (TMF), and continued through the 12th. The attackers poured diesel fuel into the main building, which was ignited and provided choking smoke. A member of the Diplomatic Security Command Center tried to drag Sean Smith, the State Department Information Management Officer, and Ambassador Christopher Stephens out of danger by smashing the emergency exit window of the “safe room,” but lost contact with both. Unable to breathe, he climbed to the roof and joined officers of the CIA who came from building C, “The Annex,” who noticed an unmanned machine gun belonging to the departed Libyan military unit, who provided security for the TMF. Eventually, all US personnel were evacuated, but not without serious casualties. Ambassador Stephens and three other US officers (Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods) were victims. Months before the attack came, Ambassador Stephens had warned the State Department of the dangers involved and requested a strengthening of the facilities. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton refused to take any action. The administration, after a very short period called the basis for the attack a reaction to a video from California that had incited a large number of locals. The video was seen by few of the many individuals and the author was quickly arrested and incarcerated. Defenders of the TMF testified that the attacks showed coordinated attacks by individuals with military experience. The story that the video incited a huge group of disaffected locals was the mantra that was continued by the Obama Administration. That stand was delivered to the UN by Susan Rice, Ambassador to the UN, along with President Obama at any opportunity. Requests for air cover from Tripoli or the Air Force base in Italy were ignored.

5 November, 2012 – President’s Comment on Benghazi Attack

On the day before the presidential election CBS News released the elements of an interview with President Obama who said it was “too early to tell” whether the September 11 attack on the US consulate in Libya was an act of terrorism. In the interim it was pointed out by many that Obama kept referring to the event as a spontaneous protest as the result of an anti-Islam video and not terrorism.

6 November, 2012 – Re-election of Barack Obama

Obama defeated Mitt Romney by re-using the main constituency that led him to victory in 2008. Again his followers were very active in making sure that prospective voters were carried to the polling places. In the campaign, Obama moved from regarding himself as a hopeful uniter to a "determined fighter for the middle class interest." The 60% victory was greatly the winning of six or seven states. The three main conditions for a majority were:

  1. {color:#000;}The bailout of the auto industry, a significant part of the Ohio economy,

  1. {color:#000;}Support for illegal immigrants, and
  1. {color:#000;}His activity after hurricane Sandy (helped by the companionship of Chris Christie, a Romney supporter).

In a victory speech in Chicago he declared, “… and we know in our hearts that for this United States of America the best is yet to come.” (Washington Post; November 7, 2012). In the coming months the country waited for evidence of the validity of his prediction.

Chapter Five

Second Term

20 January, 2013 – Second Inauguration

Obama officially began his second term as President of the United States at noon. This time, he had a minor slip up as he paused at the end of the word “States,” not finishing the whole word. The media, once again, brought up concerns of the validity of his oath.

3 July, 2013 – The Fall of Egyptian President Morsi

As the new government proceeded to base all activity on Islamic grounds, the general economy of the country deteriorated along with a growth of discontent in the general population. To exacerbate matters more, on November 22, 2012, Morsi drafted a declaration that protected him from any legal challenges, and essentially “usurped all state powers and appointed himself Egypt’s new pharaoh,” according to Mohamed ElBaradei. There were massive protests and violent actions throughout Egypt.

The situation resulted in a greater number of citizens demanding a change by the military that had originally backed Morsi. By July 2013, a movement began within the army to demand that Morsi step down. An official ouster was made on July 3rd, to which millions of Egyptians celebrated throughout the country. At the news, President Obama issued a statement on the US position:

We are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsy and suspend the Egyptian constitution. I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsy and his supporters.

Widespread comment in Egypt included a belief that Obama really was part of the extremist movement of the Muslim Brotherhood.

15 August, 2013 – Federal Court Strikes down Oklahoma Law

The Oklahoma Chapter of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) welcomes a federal court ruling permanently striking down an Oklahoma state constitutional amendment that would have banned state courts from considering “Sharia law” (Islamic principles) and “international law.” This ruling came almost three years after the amendment was passed by Oklahoma voters and later ruled to be unconstitutional. (www.cairoklahoma.com)

A large misleading aspect of the decision is to link both factors — international law or treaties with a legal system that is antagonistic to the basic ethics and norms of the long-established constitutional process in US law or that of common and continental law of civilized countries of Europe and their derivatives. It indicates a lack of knowledge of what Sharia really is.

28 August, 2013 – Court Martial of Hasan

On the previous Wednesday, a panel of 13 officers handed down an unanimous verdict calling for a death penalty after a 22-day court martial with more than 100 witnesses and more than two hours of deliberation. Hassan was stripped of pay and other benefits.

7 January, 2014 – JV Team Description

In an interview with David Remnick, from The New Yorker, President Obama referred to the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria as a “JV Team” and that “we’re going to defeat them.” This was as ISIS was taking Fallujah in Anbar Province and Ramadi, the Provincial capital. ISIS’s spread in the Middle East and abroad would go largely unchecked as experts, and especially Obama, vastly under-estimated their strength and influence.

26-28 May, 2014 – Egyptian Presidential Election

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi was the Minister of Defense and Military Production, and head of the Egyptian Armed Forces under Morsi. He later played a leading role in the ouster of the former president. On March 26, 2014, Sisi resigned as interim head of state in order to be a candidate in the 2014 presidential election. Sisi was elected with 96% of the vote. The Muslim Brotherhood was not allowed to participate in the elections.

After Morsi’s ouster, the US condemned Sisi’s administration. The relationship between the two countries, under Sisi’s leadership, would continue to be strained. Joint military exercises were cancelled, and the sale of weapons systems were halted. In particular, the Obama administration was critical of Sisi’s handling of Islamist protesters. All the while, Egypt’s relations with Russia have been improving, and become quite amicable.

31 May, 2014 – Bergdahl Parents at White House

Upon the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from Taliban control in exchange for five major leaders of that organization held in Guantanamo Bay facilities the Bergdahl parents were invited for a television interview in the White House rose garden. Father Bob Bergdahl appeared with the large beard worn by Islamic militants with a short comment, “I’d like to say to Bowe right now, who is having trouble speaking English – I’m your father, Bowe (in Pashto).”

On June 1, 2014, in a subsequent statement Bergdahl recited “Bismallah ir Rahman ir Rahm,” which translates as “In the name of Allah most gracious and compassionate.” The President then hugged him.

This event was having a background of discontent among those who were close to the action following the disappearance of Sgt. Bergdahl. A majority of his fellow fighters identified him openly as a deserter. More critically they pointed to the death of six of their comrades in the search for the missing Bowe. This event came as the home town of Hailey, Idaho was planning for a huge welcome ceremony for Bowe. The prospective festivities were abruptly cancelled.

14 August, 2014 – Allen West Report

Former Florida congressman Lt. Col. Allen West recalled that two years ago author Ed Klein, in an interview with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright that Barack Obama was steeped in Islam and that he knew little about Christianity.

When I asked the Reverend about this whole question of Islam and Christianity, he said well you know, Barack Obama was steeped in Islam. He knew a lot about Islam from his childhood. But he knew very little about Christianity. And I made it easy for him to not feel guilty about learning about Christianity without turning his back on his Islamic friends.

This statement comes with a set of references about two decades he spent in one of Wright’s pews.

26 September, 2014 – Vaughn Foods Plant Beheading

At the Vaughn Foods plant in Moore, Oklahoma, a woman worker was beheaded on the spot by Alton Nolan, an Islamic convert who took the name of Jakeem Ysrael. He then attempted to behead another woman and almost succeeded before being shot by the owner/manager. Despite much evidence of the Islamic impetus for the attack, it was labelled as usual workplace violence by authorities, and not a terrorist attack.

9 October, 2014 – Letter to Pope

Fort Hood shooter, Maj. Nidal Hassan, wrote a letter to Pope Francis advocating jihad (Fox News), stating “a warning to Pope Francis, Members of the Vatican, and other Religious Leaders Around the World.” In it, he describes himself as an “SOA,” or “Soldier of Allah”. He was not convicted of terrorism, but rather of “workplace violence.”

1 January, 2015 – Message from President el-Sisi

On New Year’s Day, President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi addressed a gathering of the major Muslim clerics of Egypt in strong terms with a concentration on action with respect to a rise in terrorism:

It’s conceivable that the thinking we hold more sacred … should cause the entire Umma (Islamic world) to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible that this thinking and I am not saying religion – I am saying this thinking.

This stand, one that can be considered a major move against terrorism supported by elements of the Muslim community and society is strong and puts el-Sisi in some danger. There was no significant response from the White House and little reporting from major media.

7 January, 2015 – Attack on Charlie Hebdo

At 11:30AM, two gunmen burst into #6 Rue Nicolas-Appert, believing it was the office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo which for several years had published unflattering stories and caricatures of Mohammed (and other religious organizations and members). The two gunmen moved to #10 of the street and upon entering forced a returning staff member to enter the code to the second floor offices of the magazine. There they shot the police guard and killed Stephane Charbonnier, the editor-in-chief, and called four cartoonists by name before killing them, three other staff members, and a guest. The gunmen shouted “Allahu Akbar” and reportedly said: “we have avenged the prophet Mohammed.” In an escape from arriving police, they were able to take off under crossfire, and in the process killed a policeman and a woman officer.

The gunmen were identified as brothers Said and Chérif Kouachi. Chérif was known as a convicted Islamist jailed in 2008. When they were spotted in a forested area northeast of Paris, extensive police search parties combed the general area. When the gunmen decided to return in the direction of Paris, they hid in a warehouse on the way. In a short time, they emerged firing at the assembled police officers and were cut down.

The events aroused the population of Paris and France to an extent seldom seen in the country, with similar strength of feeling present in other neighboring and far removed entities. Paris was filled with chanting and posters stating “je suis Charlie Hebdo” with the city filled with lights emphasizing the messages. A short statement from the White House indicated that this was a “cowardly evil attack and … senseless violence of the few.”

9 January, 2015 – Kosher Mart Attack

A hostage crisis in Paris, France at a Hyper Cacher kosher market started when Amedy Coulibaly attacked and killed four Jewish hostages while demanding that his friends, the Kouachi brothers, not be harmed. This was concurrent with the police catching up with the Charlie Hebdo murders and killing them in a firefight. Coulibaly indicated he was affiliated with ISIS in his actions. The incident ended when police stormed the market and killed Coulibaly.

The incident was covered by CNN and reported that President Obama had large concern about “a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris.” This comment omitted any reference to the anti-semitic nature of the attack, a factor widely stated in Europe and widely through countries and media around the globe.

11 January, 2015 – Unity March

Marchers estimated as one million, a number representing probably more than any other event in France, lined up behind about 40 outstanding foreign leaders in the Place de la Republic. Millions more in many other French cities joined in the demonstrations to commemorate the sad Charlie Hebdo attack and the Hyper Cacher killings. Hand in hand leading the march were leaders of several countries such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the European Council President Donald Tusk joining the President of France, François Hollande.

Much criticism arose from the fact that President Obama was cool to the demonstration and did not attend or send a representative. Ironically, Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris at the time attending a terrorist conference, but immediately departed for home.

8 February, 2015 – National Prayer Breakfast at the White House

The office of the President’s Press Secretary issued an extensive report of the President’s address that centered on one aspect:

… lest we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.

Other faiths were mentioned by name only without the deep demeaning references devoted to Christ and Christians. There was no reference to atrocities to which the Christian countries had to react to an influx of Muslims perpetrating acts like those of ISIS today. There was no reference to the mandates of Mohammed in comparison.

11 February, 2015 – Clinton on the Increase in Muslim Immigration

According to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton promises to raise the number of Muslims admitted to 10,000 in 2015, despite a year over year growth of 200% from 2012 to 2015. Christian refugees and other non-Muslims are not included in this mandate.

16 February, 2015 – Beheadings

A White House reaction to the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians on a Libyan beach by those identified as ISIL activists was curt:

The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptians in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Egyptian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens. ISIL’s barbarity knows no bounds. It is unconstrained by faith, sect or ethnicity…

Absent from the press release was the identifying term “Coptic, Christian, Muslim or Islam” while widespread references to the event identified the killings as the “basis of Islamist action against the faith of the victims.”

Obama went golfing.

17 February, 2015 – Countering Violent Extremism

A three-day summit “Countering Violent Extremism” begins in Washington, DC. Discussion of Islamic Terrorism is not to be part of the agenda under rules for the organizers provided by the White House. Newsmen and photographers were barred and all discussions were to be secret. The only information given was that attendees were Muslim leaders, not identified by name, who are protectors of Sharia law.

10 March, 2015 – Hillary Clinton at the UN

After information developed regarding the destruction of many emails by Hillary Clinton, she was asked to appear at the UN and “fumbled her way through the awkward press conference” (Time; March 23, 2015). A basic point was that she decided to ignore White House guidelines and conduct government business through a private email account on her personal server. The decision to erase some 30,000 emails from that private server were hardly “private, personal emails” and bless her for following the rules (her rules) to erase the emails.

The set of events represent continuing frustrated efforts by Congress to get many questions answered surrounding the attack on the Benghazi consulate on September 11, 2012.

18 March, 2015 – Russian Annexation of Crimea

For much of February 2015, thousands of Russian soldiers were quietly sent to bases in Crimea that Russia was permitted to own and use by treaty along with civilian “volunteers”. The entering Russians so swiftly accomplished the annexation that the outside world had not realized what had happened. It was called the “smoothest invasion of modern times” (BBC News; March 19, 2015).

The White House responded by saying the Russian military intervention would be a "grave mistake." A senior US official indicated that the US considered pulling out of the G8 Summit scheduled for a meeting in Russia. If so, a boycott would be a major blow to Putin (The Guardian; February 28, 2015). The occupation of Crimea, despite negative reaction abroad, gave Putin a high approval rating of 80% among Russians, who were overjoyed by what was considered a move back to the imperial days of royal regimes and military moves of the USSR. By late summer, those approval ratings declined as economic recession set in (Time; October 26, 2015).

25 March, 2015 – Bergdahl Charged

Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was charged by the Army with desertion and “misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command unit in place.” Bergdahl was also charged with desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty. The desertion can carry imprisonment for five years while the charge of misbehavior before the enemy that endangered his fellow soldiers has a possible life imprisonment. Both call for a dishonorable discharge.

Jen Psaki, the incoming White House Communications Director, defended the decision to trade Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban leaders in 2014, even as there was widespread criticism of the swap:

Was it worth it? Absolutely. We have a commitment to our men and women serving in the military defending our national security every day, that we’re going to do everything to bring them home if we can, and that’s what we did in this case.

Other administration officials including Susan Rice, who originally cited Bergdahl for service “with honor and distinction” remained silent.

The action of the Department of Defense in continuing the process, despite some higher hopes of waiving the process, is some relief to the members of Bergdahl’s unit who were convinced that Bergdahl was a deserter and came under attack by the Administration as being untruthful or misinformed.

7 April, 2015 – Prayer Breakfast

In a message to select Christians assembled, the President espoused a wide variety of Christian concepts. A central segment included “urging others to find strength in our common humanity and acknowledging we are all children of God.” Obama signaled his own prayer to “live more like Jesus lived” (Christian Post).

The Obama position on the Crusades is another example of altering history to fit his ideology. It should be noted that the Middle East territory now claimed by Muslims was the birthplace of Christianity centuries before Mohammed appeared on earth. There is plenty of evidence of an advanced society in the ancient ruins and other artifacts.

The Crusades, from the first to the fifth, were attempts to return the captured territory to their original owners and maintain free access to the territory for Christian pilgrims to the land of Jesus.

30 May, 2015 – Final Days of Negotiation Set

A brief historical summary of Iran’s attempts to establish nuclear capabilities (more can be read at www.armscontrol.org):

Iran has been engaged in efforts to acquire the capability to build nuclear weapons for more than two decades. Although it remained uncertain whether Tehran would have made the final decision to build nuclear weapons, it had developed a range of technologies, including uranium enrichment, warhead design, and delivery systems, that would give it this option in a relatively short time frame. Tehran maintains that its nuclear activities are entirely peaceful.

Various states have made efforts over the years to negotiate a settlement with Iran that limits its nuclear program. The deal process was very drawn out, and the “final” days of negotiation turned out to be the base for the kind of extensions common to the long prior meetings. It was reported in the media numerous times that deadlines were likely going to be missed.

26 June, 2015 – Obama Disputes Basis of Ideology

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune early in his political career, Obama felt the focus of nature and nurture missed the mark:

I had to make a name for myself, but having made that name, people take me at face value and don’t hoist onto me a set of expectations or understandings based on something my parents did.

This response reinforces the continuing widespread belief in the real development of his ideology, not from his upbringing, but from something else; crafted to fit a narrative all his own and to fit the emotional and political tides of the day.

14 July, 2015 – Agreement Announced

The agreement was met with celebrations in Iran and supporting Muslim constituencies. Despite much concern and criticism by groups in the US, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton also celebrated along with many supporters. Great joy was expressed elsewhere. Russia expected to be able to sell weapons to Iran, China wanted Iranian oil, and entrepreneurs all over were eager to make a profit from trade.

The Obama administration would send the deal and other documents to Congress on July 19th, which would begin the sixty day review deadline for them to accept or reject the deal in its entirety.

On July 20th, the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution supporting the deal and lifting sanctions on Iran.

16 July, 2015 – Shooting in Chattanooga

In the morning, a shooter appeared at two small military offices situated in public facilities readily available for entry. A man pulled up to the Army recruiting office and began shooting through the window from his car in the parking lot, and then went on a 15 minute drive to the Naval facility and killed four Marines and wounded three others. The shooter, Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, was pursued by police and cut down in the nearby woods. Abdulazeez was a Kuwaiti-born 23 year old who had received a Master’s degree in engineering at Chattanooga State University. President Obama said he would try to find out the circumstances. The four Marines killed were Garson Holmquist, Thomas Sullivan, Squire K. “Skip” Wells and David Wyatt, who were trying to protect their comrades. The entire incident was labelled as “domestic terrorism”.

Another victim of the shooting in Chattanooga, Randall Smith, a Navy Petty Officer, dies in the hospital on July 17th.

17 July, 2015 – Exploding Muslim Immigration and the FBI

According to census figures, the immigration of Muslims has reached such high levels that the FBI has been overwhelmed by the numbers to the point that makes it difficult to assess. The huge increase in Muslim immigration in recent years has the FBI concerned about the entry of 100,000 Muslims yearly, as planned for 2017. It is the fastest growing segment of immigrants coming to the US. Some of questionable backgrounds may enter with little checking. It is easier for Muslim immigrants to get asylum over Christians and it has been that way for a number of years. “Only Muslims need apply,” states former US Representative Frank Wolf of Virginia ®, now the head of the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative.

21 July, 2015 – Change in US Oath of Allegiance

The US citizenship and Immigration service has “modified” the existing basic oath of allegiance for applicants for US citizenship.

The recent change in the oath of allegiance for candidates for citizenship applies in practice to Muslims and, in reality, to no other followers of religious practices. The provisions of Sharia make the practice of it not only a religious, but also a political duty to follow the basic mandates of Mohammed to conquer the world, convert all to Islam or their death if they refuse. In a similar way, any adherent who leaves Sharia is subject to punishment including death by any other adherent of Sharia. Obama ignores the fact that Sharia is not only a religious force with questionable adherence to basic civil ethics, but a political movement as well.

Does all of this from Sharia mean that adherence cannot oppose by arms the possible action by Muslim invaders?

1 August, 2015 – Christian Refugees Imprisoned

As of this date, a group of Christian refugees have been imprisoned by the INS for more than six months, even though they have relatives and job offers in the United States (CBN News; August 8, 2015).

17 September, 2015 – Trump Speech Interruption

In the midst of the address a loud voice from the audience referred to Obama as a Muslim. The response from Trump was general and non-committal. On the next day, Hillary Clinton criticized Trump for not correcting the outburst.

20 September, 2015 – Kerry Prediction of Migrant Numbers

Secretary of State John Kerry has published a listing of projected admissions to the US in coming years. These are identified as “refugees” in numbers predicted to be 10,000 in the present year, plus 8,500 in 2016 and 100,000 in 2017. This is in addition to the number previously accepted which has been 69,986 in 2014 (Time; October 5, 2014).

If previous practices are followed, virtually all will be Muslim activists or supporters of Sharia. No actual victims of Christian or non-Muslim followers will be part of the large numbers of entrants.

30 September, 2015 – Russian Troops Enter Syria

Fifteen hundred (1,500) Russian infantrymen, along with Iranian and Hezbollah fighters in like numbers, occupied the Syrian army base Al Sanobar while a contingent of jet fighters took over an airfield in Latakia. On October 14th, Cuban troops joined those already there. This came right after a speech by President Putin at the UN General Assembly where he suggested that an international coalition would help the Syrian forces defeat ISIS. At a meeting with President Obama soon after, Putin suggested a coalition of Russian and US airpower supporting Syrian ground forces. Obama maintained the position that Assad must go. The Russian gestures also had the aim of having the combination of air force activity to remove sanctions earlier imposed on Russia. Up to this point, Russian air action claiming to be on terrorists was not against ISIS, but upon moderate rebel forces supported by the US that Syrian officials labelled “terrorists”. As to the reason for the entry of Russian forces, Andrei Klimov, Deputy Chairman of Foreign Affairs in the Russian Upper House, stated that there was “no concern with this citizen with the name of Assad,” but the aim was to “convince the West that it cannot defeat ISIS without Russia’s help. Unfortunately these sanctions that the West introduced against Russia are getting in the way.”

Asking for cooperation from the West continued as on October 7th Putin instructed the military to maintain contact with the US and allies “because without their participation … it is of course doubtful that we will be able to properly organize this work” (Time; October 26, 2015). This comment was published on the Kremlin website on the same day the proxy and Russian fighters in occupied Eastern Ukraine were moving heavy military equipment back into Russia.

10 October, 2015 – Bergdahl Hearing

Lt. Colonel Mark Visger recommended that Bergdahl’s case should proceed to a special lower level court martial which has a maximum penalty of a year in prison without a punitive discharge and confinement would be appropriate. This is equivalent to a misdemeanor in the civilian legal system. Under a general court martial, Bergdahl could face a life sentence for misbehavior before the enemy and five years in jail for desertion. A four star general will review the suggestion and decide the case.

The decision in the October 10th Bergdahl hearing raises some questions. Was there any influence for the special court martial relating to the opportunities for promotion of the hearing officer? In addition, the lower penalty could minimize the effect of the release of five high level Islamic terrorist activists by the administration.

2 December, 2015 – Massacre in San Bernardino, California

Late in the morning, two gunners entered the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino where a large group of county health employees had assembled and randomly shot with assault weapons, killing 14 and wounding 21. The two were traced to a home in Redlands, California, and were killed in an exchange of gunfire. An arsenal of 4,500 rounds was found in the home.

3 December, 2015 – Identification of the Assassins

The identification of the perpetrators in the San Bernardino shooting were Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, wife of Farook. Farook was born in America and Malik was a permanent resident. Farook was attending a work event that day before departing abruptly and returning with his wife to commit the massacre.

4 December, 2015 – Determined Cause of San Bernardino Massacre

The massacre was announced as being an act of terrorism, and President Obama added that he was leaning toward that conclusion, but made no specific statement as to the source of the terrorism. In addition, there was a statement as to the strong need for gun control.

Also determined was that Tashfeen Malik sent a Facebook post to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, an ISIS leader, proclaiming her allegiance to ISIS before the massacre.

Both Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik had been recognized as exchanging communications supporting jihad activities. Farook was a US citizen of Palestinian descent and worked for four years as a safety examiner with no apparent difficulty. Malik entered the country under a fiancée visa with little difficulty because of a visa application that did not uncover consistent activity in Islamic extremist activities.

The police tracked the extremists to their home in Redlands, CA, by checking information on a rented SUV. An exchange of fire killed the two extremists, and police located a large supply of military items and explosives.

President Obama referred to the action as “extremism,” but did not identify the source more clearly. At least it was more than earlier avoidance of the term and identifying it as “workplace violence”.

Enrique Marquez, a friend and one time neighbor of Farook, would later be arrested on December 17, 2015, and charged with three counts of conspiring to provide material support of terrorism on the basis of purchasing two rifles used in the attack and other guns for Farook, making false statements in connection with the acquisition of the firearms, and conducting immigration fraud.

6 December, 2015 – President Address on Terrorism

President Obama, in only the third of such addresses, announced that terrorism is indeed a matter to be addressed, but did not specify the source. He maintained that extensive activity will continue although the message contained nothing new beyond what had been done to date. A new step was the need for Muslims to take part in determining and identifying those likely to engage in terrorism, and a suggestion that Muslims were reluctant to participate in the disclosure of the likely participants as terrorists.

3 February, 2016 – Obama Visits Mosque

In his first entry to a mosque as president, Obama participated in activities at the Islamic Society of Baltimore, a well-known mosque in Baltimore, MD. The visit caused little concern around the visit itself, except that it was a mosque with indications that the Mullah and members of the congregation has had ties with radical Muslims. Obama proceeded to deliver a speech about the positive aspects of the Islamic faith and the history of Muslims in America:

This mosque, like so many in our country, is an all-American story. You’ve been part of this city for nearly half a century. … Islam has always been part of America.

His blind acceptance of all people of Islamic faith cannot go hand-in-hand with rooting out and eliminating extremist threats to the US.

[_ For more than a thousand years, people have been drawn to Islam’s message of peace.  And the very word itself, Islam, comes from salam -- peace. _]

He also ignores the fact that Sharia law is one of the tentpoles of Islamic tradition, and it directly contradicts the laws established in America. So while there are plenty of Americans that shape the nation as Muslims, there are plenty who would rather have a separate class of standards to govern them.

So, while it may be easy for Obama to claim:

[_ It’s a challenge to our values -- and that means we have much work to do.  We’ve got to tackle this head on. We have to be honest and clear about it. And we have to speak out. This is a moment when, as Americans, we have to truly listen to each other and learn from each other. And I believe it has to begin with a common understanding of some basic facts. _]

It’s equally hypocritical because it ignores the extremists’ point of view. They follow the same faith, but have a different interpretation of its decrees than the peaceful followers of Islam.

Groups like ISIL are desperate for legitimacy. They try to portray themselves as religious leaders and holy warriors who speak for Islam. I refuse to give them legitimacy. We must never give them that legitimacy. They’re not defending Islam. They’re not defending Muslims.

This may be fine political rhetoric, but by ignoring ISIL as a representation of its faith is not denying them anything or refusing to “legitimize” them; it’s blatant ignorance. It redirects people from having a legitimate discussion about the true teachings of the Islamic faith, and whether they are rationally a threat to peace.

18 February, 2016 – United States Supreme Court Justice Scalia Dies

Antonin Scalia (March 11, 1936 – February 13, 2016) was appointed to the United Sates Supreme Court by President Ronald Reagan after serving on the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit by nomination of President Richard Nixon. He was the first jurist of Italian descent to be named to the Supreme Court. The thirty years on the Supreme Court benchmarked (1986 – 2016) the longest service in that position, during which time he enjoyed a wide reputation as an outstanding legal scholar. He was a graduate of Georgetown and Harvard law and previously had a long career in the legal system. Scalia was a devout Catholic, and in 1960, married Maureen McCarthy. H had nine children and thirty-six grand children.

In addition to being widely considered as one of the most outstanding jurists in the nation’s history, virtually everyone who has met him has said that he was one of the friendliest they have met, with a hearty sense of humor, much of which was displayed in his opinions, especially his dissents. Scalia was a textualist in interpreting the Constitution, meaning that the Constitution must be considered as originally written by the founding fathers, and not varied according to the liberal members of the court, who decided on the variations they developed with their own interpretations, or on the legislative changes in laws of the liberal social trends developing in recent social media.

The unexpected death of Associate Justice Scalia has aroused a host of opinion as to cause of death from murder to natural causes. Because of the distance from El Paso there was no autopsy and the family did not object as they had been aware of some cardiological problems.

More controversy has erupted on the replacement of Scalia. His death leaves a 4-4 tie between liberals and conservatives on the Supreme Court. Democrats want immediate action under a roster of candidates selected by Obama. Republicans are voting to wait until candidates are presented by the upcoming president.

18 February, 2016 – Scalia Casket at Supreme Court

With many thousands lined up in the cold to enter to pay their respects to one of the greatest jurists in US history, President and Mrs. Obama stood before the casket for one minute before moving.

19 February, 2016 – Funeral of Justice Scalia

The funeral was held in the basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. President Obama has received much criticism for not attending the funeral as most of the presidents in the past have attended the funerals of justices who have died during the presidents’ terms.

8 March, 2016 – No White House Concern Over Genocide

Continuing absence of White House concern over continuing wide killing of Christians by Muslims and identification of the action as genocide has come to a head by a widening renege of US citizens recognizing the situation as it exists. Obama acolytes like John Kerry continue to declare that much legal deliberation must occur before a declaration of genocide can be made.

The refusal of Obamaland to identify the widespread killing of Christians as genocide is a continuing example of the White House ignoring or mislabeling the actions of Muslims as “disagreements among neighbors” or “workplace violence”.

The same ignorance or deliberate avoidance of identification of cause and effect has not been formally addressed for at least a century. The killing of over a million Armenians, early Christians in the Mideast by Muslims before and after World War I is not a topic the Obama administration is willing to address. In the 2012 election, Kim Kardashian had promised to vote for Obama if he would acknowledge the harsh treatment of Christian Armenians by Muslims. Nothing changed.

11 March, 2016 – Bill Ayers on Attempts to Keep Trump Quiet

“We shut Trump down,” admitted former Weather Underground terrorist and Obama mentor, Bill Ayers, on anti-Trump protesters. The successful move to deprive Donald Trump supporters of their First Amendment rights indicates that the leftists in the US permit opinions only if they agree with them.

Bernardine Dohrn (née Ohrnstein; born January 12, 1942) was active in the leadership of the Weather Underground and was considered the figurehead of it. In the 1970s, she was on the FBI Most Wanted List.

Indicted for bombing the Park Police headquarters in Chicago as well as the US Capitol and the Pentagon. Released when the court found that the FBI men who arrested her were charged with conspiring to violate the civil rights of members of Weather Underground. She married Bill Ayers, co-founder of Weather Underground, in 1982.

Dohrn was an associate professor of the University Children and Justice Center from 1991 to 2013, and Clinical Associate at the Northwestern University School of Law.

FBI officials Mark Felt and Edward Miller were indicted and convicted in November 1980 of conspiring to violate the civil rights of relatives of Weather Underground. On April 15, 1981, President Ronald Reagan granted full and unconditional pardons to both, saying:

Felt and Miller followed procedure they believed essential to keep the Director of the FBI, the Attorney General, and the President of the United States advised of the activities of hostile foreign powers and their collaborators in this country.

William Charles “Bill” Ayers, born December 26, 1944, in Glen Park, Illinois, is known as the Founder of the international terror organization Weather Underground Organization, or WUO. As a professor at the University of Illinois he was a good friend of Barack Obama.

In 1968, Ayers became the leader of Students for a Democratic Society. A bomb placed on the window sill of the Park Police station was traced to Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

In a 2001 interview with the NY Times Ayers said he “didn’t regret setting the bombs and I feel that we didn’t do enough.”

The American Islamic Forum for Democracy was founded by M. Zehudi Jasser, MD, who continues as President. He has advocated the preservation of the constitutional principals of democracy and separation of mosque and state. He served as a medical officer in the US Navy and was awarded the Meritorious Medal after serving as an attending physician in the US Congress. He is an active physician in Phoenix and is a former president of the Arizona Medical Association. The number of members of the association remains very small.

And the FBI in identification of the Islamic terrorists who have already been introduced in the country by the Obama administration offer a warm welcome to thousands with questionable vetting.

On March 22, 2016, President Obama urges America to accept the function of Muslim religion, but ignores the fact that it not only serves as a political process that very few United States citizens or representatives are paying attention to the actual situation and are only blindly following the ideology of Obama and his acolytes.

In the bombing of an airport and subway 34 people were killed and 200 were wounded. Some non-Muslim observers have labelled the Muslim religion as comparable to that followed under Judeo-Christian ethics and morals enjoyed by those following the civilized precepts of western countries over a thousand years and not those that have adopted by the vicious and dangerous followers of Mohammed. To identify them as “refugees” is a gross and misleading designation. The real refugees are the victims of the perpetuation of vicious moves under Sharia or Muslim mandates.

1 April, 2016 – Nuclear Summit

In a concluding address, President Obama, as chairman, identified that terrorists launching a nuclear attack “would change our world” and the world has taken “concrete” steps to prevent nuclear terrorism. If the so-called Islamic State (IS) were to obtain nuclear weapons, it would be “one of the greatest threats to global security.” The US President has also stated that he will attack the “terrorists,” but at the same time he is allowing a surge of Muslims that carries a large risk to the countries of those antagonistic to the ethics and morals of civilized cultures.

In an address at the summit, President Hollande stated strongly that the enemy threat is “Islamic Terrorists,” who must be eliminated. In a report of the conference prepared by the White House, the two descriptive designations were eliminated. When questioned about it, the censorship was called a “technical issue”.

10 April, 2016 – Obama Interview on Fox News Sunday

In the only interview granted Fox News in the seven years to date as President, Obama responded to the questions of Chris Wallace:

Wallace: Are you saying you will stick with Merrick Garland through the end of your term?

Obama: Yes.

Wallace: … Do we make too big a deal of the terror threat?

Obama: I don’t think we make too big of a deal of the terror threat.  My number one job is to protect the American people.  My number one priority right now is defeating ISIL.  My number one priority throughout my presidency has been going after terrorist networks that would attempt to do harm to —

Wallace: So what you’re (sic) point?

[_ Obama: -- Americans inside, or outside of America. _]

My point is that, how we do it is important, that we have to make sure that we abide by our laws.  We have to make sure that we abide by our values.  And we have to make sure that what we do doesn’t end up being counterproductive.

Obama largely ignores the main message, which is that he is too soft on terrorism and neglects stronger policies for dealing with threats to America’s safety. He repeatedly makes claims of abiding by laws, ignoring that they can be changed through legal means. He also pledges to stick to our values, but leaves out what those values are specifically. In fact, he is in essence arguing that the liberties that grant us certain freedoms can also take away our livelihoods through threats and acts of violence; that our freedoms to respect Sharia law, for example, are more important than our safety.

Wallace: Last October, you said that Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server did not jeopardize national secrets.

Obama: I can tell that you this is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.

Wallace: … Can you still say flatly that she did not jeopardize America’s secrets?

[_Obama: I’ve got to be careful because, as you know, there have been investigations, there are hearings, Congress is looking at this.  And I haven’t been sorting through each and every aspect of this.  _]

Here’s what I know: Hillary Clinton was an outstanding Secretary of State.  She would never intentionally put America in any kind of jeopardy.

[_ And what I also know, because I handle a lot of classified information, is that there are -- there’s classified, and then there’s classified. … _]

Wallace: But last October, you were prepared to say, “She hasn’t jeopardized.”

Obama: Yes.  Well —

Wallace: And the question is, can you still say that?

[_ Obama: I continue to believe that she has not jeopardized America’s national security.  Now what I’ve also said is that -- and she has acknowledged -- that there’s a carelessness, in terms of managing e-mails, that she has owned, and she recognizes. _]

Obama is certainly toeing a delicate line. The truth is that no one can fully know the outcome of the security of the United States as a result of Clinton’s private email server use. That will have to be seen in the coming months and years. It is clear from the case that documents do move from un-classified to classified, and back again, depending on the political climate, so no one can say for certain whether something deleted or mislabeled will become important in the future.

13 April, 2016 – Russian Planes Buzzing

Russian nuclear-able bombers conducted 30 flybys in two days of USS destroyer Donald Cook on the second day of activity in the Baltic right off the Polish coast. The planes flew 30 feet above the sea and were close to a Polish helicopter picking up fuel on the deck of the USS Donald Cook. The US responded that this was dangerous, but it was met with promises from Putin that he would withdrawing the flights over and over several times. No other significant US response occurred.

13 April, 2016 – Executive Meeting Regarding Actions On Terrorists

The President assembled his advisors and members of the cabinet to decide on methods to meet terrorist action.

9 June, 2016 – Obama Endorses Clinton

Clinton indicated to Politico by phone that: “Obama told me specifically Tuesday night” after she claimed the Democratic nomination that he was planning to back her campaign and noted he “had been very supportive to me.”

16 June, 2016 – Surge in Entry of Muslims in US

A substantial increase in Muslims has occurred under the entity charged by Obama to administer the program. A visit to the program generated comment that the entrants were vetted speedily. This timing has turned out to be much quicker than that by very knowledgable officials of government agencies already in action. These have indicated that the process is usually very difficult and time consuming in order to be properly effective. The many thousands admitted under the speedy program is not enough for Hillary Clinton, who promises to increase the number by 500% yearly when she is president.

17 June, 2016 – State Department Action

Over 50 officials have issued a written statement warning that the United States’ problem with respect to extremists is not effective. They have been joined by members of defense and intelligence agencies led by the Director of the C.I.A.

Chapter Six

Review and Analysis

The factual outcomes of the previous period of political and executive activity may be enough to allow cautious readers to know the basis of decision-making in higher office and followers of the leader and holders of the same beliefs. If there is some hesitation in reaching conclusions, a further analysis of possible factors should lead to better actions. Actual words and deeds should provide a basis for judgments of value of the information.

Remarks on Leniency toward Muslims

Early and continuing activity of Obama’s parents may represent some basis for subsequent activity of an offspring. The action of mother Dunham-Obama in paying close attention to certain teachers with attitudes differing from those held by the general population in the area is good to know. Later affinity with Muslim values and entering into marriage, along with the growth of young Obama in an environment that was later recognized by memories of earlier years, when he could express some positive feelings toward the experiences. In an address in Cairo, before leading Muslim clerics and community leaders on June 4, 2009 (a first foreign trip in his presidency), the message was regarded by many non-Muslims as an apology for views he perceived as present in the general American population. He went further in describing having a positive reaction to sounds heard at dawn, noon, and dark.

The Cairo trip and address to leading Muslim clerics and other leaders explains his positive reaction to living in a Muslim community and a pleasant response to the Muslim calls at dawn and dusk.

As of February 2015, a Three-Day Summit on Countering Violent Terrorism is apparently under a mandate of silence. Any comment must be identified as unconfirmed. One agenda item was given in the announcement — the attendees were leading Muslim officials who were pushing Sharia law. First of all, the title of the summit is misleading since they are supposed to be countering violent extremism when the latest case of Islamic extremism had been committed. If the focus was on pushing Sharia law, there has been evidence of a development in that direction. The mayor of Seattle, WA has suggested that Sharia law in real estate matters be according to Sharia principles for Muslims. In Texas, a Muslim lawyer has established court processes according to Sharia domestic principles. If the discussion concerned the enlargement of the Muslim population of the United States, it has already been happening. From 2013 to 2014, the number of Muslim immigrants has doubled and an even greater number was predicted for 2015. The construction of Muslim enclaves similar to those in France and Denmark is one of the most disturbing of Islamic group programs. If successful, the establishment of Sharia law in those enclaves represents the greatest challenge to the American constitutional order.

By September 2015, Europe has been invaded by Muslims from North Africa or the Middle East, and the European countries under the deluge have requested that the United States help shoulder the burden. What they may not have recognized is that Obama, by Executive Order, has permitted the mass flooding of Muslims at a rate difficult to determine as the program is kept secret, just as other Obama Muslim programs have been. It appears that this Muslim program comes with little usual vetting and meeting of standard methods in the application. Not to mention the difficulty of vetting individuals, often with little background information. Agents administering the program indicate that these are “refugees”. The description matches usual Obama twisting of the basic facts. Many are Muslims following Sharia law. Objectors to Sharia law have been eliminated according to basic Islamic mandate to eliminate those who have been attacked by the Muslims in one way or another. At the same time that the Muslims are freely admitted, Christians and other non-Muslims are barred from entering the United States. Why is this happening? A more important question is what lies in the future? The future is already here in various parts of the world. The increase in number of “mini caliphates” in France and the taking over by Muslims of much of the city of Aarhus, Denmark are examples of what can happen when governments establishMuslim communities and help them to grow. At least half of the Muslims admitted or born in the United States want to be ruled by Sharia law and not by the basic constitutional precepts being enjoyed by US citizens and residents.

Even Obama’s own actions have been questionable since taking office. His baptism early in the re-election campaign could be considered an attempt to counter increasing questions in the high majority of the electorate of the reality of the identification of the adherence to his principles of faith. Early in the re-election campaign President Obama chose to be baptized by his long-time advisor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, to counter continuing comments that he was not a real Christian and to show identification with a great majority of the electorate.

Obama equating the Inquisition to the Muslim activity since Mohammed’s mandates is a considerable stretch of factor. The Inquisition, certainly not to be condoned, was an activity limited in time, place and numbers. How long has been the unhappy influence of Muslim followers of Mohammed? Clearly it has been 1,400 years of consistent attacks on non-Muslims to this very day.

The celebrations by Obama and members of Obamaland in achieving their goals raises questions. How can the outcomes be considered as a great benefit to the US and world when knowledgeable former military generals, experts on Mid-East affairs, and a majority of the US populace consider this a bad outcome? The acceptance of the outcome of the negotiations makes the US acceptors allies in the activity of the leading country involved in radical Islamic terrorism. The liability goes beyond the executive level to others at the legislative level. Following the actions of a leader with an un-American ideology makes them in essence partners in that thrust as is opposed by the positions of the populace they are supposed to represent.

In incident after incident with clear connections to Islamic radicalism, there has been an absence of identification by those following the Obama lead to avoid the term “Islamic Extremism” consistently.

The push by Obama for support of Muslim adherence to their version of ??? without adding the details of that action. The action of Muslims under Sharia is far from our example of religious adherence by citizens of countries that focuses upon the basic elements of ethics and morals long held by civilized forces in history. Observers of Obama’s motion may rely on it and not determine its basis on Sharia.

In regards to the Iranian nuclear deal, the very positive response of Obama, Clinton, and other members of Obamaland to the negative results of the Iran nuclear deal is visible to a majority of US citizens and raises questions. Is the deal a basis for a legacy for Obama to carry forward or is there further evidence of a desire to have Iran get what they have tried for years to achieve?

Why did the negotiations with Iran take so long? One guess is that Obama would convince Iran in the way that his oratory has influenced hearers in the United States constituencies. Another possible conclusion is his basic ideology that involves a predisposition toward Islam. At any rate the continuing delay allowed the Iranians to make significant steps toward their goals.

Obamaland

Why does the title of this research work and content carry the wording Obamaland? Certainly Obama and those appointed by him qualify as members but those active in ways to support the ideology of the Executive qualify for membership. If news media, particularly those that post positive reports of action and ignore negative results the action is some evidence of support. In a “celebrity culture” celebrities developed by appearances on main media carry a strong influence as viewers believe they know what they are talking about, otherwise they would not be available for all to see. That deserves a bit more research to determine the validity of that position.

Acolytes of Obama’s ideological position accept his versions of history and current events without checking on the veracity of the basis for his ideological decisions. To demean the attempts of adherents to protect a civilized Christian culture built up by missionaries and leaders fighting against an invasion of barbaric and brutal masses operating under a mantra dictated by a leader not mentioned “Go out and conquer the world, convert all to Islam and upon refusal, kill them.”

A summary and evaluation of events that have taken place in a society must go into a review of how and why the major activist has gotten into the position of determining the outcomes that have taken place. This is a much more complicated matter than the one in the present research problem of collecting the actual words and actions of the individual who acts at the very basis of critical decisions. How and why did this happen is the critical question.

One historical factor apparently continuing is voting on the basis of skin color or ethnic membership. Any other factors remain to be validated by extensive research although other possible ones may be posited. While the first term election was an easier matter for supporters of Obama, the re-election gave Obamaland activists more to do. They concentrated on factors that influenced groupings in the elective population. Highly educated electors were reminded of the intelligence and progressive views of the candidate. Efforts by Obamaland members avoided any reference to more basic details of activity. This was easier because rational evaluation did not include the notion that historical and current data could be trumped on ideological bases for decision-making. It was just not imaginable to have a chief executive with a non-American ideology to be active in office. There was no emphasis by Obamaland to encourage deeper interest in underlying factors in activity. In some instances, however, it was not even necessary. The moves of the Obamalanders in the Iranian deal, for instance, was clear on the surface. When Obama and Clinton and others celebrated with radical Iranian extremists it indicated an allegiance to those concepts despite wide opposition to the deal among Middle East experts, senior military men and a majority of the US population. The dangers raised by acceptance of this deal will be with the United States and the world for a long time to come.

The strong support of Clinton by Obama is a clear indication that he is doing so to reinforce the support she has demonstrated for the Muslims by Obama in her service under Obama and an indication that he wants the strong adherence to continue in the White House.

Finally what may be the outcome of all data and analysis presented prediction of actual behavior as the result of the facts and judgment presented here may be difficult. It can be assumed that most who have unquestioningly adopted the Obama ideological position will continue to act accordingly. Those opposed to Obamaland actions will find reason for feeling justified. Most, however, are probably in the middle without much awareness of the major aspects of the conditions being faced by US citizens and the rest of the world. A major question, however, is whether those in the leading society in the world are content to demonstrate that the US leader has a non-western orientation or that the leader of the free world is Islamic.

Islamization of the United States

The sizable increase in the acceptance of Muslims by the executive officers of the US has not received the attention of Congress until very recently, as well as by the general public. Six thousand in the latest surge have come into the US from the Middle East and North Africa as well as other Muslim areas. The White House wants to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees in 2016. Syrian refugees have been placed in communities with other Syrian immigrants, joining a population of nearly 150,000 already in the US (NY Times; 31 August, 2016). Secretary of State John Kerry has stated that 85,000 refugees from around the world will be admitted in 2016, followed by 100,000 in 2017 (Associated Press; 21 September, 2015).

In the world at large, the term “refugee” is a misnomer as these refugees are nearly all Muslims and predominantly younger males. There are fears that these young, Muslim males are of fighting age, and are spreading across the globe in order to bring about the goals of those that oppose the West. Whether true, or not, there is the added risk of jeopardizing the peaceful immigration process and the individuals’ assimilation into their new homelands by perpetuating these fears and ostracizing people based on their faith. It is even possible that ISIS can use this fear and persecution as a means of recruitment, which poses a greater danger to our country’s security among individuals already vetted and admitted safely through our borders. The risk is further exacerbated by “no active protocol[s]” to properly screen displaced individuals, as stated by the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson in 2015.

At least 50% of American Muslims polled declare that they want to function under Sharia law. Compared to the broader American population, the vast majority of respondents (86% to 2%) believe that Sharia law should not replace the US Constitution. Furthermore, 92% think that Muslims in the US should follow the same laws as everyone else (Center for Security Policy; 23 June, 2015).

As Muslim immigrants are coming into the US, and being resettled into homogenous neighborhoods that are more likely to share similar sentiments toward Sharia law, the threat of growing support for this largely unwelcome way of governing gains fuel and increases the likelihood of confrontation in the future.

Sharia

Sharia (or shariah or shari’a)

Cast from the words and actions of Mohammed and the Quran (Koran), which he authored. Acts punishable by death are:

  1. {color:#000;}Denying or criticizing Mohammed, the Quran

  1. {color:#000;}A Muslim becoming a non-Muslim, who urges a Muslim away from Islam
  1. {color:#000;}A Non-Muslim who marries a Muslim woman

Other restrictions include:

  1. {color:#000;}A man can divorce his wife but a woman needs her husband’s consent to divorce.

  1. {color:#000;}A woman’s testimony in court in property cases carries half the weight of a man’s.
  1. {color:#000;}A woman cannot drive a car, cannot speak to a man who is not her husband or a relative.
  1. {color:#000;}A woman inherits half of what a man inherits.
  1. {color:#000;}A woman who has been raped cannot testify in court against her rapist.
  1. {color:#000;}Muslims can lie to non-Muslims and advance Islam and many other factors.
  1. {color:#000;}Sharia serves as the basis for the legal code in Saudi Arabia and a few Islamic countries, while a few other countries use it only in part.

What often is not noted is that Sharia is not only a religion, it is the only one permitted in a nation where Sharia is established, but is a political movement as well, according to the mandate of Mohammed to conquer the world, convert all to Islam and kill them if they refuse.

The mayor of Irving, TX put an end to America’s first Sharia court accusing mosque leaders of creating separate laws for Muslims (Political Insider). Muslims tried to pass laws in Alabama, but an amendment to the Alabama constitution prohibits foreign law to be used in Alabama courts. It does not undermine the religious rights of the Muslims (Political Insider). Insam Begley (CAIR) has said that Muslims can never be full citizens of this country (the US) because there can be no way we can be fully committed to the institution of this country (WND; Oct 24, 2015). Dearborn, Michigan is the first US city to officially, by city council vote, implement all aspects of Sharia law (nationalreport.com; Michigan).

A significant problem in handling the present danger to the United States in general is the number of citizens who accept the Obamaland position that the extremists are a small part of the Muslims being welcomed into the country. A check indicates that all are followers of Sharia and what that means. Muslims that have been recruited follow the mandates of Sharia and Mohammed are subject to punishment, including death, at the hands of other Muslims. Half of the Muslims accepted in the country say openly that they want to live under a Sharia political system while the other 50% stay silent. What this means is easily available by being acquainted directly with Sharia law and not simply believing the ideology of Obama. The directive that Sharia is "good" and the extremists are not really part of it can come as a surprise to those who bother to determine actual activity. That it is a "peaceful movement" is one of the latest attempts to have it accepted by viewers of its activity.

What is the largest danger in the situation with respect to Muslim activity today? There is no awareness of the real situation as the result of not delving into the actual facts. On the one hand, Obama and acolytes provide the status of Muslim religion as equivalent to prayer and religious activity as comparable to that followed by communities with a civilized set of ethics and morals. That the Muslim system of religion and prayer is equivalent to that in our civilized world is one of the most egregious and dangerous errors perpetuated by Obama and his acolytes. The Islamic supporters have not included the basic factor that all Muslims are advocates of Sharia, the legal system based on Islamic mandates so that when Sharia prayers are mentioned there is no mention that Sharia is both an Islamic form of prayer and a political base of activity. In all aspects, Sharia advocates, and all Muslims must be by definition of their faith),can be seen as antagonistic and vicious toward non-Muslims, as evident from their behavior in many forums online.

If good, capable Muslims raise questions about the ethics and morality of the Sharia system they run the risk of being labelled as bigots by those who believe the cause of Sharia should be supported.

There remain efforts to have the influence of Sharia continue in future executive actions by Obama followers.

Ideology

The decisions made at the executive level in the United States government can only be traced to one source: Ideology. There is substantial supporting evidence to conclude that the origins and conclusions drawn by President Obama stem from an Ideology that he has put forth throughout his term, which have led us to the current state of global politics, including a massive refugee crisis, genocide, nuclear proliferation, stronger enemies, among others. Explore the timeline of Obama's life and presidency, and draw your own conclusions about what the real agenda is.
