The Children of Issachar

[]

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do . . . and all their brethren were at their commandment.(1 Chr. 12:32 KJV)

[]

The children of Issachar were a tribe of Israel, and the Lord gives us a remarkable characteristic of this family in today’s scripture. They were “men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” What was the fruit of this precious spiritual ability? “ . . . and all their brethren were at their commandment.”

What would happen if we had the ability to know what we ought to do to take our spiritual life or career to the next level? How would our family or marriage crises pass away if we had the ability to know what we ought to do? Like the children of Issachar, those who know the times of life will lead us and show us what we ought to do.

The wisdom to understand the seasons of life is a valuable gift from God. As children of God, we are privileged to have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. The Holy Spirit is the fullness of His wisdom and power, so God sent the Spirit to show you what you ought to do in every aspect of your life and guide you with Divine wisdom.

As a believer, you have better counsel than the children of Issachar: You are wired for greatness.

MEDITATE

Why do we need to have an understanding of the seasons of our lives? Declare that “ I have an understanding of the times, and I know what I ought to do.”

APPLY THE WORD

In what areas of your life do you need to develop an understanding of the seasons? Immerse your spirit in prayer. Engage your mind in meditation on the Word to sharpen your understanding of the seasons and the times of your life.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to open your spiritual eyes to a new understanding of the seasons in your life so you will know what you need to do.

[]

What is Good Success?

[]

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth . . . for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

(Jos. 1:8 KJV)

[]

The desire, and longing, for success is ingrained deeply inside each of us. In today’s verse, the Lord gave Joshua clear instructions to lead him to “good success.” The adjective “good” immediately teaches us that there are different types of success, one of which is good. God gave Joshua “secrets” that led to “good success.”

But what is good success? Briefly stated, good success is what God considers success. All good things, including good success, come from God.

Good success in our earthly endeavors is that which comes with a heavenly touch. It means you are succeeding both here on earth and above in heaven.

God gave Joshua instructions that caused him to be successful in his earthly endeavors (military and leadership activities) as well as in his relationship with Him (heavenly success.) Joshua therefore had good success.

Sadly, many believers are successful with God (heavenly success) but fail in many of their endeavors on the earth. This is incomplete success. Though it is better than the unbeliever who succeeds on earth but is a failure in heaven, it is not God’s best for us. The Lord’s desire is for you to have good success.

MEDITATE

Was it God’s will for Joshua, and for us, to prosper and succeed in this life? Declare: “I am paying attention to God’s Word and therefore entitled to good success from God!”

APPLY THE WORD

Compare your own life with God’s instructions today. Are you successful? Are you doing as God instructed so you will have good success? (Jos. 1:8)

PRAY

Thank the Lord that it is His will for you to prosper and have good success. Pray that the Spirit will help you pay attention to the Word as Joshua did, so you can have the good success that he had.

[]

The Humble Spirit

[]

. . . “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Isa. 57:15 NKJ)

[]

Today’s scripture gives us two blessings that are reserved for those with a humble spirit: They will enjoy God’s presence on His holy mount, and they will be revived and refreshed.

But what is a humble spirit?

Jesus calls this attitude in Matt. 5:3 “the poor in spirit.” The New Living Translation gives us an important clue into understanding this very important spiritual disposition. It translates Matt. 5:3 as “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him.”

The humble in spirit are those who recognize and acknowledge their need for God. They recognize that without God, they are truly nothing and can do nothing; therefore, they are completely dependent on Him for everything. Jesus meant it when He said “without Me, you can do nothing.” (Joh. 15:5)

To see God magnified and increased in your life every day, cultivate a humble spirit. And the converse is true. The day you become self-sufficient is the day you begin to fall and crumble.

Do not allow yourself to become proud, failing to recognize your need for God. A humble spirit will bring you into a practical experience of God’s holy mountain full of the treasures of heaven.

MEDITATE

Why is it important to God that we should have a humble spirit? See 2 Cor. 12:9. Declare: “I am growing in the grace of a humble spirit every day.”

APPLY THE WORD

We need to get honest with ourselves now: Do you truly see that you need God? If you don’t, do not pretend but rather ask the Spirit to open your eyes to see your need for God.

PRAY

Pray earnestly that the Spirit of God will help you cultivate a humble spirit before Him every single day. Pray that you never become completely self-sufficient in your own ways.

[]

*Transformed by Beholding *

[]

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.(2 Cor. 3:18 KJV)

[]

The scripture above gives us a remarkable truth regarding the believer’s transformation. If we continually behold the glory of the Lord as it were an image in the mirror, the Spirit of the Lord will then continuously transform us into the same image from glory to glory! This image is none other than Christ, the very image of God (2 Cor. 4:4).

The ability to behold the Glory of God is crucial for Christian growth and maturity. We are changed as our gaze remains focused on Jesus. The more you behold Him, the more you become like Him.

But how do you behold Jesus? Paul gives us a beautiful clue in the chapter to follow (2 Cor. 4:6) where he explains “For God… hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”. The face of Jesus we behold is radiating the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. When your gaze is fixed on him, your eyes will radiate with the light of His knowledge.

You behold Jesus as you receive divine revelation of Him in His Word by the Spirit. The more you grow in the knowledge of who the Master is, the more you become transformed to become like Him!

MEDITATE

What is God’s mirror that you look into so you may see the glory of God? ( James 1:25). Declare that “I am growing in the knowledge of the Lord and becoming more and more like Him each day”.

APPLY THE WORD

First, you need to ensure you are constantly beholding His face in the mirror of His Word. As you are transformed, start living, acting and talking like Him!

PRAY

Thank the Father for His wonderful Spirit that is working out God’s perfect will in our lives through His Word

[]

I AM That I AM

[]

God said to Moses, “I AM that I AM.” . . .

(Exod. 3:14 NET)

[]

God made the amazing statement above to Moses as He introduced Himself in the midst of the burning bush. When Moses asked God what His Name was, the Lord replied, “ I AM that I AM.”

This intriguing expression “I AM that I AM” is used by God to explain the meaning of His Name. It is not actually His Name, but explains the Name Yahweh.

This is revealed in the next verse when He explains to Moses: “You must say this to the Israelites, ‘The LORD – the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob – has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this is my memorial from generation to generation. ‘”(Exod. 3:15 NET)

Yahweh is the sovereign One, independent of all creation and self-existing. He guarantees that His covenant with His people will be fulfilled. He will always be there. He alone guarantees the future, and everything He does is constant with His nature.(1)

1 See NET Bible notes on Exo.3:14.

After Jesus introduced Himself to the Israelites, He declared unto the Jews, “I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!” (Jn. 8:58 NET)

Jesus is the I AM of the Old Testament revealed in the flesh. He is the fulfillment of all the Yahweh titles. When you call on Jesus, all that is included in the titles and Name of Yahweh is activated! Therefore fear not, because The I AM That I AM is with you today!

MEDITATE

How does the expression “I AM That I AM” explain the meaning of Yahweh? Declare: “I AM That I AM of the Old Testament is with me right here and now!”

APPLY THE WORD

How does the understanding of the Name Yahweh apply to you today? Should you be worried about anything if the I AM is your Father?

PRAY

Thank the LORD for giving us better things in the new covenant sealed in Christ!

[]

Quench Not the Spirit

[]

Quench not the Spirit.

(1 Thess. 5:19 KJV)

[]

The instruction above is a solemn admonition of the apostle Paul to Thessalonian Christians, which is evidently applicable to the church today. He says, “Quench not the Spirit.”

The immediate context of the verse gives us one specific example of what it means to quench the Spirit, as verse 20 demands “Despise not prophesyings.”

The underlying meaning of the word “quench” has to do with putting out or extinguishing a fire. Think of how firefighters put out a fire, and you will immediately grasp the idea behind this exhortation.

The activities of the Holy Spirit are conceptualized as fire in the scriptures, as in Matt. 3:9. In this verse, the specific activities being mentioned are the gifts of the Spirit, such as prophecy. When we despise spiritual gifts, or suppress their manifestation, we are quenching the Spirit.

First Corinthians 12:7-10 gives us a list of the charismatic manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit. Prophecy and speaking in tongues are amongst the most vulnerable of the Spirit’s gifts to being quenched in the Church.

The instruction is simple: Do not stop, discourage, suppress, or hinder believers, including yourself, from manifesting the gifts of the Spirit – especially to those who do not understand or possess these gifts. Instead, the Lord wants you to encourage His activities in your life. God gave these gifts because He knows we need them in the Church.

MEDITATE

Why do some believers despise and try to suppress the gifts of the Spirit, such as prophecy in 1 Thes. 5:20 or speaking in tongues in 1 Cor. 14:39? What does the Lord want us to do with the gifts of the Spirit? See 1 Tim. 1:6.

APPLY THE WORD

Are you quenching or encouraging the Holy Spirit’s fire in your own life and the lives of others?

What can you do today to stir up the fire of the Spirit in your life?

PRAY

Ask for the Spirit’s gentle conviction when you quench His activities in your life.

[]

The Finger of God

[]

But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

(Lk. 11:20 KJV)

[]

Jesus made the statement above in response to an accusation by the religious Pharisees that He was casting out demons by the power of Beelzebub, the prince of the devils. He explained that it was not by Beelzebub, but with the “finger of God.”

Matthew clarifies the meaning of the “finger of God” as used by Luke: “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God . . . ” (Mat. 12:28). Here we see that the finger of God is the Holy Spirit in action. Jesus was casting out demons by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit.

But what power and authority is in a finger? And what does the Lord want to convey by referring to the Holy Spirit as the finger of God? Think of a man in authority who uses his finger to give orders to his subjects. He points at them with his finger and they understand what is being conveyed.

The finger of God represents both the instrument as well as the power and authority by which Jesus cast out the demons. The power of the Holy Spirit lives in you. So, the next time you encounter an evil spirit, point your finger at Satan in the name of Jesus and he will understand it’s time to go! The finger of God is the power of the Holy Spirit operating through you!

MEDITATE

How did Jesus point “His finger” to these demons? See Matt. 8:16. Declare that “I am operating by the finger of God, the power and instrumentality of the Holy Spirit.”

APPLY THE WORD

Is there something going in your life that you need to point the finger of God to? Cast out every evil spirit or spiritual influence out of your life by the finger of God.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the operation of His finger in our lives. Ask the Spirit to help you learn how to “point God’s finger” against the circumstances challenging your happiness and prosperity in life!

[]

Depression in the Bible

[]

A cheerful heart brings good healing, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

(Prov. 17:22 NET)

[]

Depression is a modern medical term used to describe a specific mental illness. However, what we call depression today actually existed long ago and is even documented in the scriptures.

The scripture above gives us King Solomon’s perfect description of depression. He calls it a “crushed spirit.” The New American Bible translation makes it even more clear: “A joyful heart is the health of the body, but a depressed spirit dries up the bones.” A “crushed spirit” is a depressed spirit.

The NET Bible translators state that “‘Crushed’ is an illustration for the idea that one’s psyche or will to continue is beaten down by circumstances.” Imagine a clay jar that falls to the ground and is so shattered that it seems impossible to put the tiny pieces back together. That is the picture of a crushed, depressed spirit. Circumstances appear so hopeless that we begin to feel like our life is irreparable.

But God is the Divine Potter that is able to put together every single broken piece of our seemingly crushed lives. He is the reason why we should have a joyful, cheerful heart rather than a crushed and depressed spirit. He is the joy and hope that always molds our lives for good!

MEDITATE

Why do you think depression is on the rise on a worldwide scale? Declare with a confident voice: “I have a joyful heart as a child of God. I am covered by the Light rather than the darkness of depression that covers the earth.” (Isa. 60:2)

APPLY THE WORD

Are you currently depressed or having depressive feelings? Can you identify the brokenness within you and bring the pieces of your life to your Potter to mend? (Ps. 42:5)

PRAY

Thank the Lord for being your Light against the darkness of depression. Pray that your heart will never be weighed down by depression, because God is the One caring for all your needs in life. (Phil 4:6, Ps. 23:1, Matt. 11:28)

[]

Your Ticket to a Glorious Christian Life

[]

. . . Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

(Jn. 12:24 KJV)

[]

When a farmer plants wheat, he sows a seed into the ground. The seed must first die before it can become a plant that produces a harvest. If the seed does not first die in the ground, it will remain alive as a single seed and never experience bounty and fruitfulness. Your ticket to a glorious and fruitful Christian life is dying to self.

Dying to self is captured by this phrase used by Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane “nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done “(Lk. 22:42 KJV). It is surrendering the control of your life to God, doing what He wants rather than what is comfortable and convenient for you. If God cannot control you, you will never experience persistent and lasting fruitfulness such as victory, joy, breakthroughs, healing, and so much more.

Many believers live the way they want, speaking however they want to speak, behaving however they’d like to behave and may wonder why they don’t see the spiritual blessings they are praying for. Babes in Christ live as they choose and receive intermittent answers to prayer. By contrast, mature believers have learned to surrender to God, and live from glory to glory, flourishing in His fruitfulness all year round.

Yielding to God, allowing Him to control your life, is the most important thing you can do once you become a child of God. He will not “suck life out of you” but instead He will cause your life to flourish beyond anything you could ever imagine.

MEDITATE

Why is surrender so important to see fruits, or results, in our lives? See Zach. 4:6, Gal. 5:16. Declare: “ I am yielding my life fully to the control of God’s Spirit.”

APPLY THE WORD

You yield to God by DOING what God says. Each time you obey the Word, you are yielding to God’s control.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to open your understating to the blessings of yielding to Him completely.

[]

The Confusion About Grace

[]

For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality….

(Jude 1:4 NIV)

[]

While many believers are getting a revelation of God’s grace and running with it, others are just plain confused. There are many reasons for this confusion, but one of them is ungodly people claiming grace as a license to commit sexual immorality.

Many sincere believers are confused by the behavior of “ungodly people” abusing grace long before God’s true grace was revealed to them. People have always abused God’s Word for their personal gain but that in no way nullifies the truth of His Word.

Can grace produce sin? A thousand times no. Rather the presence of sin is the greatest evidence that grace is absent. Grace is the divine antidote to a sinful lifestyle because it empowers us to break free from the practical grip of sin.

There should be no confusion, hesitancy or suspicion about grace. If you are confused about grace, start by studying the scriptures for yourself. You may also compliment Scripture with Christian literature to help solidify your understanding.

MEDITATE

Who are these “ungodly people” mentioned in our scripture above? Were they true Christians? See 2 Pet. 2:1, Gal. 2:4. Declare that “the Holy Spirit lives in me and I therefore refuse to be confused about God’ grace.

APPLY THE WORD

If you know you do not have a solid revelation of the grace of God, I strongly recommend you do a personal study for yourself. Please do not begin by purchasing a book about grace, rather start by studying the Word for yourself and then get relevant books to read later.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to help give you understanding and focus so you won’t be distracted by the ungodly people in these end times.

[]

Highly Favored

[]

And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women

(Lk. 1:28 NKJ).

[]

The angel Gabriel spoke these precious words to the virgin Mary when she learned she was the chosen mother of God made flesh!

The words “highly favored” in the verse above are derived from the Greek verb “charitoo”, which means “to bestow favor on” or “favor highly.” It essentially means God lavishes favor or grace someone.

But what is divine favor?, It is more than a good disposition towards someone. Favor is a tangible act of divine kindness or goodness. Divine favor is a tangible, experience of God’s goodness that has visible proof in every aspect of our lives. You cannot receive a touch of God’s favor and not have a obvious proof of it.

Mary was “charitooed” by God who chose her to be the mother of Jesus. What about you? The only other scripture that uses this verb is Eph.1:6 which says “to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son (Eph. 1:6 NET). God has lavished his favor upon the believer in Christ! The new creation is wired to be a visible demonstration of the goodness of El-Shaddai. When people see you, they will see how gracious, kind and good God is. Praise the Lord!

MEDITATE

What are some of the tangible effects in our life story that are proof of God’s favor? See Eph. 1:3-14. Declare that “I am highly favored in Christ. All things are mine. I am a child of God!”

APPLY THE WORD

Mary was highly favored and so are you. Start thinking this way every day and giving God thanks for His favor.

PRAY

Bless the Lord right now for bestowing favor lavishly on you. Ask the Spirit to show you how to take full advantage of God’s favor in your life.

[]

I Am the LORD that Healeth Thee

[]

I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exod. 15:26 KJV)

[]

Yahweh introduces Himself to the Israelites in our verse today as “the LORD that health thee.” He is Yahweh, Jehovah Rapha or Ropheka (Hebrew) the Lord our Healer. In fact the meaning of this phrase is “I am Yahweh, your Doctor or Physician!” Imagine waiting in your doctor’s office and Someone walks in, and says “I am Yahweh, and I will be your Doctor today!!”

The healing referred to in this text is not “spiritual healing.” It’s the physical healing of the Israelites’ bodies. God can, and does, heal sickness from the body today. He is the Great Physician. It is beyond my comprehension how many find it so unacceptable that God heals the physical human body. Some Christians still doubt God’s will or ability to heal, yet they believe and advocate that He is the very Creator of the human body!

Well, who is better to fix a broken machine than the machine’s inventor? If God created the body and raised the dead, then He certainly can heal the physical body from every illness. It is time for the church to fully accept that God does want to intervene in the affairs of nature to alter the course of events in our lives. We must remove the barrier of unbelief and let Him have His way with us. He is Yahweh, your Doctor!

MEDITATE

Take a moment now and ponder over this phrase again and again “I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

APPLY THE WORD

You may be certain you have received Jesus as your Savior, but have you also received Him as your Healer and Physician?

PRAY

Thank the Lord for being your Healer. Pray that He will help you fully understand how to put His healing power to work in your life.

[]

Author and Finisher of our Faith

[]

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith

(Heb. 12:2 KJV)

[]

Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith!

As the Author, He is the One who first establishes our faith. He is our Trailblazer. Not only is He the Founder, but He is the very essence of faith. The last verse of chapter 11 list the heroes of faith, but also states that these Old Testament heroes could not be made perfect without us. Why? Jesus had not yet come! True faith is anchored on Jesus. The very revelation of Who He is births faith in the heart of man. Here is your secret to developing great faith: Keep looking on Jesus. This means constantly receiving revelation of who He is and keeping your attention on Him.

But He is also the Finisher or Perfecter of our faith. Faith begins and is brought to maturity in Him. A perfecter or finisher is someone who brings something to perfection or full maturity. Our faith begins as Jesus is first revealed in our hearts and matures to start producing results as Jesus is revealed in our hearts! Faith matures in the atmosphere of Jesus!

Keep looking, continuously receiving revelation of Him, remaining focused on Him, and you will see your faith soar! Faith is not a human product. It is a divine work on the heart of man, so you can’t work or struggle to get faith. Just keep looking at Jesus and the Spirit will do the rest!

MEDITATE

Keep your mind thinking on the words “Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.” Now declare these words again and again as you think upon them.

APPLY THE WORD

Do you need to build faith for a breakthrough in an area of your life? Do you now know what to do? Do not struggle about it. Just put the Living Word in your heart and faith will erupt!

PRAY

Thank Jesus for founding faith so we can be saved. Pray that your faith will be strong day after day and start producing results.

[]

Save Your Soul

[]

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls

(Jas. 1:21 KJV)

[]

James admonishes believers in the text above to continue receiving the Word that can save their souls. He was speaking to believers and not to unbelievers.

Many Bible commentators agree that the word “soul” as used in this text refers to the whole person and not just the mind, emotions or will. It refers to the inward and the outward man. The spirit part of the inward man is already saved. The soul must be saved from calamities such as fear, depression, and hate from plaguing our present day lives. The body is still vulnerable to disease and needs to be continually delivered from the destructive effects of disease. James uses the word “save” to refer to healing of the physical body here and now in James 5:15.

As you continue to feed on and receive the Word of God, you grow spiritually stronger. The Word in you will empower you to live above the death that plagues the souls and bodies of men here and now. Ultimately the Word will completely save the soul and body from death when Jesus returns. Receive the implanted Word continuously to save your soul here and now while you wait for Jesus to return!

MEDITATE

Why do you need to save your soul now? Declare that “I am receiving the Word of God constantly into my heart and saving my mind, emotions, will and bodies from all manifestations of death.”

APPLY THE WORD

Does your mind or emotions need to be saved? Lusts, anxiety, unrest, bitterness, and hate are all examples of death in the soul from which we need to be saved. We also need to be saved from the disease which brings death to the body. Receive the Word and save your soul and body!

PRAY

Thank the Lord for His wonderful salvation. Ask the Spirit to help you receive His Word constantly to save your soul.

[]

The Hidden Man of the Heart

[]

But let it be the hidden man of the heart… even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price

(1 Pet. 3:4 KJV)

[]

Man is beautifully designed by God to be a spirit being, living on the earth through a soul. The body was created to be a dwelling place or a house for the human spirit to dwell and live on the earth. The “real person” is not the body but is living within the body. This “real person” within, the “real you” is what the Apostle Peter calls here the “hidden man of the heart.”

First, notice that this inward man is hidden. He is not seen by other people but is clearly seen by God. Though he is hidden, he is expressed through words and actions for others around to see what he really looks like.

Though this inward man is hidden, he is actually the control center of what the entire life of that person will be like. This is crucial. Your life is determined by the state and activities of this hidden man of the heart (Prov. 4:23). You will see what is in your heart eventually show up in your body, finances, relationships, and career. Many people are so meticulous in caring for their bodies and neglect their hearts, yet this hidden man of the heart controls what will ultimately happen to their bodies. Care for your heart, too!

MEDITATE

How important is the heart to God from our main verse above? Why is it important to God? See Joh.4:24.

APPLY THE WORD

Are you conscious of the state and processes of this hidden man inside of your body? If you have the hidden poison of bitterness or lusts in your heart, respond to the Word today and clean your heart!

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to help you understand the operations of the hidden man inside of you and to take every effort to keep your heart in its best state for glorious results.

[]

Open Your Mouth Wide

[]

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it

(Ps. 81:10 KJV)

[]

Have you ever seen a mother feeding a child and the child opens his mouth wider when he sees a bigger piece of food in the mother’s hand? By opening his mouth wider, the child is making room to contain that which the mother has in her hands. The Lord says to you today “open your mouth wide and I will fill it!”

When you open your mouth wide, you are simply making room or enlarging your capacity to receive and contain God’s blessings in your life. The Lord commanded the Israelites to “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes” (Isa. 54:2 KJV)

Your desire and capacity to receive are like a vacuum pump that sucks blessings out of heaven. What can you believe God for? It shall be unto you according to your faith. Can you believe God for a billion dollar company or just a neighborhood retail store? By opening your mouth wider your desire, your verbal requests to God, and your faith that believes and receives all work together. These are some of the main things that determine your capacity to receive before God.

The Lord is instructing you today regarding your ministry, career, health, business, etc that you should open your mouth wide and enlarge the place of your tent. He wants you to think and believe big things.

MEDITATE

What does God use to fill the mouth of His children who are open to Him? See Ps. 103:5. Carefully ponder and mutter the words “open your mouth wide and I will fill it.”

APPLY THE WORD

What is your receiving capacity? Be courageous and bold in your God. You will not receive what you cannot see. Think and believe big things and watch what God will do!

PRAY

Bless the Lord who satisfies your mouth with good things every day (Ps. 103:5).

What is Spiritual Food?

[]

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel

(Ezek. 3:1 KJV)

[]

The experience of Ezekiel described above teaches us great lessons about what spiritual food is and what it means to feed spiritually. Do you remember Jesus telling Peter to feed His sheep in John 21:16? What does this mean? And what is spiritual food?

God showed the prophet Ezekiel a vision of a book handed down to him (Ezek. 2:9-10) and God instructed him to eat the book. In verses 10-11 of the same chapter, God gives us an explanation of what He meant in verse 1 when he told Ezekiel to “eat this roll” by saying “Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all My words that I shall speak unto thee RECEIVE IN THINE HEART, and hear with thine ears…” (Ezek. 3:10-11 KJV)

The meaning of feeding is here given as receiving in the heart. The human spirit has a capacity to receive spiritual virtues and to mold and become one with them. The Lord in Ezekiel goes further to tell us what the food is that should be eaten, which is “all My words.”

When the human spirit receives the Word of God that molds to become one with it, imparting the life that it carries, it is feeding on the Word of God. The Word carries revelation, healing, power, and wisdom and when received into the heart, it imparts these life virtues. Feed on the Word to grow and flourish in life!

MEDITATE

Meditation is essentially eating spiritual food. It is the process of pondering and muttering God’s Word so that it enters into the heart. Meditate on our Scripture above now!

APPLY THE WORD

Do you regularly feed your spirit? Spiritual fasting is not permitted! Develop a habit of feeding constantly on God’s Word and you will become an all-around success!

PRAY

Thank the Lord for giving us spiritual food. Pray that the Spirit will create a hunger in you to feed on His Word.

Till Your Land

[]

He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread

(Prov. 28:19 KJV)

[]

The Scripture above gives us a priceless but often ignored secret to divine prosperity. If you till your land, you will have plenty of bread. This proverb does not apply to farmers only. Your land is what you do. If you till it, you will have plenty of bread. It is important to understand that giving is not all there is to divine prosperity.

Growing up in church, I learned a lot about the importance of giving, including tithing. However, the emphasis of these teachings and the accompanying testimonies I heard led me to the wrong direction. I often heard how people would pay a tithes and receive “a check in the mail”, or would sow a seed and somebody would bless them with a large sum of money. I remember sowing seeds and then waiting for my own check in the mail, which has not still come to this date!

Can God meet your needs using “a check in the mail?” Absolutely yes. Is that His means of exploding financial prosperity in your life? No! There is a difference between meeting your needs, which God does as your Father, and divine abundance.

Read this now and take it to heart once and for all: the blessing of God that leads to abundance will almost always come through the works of your hands. If you do nothing, you will be broke. If you have your land and do not till it with diligence, you will never know financial abundance from heaven.

Do not sit on ideas, talents, skills or have nothing in your hands to create wealth and expect some “check in the mail!” Open your eyes to the Scriptures and get your hands dirty tilling your land!

MEDITATE

What does it mean to till your land?

APPLY THE WORD

Are you tilling your land? Do you have anything in your hands that God can bless? (Deut. 2:7, Exo. 4:2).

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to help you start tiling your land so that the blessing of God activated by giving will overwhelm the works of your hands!

The Shadow of Death

[]

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me..”

(Ps. 23:4 KJV)

[]

Think of the relief and refreshment of your soul that occurs when you find the shade of a tree on a scourging summer day. The object whose shadow you are under is the tree in this case, and it brings comfort from the heat of the sun.

The same is true when we abide under God’s shadow, in which case He affords protection for us and a sense of security and comfort from the heat of life’s challenges.

Now imagine that the object that is casting this shadow is death! The shadow of death describes the gloom, sorrow, and fears that fill a man’s heart when death is near. The closest example I can think of as a Doctor is when I look into the eyes of patients who have terminal diseases and they are expecting to die in days or weeks. Their soul is filled with the horror of imminent death. This is what the shadow of death is. It is the gloom that fills a man’s heart because of a potentially deadly situation that they find themselves in.

If you are reading this devotional under the shadow of death or the shadow of pain and suffering, the Lord’s Word to you is to fear no evil because God, who casts a shadow of life, is with you. His Word will dispel every shadow of death and bring life to your soul!

MEDITATE

Think on the words of Ps. 23:4 carefully, one word at a time. Then declare those words again and again and let them sink into your spirit.

APPLY THE WORD

Are you in the valley of the shadow of death or a similar situation? There is hope in God. Trust God and let faith bring you the victory (1 Jn. 5:4).

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the assurance of His presence, the shadow of life, who guarantees your victory.

Evidence That You Truly Have Believed God

[]

“For we which have believed do enter into rest”

(Heb. 4:3 KJV)

[]

There are tangible proofs that you can look for to tell if you have truly believed God’s Word or not. Faith is not just a mental activity. It is an activity that originates from within the spirit of man and of course operates in his mind. It is very easy for believers to assume they have believed God’s Word, when what they are calling faith is actually nothing more than religious talk or “mental faith.”

From Hebrews 4:3, one of the evidences you can look for to tell you that your heart has truly believed God is rest. When you believe, you enter into God’s rest. You cease to fret around and be restless or anxious. In fact, anxiety or constant uncontrollable worry over a situation is one solid proof to you that you have truly not believed God as you thought you might have.

Another solid proof to look for in your life as an evidence that you have believed God is “joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Pet. 1:8) and thankfulness to God (Rom. 4:20). These are not virtues that you can willfully produce in your heart. When your heart truly believes God, rest, joy, and thankfulness will spring forth of themselves like the earth that produces a plant from a seed that is sown in it without you knowing how it even happened.

If you find that you do not truly believe God, do not freak out. Just feed your spirit with the Word and faith will rise until you run out of storage space for it!

MEDITATE

What does it mean to believe? Declare that “I am a child of Abraham and therefore born with an ability to believe God.”

APPLY THE WORD

Are you believing God for something? First, check to see if what you are calling faith is true faith by using the simple tests above.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the gift of faith. Pray that your faith will grow stronger and stronger each day.

[]

What is Your Spirit Doing Inside of You?

[]

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul

(Gen. 2:7)

[]

Have you ever wondered what your spirit is doing inside of you? What is its role in your day-to-day life?

When God breathed the spirit into man, the soul came into being and biological life started in the body. When man sinned in the Garden, he died just as God had said. However, it was not his physical body that died, but his spirit that died that day, meaning it got separated from God, Who is life. This is not the same as being physically annihilated or ceasing to exist. This is very important to understand. The sinner who is dead still has the spirit inside of them.

The human spirit is more active and involved in the daily activities of our lives than many of us might realize. The issue is that the spirit does not live independently of the soul in man. It operates within the soul. God made man to live on the earth through his soul. That means the spirit man thinks, feels, acts, etc., in and through the soul. It is the spirit that carries the life of God, and our victory comes from there. Whenever we are acting on the Word or being led by the Spirit, it is our spirit that is operating because that is what responds to God.

MEDITATE

Take a minute to think carefully, one word at a time through the words of Gen. 2:7 above. Declare that “the life of God is in my spirit, and this life is overflowing to my soul and body.”

APPLY THE WORD

The reason you pray or meditate on the Word is to build up that spirit man inside of you. Empower your spirit every day and get it ready to face any challenges that will come to you.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to open your understanding of the operation of the spirit inside of you. Pray that you will understand who God made you to be and take full advantage of it.

Come Up Hither

[]

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither… (Rev. 4:1 KJV)

[]

After the message to the seven churches was given to the Apostle John, the Lord showed him an open door in heaven and commanded him to “come up hither.” He was called to come into heaven through the open door that he saw.

The second verse gives us an immediate response to this command: “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven..” (Rev. 4:2 KJV)

John was called from the realms of earthly life into the realms of the heavenly life. And the Lord is giving this same call to believers today. It is not a call to be converted and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is a call for believers to step up through the open door that is already set before them into the realms of the spirit and begin to relate with the Father in heaven.

The ruin of the church is the flesh, operating in the realms of the earth. Many are saved, and filled with the Holy Spirit, but are living what I call “natural Christianity.” They are living a purely natural life, like any other unsaved human being, when they actually carry a divine life and have an open door into heaven. God is saying to you today “come up hither” through the door that is already set open before you.

MEDITATE

Ponder upon the meaning of the call to “come up hither.” Declare that “I am stepping into the realms of higher fellowship with God through the open door set before me.”

APPLY THE WORD

Is your Christian experience an earthly or a heavenly experience? Are you having an experience of heaven and of God’s presence? If not, then God is calling you to come up hither today.

PRAY

Thank Jesus for the open door before you. Ask the Spirit to help you step into a higher fellowship with God from today onwards.

[]

Give Thanks Always

[]

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Eph. 5:20 KJV)

[]

The Lord commands us to give thanks always for all things unto God the Father. This truth and the principle it conveys will change your life if you will commit yourself to doing what the Word says. Cultivate a thankful spirit and change your life forever!

Giving thanks “for all things” does not mean thanking God for what Satan is doing. 1 Thes. 5:8 gives us the meaning by using the terms “in every thing give thanks.” The Lord wants you to learn to be thankful in whatever state you find yourself. Not everything that comes our way is from God, but we can learn to see God as with us in every circumstance and working for us in every situation and we can give thanks to Him.

An ungrateful or complaining spirit will ruin spiritual victory in your life. As a believer, the moment you start complaining about a situation, your spirit is overwhelmed and will not produce any results. The command to be thankful does not instruct us to wait until things work the way we want them to and then be thankful.

Your ability to not complain or become ungrateful when circumstances do not go your way is one of the pearls that mark Christian maturity in your life. Spiritual babies continue to complain about what is happening and sink deeper into despair over their situation.

The spiritually mature, who have learned to know how God works, are able to break through and give thanks always, activate divine power, and live in miracles daily!

MEDITATE

What does it mean to be thankful? Ponder upon this. Declare that “I am giving thanks always for all things in my life.”

APPLY THE WORD

You will have a reason to complain about something today at your job, home, school, or in whatever situation you will find yourself. When that “opportunity comes” to complain, instead choose the Word and give thanks to God for where He has you.

PRAY

Thank the Lord right now for the gift of Christ Jesus, His Word, and His Spirit. Give thanks to Him for your family, your job, your health, your church, etc.

The Coming Flood of Financial Prosperity

[]

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

(Job 22:24 KJV)

[]

The Spirit is expressly speaking that God is raising a people that will not only experience His presence and glory like no other human generation that has ever existed on earth, but also that they will see a tremendous level of earthly prosperity.

The time has come for believers to “lay up gold as dust.” When God brought Israel out of Egypt, He promised them a land that flowed with milk and honey. Was that true? Absolutely yes! The Bible speaks of Solomon and says gold was so common in Israel that silver was as trash! (1 Ki. 10:21 KJV). The land was flowing with milk and honey for them! Sadly, the Israelites experienced this tremendous prosperity only for a short time because they despised the Word of God.

Job gives us the secret to this flood of material prosperity in verse 22 when he says “Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart (Job 22:22 KJV). If the believer will receive the Word and DO what it says, then earthly prosperity will result. God is raising up millionaires and billionaires who will be filthy rich yet so passionately in love with God. Open your hearts and receive His Word.

MEDITATE

Who owns the silver and the gold of the earth? See Haggai 2:8. Declare that “I am giving heed to the Word of God and laying up gold as the dust.”

APPLY THE WORD

Not everyone will experience God’s financial abundance. The choice is not God’s but yours. The place that His Word has in your life will determine your outcome. Start receiving and obeying the Word of God today to get yourself ready for a financial avalanche!

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the promise of His blessings by the works of your hands. Ask the Spirit to help you plant the Seed of seeds, His Word, into your heart to produce a harvest of prosperity.

[]

Wisdom is the Principal Thing

[]

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

(Prov. 4:7 KJV)

[]

If you are like me, you would have expected God to say that power is the principle thing, not wisdom. Yet the Scripture above gives us the tantalizing statement that “wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom.” It also does not say that riches or fame are the principle thing in life. The reason we tend to think otherwise is because our thoughts are not God’s thoughts and our ways are not His ways.

We typically live a crisis or problem-oriented life. We value the things that will solve the crisis we are in right now or what will meet our immediate or physical needs. Our vision is often blurred by our present or earthly needs. The Lord, however, sees the entire picture, including the future here on earth and in eternity and tells us what really matters in life. He says wisdom, divine wisdom, or the knowledge of God’s ways, is the principal thing in life.

The preeminence of wisdom lies in the fact that it has or will produce every other treasure in life including long life, riches, honor, and power! (Prov. 3:16, 8:14)

Wisdom comes from God, and is found in His Word, “For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous” (Prov. 2:6-7 KJV). Seek wisdom today in God’s Word and have the edge in every aspect of life!

MEDITATE

What does the phrase “wisdom is the principal thing” mean? And why is wisdom the principal thing in life?

APPLY THE WORD

Do you have divine wisdom? Are you making errors in your life just simply because you lack wisdom to know what to do? Start paying attention to the Word and listening to the Spirit today to connect with divine wisdom.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the gift of Jesus, who is the wisdom of God dwelling in us. Pray for the Spirit to help you seek wisdom and to prioritize it in your life.

[]

The Human Spirit Can Be Trained

[]

But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties are trained by practice to discern good and evil. (Heb. 5:14 NAB)

[]

The Scripture above clearly states that mature believers are those who have trained their faculties by virtue of practice. This teaches us that we can be trained to grow in spiritual things. We know how to train our muscles by exercise to make them stronger. In the same way, we can train our hearts in the affairs of godliness to make them stronger.

The faculties mentioned in the Scripture above are not mere intellectual or mental faculties, but they are the faculties of the human spirit operating in and through the mind. Discernment is spiritual, just like faith, spiritual strength, or wisdom. You have to train your newborn human spirit in spiritual things.

I meet believers struggling with their faith all the time. Faith is not a faculty of the mind but of the spirit. It is not acquired mainly by acquiring intellectual knowledge. The human spirit, or the heart, has to be trained to become stronger in faith.

Have you ever met a believer who loves the Lord but just cannot rejoice under tough times even though they know the Word commands them to do so? Why does this happen?

They want to find joy in the Lord but they do not have the strength because their spirit has probably not been strengthened by exercise. It is your responsibility to train your spirit. Bodily exercise has some benefits but spiritual exercises will make you an all-around winner in all things.

MEDITATE

Why do we have to train our spirits? (1 Pet. 2:2). Declare that “my spiritual senses are being trained in the Word by the Spirit of God everyday.”

APPLY THE WORD

Start training your human spirit. If you are weak in the faith, it is because your spirit is not trained. You train yourself as you regularly engage in spiritual activities such as prayer, reading and meditating on God’s Word, learning to hear God’s voice, etc.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit of God to take you into God’s Gym and begin to train your spiritual senses.

Your Mouth, Your Life

[]

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

(Prov. 13:3 KJV)

[]

Did you notice what the first part of our text above says? Your life and your mouth are connected! If you watch your mouth, you are watching your very life.

You are not ready to operate with God and have victory in the realm of the spirit until the power of words becomes a personal revelation to you. The very nature of God (the Word) and the power of His words are indications to us of the power of words in the realm of the spirit. Words have a direct impact on the realm of the spirit.

Yes, words can mar or make things in the natural world, but this is nothing compared to their effect in the spiritual world. Words rule in the realm of the spirit. Your human spirit, angels (Ps. 103:20), demons, and nature respond to words because words are much more than natural sound waves, instead they carry spiritual energy!

The direct lesson from our text above is that you should watch what you say. This is not just an issue of “positive speaking” or of being positive in life. Your words are triggering spiritual energy, and you must be fully aware of that. This does not have to make complete sense to your mind. By the way does the fact that God created the world by speaking make sense to your mind? Be cautious about your mouth because your life will follow what you say.

MEDITATE

Part of meditation is muttering or speaking God’s Word under your breath. It is not just thinking, but speaking, for the same reasons mentioned above. Meditate on the Scripture above by muttering it repeatedly (Jos. 1:8).

APPLY THE WORD

There are no jokes, common slangs, sarcasm, etc. in the spirit. Watch what comes out of your mouth. Also, start speaking the blessings of God’s Word over your life.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to help you put a guard over your mouth and begin to use it to positively impact your life!

Healing For The Brokenhearted

[]

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. (Isa. 61:1 KJV)

[]

The heart is used in this Scripture to describe the operations of the spirit and the soul of man. Man’s outward life is determined by what goes on inside his heart (Prov. 4:23). Think of the human heart as a clay jar and visualize what happens when a jar is smashed by an iron rod into a thousand pieces. That is the picture here of a broken heart. It is a smashing, wounding, destruction, breaking, or weakening of the human spirit. This can be experienced as an emotional or mental breakdown or sometimes as a breakdown of the will.

Man’s heart is broken by circumstances of life which cause deep hurt, pain, grief, and bitterness. The number of brokenhearted people out there in the world is becoming alarming and is a public health emergency! Broken hearts lead to broken lives. People are hurting out there, from marital issues, abuses, social and economic anxieties and fears, natural disasters including deaths of loved ones, etc. The list continues.

The Lord is the Doctor for the brokenhearted. We can confidently bring our brokenness to Him and depend on His love and care to heal our hearts. There is so much brokenness in the world today and Jesus is our secret place to find healing for our hearts.

MEDITATE

What does it take to heal the brokenhearted from Isa. 61:1 above? Does God care about the brokenhearted? (Ps. 34:18).

APPLY THE WORD

The worst thing we can do with a broken heart is to pretend it is not there. It will certainly slowly kill our health, relationships, families, finances etc. Let us open our hearts to the Lord to bring needed healing today.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for being the Healer of your broken heart and ask the Spirit to begin the work of healing every situation that has caused hurt, emotional pain, bitterness, deep anger, etc in your heart.

The Engrafted Word

[]

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

(Jas. 1:21 KJV)

[]

In the words above James admonishes us to receive with weakness the engrafted word, which is able to save our souls. What a description of the operations of the Word of God!

The ten commandments were engraved on two tablets of stones with the finger of God. This is symbolic of the Spirit of God engraving God’s Word upon our hearts today (2 Cor. 3:3 KJV). The Word of God is engraved on the human heart just as the Word was engraved on two tablets of stone. The two tablets are the two parts of the heart – the spirit and the soul!

The engrafted Word is similar to the engraved word but with a slightly different perspective. The Greek-English lexicon of the New Testament and other early Christian literature (BDAG) describes this engrafting as “the word is permanently established in the individual and like inborn assets functions in an exceptional manner.”

The engrafted (implanted) word describes the permanent establishing of the Word in our hearts by God. This occurs at the new birth when we are born of the Word and are imparted with the divine nature in our spirits (inborn).

The Word of God was implanted in you at conversion! You are an offspring of the Word! God instructs you then to feed continuously on the Word in order to allow that Seed to grow to maturity!

MEDITATE

As you meditate, you give the Spirit the opportunity to engrave the Word more deeply into your heart and make it become one with you. Meditation is your key to the life of the Word!

APPLY THE WORD

God’s Word is implanted inside of you as a believer. What a truth for us to take a hold of! God’s very nature is implanted inside of you, so know who you are!

PRAY

Thank the Lord for giving to you the gift of His Word.

The God of This World

[]

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not. (2 Cor. 4:4 KJV)

[]

The Scripture above calls Satan the “god of this world.” The beginning of his rebellion was rooted in his desire to be like the one true God. In Isaiah 14:14, he said “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” And this is exactly what he is seeking to do in this present age. He is taking the place of God in the lives of people, blinding their minds to the only true God and posing himself as a god instead. And worst of all, those who are blinded and worship him often do so without realizing that is what they are doing.

Jesus made a shocking statement in John 8:44 when He called Satan the father of the Jews! They could not handle what they heard and obviously took up stones to kill Him. Satan was influencing and controlling the Jews in subtle but tangible ways that were not obvious to them. This has been his desire, to be the god of the lives of men and women, controlling them and making them worship him as he requested Jesus to do (Matt. 4:9).

Satan must be dethroned. That is why Jesus came. Refuse to yield to his control through lusts. Refuse to worship him (Matt. 4:9). The true God alone must be worshipped and He must reign in your life!

MEDITATE

What do you think an unsaved person would do if they hear that their minds are blinded by Satan? Would they become upset like the Jews were?

APPLY THE WORD

Whenever we yield to Satan, he is controlling us as our god. Refuse to bow and worship the enticements he brings your way, whether lust, power, glory, or wealth.

PRAY

Pray that the Spirit of God will remove the veil over the minds of the unsaved. Ask that Satan will not be god in any part of your life and that you would not succumb to any of his desires.

How to Meditate on the Word

[]

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…

(Jos. 1:8, KJV)

[]

Meditating on the Word of God is your lifeline to connecting to the flow of God’s life. God’s Word is your very life as a believer (Deut.32:47). Meditating on the Word is a skill that is learned and can be perfected. It is certainly not for ministers only, but instead it is for every single believer in Christ if we want to grow and be built up to the fullness of Christlikeness.

In the verse above, God instructed Joshua to meditate on the Word day and night. But how do we meditate on the Word? For brevity, there are two major parts of meditation: thinking (pondering) with the mind and speaking with the mouth.

The very first part of meditation is thinking or pondering on what God has said. It is closely related to but not the same thing as reading the Scriptures. Meditating is keeping your mind on the Word as you ponder on it. The key is the time your mind spends dwelling on the Word (Isa. 26:3).

The second part of meditation is using the mouth. Many believers are not yet familiarized with this. This is the aspect that is emphasized in Jos. 1:8 above. It is meditating with the mouth! The Hebrew word used for meditate in the verse above means to “read in an undertone” or to “utter, groan, or mutter.” The next phase of meditation is learning to speak the words of God like someone speaking to themselves.

MEDITATE

Practice on meditating on the Word with Jos. 1:8 above. Ponder upon the words and then gently speak them over and over again.

APPLY THE WORD

If you have not cultivated a habit of meditating on God’s Word, why would you continue to rob yourself of divine empowerment and victory? Do not wait any longer. Start right now!

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to teach you how to develop the habit of meditating on the Word.

[*About Glory & Grace *
Daily Devotionals]

Glory & Grace Daily Devotionals was conceived in 2015 at the inspiration and direction of the Spirit to provide daily quality spiritual food to feed the House of God. It was born out of the firm recognition that the believer truly needs ONE THING only to succeed, which is the Word of God ( Luke 10:42.) If believers will truly take the Word into their spirit, it will produce all other things, including all spiritual and physical blessings. But how many believers truly believe this?

These devotionals do  not seek to do all things. The main purpose is to assist the believer to feed on snippets of truths daily, taking the Word into their hearts to trigger the activity of the Spirit in their lives. When God’s Word is taken into the heart, and acted on by faith, the Spirit is unleashed. And that is all you need to gain the mystery over all the circumstances of life.

It is far from our intention to be vaguely positively inspiring, or to be some daily life coach. We are not seeking to merely  develop a   positive attitude or thinking in you. Rather, we seek to get tiny bits of the Truth of the Word into your spirit that will unleash divine power in your life. Our honest desire is that you will soon outgrow the need for constantly using this devotional, that as you grow to maturity you will begin to sense the leading of the Spirit daily to know what to feed on for yourself.

Glory & Grace Daily is published monthly  to provide daily insights from the Word to feed on. Do not miss next month’s issue! It will have “The 30 Days Series,” which produces daily devotionals with carefully chosen insights to deal with specific challenges such as depression, disease, addiction, sexual lusts, fear, etc. We are currently expanding The 30 Days Series to include more and more titles.

Our prayer is that you do not just read these devotionals, but feed on them. The Word of God that works for you is the Word that is in your spirit (heart,) and feeding is the process of taking the Word into your heart. God’s Word is powerful, and there is nothing known or unknown that comes close to its ability to transform and change your life.
