Set in 2o18/34. 2o34 portrays the sad decline of a disintegrating leading class who use their diminishing power and influence to wreck society and the ideals of a largely apathetic working class. The growth of populist, extreme candidates, has been the product of a degenerating democratic system, fuelled by the antipathy of the East, who have waited a long time for the decline of the Western powers and are ready to assist in its demise. The lives of two people weave through the story depicting the struggles through the period of Brexit and the aftermath, culminating in 2o34, where oppression and a dystopian era engulfs most of the developed world. This is essentially a novel, not sci-fi or an historical concept; hoping to engage the reader without provoking anger or antipathy. If anything, I would be happy for it to encourage discourse and rational debate.
