Introduction

Developing the confidence to have hardcore focus energy might seem like a tedious task, but it becomes easier with time, work, and dedication. People undermine the power of their minds by often using it for engaging in distractions that are dominating their immediate environment, deviating their minds away from a specific goal. It is very important to remove those distractions including unproductive toxic people, valueless entertainment devices, time-wasting social media pages, or anything that might give you temporary pleasure but take away from necessary work.

Develop Confidence To Increase The Focus Ability

You need to have confidence in yourself to truly develop a focused mindset. Confidence comes from within by gaining general knowledge about what you are and trusting your ability to carry out a plan. This book will help you with this and more. However, like with anything in life, you need to start slow and then speed up later but not too fast for too long, to avoid a burnout. Doing this will help things fall into place perfectly, so be ready to embrace your success.

Stay Committed To Your Focused Goals

Once you are successful in achieving a focused mentality, it is time to stay committed to your goals. Sometimes people will become too excited in the beginning simply because they are ecstatic at succeeding so much that they forget to train properly. UFC fighter Ronda Rousey did precisely this at the end of her career. Most people believe that since Rousey was focusing on making movies and modeling on magazine covers – things that had nothing to do with fighting – this weakened her. She would also pass up training opportunities offered by those who were more skillful and would instead talk smack about them. This made her lose focus and get beat up multiple times, ending up in the hospital. Moreover, there are some people who just want to test the waters and see if they can become the greatest at something, just to know that they can succeed. Sometimes that relaxed, comfortable feeling opens them up to fail, which is a major reason you need to stay committed to your goals.

Bask In The Energy Of Becoming Successful

You attract what you are. Once you reach your goals successfully, instead of continuing nonstop, stop for a moment and bask in the energy of success. Some people forget to reward themselves because they do not want to lose focus, which is good, but it is also perfectly fine to reward yourself as motivation to continuing on the path. Think about it, rewarding yourself is food for the soul. You deserve it!

Utilize Technology To Your Advantage

Technological advances have truly revolutionized the way we think, concentrate and prioritize our time. It has also given us the confidence to become whoever we want. There was a time when people had to visit the libraries and attend universities to become intellectuals; now you can earn a degree online from a digital school in the comfort of your home. Becoming engrossed in your own personality takes a different turn with social media pages. Those who have been socially awkward their entire life or ostracized by their own communities for whatever reason could find solace in others on the internet – attracting those with similarities to themselves. This alone gives them a surge of hardcore confidence that they never felt before. Some even go as far as get married to their mobile devices because they love them so much. Social media mediums such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, along with unique niches that you can only find on certain websites exposed people to worlds that they never knew about. This gives us confidence because of newfound knowledge. It also gives confidence because many websites play into our egos. We can truly be ourselves and extend parts of our personalities that we never touched before to others on the websites we connect with. Now, just for a moment, imagine if we were to use those tools for success. We could build empires beyond our wildest dreams and become billionaires, making real moves on the chess board.

Listen To Successful Billionaires

Although the average Joe Blow could have some knowledge that would benefit you, it is a rule of thumb to listen to those who are successful. Billionaires who have been there and done that would be the preferable candidates. Their knowledge was tried and true. Therefore you can trust it. It is best to learn what billionaires focused on during a daily basis and implement their models of success in your own life.

Chapter 1: Focus Begins In Moderation – Take your time in the beginning and slowly ease into it to avoid burn out.

Avoiding A Burn Out

Everything from laptops to motor vehicles has a stopping point. Even our bodies eventually burn out when we work too hard for long hours. Scientists say we only use about 10% of our brains, but maybe that is for a greater reason beyond ourselves that we do not fully understand yet. However, at whim, we could turn our bodies into human-machines generating unstoppable focus force if we really wanted to. Unfortunately, unlike a machine, eventually, the body gives up without breaking down too much. This is why we cannot suffocate ourselves by simply holding our breaths because the body eventually gives in. This is the nature of cause and effect. The key is recognizing feelings of fatigue ahead of time and stopping them before the entire vehicle comes to a screeching halt.

Moderation Is Everything

The iconic philosopher and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson understood the power of moderation when he said, “Moderation in all things, especially moderation,” related to the transcendentalism ideology that talks about how when things are taken to the extreme it will eventually become the downfall of mankind. Just think about it, if you were to focus too much, in the beginning, this could ultimately result in fatigue and a downfall.

Focusing intently when starting on a journey too fast could tire you out really quickly and put considerable amounts of pressure on the brain causing it to strain. This is why you see children who never studied for an exam give up on a test that requires their full attention because the mind goes through a strenuous overload that only leads to two roads; a valiant spirit with confidence to beat those challenges or a submitting in silent defeat. It all depends on what that child learned at a young age from their parents. Some things need to get learned early so when they finally grow up as teenagers it becomes ingrained in your mind. This is why you need to ease carefully into the process of focus.

Of course, this would not be an overnight thing. They key is to take your time in the beginning and speed up from there and then move full speed ahead into the horizon. One great way of relaxing your brain before a hardcore focus event is eating a full breakfast for energy, drinking lots of water for hydration and consuming something like Ginkgo Biloba tea for creativity and focus. You could also listen to binaural music to increase your brain waves before focusing on something. All of these will help jumpstart the focused action the right way.

Day By Day, Little By Little

Once you develop a ‘mode’ and get into the rhythm of it, make that vibration a part of your daily life. The best way to do this is by starting with a few simple exercises. Take a piece of paper and intently focus on the task at hand for at least five minutes and then stop. After a while increase it to an hour or a day. To top it off, do some breathing exercises to calm your nerves before doing intense focusing.

Chapter 2: Get Rid Of Distractions

Remove Distractions

Getting distracted by other entities will only break your focus into pieces that you need to pick up and put back together. We all lose all focus at times, and this is why proper preparation is key. Prepare by essentially removing toxic people, bad habits, ringing phones, loud televisions, mental and physical clutter. Ultimately, this will clear your mind.

Technology

Technology has created conduits of communication that makes interactions with each other easier and more convenient. When you are riding the subway or waiting for public buses, you will see many people looking down at their phones or tablets, especially in the inner cities, totally connected with whatever or whoever on the other side. We are so connected to the digital world all the time that our focus becomes exclusively on that. We need to break that mold and focus on things that will help us become successful.

Toxic People

Getting rid of toxic people from your life is a major key to truly achieving real focus. These people will dish out drama to the point you become inundated with frustration, but also entertained by their personal soap operas. Yes, it might be entertaining at the beginning, but eventually becomes very annoying once you hear about their problems all the time. Think about what this is doing to your focus. You need to remove these toxic people and only bring around those who have the same mindset and goals as you. Clear your mind of the dramatic nonsense and continue to focus more on what you want to do.

These types of energy vampires are just that – sucking up all your lifeblood and making you lose focus. Stop obsessing from their personal reality show and simply move on.

Turn Off Notifications

Understand that work and play sometimes go hand in hand because of the technological devices we use. Laptops, phones, and tablets usually have a split screen where you can do work on one window and play games on another. Simple distractions such as this and sounds from notifications can make you lose focus immediately and divert your attention to nonsense.

While you are focusing on the task at hand, everything else can wait until you are finished with what you are doing. You do not need to have your focus pulled from your work due to a Facebook notification of someone posting what they are having for dinner, or an Instagram notification of someone who is at the beach.

Turn Off The Television

Many people are watching television on a daily basis like there is no tomorrow. In order to really focus the correct way, you need to force yourself to turn off the TV because you do not really need it. Think about, reality shows, the news, and music videos are distractions that really adds no value to your life. Even certain documentaries are distractions because they might tell a half-truth, but it’s all entertainment. These media outlets will cause us to lose focus, so we need to turn them off.

Get Rid Of Certain People

Many of us may feel indebted to certain people, especially family members, friends, and fellow employees, so we keep them around. The reality is that if these people are bringing drama to your life and not contributing positively to your well-being in one form or another, then you need to get rid of them. Negative people can suck the life out of you and can have drastic effects if you let them continue it. There is no moderation with their nonsense. Evaluate what is taking up all your focused energy and get rid of it, no matter what the consequences are. Anything worth doing will take sacrifices.

The Power Of The Going To The Library

If you cannot eliminate these people for whatever reason, then remove yourself from their atmosphere for at least a day. Visit your local library as soon as possible, clear your mind, get in tune with yourself and then push the nonstop focus lever to the max. The silence alone will help you focus in the way that you want.

Eliminate Bad Habits

Bad habits need to get eliminated from your being to focus better. Some bad habits may include getting emotional about certain issues or losses instead of thinking logically about them. For example, if you are working on a project using a Word document and just so happens to lose the content for whatever reason, instead of getting mad and quitting, immediately get back on track and start working again. This time around you may create something better. Nothing is technically a loss; it is just another opportunity to learn what to do better. You could use almost anything to your advantage. However, losses, in general, comes with the territory of success but do not break focus because of this. If you have a bad habit of getting distracted by certain things, then set up an alarm or notification to ring every minute or ten minutes to snap you back to reality. Another thing you could do is create a soothing environment in your periphery by organizing things nearby, neatly, so when the disappointments set into your mind, everything will already be at ease.

Chapter 3: Commit To Your Goals – Stay on your path no matter what and mean what you say.

Once you get into the mode of focus, then it is time to stay there. Losing focus by letting other people take control of your mind and steer you into a ditch is not worth it. Be mindful of what you are doing by paying attention to everything. Stick to your goals, no matter what because there are many distractions in the world. If you find your mind wandering about what you are going to eat for later, then do something quickly to snap yourself out of it and motivate to continue. You can worry about what you are going to eat when you finish your goals. Listen to a song or do something pleasurable that has been on your mind during your focus stint but do not indulge too long. You could even multitask while doing your favorite activity. Really burn the idea of focus into your mind – become engulfed by it and make it a part of your daily life.

Commit To Your Goals

Have a clear mental picture of your objectives and sacrifice things for success. Write down what you want to achieve and post related materials everywhere. When you look or even think about your environment, then an item reminding you to focus will be there. Engulf yourself in goals. Rapper P. Diddy talked about the concept of locking into your dreams. If someone asks you to attend a party this evening, reject it because you got something else better to do. Instead, lock in and do some research needed to accomplish goals. Lock in and commit.

Visualization

Mentally visualize goals by seeing yourself becoming successful. Feel it. Taste it. See it before your eyes or in your mind’s eye and relentlessly remind yourself of that. If you start dreaming about goals while asleep, then you are on the right track. Push yourself to accomplish them by any means necessary. Create another part of yourself who is a hard worker and merge that too, an alter ego personality trait in your regular life, especially if you have a bad habit of being lazy. This will program your mind to snap out of laziness. Open your third-eye and be wise, and continually think about the rewards you will get in return. It is very important.

Mean What You Say

The power of affirmation creation will come into play when you constantly repeat them. Affirmations are statements that you repeat to yourself in an attempt to program your mind. It does not matter if they are true or not, what matters is that you affirm them with feeling, conviction, and emotions. You need to believe what you are saying. Affirmative statements such as, “I am great at focusing on my goals” or “I am the best focused person” are just a few examples. Write them down and post on the wall. Have them near your computer while working. There are so many things you can do with the power of affirmations.

Be A Man or Woman of Your Word

If you say you are going to do something, then do it. Put all your focus into doing it and never let distractions keep you from reaching that goal. You do not want your reputation to suffer because you will become a person known for making promises and never keep them. Even if you do not keep promises to other people, then keep them to yourself. You are worth it. You deserve it. Make a promise to yourself and follow through. Be a man or a woman of your word. This will allow you to trust yourself more.

Write It Down

Some people feel more comfortable putting their deep feelings and inner thoughts on paper. The book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne talked about the power of writing stuff down. Many people who read the book said that when they did this, for some reason, their goals seem to magically appear in their life sooner or later. Your mind automatically focuses on achieving your goals when you write them down because you cannot change them. They are on that paper forever, and your brain knows that. If you were to focus and write certain things repeatedly, like affirmations, you would be surprised at where it leads you. Studies have shown that people who do this are more likely to become successful at accomplishing their goals.

Chapter 4: Reward Yourself – Give yourself time to do things you enjoy every now and then to further motivate you on your journey.

Hard work could be very strenuous at times making you want to sit back, relax and take a breather. To avoid a complete burnout, visit a Caribbean island or eat something that you really enjoy. Ride a roller coaster or go-cart riding. Do whatever is necessary to feel better. The key is to reward yourself with positive things for a job well done because you need and deserve it. Intently focusing for long periods of time on certain tasks can become extremely frustrating, so you need a release, which is why you should reward yourself. On the flip side, it is also making you become stronger because you are essentially developing a focus-based stamina. Once you get to that point, the rewards will come in quicker than a rushing river.

Enjoy The Power and Bask In That Energy

The act of focusing is a very powerful energy, and once you get into the mode, you will accomplish things beyond belief. This in and of itself is a reward because now you have the power to do anything that you want. Think about that feeling for a moment. Bask in it. Accomplishing goals by using only a focused ability? This will give you real power. Congratulations on developing a hardcore stamina to withstand anything.

Absorb the energy and bask in the cradle of success.

Enjoy the reward that will give you more energy to continue the journey.

Chapter 5: Use Technology As An Advantage

Technology has increased the amount of communication and entertainment we experience. Now we can distract ourselves nonstop every day by using multiple forms of media. However, there are a few programs and apps that could limit this. The Pomodoro app breaks down tasks into 25-minute sessions so you can get them done quicker. The Mindfulness App is a great meditation tool that will help you get in tune with yourself throughout the day for the motivation to keep going. The popular Timeout App reminds you to take a 10 minute break after completing 50 minutes of work. This definitely comes handy when doing large projects. StayFocused is a Chrome add-on that helps block out certain time-wasting websites that you personally select. How many of us need this in our life? Audible will allow you to read books without using your eyes that way you can focus on another thing while learning. Great for multitasking.

The Power Of Music To Focus

Many world-famous artists, sports performers, and entertainers always talk about listening to their favorite songs before entering the arena. Listening to certain songs such as Eye of the Tiger will give you that push and apps such as the iTunes will allow you to create a playlist for an iPod. Energetic football player Marshawn Lynch says he listens to Lil Boosie No Juice for motivation before game time. In the movie Gone In Sixty Seconds, Randall “Memphis” Raines played by Nicholas Cage turned on the song Low Rider by War to help him and his crew focus before stealing cars. You do not have to commit Grand Theft Auto after listening to certain music, but you can grab your high-quality wireless headphones and type in ‘focus music’ on YouTube to soothe your mind.

Document Your Flowing Ideas

When working on certain projects, especially if you are multitasking, sometimes ideas will pop in the head and start flourishing like flowers blossoming in the spring, but sometimes we forget about those ideas minutes later. Programs such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word Live will automatically save your ideas on a cloud, no matter where you are or when you type them. You could also use these programs when completing a writing project, especially if you have a habit of jotting down confused thoughts.

Now that you have accomplished the goal of enjoying success let’s learn from the best…

Chapter 6: Learn From The Best

Billionaires Focus On Only One Target

The best way to learn the act of focus is by paying close attention to the professionals. Use them as examples of what you want to accomplish. Billionaires are the best models for this because most of them have utilized their focus abilities to create entire empires that yielded unlimited wealth.

Warren Buffett focused on business while Oprah focused on entertainment. Bill Gates focused on software development and John McAfee focused on creating virus software. Steve Jobs focused on technology while Dr. Dre focused on music. The list goes on and on. One thing is for sure, these people knew their lot in life and followed their passion to the extreme. Eventually, their nonstop dedication and focus, against all the odds, helped them become some of the most highly successful and respected billionaires in their world.

MyTopBusiness website stated that most billionaires, in fact, focus only on one thing; their business. They zero in on a specific business idea and relentlessly do everything in their power to build it. Rapper P Diddy said on Ustream, how can he get to the big job if he cannot finish the little job. Let’s take a look at John McAfee for a moment. John McAfee focused on virus protection programs during a time when people were unfamiliar with how computers worked with viruses. However, he was able to create an empire after the movie Hackers got released because they are exaggerating the potentially damaging effects of computers. John McAfee was able to exploit those fears and become one of the most successful virus software developers of all time. All it takes is focusing on your business, and you will succeed.

The wealthy focus on earning more money and building new businesses while having the right mindset for success. No matter your economic situation, focus is key to success in this world and billionaires prove it.

Conclusion

When it comes to the act of focusing you need to have a peace of mind so go somewhere quiet. Start your focus off slowly and then speed it up later on. All distractions need to be removed from your immediate environment to focus. Once you are successful, then it is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Really enjoy it. After focusing for short periods of time, then you could work for days, weeks, or even months nonstop. Focus software programs and apps are available on the market to help with all this. Download them from iTunes or the Google Play store. Understand the path of billionaires and use their business models in your life. And most importantly, commit to your goals.
