Teenager Daniel is on a Sentinel assignment in the year 1959 when he’s recalled to take on his first solo mission, this time in 2203 and in a different reality. Minutes after arriving at his destination, it’s obvious that something is wrong and that he's facing some serious problems prompting him to contact his HQ for assistance. His difficulties mount when he discovers that his only means of communicating with his superiors isn’t working. Cut off from any support in a male hostile environment where he’s caught up in a complicated and dangerous situation that becomes ever more confusing, it’s unclear who is most at risk and where the real threats lie. What should have been a straight forward task baby-sitting a princess with a kidnap threat hanging over her rapidly becomes a personal conflict between himself and two groups of ruthless individuals who he learns are each intent on using and manipulating him for their own ends. With no one to turn to for help he’s forced to rely on his own resourcefulness until he befriends the young servant Tomas assigned to him by the royal household. A teenager like himself, they join forces with Tomas proving to be a valuable ally.
